Stop payment of benefits/documents submitted on time
Sent numerous emails to VEC to show that documents for PUA has been uploaded and nothing has been resolved. Also sent copies of uploaded documents and confirmation numbers to show proof. I advised that I would contact Congress, governor etc to get this resolved they still don't care. My payment has been stopped since May. I advised that confirmation numbers and documents have been sent several times through email. Gov2go and customer service is rude and not successful. People have bills to pay and family to take care of. How do you just stop individuals payments for no reason and because your system is messed up. They keep rerouting calls and paperwork and there is no resolution. My email to reach me is [protected]@icloud.com
And my name is Christian Walker
Here are copies of all
Confirmation numbers of uploads sent on time.
Desired outcome: Payment
Andre Lassiter
I have sent numerous emails to the VEC and have advised that I was going to reach out to my governor in regards to not receiving payments. PUA claimants had to upload documents I did and received a letter dated 06/18/2021 that reflected a monetary amount based off my 2019 tax return which I uploaded. The document indicated I qualified for PUA . However I never received payments since May 28 was my last payment. Please see attached. I can be reached at [protected]. My email address is [protected]@gmail.com.
Unemployment compensation
I have not received my unemployment benefits.
Filing was on 6/19/2021
All weekly filings have been completed since then.
Several calls have been made to the VEC, operators are always assisting others.
Therefore, I have not been able to speak to a actual living human.
Please assist with a Phone number to a live person
Email: [protected]@live.com
Phone: [protected]
Thank you,
Randy Beverage
Unemployment not received although filed for 6 weeks, can't speak to live person!
Filed unemployment claims via automated system, haven't received check since 5/30/21. I still file and submit my 2 job searches weekly and registered on the Workforce Connection site. I have tried to reach a live person and there is never an option. Automated system says there is an issue with my claim. Email: [protected]@kent.edu Phone: 330.607.3624
Desired outcome: I need to talk to a live person regarding my claim. I call constantly and that option is not provided.
Pua benefits abruptly stopped without explanation
The last week of may was the last time I received my weekly unemployment Pua benefits without any email or letter explaining. Iv reached out several times with my local employment office with little to no response. As seen in my daily research online Iv enrolled in the ID.me application and continued filing weekly on Gov2Go. Is there anything else I can do. I seen on here that it is my federal rights to continue receiving my benefits till my Buisness can pick up or Iv exhausted my resources.
va peuc and unemployment compensation excessive delay in federal benefits our legal right
Federal unemployment compensation is a federal right and it's the law. If this continues, then we should pursue it legally together. I have been waiting for more than a month, and have still not received my payments for more than a month now. The first week, they said it was a system outage. The second week, they told me that I need to verify my identity. I verified my identity, but still did not receive the payment. The third week, I was told that I have to unenroll and reenroll in PEUC, and I did that. Still no payment. I have been applying for jobs every week and I have been claiming my week payment every week. The fourth week, they said that we have to be registered at VEC workforce connection, but I already was. Then they said we had to be applying on that site, but the next rep said that was not true as long as one is applying for jobs. The last this week said that I have to unenroll from PEUC 2021, and then enroll in PEUC, since I had not used that yet. I am still waiting for a payment, although she said I will have it next week or maybe even this week. It is frustrating, and it is a breach of my federal rights. I have been very patient with them, but now I am very frustrated and I think we should start a petition and consider further action if this continues.
Desired outcome: PEUC and Unemployment backdated to last payment retroactive by tomorrow
My complaint is allllll of the above except I applied last july 2020 did not hear from them or get anything until Feb 2021. Then they stopped it abruptly in May 2021 & I’ve been fighting with them ever since…..again! I’ve sent over 50 emails, faxes, & letters….no response. They missed a payment in April 2021, they never resolved it. Just last week someone called me from VEC to tell me to call another 866 number in 24 hrs saying that this would be my claim rep. Well when you called that number it was a vm to leave you phone number & someone calls you back. Someone called back 3 hrs later to tell me basically they really don't know why my PUA was stopped, them she said i needed to upload my tax forms, i told her all forms was already uploaded twice. Then she said, well it will be forwarded over for processing & to call back. Next day i call back, same thing someone said oh its going to be process. Huh what are you talking about because i was already approved and processed. So that rep has no clue as well. Basically they are giving me & others the run around with this PUA/PEUC. I still look for jobs and turn in my jobs on govtogo every week as required. VEC is the worse agency in VA they should have been prepared by now. Everyone needs to be replace starting at the top! So put me on this lawsuit!
