Pizza Ranch - I have a complaint about the manager at the Kentwood, Michigan Pizza Ranch.

It was 3:30 pm approx time

The Pizza Ranch in Kentwood Michigan

I called the day before, on May 4, to ask about the time it changes from lunch hour to dinner hour pricing. I had just gone on the website for the Kentwood Pizza Ranch and it was said dinner price Kentwood Mi starts at 3:00 (yet in the past, when we got there rushing by 3:00 we were always told...

"No that's wrong ….. the dinner price doesn't start until 4:00."

Well, when I arrived with my couple of lady friends (with more on their way)

I saw the bulletin board behind the manager saying dinner hour starting 3:00 p.m. I said "Oh wait a minute I just called yesterday and inquired about the lunch price & time and they said dinner price starts at 4:00 the change over to dinner price.

He said well, we just changed that today..

I smiled & said"Well of course you will honor the price I was told on the phone, right"."No ", he said"Just like when a gas station change prices. You could see a certain price for gas and you come in an hour later or a minute later and the price has changed and that's how it is."What?

I said"Well this is not a gas station This is a restaurant and that's not the way restaurants operate. Are you saying that everyday I should call in a half an hour before I arrive to make sure if the lunch time changed or the prices all changed?"He said something about my"escalating comments"and he was not going to remedy the situation..."So I have to ask you to leave."

I was horrified!

I have never been turned away from any establishment in my entire life.

I did not raise my voice ever I was always talking quietly to him.

We left & I said I will never be back to this location and none of my friends will either and that he can just read my negative review.

I am a professional retired teacher with a master's degree and I am 70 years old, an attractive lady nicely dressed and I was treated like scum.

This manager did not want to listen to one sentence from me and was just blocking anything I said when I was speaking in a very quiet tone but I know I was feeling angry but never loud or shouting or threatening in any way. I just wanted to be treated fairly and he wanted me to immediately leave.

Desired outcome: I would like some action to be taken against this manager. Firing him would be appropriate. I used to work in the restaurant business before teaching.

Sorry you were treated that way! We just had a owner try to fight my baby's father last night while he was holding our baby! Over us having some complaints about undercooked chicken, no desert, and most of the pops being out of order. We were done and trying to leave, at our cars and trying to get baby in car seat. When he ran out the building and got in my exs face and my baby's! It was nuts 😳
