I placed an order on a Thursday evening and received the order by the following Monday afternoon! Three and a half days delivery at the regular free shipping rate. Depending on the item, there can be a wide selection of product available from the Vitacost house brand to other well-known brands. Enough information is provided so that the consumer can make a good, educated decision as to what brand best suites the buyer's needs. I especially like the fact that, besides a wide variety of supplements, there is also a wide variety of food products at reasonable prices. The website is well designed and easy to navigate.

I found this company a few years ago from an online ad and have been dedicated to shopping there ever since. I find their prices and discounts on healthy foods, vitamins, supplements and personal products far exceed what I pay here in ***. I have had a few episodes of broken glass and damaged items through shipping or lack of proper packaging protection and had to contact customer service. I have always received a replacement or credit with no questions or issues. I love the coupon codes and offers on individual items which can (for the most part) be used together. The shipping is relatively quick and efficient. I highly recommend VitaCost!

Vitacost.com I've been a Vitacost customer for about ten years

I've been a Vitacost customer for about ten years. I spend approximately $50 to $100 every few months and have always been completely satisfied. Of course there have been a couple issues over the last ten years like bags or bottles that leaked or other items that were damaged during shipping. I usually get to keep the damaged item for free and they send a full replacement. I communicate on-line about problems and I have always gotten a replacement shipped out if something arrives damaged. I save so much money buying food, vitamins, and other health products from Vitacost versus my local health food store. Thanks for being such a great company Vitacost!

I have used VC for several years now, and I have been very pleased with most of their products. When i did have a problem they dealt with it quickly. They don't carry everything, but they still provide a good selection. Through trial and error I have found that their own brand of vitamin products is generally better than some of the name brands, and at a lower price. I love there quick delivery. However, I have noticed when delivery relies on *** it takes 8 or 10 days to get things. Happily, most of my orders come out of *** and are delivered by OnTrac. They are quick and very reliable. I live in ***. and i usually receive it the next day. It's great.

I always find items for good prices here, I like to check clearance and see what extra goodies I can get ( this time it was a *** Bees hand moisturiser set?). I thought I'd try the sweet tangerine 'Positive' tea blend from Yogi and I love it!I always get the 32 oz *** soap , it's such good value for money!This is where I like to find things I can't find elsewhere (without travelling all over, especially these days), like Xyitol, Xylitol toothpaste, supplements, flower remedies, Eco trash bags or cleaning supplies for great prices with free shipping to my door in a very timely manner all while notifying me of my order's readiness, transit and date of delivery!

Vitacost is absolutely the BEST online place for our supplements and my GF products.Have shopped VC for over a decade, recommended to many people, and appreciate that they have excellent customer service. I used to shop for a few products on other sites but have unsubscribed from them due to big time issues with not being able to communicate directly when issues cropped up. I don't need that hassle or aggravation.Vitacost's prices are overall BETTER than other places, inclusive of local health food stores. So why shop anywhere else? Also: their warehouse packages even fragile items like chips and glass bottled items very securely. In the rare event that someone at the warehouse got "sloppy" and didn't package carefully, I've had no problems with getting the issue resolved. I HIGHLY recommend Vitacost!

Vitacost.com I love shopping with you all

I love shopping with you all..I do miss the Vitacost brands organic unrefined coconut oil big mondo jar 56oz , the raw organic seeds, your line of other organic foods like ginger medallions, also dried fruits l ordered at times are all gone. I noticed says "Details" in the order page... been like that for several months! ...?... I would like to see them come back glad you still have the organic canned goods which I buy often? Also the dried beans? I have bought grains but noticed some grains aren't available either..Are you discontinuing them? ? Also I appreciate the friendly staff and agents when I have an issue it's resolved quickly...Thank you so much for being there for me...I have depended on this company for years and ordered many many times... I had on order issues but got resolved quickly...Say some packaging issues and broken boxes not the company's fult but the delivery personell I'm sure ..Glad these issues are ent happening again..Ha maybe they all got fired at the Post Offices they got damaged where they got shipped through ido pray they did.. Once I had a box where the entire bottom was broen through but ll my items where there another time a box was severely damaged and crackers got crushed one was was opened.. another I had lost items due to damage which some I did not report or ask for replacements I took a risk and ate them but others o could not such as soy milk and dish soap one was leaked half way of two I ordered ? they had leaked all over .. it leaked 2 quarts of soy milk all over came to me empty... I was not happy but has been much better since I reported them to Vitacost.. ? I think the sorting stations need to make sure things are sealed in bags ..Then I started getting things in ziplock bags thank you...so if and when they leak there's a catchment system..Anyways long and drawn out here sorry for my many words ...All is well now no issues with boxes being a mess at my door now..

