We flew from Mykonos to Rome (FCO) on 22 Aug 2023. My bag was lost and the Vueling airport agent told me that it would arrive on their next flight (2 days later). Vueling VY3319. Lost luggage trace "FCOVY41433".
I needed some basic toileteries and clothes. I bought a modest number of items, all necessary for my visit.
My bag was returned to my hotel late at night (I found it when I returned from my night out) on 23 August.
The bag was completely destroyed and looked like it was caught in airport machinery and ripped apart.
I wrote to Vueling requesting compensation and provided all receipts. Vueling case ID's [protected] & [protected].
Vueling obfuscated and demanded extranius information, such as the original bag tags from the destroyed suitcase. Luckily I found these and provided Vueling all the infoirmation.
Vueling have ghosted me regarding the destroyed suitcase and it's been six weeks since I claimed and I haven't received a suitable response. I have sent reminder emails that aren't replied to.
Vueling also claim that they will not process my claim for the delayed items because the say the bag was returened within 24 hours. This isn't true as I received my bag late at night on the morning after we arrived in Rome.
I'm surprised that an airline would be so difficlt to deal with and also make statements that are obviously false.