I am in the same situation as you, I have been 4 weeks with no payment, the only response I am getting is that there is an outstanding issue? I have called numerous times to be told by a recording to call back later, after listen to about a 3 minute recording every time! super frustrating! I have also been applying on the vec site, and have made sure my resume is up to date. I just emailed the govenors office... and my local unemployment office letting them know I have contacted them. I'm thinking, in reading through different articles that they hired 500 additional people to help? whhhaaatt? then why are we not even getting correct or even ANY response? I'm thinking the director of that particular state agency has NO idea what they are doing. I agree with you completely. Where do I sign up?
Lack of consideration
Doesnt feel like they care or know that this is detrimentally affecting us. We didnt put ourselves in this mess. THe government and the powers that be did. We are just trying to pay bills, at least. Why is there no human response? Covid is a trite excuse. It isn't viable anymore.
Unemployment benefits
I woke up this morning with another disqualification on my claim. In March I had a disqualification I got paperwork sent to me from the VEC to have filled out by my doctor and faxed, I did that and the disqualification came off. Two weeks later I had an outstanding issue got that issue fixed and taken off. A month later I had another outstanding issue due to IDme That I got fixed and taken off. Now two weeks later, it is now July 7th I am left with another disqualification. How does this keep happening? You literally cannot get a hold of anybody to figure out what the disqualification could be. I have not received an email I have not received any paperwork I have not received anything on the Gov2Go app, and now I'm just fed up!
Desired outcome: Get my issue fixed
Unemployment
I have been waiting over 18 weeks with no payment. IF you can get a hold of someone, and that's a big IF, all they say is we have no timeline and you just have to be patient. Maybe they should contact all my bills and let them know to be patient! I don't understand how they just don't give out any pertinent information while we just stress and worry about how to survive!
Desired outcome: Payment
I'm sorry this is happening to you also, just know your not alone.
Unemployment after bye week
My name is Jason DeBord. I had refiled after my bye week in March and have continued to file without payment or any communication except Id verification. My last payment was March 23. I've not received any correspondence or payment. My employer chose not to call previous employees back which is not my fault. I have applied at numerous jobs to no avail.
Please help me
Jason DeBord

Desired outcome: Receive my backpay and payments I am owed
Unemployment Benefits
I lost job due to being sick with Covid I'm Oct 2020. I received benefits until February. I refiled because my BYE date passed and I was told to refile. I have not received a penny since Feb. I was sent paperwork in mail to fill out and fax back. Not only did I fax back but I mailed back as well. I still have not heard anything. I have verified my identity like asked as well. Can't get ahold of anyone, can't make an appointment and I am going on 5 months no payment. This is insane. I guess seeking legal advice is the next step. Please help before I have to file in court.
Desired outcome: Back pay
Unemployment- cannot reach a live person or receive a letter
I continue to call to get an update on my unemployment application.
Its been over a month and I call everyday and it hangs up and says to call back later.
I have emailed a few times as well. It is impossible to find out the status of my claim. The extra 300 per week has now ran out so not sure what happens with that as well.
I need the unemployment to live on.
Desired outcome: Unemployment is approved or a letter staying why not
Can file claims but never received a single payment
I have been filing claims since January of this year but I never receive my payment. The VEC told me to wait back in February and I STILL haven't gotten a payment and when I try to talk to someone via email or calls, no one will respond to me. What gives? If I can file a claim, why do I not get a payment? I have done everything correctly and have received a monetary determination which I can provide if necessary. Please contact me and fix this, it has been keeping me from being able to function and keep my home.
Desired outcome: Tell me what I need to do to get my lawfully acquired pay and back pay.
Ui/pua
I filed my initial application for state unemployment benefits in Aug 2020 and filed through Dec. I applied for pua with documentation to increase my monetary determination. Today (July 3, 2021) I was denied for UI. I have also reapplied for pua. Do I need to resubmit documentation to increase my monetary determination? If so, I need a link.
Desired outcome: PUA
Unemployment Benefit
Hello,
I have applied for unemployment early May and received the letter on confirming my effective date is May 14, 2021. I have submitted my weekly answers to questions with the employers I have applied. I called the [protected] regularly and get the same response that I have outstanding items and it cannot be processed at this time. I have never once been able to speak to a person in the numerous phone calls made.
I cannot continue to pay my bills. I live in the state of Virginia. I tried to go to the unemployment office that is apparently nonexistent. I was told it was the Commissioners Office and nobody would talk to me.
