waitress
Went to the pueblos location on 2/24/3018 never thought my family would be treated and judged by our skin color. Waitress was some white lady with black gagues and tattoo. brought us our drinks and never came back to take our food order had another mexican waitress come to take our food order. Waited almost 45min still no food. Never did anyone one come and check on us. First waitress never stopped by to check on us. She just would pass by us and ingore my family.
everyone around us had their food and were sited after us. Have been going to this restaurant for a long time. Will never go back and will be letting people know about the service and how we were treated and ignored by your workers because of the way we looked. Never got the girls name. But if this is the people you hire shame on you. Asked your other workers for the corporate number no one had it or could find it.
manager
Hi im an employee actually a hostess and my manager cedric is bullying me. He says i am racist voted for trump and want to send all non whites out of the country. Also when i ask when i work next he sent me a text saying that the number is not in service and that its not fake. Clearly he is bullying me and im tired of it i asked for another managers number he said im the only one you can text so its a problem that hes the one bullying me
nasty managers/dirty store.
The Suffolk location is very unprofessional my sever was very sluggish my food was nasty store wasn't clean when i went to ask for a manager sever rolled her eyes. Manager came to the table was any better she acted as if she'd cared whole time looking at other people told me it was the cooks fault they couldn't handle the amount of business. Overall experience 1 being the lowest will not recommend anyone i associate myself with to eat here ever.
Stop lying. You used to work there. How does a customer have pictures of pans located in the back of the house? Before you try to sabotage the restaurant that fired your sorry @ss, grow a brain and at least TRY to be intelligent enough to show that you're not a disgruntled ex-employee. By the way, disgruntled means angry. I'm sure your tiny brain was unaware of that. What a sorry piece of 💩. Smfh
free entree which we took the pie
Village Inn at 4040 East Bell Rd AZ store #110800
We ordered Fish Fry and the wife had Smothered Chicken which comes with free Entree slice of pie or salad or soup which she took the pie, our waitress said that will take the price of the pie off up at the cashier, so I go up to pay she takes the price of the pie off.But then I give her a coupon that came in mail from Village inn. And she said I can not use the coupon with the free pie.Sorry that makes no scene if it is a free Entree .It should not matter she should have taken the coupon as well.I then said take the coupon which was for 1 free Entree since we had 2 dinners and she still billed me for the pie which do not under stand if my wife would have taken the salad or soup I would have been billed for ether one of those.
Can you please explain your policy on this matter since they couldn't? Thank you

food
Today, 2-4-2018 we went for breakfast at 6:50 am to the ken caryl and c470 location. There weren't many people there.
We ordered 2 vib meals...cheese omelet, French toast, bacon country potatoes.
The potatoes were cold and it doesn't seem to matter what day or time we order them, they are COLD. The French toast might have been hot, but the syrup was not heated, so it tasted cold as well.
We live close by and eat out daily. We come back to this restaurant about every month hoping for improvements, but it is always a disappointment.
I have told them that items are cold...I no longer do as nothing ever improves. COME ON...the place was practically empty and no one could put the syrup in the hot water to make sure it was hot when needed and what's with the potatoes?
I think they must put them on the plate while they cook everything else.
The plate is warm, so maybe they think the plate will warm them up?
I am not sure we will ever go back for breakfast as I am just sick and tired of paying for cold food.
food
We went to Village inn after a church function and we all got coffee. Time was about 9:30pm we noticed the coffee was very light. After tasteing it it tasted like water mixed with coffee and was very cold. After talking to server he said he was sorry and advised that some times the other servers mix hot water n coffee to finish and get out faster. He made another pot, upon receiving my food and half way through eating I found a hair in my food a very long one. My plate was taken and then made another plate (egg and chorizo skillet) cheese was not melted and cold. No manger ever came to apologize they did take a beverage off for the service but I was expecting my plate to be taken off and it wasn't. My Bill with all of us was 99.14. Thanks

service and cfc
On Thursday Dec 28th my family and I went in to eat at the Oakview location in Omaha, He.
We all ordered an array of food from breakfast to dinner, I ordered The CFC and Double Blue Berry pancakes... upon my food being brought out everything looked great, Once I got to my eggs and CFC the eggs weren't cooked right and the CFC was hard as a rock. I brought it to my waitresses attention and she (Alicia) rolled her eyes and said it looks fine to me... we got up d idnt ask for to go boxes etc. Went up and paid and it was the Asst Manager, her collar was blocking her name tag. Her her what had happened and she said all I can do for you is take $4 off your bill. We weren't so happy, paid and left... won't be back to that location.
service and food
Went to Village Inn on 12th St in Ogden Utah for what I thought a Christmas Dinner it was the most horrible food and service I have received here in Utah our food was so under cooked we couldn't even eat our Christmas dinner and our waitress was terrible once she served the food we never seen her again to let her know not to mention we had to sit with empty glasses cause not once did she offer to refill our cups or to even check on us so once she finally decided to come to our table to throw down an 80.00 dollar bill that was out rageous considering the food and served was horrible we thought maybe we would have coffee and pie and hot chocolate for our kids but nope that wasn't even offered such a horrible experience as far as a Christmas Dinner goes we left there still hungry cause we spent 80.00 dollars on a dinner we didn't get to eat.. at the time there were maybe 6 other people in there so being busy was not the answer..
