Improving post pandemic
We have been regular customers of Pizza Ranch Sterling, Il since they opened. The post pandemic atmosphere is improving compared to pre-pandemic. I want to thank Mat for returning the Christian music this past week. The facility is promoted as a Christian company, but post pandemic conditions has not made that as obvious as it was before the forced shutdown. It is improving and I want to thank you for the effort. I can get verbal with my comments, but this one is positive. So thank you Mat! Harry

August 25 birthday party with 15 people.
On August 25th, 2023, a Friday, 15 of us were all going to Pizza Hut for my birthday party. I had made a reservation the day before. Imagine my dismay and shock when we got there and found a note on the door saying they closed at 4:00 p.m. because they had no servers. We open the door to go in to find out what was going on and a person standing there told us they were closed. And it wasn't an employee but someone from outside. So, not even a phone call to let me know that we probably shouldn't show up, and no employee at the door to answer questions. No apology, no nothing. Just take my party somewhere else at the last minute. I complained on "messenger" a few days ago but still haven't gotten a response. Very unprofessional, very frustrating because I've always loved Pizza Ranch and it's been our go to party place.
Desired outcome: Nothing

Went in for dinner last night at the new location in Cambridge Minnesota, Most of the pop was out, My chicken breast was half under cooked with blood on it. We have been to the Iowa City, Iowa location several times as it’s close to the VA Hospital. The salad bar is never maintained there. Today it had dried out pale lettuce with rust on top of the usual mess. Seriously, if they had a surprise inspection they would have failed on the salad bar alone with all of the cross contamination. Also, it seems there...

Read full review of Pizza Ranch and 1 commentOld food, dirty dishes, custom paying on the side for pans full of only chicken legs.
03/20/2023 6:30 p.m. . 2450 Westdale Dr. S.W Cedar Rapids Ia
Arrived to a bare pizza bar. What was there was dry and crusty. Warmer window pizza was old and dry as well. Chicken brought out was raw. Witnessed a cook bring a warmer pan of chicken legs to a woman who paid him cash on the side for the special order and replied to my husband "oh well, she's a paying customer," We had already waited at the least 45 minutes. I had twice requested Tuscan Roma Pizza. Never received pizza or or chicken. Needless to say we left unsatisfied and disgusted. The salad bar was dirty, empty and dressing bottles almost empty with crusty lids. They would definitely fail an inspection! Which Will be my next step.
When he brought clean dishes out the dishes were dripping with salad salad dressing, all kinds of food. His reply was" oh well ,I just bring them out, I don't wash them. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO ANY PIZZA RANCH AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO ANYONE!
The guy working there was cussing and the food was warm and dried out. The Pizza was cold.
When we walked into pay, the guy behind the counter charged us wrong, then corrected it, he was cussing the whole time. We went for my husband's birthday, February 7, 2023 The food was warm, not hot and dried out. We didn't ask him to make new food, he was not in a good mood. He stood in the kitchen eating food, on his phone. He dumped all of the pizzas in a bin. We were very disappointed Steve and Nancy [protected]

A couple months ago my wife and I stopped at Helena, Montana pizza ranch. I like fried chicken, first two pieces that we got, had blood running out of it yet, not fully cooked, then I went to get something different, the plate I picked up, had food waste stuck to bottom of it. I held the plate against my shirt as I was looking to see what I wanted. This wa...

