Hello customer service,
Just to let you know Julie at ups in Rolla [protected] was not a pleasant person to deal with when I phoned around 800 am 2/23 to inquire about my package that was sent to me feb 10, and it was feb 23 several days late. I do understand with weather delays but I was tracking the package daily so I could leave my front gate to my property for your driver open for convenience as it's normally closed to help ensure the cattle stay where they are supposed to.
For about a week your tracking would say "out for delivery " today by 9pm only to reset and give me a weather delay on my computer screen when it got late in the day. The next day same thing "out for delivery ".
Then it said "loaded on a truck out for delivery " for 2 days so I called since I live on a private road to suggest another delivery location in A township where I could just pick it up.
I called on the 23rd at 600am and spoke with a very pleasant customer service rep and she said she would locate the package and call back in a half hour.
At 800 I called back since no one called and got Julie. I tried to explain to Julie that the package, coming from Arizona was almost 2 weeks into transit and suggested they drop it off at usps so I can get this over with and speaking with her she said in a sarcastic, surly tone and inflection, "I don't know what you want me to tell you". I replied "tell me when this package will be delivered so I can close my gate or drop it off in town". Then she tried to explain the logistics of the drivers out there and they may not make it today and would likely be tomorrow even though it was supposedly on a truck. So I left it at that.
15 minutes later the truck shows up but my package was not on the truck and he was stuck in my yard. He calls Julie on speaker phone and I hear her saying to the driver "I told the guy he wouldn't get the package till tomorrow ".
I could have walked away and let ups pay for a tow truck, but the driver was a nice guy,
So I pulled him out with my tractor.
I just felt compelled to let you know this employee, Julie was very unprofessional and rude. I think she would excel as a car insurance claims adjuster, NOT customer service.
This is the only time I have run across an abrasive employee at ups.