You should have asked for the manager. And really, the restaurant should not have been opened on Christmas.
service/management
While dining at this village inn by the southlands mall on 12/21/17 @ approx 7:45pm I experiences the worst service I have ever received anywhere! After waiting 10 minutes for just our drinks and another 10 minutes to even place our order my 5 children were getting restless. After watching 3 other tables that were in a different section get their food after they came in after us I too was getting annoyed. Finally after being in the restaurant for a total of 45 minutes our food finally arrives... Missing eggs, pancakes, tortillas and no refills for anyone's drink and no silverware or napkins. I get up and ask for a manager. I as a restaurant manager my self I would have expected much more from this gentlemen! I explain our situation and his only response was "i'll make sure I talk to the server", ok first of all we saw this "server" once so who are you going to talk to?!. Then another server and a busser who is out of uniform working come by our table and says "thank god it's my table". Excuse me?! We are not in the wrong, we waiting forever for our food and then it comes incomplete so yes I was upset. Then the manager walks around the corner and I tell what his employees had just said and he tells me "well I didn't hear him say that", ok well I did and so did my kids. The manager then goes back to the kitchen and returns to my table with boxes and asks us to leave! Wtf?!? So before I say anything else I pack up 6 meals and my family and head out the door. Then the busser follows me and my family outside and tells me to "shut the [censor] up, you fat ugly [censor]". I wanted to pound this mans face in but didn't. I will never be returning to any village inn ever. All corporate had to offer was a gift card. Take your gift card and stuff it!
service/food
The service was terrible it took about 5-10 min to be seated and acknowledged. The restaurant wasn't busy ither. There was one couple infront of us.I could tell they were getting frustrated too.The manager finally came and seated us.The waitress never asked us what we wanted to drink until I had to ask her.My husband wanted pie before he ate dinner, but she never brought it.The chicken was tasteless. Our waitress and another employee left the place for about 10-15 min.and we needed service. When she got back we cancelled the pie order.Employees very loud talking while we were eating.Seen an employee counting money right behind the register not to safe. This was our first time dining there and not a good first impression.
manager service
So I walked into the Village Inn and the Manager was helping the cashier on the register. I was not acknowledged at first, then about 5 to 6 different customers walked up to pay their bill and the Manager helped them all on the other register. He then also acknowledged that he will be right with me. Which was fine, I patiently waited. After helping everyone he went right back to helping the lady cashier. I waited even longer and nothing, finally I walked out. I feel that it was rude to stop what your doing to help everyone else and leave me standing there. Not that I minded waiting for the Manager to collect the money from guests paying their bills but to go back to helping the cashier and not seat me was rude! So I'm not as important to take a second and seat me and tell me a waitress will be right with me. No, just help everyone else and leave me standing there even longer. That is exactly what that felt like. I have always had good service from the waitresses, but what happened to me today was flat out rude.
manager and servers
I recently worked at the VI on 72nd and Sorenson. Dale, the GM was a lecherous troll. He was constantly hitting on the servers, one in particular, Michelle. He afforded all kinds of favors for her and several other servers. He would make me stay at least an hour after my shift to roll silverware, that had not been washed, and was never really clean. And then he'd ask me to stay and do other side work. I was opening the restaurant and wasn't even making minimum wage. I basically worked from 5 am to 2 pm and did everyone else's sidework while they talked or texted on their phones. The cooks were an entirely similar story, always on their phones, never doing what the were supposed to do. Ticket times for one table in the restaurant at more than 20 minutes because Felipe couldn't be found. Terrible experience. I am a good server and would love to stay at VI, but that store is a disaster. One hostess was called a racist [censor] because the guest's to go order wasn't correct. So Dale did nothing, except remake the food for free. There was nothing racist about it. That manager is horrible, kissing employees and touching them. Please look at the CCTV footage and you will see. This is only a small inkling of the stuff that went on there. Thanks, Heidi Von Baruth
manager aisha ewald at the village inn in ankeny, iowa
Our family has frequented the Village Inn in Ankeny Iowa weekly since it opened.
We have enjoyed the menu variety, good quality, and friendliness of the staff. Turn over has been high the last several years, but that's the way things go sometimes.
