We were eating breakfast, there was a manager going aroung asking every table how their breakfast was, when he got close to our table he passed us up and went to the table behind us and all the other table s which every other table beside ours was caucasion. I told my mother "its because we are hispanic" She agreed, I thought racism was not bad anymore until we went into that restaurant, I will never eat at another Village Inn again.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I just love how people pull out the racism card every chance they get.
You people who are making comments must be white instead of knocking me down why dont you look at the real picture, there is too much racism, someone should treat you like crap you would probably like it, you idiot!
You should probably stop making assumptions as you don't appear to be very good at it.
OOOH all hispanics are racist now Good One!
Let's see, were you and your mother talking to each other while the manager was approaching? Because in that case the manager wouldn't want to be rude and interrupt. And as a matter of fact, I find Hispanics to be more racist than any other nationality. Sorry just a fact based on my own experience...
I could see if you are complaining about how your food was prepared or you were not being served properly from your server but there has been many times I've been in restaurants where the managers went asking people from various tables about their meals and not all were asked for various reasons not always obvious to the patron. I believe every good person once race relations to be good and this can only be accomplished by not constantly attributing everything that strike you as odd or different to be racially motivated by angst or hatred.
By doing this IMO is the epitome of racism and the tactic is used politically and socially to distract and disarm opposing viewpoints, there are individuals in society today whose bread-and-butter depends on continuing racial angst and distrust. Martin Luther King in his famous speech talked about the content of a person's character over the color of their skin, I wish more people thought like that.
I actually get really annoyed when the manager or staff ask me how my food is, just leave me alone, I'm eating, if I've got a problem you will definitely hear from me, I have been known to get up from my table and walk to the kitchen. All the manager has to do is just slowly walk the floor, I will flag you down if there is a problem, but when you see me shoving my food down my throat like I am at a trough then leave me the F*** alone as I am obviously enjoying it, and if I have to paint myself black or any other color so they leave me alone then I will do that. You are actually lucky you don't get pestered at Village inn.
One of the cooks at this particular restaurant was rude and just perverted. My daughter is only 16 and he made a pass at her. Without trying to get my husband involved I made her switch seats with me so she was facing away from the kitchen ( Which is where he kept walking from.) When we were getting our check I asked for the mans name. They told me Cedric. I wanted to look further into this to see if I had anything to worry about. It turns out he has been arrested for selling cocaine and other sorts of drugs. Village Inn is a lovely place. But I think maybe they should check their employees more thoroughly so the customers won't feel uncomfortable or threatened. They have lost a customer for life.
1st I like to say we went to the same village inn on mother's day-best food & service we got.
Went again on [protected] -waitress hardly paid att. to our table, cold coffee, never asked for refills on drinks, picked her nose at all times walking thru the place
cashier or manager I complained to, could not care less
