Giant Food / Giant of Maryland - Unprofessional, disrespectful and poorly trained manager

Store #743 october 8th 2023. At 3:08 p.M.

I went to the store to return 2 items that expired the same day I purchased them. When I approached the customer service desk to speak to the supposedly manager, she asked me for my receipt that I placed in front of her. I attempted to explain the reason I was returning the items and she immediately cut me off explaining to me that I bought 1 and got 1 free. That was not the case. I again attempted to explain why I was there. Again she didn't want to hear me. I asked if there another manager that I could speak with she said no. I retrieved my receipt and products and left the desk. I went on to try to make another purchase so my trip would not be in vain. As soon as I got in line to be rung up she came over to the register and whispered to the cashier and the cashier looked directly at me. Then the cashier whispered back in her ear and the manager looked at me. Cashier stated she had to go to the bathroom at that time the manager took her place and said she would take me if I was ready. She was unprofessional at customer service why would I allow her to be disrespectful again she was targeting me trying ro intimidate me. I got out that line and went to another line did my transaction and went to receive my 2 dollars credit because the store has poor wifi connection in the store so the giant food app does not work properly. I called the corporate office the next day to voice my concerns. I was given a case # and told the district manager would be reaching out to me within 24-48 hours. Three days later I called back to corp off and was told my concern would be resent and classified as a priority. Waited again no one contacted me. I called back and was told that the district manager was so busy. And then that story changed. I was asked what time did the store incident happen and that was reason why my concern was never addressed. But I was never asked about a time of voicing my concern. I've gotten put on hold, lied to and this is ridiculous from everyone in management. I was told that the matter could not be handled by the store manager because it involves a manager. The store name used to be one of excellent quality service and products. I'm still waiting to be made whole again from this horrible experience. Tasteless is an understatement. And no one has reached out to me as of yet.

Desired outcome: To be made whole again for time and money spent twice for nothing being resolved and money I have spend going forward to return products I cannot use.