Vitacost.com Canola mayonnaise bottle broken, item # [protected]

The Canola mayonnaise bottle was so broken that you could hear broken glass sound and mayo squeezed into wrapping material around bottle. No other product in order was damaged from the leakage. I do not have a camera that can take pictures but I am an 88 year old lady who is spiritual and honest. Vitacost.com ancient secrets bath salts from the dead sea Patchouli

I took a bath in this product. I submerge my head as well. after the bath I found I had a build up of residue that would not wash out so I had to cut some of my hair off, and my bath tub has this residue all over it that is very difficult to remove. I have to use a spot remover and its taking a lot of work to get this residue removed.
I called customer service and ask to get a credit on four cans of this. She offered one credit only because 60 days had passed. My boyfriend only orders ever 60 days. I said I want to file an official complaint and the representative hung up on m. We are very upset with this product and customer service.

Desired outcome: We want a credit on all four cans of this product.

Vitacost.com Email spamming

I cannot stop their marketing emails! Using the unsubscribe link several times did not work, so I called twice and was assured both times that I had been taken off the email marketing/sales list. But they keep coming--more than once a day. When I filled out their online "Contact Us" email with general feedback about the emails, it would not go through. Message said to try later. This is most unacceptable and unprofessional. I will not buy from them again because of this email issue. They know about it and have not taken necessary steps to fix it.

Vitacost.com Authorization hold for excessive days

An Auth hold for $250 done simultaneously as several charges for shipments equaling $250 were done. So my account was debited $500 for a whole week including Cyber Monday. I couldn't even buy groceries that week. I have never had that done by any business. Who can afford an extra $250 debited?
Couldn't buy groceries. Couldn't buy gas.
Once a charge goes through my checking account, I cannot access the funds. They are unavailable to me. So it's unnecessary to do an Auth hold. No business has ever done this to me. A hotel might charge one night out of 7 for a stay and drop the charge when you cancel or charge you the other 6 days when you arrive but that is entirely different. It's not the whole amount.
I wasn't paying for a hotel.
The VitaCost charges were worse than a hotel charge.
I always leave some money in my checking account for emergencies. The extra $250 that they debited was my emergency fund. I don't consider them doing an Auth hold an emergency.

Desired outcome: Do Auth for smaller amount or % of total or do not do Auth holds

Vitacost.com purchase

I ordered about two weeks ago After long time get email delivery undoable because of address problems(lived here over thirty years} Contact vitacost They say it will never happen again I write ? What will never happen again Now I get package damaged. Reorder? Which is it damaged or undeliverable? Don't want to go through this again. After much frustration with csr and all she can do is refund or reorder. Today I get e-mail that it was delivered I searched property no package On line again with csr She was clueless Had no information and was more confused than I was All she could offer was refund as it had been reordered once or I could call cs Duh what was she wastin my time for if she couldn't find my package CSR tells me it was an email to them to let them know the package had been returned to them Had nothing to do with me even thought it had time delivered and said hi connie your package has been delivered containing reorder # What did I need online customer service for? Lots of I"m sorries but nothing for all my lost time and aggivation and now it will be another week until I maybe get a delivery and after this not sure I believe what this lady told me. Totally disappointing and cold interaction I'll drive the thirty miles and pay more next time. I would have canceledl if I didn't need the product and can't travel right now Did business with vitacost for decades This co did a nosedive. Never again Not worth the aggivation and could care less attitued

I ordered Doctor's Best Digestive Enzymes but received Nattokinase. Also, order contained a broken can of soup. I was able to clean everything else up pretty good. Please send digestive enzymes and another can of soup. Pictures attached below.