I do not understand, I have never been unemployed in my entire life.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Gina M. McGee
Desired outcome: Receive my compensation
VEC, Unemployment Insurance Benefits,PEUC, ARPA 2021
When the Pandemic hit and everything shut down in March of 2020, I along with millions of others were forced to apply for our Unemployment insurance benefits. I was approved for traditional UI through the VEC after supplying the neccessary W2 documentation in April 2020. Traditional UI eventually ran out and I was approved for PEUC in Jan 2020. On 4/24/21 I received a letter from th VEC stating that my benefit year (BYE) was ending, and that I would need to start a new claim in order to establish a new BYE. This new claim resulted in what they call a Double Dip(DD) as I'd not been employed in the past year due to the Pandemic. I received an email from the VEC stating that this claim would have to be denied in order for my PEUC to resume. My employer called and emailed the VEC om my behalf, to verify that there was still no work available due to the Pandemic. I then received a letter from VEC stating that not only had the new claim been denied but my initial claim that the VEC approved in April 2020 had also been denied and that I was liable to repay over $32, 500. No explanation for the denials was provided. I filed an Appeal on 6/7/21 wherein I uploaded the same W2 they used to approve my initial claim. I finally spoke with a VEC rep who told me me claim had been denied due to "unavailability to work" -this is simply untrue as I have always been able and available to work. The VEC rep I spoke with placed a hold on my claim and now I unable to access any of my information through the VEC website or their automated phone line. As of today, I have gone over 10 weeks without payment, as I continue to search for work and struggle to provide even the basic necessities for my family and elderly mother. At this point, I don't even have the funds to put fuel in my vehicle to get to a job, let alone pay the utilities that would enable me to work from home or the ability to pay for the roof over our heads. The VEC needs to be held accountable for their system glitches, mistakes and utter ineptitude that is forcing thousands of hardworking citizens into poverty.
Desired outcome: Reversal of claim denial determination, Release of PEUC back pay, Resumption of benefits
Unemployment benefits
I am writing regarding an ongoing issue with my unemployment payment. I have been unemployed since 04/25, due to covid 19 I had to become a primary care giver for my child who attended school virtually. My employer refused to cooperate with the change of schedule and I was forced to quit my job. The last payment that was processed for unemployment was on 04/23. I kept filing weekly claims and submitted all required documentation and job searches that were recently added. However, no payments were proccessed after 04/23. My family has been struggling because my unemployment was our source of income until I was able to obtain a job. After numerous failed attempts to reach the unemployment office by phone I decidedly that trying to Get in touches with a live personal to resolve my issue is not possibly. I received a letters I had been approved in May however, no payments were made.
Desired outcome: Retroactive payment of owed unemployment benefits
PUA Unemployment Benefits
Like many on this site, I too had my PUA benefits abruptly cut off on May 26, 2021. In April 2020 my small company closed because all of my customers offices were closed due to COVID. This PUA funding was the only thing that was keeping me afloat and like others was no where near what I was making pre-forced lockdown. I stay on top of the unemployment requirements so I would comply with the requirements so when the PUA documentation notification (red alert box on the gov2go website where claims are filed) appeared I followed the links entered my social, name and the message popped up that there was nothing to file. I filed my weekly claim, attached my job search results but no weekly deposit of funds received. I repeated this effort for two additional weeks each time the red PUA documentation box appeared I went through the same process until the third time when I received the message "your documentation was due by May 28, 2021 and that time has passed". I have called VUE using every number listed and like the others on this site cannot reach anyone. I emailed Gov. Northam's office and got a response that they could not assist me but forwarded my concerns to the VUE - the next day I received a generic email from VUE with all the numbers I have been attempting to reach. My partner and I both rely heavily on this funding to live and now have nothing, having exhausted our savings over the last year and a bit. I have applied for every job I can think of and been turned down for all of them and I'm talking cashier jobs making $10/hr. I strongly believe it is because of my age (64) and his (60) though both of us are seasoned business owners with successful history. Also, for those who are unaware, every local VUE office in the Northern Virginia area is still closed/shutter due to COVID as I have attempted to visit them desperate to see what can be done to restore the benefits, all to no avail.
Desired outcome: Contact with a real person or restoration of benefits
Unemployment benefits
I received unemployment benefits and took a temporary job for 6 days. My benefits were ended. I was told to reapply. I received 1 weeks benefits then it ended again. There has been no communication from VEC. I have attempted for several weeks to reach customer service. Phone, email, online. Yesterday I did get put on a call back list. When I received the call no one was on the line. Then they hung up. I paid all these years into the system . I need my benefits. I am a single mother. Rent is due in 5 days.
Desired outcome: Receive my benefits that have been withheld.
No Customer Center callhelp and online chat no help. Been at it for 6 days.
I randomly stopped getting my weekly claim. Followed all directions for Real.ID and applying for jobs with the new format we have to follow. This is extremely frustrating. When you call they just hang up on you and now even online text just kicks you out. The one time I got a person they just hung up on me. It was wasn't so difficult before. What has happened in the past week? You can't just randomly stop paying people and expect them to figure out what is happening then no one can answer their questions. HIGHLY FRUSTRATED!
Desired outcome: please advice