We live in Rock Rapids. We ordered Tuscan pizza and chicken. The chicken tasted gross like old grease but the worst thing was the slimy, rotten spinach they put on the Tuscan. It even smelled and tasted rotten. We called back and they wanted to know if it was just wilted. I told them it was definitely rotten and slimy prior to being put on the pizza and cooking slimy spinach won't make it fresh tasting again.
Desired outcome: Don't worry about it. We will NEVER order from there again and I will let everyone I know about why.
Management harassment
All of the below has happened between the timeline of 8/1/2022 - 10/1/2022.
I am a former employee of the Kansas City North Oak location who was extremely verbally abused by my management staff as well as very nearly physically abused multiple times.
The Kitchen Manager at the time, Leah, was on heavy drugs (heroin) during work hours and would verbally abuse anyone and everyone I have recordings of her yelling at staff. She threw bus tubs at one of the dishwashers and cursed at him repeatedly. She would regularly scream at us about how she is quitting right then and walking out and that it is our fault she is quitting. She would throw her keys at me nearly hitting me each time.
The General Manager, Michael, refused to do anything when this was brought to his attention multiple times taking the two of us (myself and Leah) outside to “talk it out” which just consisted of Leah saying her personal life is affecting her work life and no change being made.
Michael himself often verbally abused his staff, just recently calling a new hire stupid for not knowing the new register system. He throws things and slams thing and makes comments to each and every staff member daily about how they are the reason his life is ruined because they (the managers) cannot do their jobs right.
There have been multiple times where I am left to run 3 or 4 positions by myself while Leah, Michael, two pizza cooks and the busser are outside smoking and gossiping with no regard of the restaurant.
I was told multiple times to quit as it would be better if I weren’t there since Michael “could run the entire restaurant by himself without incompetent staff holding him back”. He refuses to let staff members leave at a scheduled time, often times making smaller crew members stay passed their scheduled time off so that Michael himself could leave early.
Multiple staff members are operating machines and fryers under the influence of marijuana which they smoke on the restaurant property.
Michael himself has shown up multiple times drunk and recently high.
Methheads and pizza ranch. Kcmo
They do not supply insurance for employees can’t call in sick , and if you do employee has to find replacement or there fired they keep food longer than they should’ve and health department claims employees never wear hair nets around their beards plus they take your tips and split between all employees there prime stars and far from church representatives if they can’t take care of there employees they end up with drinks and methheads that can’t pass drug tests that’s the only reason they still have help. And some staff work hard but there robbed of their tips daily
Desired outcome: Health department hot spot
Children in the back room
I work at the Helena Montana location and ever shift that she works Stacy brings her small children to work for her entire shift. This has caused many problems in the restaurant from slip hazards to tripping hazards with then running around where only crew is allowed. They have helped them selves to the candy in the funzone on several occasions causing loss to the company. CPS has been called and the children are still in the back room of the restaurant. I have worked here for over a month and have tripped over these children twice and I am 7.5 months pregnant, I don't want to fall over a child and loose mine!
Alana the assistant GM is in need of a serious attitude adjustment and training on how to be management in manner and all respects. She yelled at me in front of other employees as a reprimand for doing something wrong and it was not my mistake but the General managers mistake! When I tried to explain to her what happened she yelled at me again and said she was not going to discuss this at this time. She was rude and disrespectful, so much that she made me cry.
Michelle Elaine Lehrkamp [protected]
Desired outcome: I would like the children gone and an public Apology from Alana.
Raw chicken
We ate at pizza ranch in oskaloosa iowa on november 27. We waited for fresh chicken. When it arrived it looked good but when we stuck fork in it,blood spurted out. Fortunately no child bit into chicken. Waiter offered to get new piece but we declined. We wll never eat here again nor recommend it to anyone. Raw chicken is major caue of salmonella. Alsi the biscuts were burnt on outside but dough inside. Something needs to be done about this.
Delivery
Always call for a delivery and they say they can’t deliver. Then I have my boss call and they deliver. Talk about bad business when they turn down orders. Every other time I call they say they can’t deliver and then my boss calls and they deliver. And this place I want them to deliver to orders a lot of pizza from the Hull Pizza Ranch in Hull Iowa.
Desired outcome: That this ends and when I call for a delivery they make it happen tired of excuses.
Service
I wrote a complaint some time back about the service, lack of food in the buffet and food being cold, when we were at the Pizza Ranch #5930 in Ottumwa, Iowa. Your lack of response to that complaint by not only corporate and/or the restaurant #5930 only tells me that you have so many customers that the loss of one family means nothing to you. One thing you should always remember is that one person can tell 10 others about what happened and each one of them can tell 10 more and on an on, now we are talking about a large number of people. Even if only 10% decide that maybe they should eat somewhere else, you will have lost a large amount of your business. Must be nice to be so large or have so much money that you could care less about the loss on 1 or 10,000 customers.

Desired outcome: I really do not expect any more of a response then what we have received to date, September 13, 2022
Mistreatment
Council bluffs, IA. I am a previous employee of the pizza ranch here and I was a dishwasher amd the reason I quit was because the dish machine was down for the whole day and our manager didn't want to close they shop. Because we had 6 parties the Saturday after Thanksgiving and she didn't want to reimburse their money and me and and my wife and another coworker and the closing manager didn't get out of there until about 110am on Sunday they work us like we were back in the 1800s and every other night the manager wanted us to only be in the dish room for an hour after we closed. My question is how can she expect us to get this done when she has everyone else leave and expects one person to get everything put away and operate the dish machine?
An Order
I had put in a few months ago about my order; I wasn’t happy because upon delivery I was missing some things but the pizzas looked like they had been flipped upside down and shaken around in the box. I filed a complaint with the feedback on my receipt and then I would call the local office in Sheldon and twice the manager took my. Number down and said she would handle it and give me a call back I never heard a word. I’m upset because I spent over $60 bucks and it wasn’t even satisfactory. I’m more upset that no one took my complaint seriously.
Desired outcome: A refund or gift card
Manager, issue about the signs for using new cups & plates as stated for customers.
He implied we were racists, when my boyfriend saw a woman refilling her soda with the same cup. Contacted the staff to tell her to use new cup and she yelled I know, I know as she went by our table, staff told her. Woman was Hispanic, but spoke English. Gentlemen did the same about refilling his Soda, my boyfriend approached him, gentleman said he could...