Vitacost.com Customer service

I just wanted to check on an order. I was on the phone on hold for over an hour. Spoke to 2 agents who could only speak broken English. The first agent had no idea if my order would be sent. She couldn't guarantee the order sent would be the complete order. In other words, she didn't know anything. I called back in order to get an agent who was more knowledgeable and could speak better English. She was worse. I had to give her the order number over 4 times and she still couldn't get that right. I hung up and called back. Another 10-15 minute hold. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was disconnected.

I have never experienced such poor customer service with your company. A disappointment. Next time I place an order I will check with other companies for the items I want to purchase.

Desired outcome: I want the order I placed. If I can’t get the order I placed I want compensation.

Vitacost.com Please put the s back in customer service!

Oh where do I start?!? I have been a customer of Vitacost for the past 5+ years, trying to order from other retailers outside of Amazon. On 5-11-21 I place my usual order for items I needed, roughly $78 worth of goods. On 5-12-21 my items were shipped. On 5-15-21 the package was sent back to Vitacost due too damage caused by FedEx. On 5-19-21 at 0957 I get my first email from Trina at vitacost acknowledging the damaged package and that all items I had ordered were out of stock and I would get a refund. Then at 1028 on 5-19-21 I get another email stating all the items that I ordered have been re-ordered and would be shipping in 1-3 days. Then at 1117 on 5-19-21 I recieve a 3rd email informing me that one of the items were out of stock and would be removed from my order and that I wouldn't be charged for it. On 5-21-21 my second shipment. On 5-26-21 the day my package was to arrive, I checked the Fedex tracking to notice yet again that my package had sustained damage and had to be returned to Vitacost, at which point I contacted Vitacost customer support to let them know the 2nd package was also damaged, in hopes they would send a replacement out much sooner than waiting for the damaged package to return before sending out. It took Vitacost customer service until JUNE FIRST to respond to me with a canned response from Jamie that I would be getting a refund in 2 business days, nothing else. What does this mean? That Vitacost blames me for the poor packaging and or the shipping practices? They no longer value me as a customer? I have not a clue.. So I ordered from Amazon and got my order in 2 days.

The problem with ordering supplements with Amazon is they are expired when they arrive. Amazon's warehouses are NOT cooled. They have locations in everywhere even in desert towns. When it's 107F in summer, or even a 120F heat wave, add some 10-20 degrees extra for the weather in hot warehouses and non-a/c'd delivery vehicles and that is where your no-preservative pills and organic foods are stored. Do you really think, even if they do not look caked on or smell when you receive them, that they are full potency?

Does your driver arrive at 9:00AM on a heat wave day or do they deliver by 5pm? That's how long your pills further travel in a heat wave. I have received rancid oils even in JUNE when it is mild out . If you order natural supplements from Amz and they do not work or cause you harm, that's why! Just do a search for spoiled or expired pills/sups/caps or rancid oils shipped by Amazon!

Amz needs a class ac lawsuit to install a/c at all their warehouses, and ship with a/c too! And no, paying for a cold pack won't do anything when your pills you buy in Sept, Oct or Nov sat JUne, July, Aug in a 120F warehouse! They ship expired already, regardless if your date of exp is 3 years off.

Vitacost.com Order delivery and customer service

I placed an order with Vitacost on May 11th, 2021. (#316518812) I have been a long-time customer and have probably spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years. I have not complained about crushed crackers and chips due to poor packaging or other mildly unacceptable service issues. But today, I am livid. Like many, right now I am a busy business owner and trying to make lemons out of lemonade due to the effects of the COVID crisis. So, I am more mindful of my resources and where I spend my money. I have trusted Vitacost, until today. My May 11th order didn't arrive as promised even though they had already extended the usual delivery times which they projected to be 1-3 days. The projected delivery is the end of the week... maybe. At any rate, it is long after a reasonable delivery window.

