When they go over the condition of the car - be careful. I noted a few scratches on a 2021 Malibu and then dropped it off the next day, the agent spent 30 minutes going over the car, got on the ground looked underneath and told me I dented the under panel of the left passenger door and put a claim in to my insurance - also charged my credit card an extra $500. Both State Farm and Capital One confirmed these claims are coming in more and more with Enterprise putting in claims - just to get the deductible (the insurance company disputes them but they keep the credit card charge)
Desired outcome: honesty

Experiencing the same thing right now. I returned a rental car Sunday, 3 days later finding out they charged my bank card $500 and claiming I damaged both front and back bumper. When I picked the car up there were black marks all around the base of car. The rep told me it was tar and to not worry. I took the car because it was only one in my insurance price range. Now they are claiming damage, charged me with out notification, even noted the car was soaking wet when I returned it. It's rained the last 4 days here- come on, of course it's wet. Disputing it now.
