I am a 100% disabled combat veteran who was told I would qualify for Social Security and was assured that I would receive help throughout the process. After waiting for over a year, I was recently informed that I do not have enough work credits to qualify. To make matters worse, I was essentially abandoned at this critical point, despite having a Judge-appointed court date scheduled for December 2024.
The level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty I've experienced is appalling. Not only did they give me the runaround for over a year, but they also failed to provide the assistance they promised when I needed it the most. I trusted them to help me navigate this process, and they completely dropped the ball. Avoid this service if you expect honesty, transparency, or professionalism.
Don't use them! Thanks for taking care of America's Veterans. You should be put out of business. I have already contacted my family's attorney to litigate this, and I am going to sue them for a couple million.
Recommendation: Don't use them. If you need help applying for social security use a company that operates in your state. I would never advise anyone to use this unscrupulous company.
It's outrageous that after a year of waiting, they failed to support you properly, especially given the critical importance of your case. Misleading a veteran with such a serious matter and then disappearing when things heat up is beyond unacceptable. It sounds like you've done the right thing by getting legal representation to hold them accountable. They clearly underestimated the repercussions of treating a veteran like this. Best of luck with your case; they certainly deserve to be taken to task for this level of negligence.
So it's their fault you didn't have enough work credits? And one year for a final decision on SSD is really fast, I would assume due to the lack of work credit. They do have a very high BBB rating. 2 and 3 years is much more common. Don't know if you would still be able to get SSI since you draw income from VA.