When I called today (5/24) I heard a recording the disturbed me and increased my frustration to anger. According to Vitacost, their Anniversary special which ran @ 5/11 created unexpected back-ups and delays which has caused back-ups. They also said they would not be addressing any calls regarding the matter on the recording. I pushed #2 anyway. I escalated to a manager named Crystal (and wasted an hour of my business day including hold times).

I explained to her that this was unacceptable on many levels, a pint which she failed to comprehend. My major issues were that Vitacost put their profits over customer service and transparency. If the Anniversary sale overwhelmed them, why did they then run additional sales (increased order stimulation) on almost every day since the sale? (according to emails they sent me). Why run more sales when you aren't able to deliver what you have?

Additionally, for all of the sale emails sent, not one email was sent to me acknowledging the delay and giving me an option of making a decision as to whether I wanted to wait for 3 weeks or more for vitamins or grocery items? They breached their agreement with me without a word. I was offered 10% for my trouble which includes purchasing products that I have already ordered from them. This hardly seems fair or appropriate. Their profits are obviously more important than my business.

I finally requested that the order be cancelled and was told that it was not possible. So I'm left to eat double the costs while Vitacost stuffs their coffers. The whole experience is the epitome of Brand Shame. To add insult to injury, the so-called manager didn't even begin to understand why "sorry" didn't satisfy what I feel is a loss of corporate integrity that results in a loss of customer trust. After being told that she was the highest level of "manager" with whom I could speak, I was referred to Kroger. I suppose it never occurred to her that wasting even more of my time on this issue was pouring salt in the wound.

Desired outcome: A Refund for failure to notify and inconvenience that caused unnecessary wait times and increased spending.

Have been a long time consumer of vitacost products but am completely disgusted with their present customer service attitude. Several days ago I ordered products utilizing their BOGO free promotion but the order confirmation did not indicate any duplicate free products. Upon contacting customer service and finally reaching a supervisor I was informed they would not honor the BOGO free offer as it was a glitch in the system. I indicated that was unethical business practice and they should honor the promotion as any reasonable company would do. The supervisor indicated I could cancel the order and get refunded the money and I requested a email confirming the cancellation. No email was forwarded and I received an email indicating the product was shipped and credit card charged. I contacted credit card company with a dispute and they indicated they would ge dealing with the refund

Vitacost does not seem the least bit of concerned with unethical image they are demonstrating.

Vitacost.com shipment not received

Shipped item to me supposedly April 5. Claims it is in transit. I tracked and it still shows that no activity has happened for almost 3 weeks. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE ! I suspect I have been scammed.

There is no record of my orderbecause. Quantity over quality matters too lazy to update the database

Her billing info is not in my account so because I signed in as a guest it was easier to Bill my credit card and send a product that she obviously has not ordered in four months

Vitacost.com Online Access

I have been planning to check out vitacost.com. However, they require I take off all my computer privacy, and remove my VPN before I can have access to their website.

They evidently never considered that the same target market who buy supplements also use VPN for their privacy. We do not owe Vitacom and of our personal information without know ing it. We are here to spend money and purchase their products. That is the only contract we are willing to go into. We have a right to privacy online. Their ecommerce technocrats need to wake up. Goodbye Vitacom. Cannot handle success. Respecting the privacy of their customers is a big hurdle to success. Wake up!

Desired outcome: To be able to access the website without being handcuffed and to remove my VPN.

Vitacost.com Spamming me nonstop

I phoned to complain about their papers paper papers! My last 2019 order shipped split into 3 boxes and papers galore: 2 invoices were sent per box! I received six (6) packing slips!

I emailed, chatted and phoned to tell them to stop. Not only they refused, they are now spamming my email in retaliation. I'm receiving emails from them every 3-4 hours, even 3 days after unsbu! Even after phoning twice to complain about it. They won't let you talk to a supervisor and they claim it's their marketing dept"and they refuse to transfer there.

