Hi,
This is the 3rd attempt to complain. The first 2 have not been responded too.
Dear Vauxhall,
I have owned one of my Vauxhalls for approximately 5 years. Its a Zafera Tourer reg LC65 AOJ. I have recently been dealing with Yorkward and Rowlett in Wellingborough. First time the vehicle went there was for a service last year. I did mention that the n/s wiper was hitting the pillar whilst booking the service and MOT. The driver was nice, but when I checked the wiper, it was exactly the same when delivered back to me. I was told that it had been adjusted. The MOT failed on the front tyres. It shouldn't have, as they were perished but the structural carcass was 100% intact. You cannot fail tyres if they are perished, the structual integrity has to be compremised. The tyres were low on tread so I just got them changed anyway. Had I took the vehicle to VOSA, this would of passed and there action to follow. I know this because I was a MOT tester. I went to get the car retested and asked again to look at the wiper. again I was handed back the car and went to the carpark to find that nothing had been done. I went in the showroom and said the wiper is exactly the same. the lady I dealt with was very nice. I recognised her from Dantre Vauxhall in Daventry when that was open. she said, we know what the fault is and she would orfer the motor in to get replaced. I went again to them when the part came in. bare in mind its a good 17 miles away. I checked the wiper function while I was there and it didn't hit the pillar anymore. On closer inspection when I got home, I noticed that the trim around the wipers were not fitted properly. I also noticed the wiper position was not parked correctly either. I used to be in the motor trade 10 years ago, so I wrote the the dealership (pictures were also attached) and said ill fix it but just don't have a go at the technician please. It was Dan Robinson that got back to me. He was absolutely brilliant in his professionalism. He rang me and asked if he could have the opportunity to rectify the fault. He also said he will pick the car up and replenish the fuel used to get it fixed. He also sorted out a electric Combi for a courtesy car by my request. The vehicle was swiftly repaired and I thought nothing of it. Approximately 2 weeks later, I was on the country lane and the driver side wiper came off and luckily landed in the trim well. on looking at the wiper, I had noticed that the mounting of the wiper had been glued together. The wipers never had a issue because it was me who bought and fitted them on. So the glue could of only been done in one place unfortunately. I managed to fit it back in place and managed to get home safely. I ordered some wipers off Amazon straight away. But the final thing that has happened is this week with all the rain we have been having. The n/s wiper arm started hitting the pillar again and after a couple of days the wipers were making contact when in park position. This morning, I took the n/s wiper arm retaining nut off and it was not tight enough. I repositioned the arm in the correct place and no more hitting the pillar. But the wipers were still contacting in park position. I went to remove the driver wiper arm and again it was not tight. I have adjusted the driver wiper too. Just wanted to let you know that I will never trust the technicians at this garage again. the stress and hassle the workshop has caused is to be quite frank, embarrassing. The warranty and servicing is not competitive but its not exactly cheap eighter. Very, very disapointed with Vauxhall. I am a Vauxhall fan and also own a Vauxhall Astra reg DV18 VXU which also never go to this dealership too. The google reviews for Vauxhall Bristol Street motors in Northampton is very poor too, 3.8 score is not very promising. Vauxhall, you chose the wrong dealership. I was very happy with Dantre when it was a maindealer for Vauxhall. But the ones local to me are just clowns. Do I start looking for aniother brand of vehicle. You'll probably say yes.
I would also like to mention and when I was asking Sam at Yorkward and Rowlett about information about the full electric Combi. His knowlegde was poor.
Lastly, I hope this is not the case, but there seems to be a lot of unhappy reviews from customers with foriegn decent names from Yorkward and Rowlett. Take a look your selves on google. It may well be just me but there was a slight sense of unwelcoming from Sam and some of the service staff members. But would I of paid attention to this if the car was not so poorly dealt with. This feeling may just be me.