Our complaint was the way a manager named Aisha Ewald handled our order that we have made WEEKLY since the introduction of your Early Bird Special. Since it began, the explanation of the special was one of the 4 entrees, one side, and either a salad, soup or piece of pie. We were encouraged through the years that this was a great deal because we could order any pie we wanted, not just the double crusted fruit pie that your normal Wednesday special offers. However, Aisha informed us and rather rudely at that, that we were only allowed the fruit pies no matter what we had been told through the years. We politely told her we would not frequent Villag Inn again. With the numerous fine restaurants in the Ankeny area, why would we frequent one with such poor customer service? After Aisha heard this, she sent our server to tell us we would be able to have the pie we had originally requested. She never apologized nor did she speak to us herself.
Our original statement stands. Both IHOP and Perkins are closer to our home than Village Inn. That is where we will be taking our business.
Thank you for your time,
David and Cheryl Pittman
overcharged
We went to village inn for lunch. Noticed on window free pie on Wednesday. Presented coupon bogo to waitress. She said just give it to cashier and he would take care of it. Never saw waitress rest of the meal. Upon checking out we were told we can't use coupon because we got pie. Nothing was said prior to that. There is definitely lack of communication here. We ordered a hamburger and grilled cheese, plus drinks. A $25 charged, which we should have been charged half. We will never return to your restaurant nor will we recommend VI to anyone.
pies & service
I purchased a piece of pecan pie it was only a half of a whole one and it looked like someone had scraped off the other half I am very disappointed in that and I feel that paying $ 3.99 plus tax was a rip off to me. The service was very lousy my husband and I walked into the restaurant waited for 5 min to be seated then waited for server to come over and take our order the server forgot my salad my husbands got on dressing for his salad no honey or lemon for my tea though I order it when I finally my meal it was not complete forgot cranberry sauce, no butter for biscuit's called the server back at least 5 times to get things including a fork, salads dressing and others, My trips to your restaurant's will be very limited I don't feel that I was treated very well for the money that I paid and feel like I was cheated out of my pie Thank you for reading this email Linda Edwards
Did you tell the waiter or ask for a manager?
pricing
I don't understand why it cost so much to build your our omlet and be healthy. If I were to get a veg omlet, pancakes and fruit it cost less them just a 3 veg omlet. You are why America is so unhealthy. I would think you would be better them then that. It really disgust me. You could make it an even playground. My husband would like you to hear the syrup. I would like a responds please. My e-mail address is [protected]@yahoo.com.
drug use
I was at the location off of 48th and i25 in Colorado. The person I'm filing a complaint on is a female. She was a thin younger female I think her name tag was Jaime? It looked like she might have been a supervisor/manager. I had a basic inquiry and while we were communicating, I had noticed her pupils were dilated indicating she was in use of some sort of substance. I feel in any industry it should be a mandatory drug free site. Knowing I was serviced by someone who was under the influence of any substance concerns me deeply. She may not have touched any food served to any customer in the restaurant but knowing someone who is supposed to have the responsibility of a supervisor/managerial position is an active user in drugs/alcohol isn't leading any positive example for the additional staff. I will not go to that location again, I'd appreciate if this company make sure they are aware of their employees and if they are following proper procedure. I strongly believe village inn should do a mandatory drug screen on any new/active employees to make sure health code violations aren't broken and the location itself potentially get an even worse reputation or loss of the location in its entirety.
Good morning, my name is Matt and I'm with Village Inn Guest Relations. It's very concerning to hear about your interaction with Jamie. We'd love to follow up with you about this. If you could email me at matt.rampey@villageinn.com with some contact info (phone number, email), we'd really appreciate it.
free pie
My buddy and I were going to get free pie today after our meal, until we noticed that every waiter/waitress was pulling spatulas out of sanitization water, not wiping it off and dripping nasty water all over every slice of pie. Our waitress left without a word, leaving us sitting there until I spoke up to the manager about the waitress and the nasty water being dripped all over the pie slices.. she was as rude as she could be, told us that was how they do it... she offered to do NOTHING about the unsanitary way they were serving without wiping the nasty water off the spatulas and was as rude as she could be. I forgot her name, but she was in a pink shirt acting as a manager.. the worst customer service manager Ive ever dealt with. Location.. Academy and Palmer Park, Colorado Springs, CO.. today at 2:45 pm..
Hi, Kevin. My name is Matt and I'm with Village Inn Guest Relations. So sorry about the visit to the Palmer Park location on Wednesday. We'd love to follow up with you about this. If you could email us at matt.rampey@villageinn.com with some contact info (phone number, email), we'd really appreciate it.
pies
Went into the 22nd St store in West Des Moines Iowa store and asked for a custard pie. I was told they only make one a day. I told him how could you only make one custard pie for a whole day? He replied that his manager was actually thinking about not doing any custard pies. I said no wonder this store is losing business to other nearby restaurants and bakeries. I have been here for 15 years and the service at this store has steadily gone down. I would have normally looked into another pie option but the attitude turned me off. I didn't get the young mans name at the register but it was at 8pm on Tuesday night Oct 10.