I placed a huge $200+ order and instead of shipping my order... They continued to spam me! Mind you this is 3 days (three!) after I unsub'd and phoned complaints!

Well, i'm in california and as of 2020 this is against the law!

They don't seem to care much and over the phone, I was told that"I never received more than 1 email from them". Wtf? You work there and this is your reply to me? So I just returned all their spam right back. In less than 24 hrs, i'd already received 8 emails.

I unsub'd and i've already received 12 or more. This is not just abuse, it's against the law!

Vitacost.com packaging

I have been a customer of Vitacost since the late 90's and until Kroger
bought them out have been very pleased. However, since the purchase the packing department has done an incredibly poor job packing the shipping boxes. You are no longer using the heavy brown packing tape on top and bottom. As a result, one order arrived completely opened. The top had one layer of cheap plastic tape. The second order arrived with cracked juice bottles that damaged all the items in the box and damaged the grout in our hallway. It also had no proper shipping packaging on the out side and the juice bottles were poorly packed on the inside.

Vitacost.com discounts, coupons

I have been using Vitacost for seven or more years and been very happy. But the past two years have been a nightmare. Their 'discounts' have so many restrictions there is almost no way to make an order that you actually need that qualifies for any discount.
Last month i placed an order because there was a $30 coupon for future purchase. The order had to be over $100 to qualify, which mine was. They said they notified me on July 29 and in there it said i could buy something with the coupon from August 4 to 6th i believe it was. I have searched all over for that email. I get nearly three emails from vitacost every day. So this tiny window of time to purchase something that i have no record of the notifying me is a real gripe. I can get many of the things i had on that order at Amazon or vitaminshoppe, but i decided to give vitacost one more chance.
THERE IS NO WAY I WILL EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM VITACOST AGAIN.

Vitacost.com damaged item

This is not a complaint. Today I received the rao's sauce I ordered. Because of poor packing 2 (two) of the jars were absolutely smashed. T was obviously a poor job by choy n. And not the fault of the carrier. The box was about twice the size needed. Although all were wrapped before placing in a plastic bag, they were placed directly in the bottom of the box without any cushion underneath. On top massive cushion of heavy brown paper that protected from shock, nothing on the bottom! For many, many year I managed a group of stores in palm beach and bal harbour. Virtually everything was shipped: I even helped ups get government approval for interstate delivery service. I would like a replacement of the two destroyed jars of sauce, (still think the world of vitacost and the incident will not change that, real quality) thank you! Jim rodgers

Vitacost.com fraudulent charges

They charged me 18 times for an order instead of one. They tried to blame PayPal and said they didn't have my money. I've spent over 6 hours now dealing with various customer service reps and still do not have my money back! I'm filing with the BBB next but will never purchase from them again! They continued to tell me they will get me my money returned and are blaming PayPal.

charged me $115.79 on Mar 21, 2019 and again for the same amount on March 22
They are telling me that it is a paypal problem and they have been working with paypal to resolve it.
My fifth phone call to their customer service department I asked for a manager. I got Nina who would not give me her last name or her email address.

We just spoke on the phone and I want to follow up with an email because It has been 19 days since this double charge happened and I have called your offices four times about it.
The first time I was told that it was a paypal error and that the money would be put back the next day. The next day was a Friday and when I called I was told that it will be put back after the weekend on the following Monday. I called again the next Tuesday and was told that Vitacost is working with Paypal to resolve this issue and that the resolution to this problem is still unknown.

I am very disappointing in Vitacost.com's lack of transparency so far in this matter, lack of follow-through with me and failure to resolve this matter and GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!
It has been 19 days so far and I am still being told by you that I must wait.
These are not honorable business practices and I no longer have any confidence in Vitacost.com's claims that you intend to resolve this.

Vitacost.com double charged

I was double charged for a purchase I made. What's extra weird about this is that the second charge showed up a day after the first charge did. When I called Vitacost, they couldn't even give me a time frame on when I could get my refund because many people were double charged. Because of being charged twice, it made my bank account balance go negative. I used to be a loyal customer, but I will never shop there again.
