The service advisors and technicians at Walser Toyota are really good
The service advisors and technicians at Walser Toyota are really good. I didn't get my Venza from them, I got it from Rudy Luther Toyota. But the service at Walser is way better. Rudy Luther tried to sell me a new gasket for my 2015 Venza with 45,000 miles. I took it to Walser for another opinion and they said it didn't need gaskets. They said it just looked like a bad cleanup after an oil change. Now I'm gonna go to Walser for all my service and when I buy my next car, I'll get it from them too.
I tried to buy my dream car from Walser Toyota online, through phone calls, and emails
I tried to buy my dream car from Walser Toyota online, through phone calls, and emails. I was contacted by a person named Kent ***. He rarely responded, and when he did, it was with a very unprofessional one-sentence reply. Even though he was the seller, he didn't seem like one. I called and told him that I was definitely going to buy the car, but all I needed was the proper bank approval. He never got back to me. The day I messaged him, he replied saying, "the car sold a couple days ago." We were waiting for him! It was a complete joke and a waste of time. And they have the nerve to say it's "easier to buy at home."
I'm really mad and unhappy
I'm really mad and unhappy. I contacted them to get my car fixed 'cause the AC and oil have been giving me trouble since I bought it. The oil keeps running out, but no smell or leaks. I got the car on 5/22/2022. I took my Audi in on 8/8/2022 and they gave me a rental car, which was a whole thing. I reached out multiple times and expected a call back, but no one got back to me for almost 2 weeks. Finally, I talked to someone on Friday who said my car was ready. I picked it up on Saturday 8/20/2022, and they said they had no paperwork for me, but they fixed everything and a manager would call me on Monday. On Monday 8/22/2022, they called and said they mixed up my car with another one, so mine wasn't actually fixed and I had to bring it back. A week later, I got my car back, but no one could explain what the problem was. The two pieces of paperwork said "no issues found." That was on Saturday 8/27/2022, and this morning, my check engine light came on and my oil is low. I tried contacting corporate, but they haven't followed up to say if they can help with my car. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had with any company. And on top of getting a faulty car and no help from the service team even though I have a warranty, I still haven't gotten my title for the car or a call back about the same issues it had when I first brought it in.
Today we went to Walser Toyota to check out a mid-size SUV that caught our interest
Today we went to Walser Toyota to check out a mid-size SUV that caught our interest. We were happy when a salesperson quickly reached out to help us reserve the vehicle. We drove for 4 hours on a Saturday to see it. The SUV was listed as a preferred model with leather interior, a tow package, and a power liftgate, among other good things. When we arrived, we were greeted nicely and given the keys to check out the vehicle. Right away, we noticed that there was no power liftgate. Then we realized that there was no leather interior either, but that wasn't a big deal. While test driving the car, we decided to check out the tow equipment and found out that there was none. We went back to the dealership and asked to see the car's specs. They had removed the car from their website after we put a $1000 down payment on it, thinking it was the perfect family car. We found several discrepancies in their description. There were no leather seats, no cooling seats, no tow package, and no power liftgate. The sales manager came over and told us that they had paid a lot for the vehicle. They offered to pay HALF for the toy package to be installed. After doing some research on the vehicle we almost bought, we realized that we would have been paying almost $8000 more than the market value according to Kelly Blue Book pricing. With today's high gas prices and the time we wasted, we are really disappointed with the service from Walser's management. They didn't try to fix their mistake and wanted us to pay more for something that was supposed to be included. They falsely advertised the car, so buyers should be careful and do their research before purchasing a vehicle from them!
I bought a Fiat Spider 124 from Walser Toyota in Bloomington like a month ago, and I wanna share my story
I bought a Fiat Spider 124 from Walser Toyota in Bloomington like a month ago, and I wanna share my story. Buying the car was easy, but what happened after shows how a big dealership can sometimes mess up. When I got the car, it was dirty and had no gas. They also forgot to put on the temporary plate. The sales guy who sold me the car said their mechanics had checked it, so I didn't look under the hood until the next day. That's when I saw oil on the turbo. I contacted Walser, and the sales manager said he would personally fix everything. After a long talk about making things right, and me agreeing, he told me he was going on vacation and would be back in a few days. I agreed to wait and give him a chance. When he finally came back, almost a week later, we took it to the service area to get it checked. A bunch of us were there, and the service manager called one of his mechanics who owned a Fiat to take a look. After checking, he said my turbo might be blown and needed to be replaced. I was not happy, but then the service manager said they had to send my Fiat to a licensed Fiat dealer because they didn't have the equipment or expertise to work on it. Another week passed, with lots of texts and calls to check on my car. At one point, they even said they didn't know where it was. I guess they didn't know if it was still at the Fiat dealer or the detailer. I asked the sales manager for the paperwork from both the Fiat dealer and the detailer. I always like to have a record of what was done to my car and who did it. We agreed on this before any work was done. He said yes at the time, but since I had it delivered to my workplace and didn't want to make the 60-mile round trip for the fifth time, he didn't send it with the person dropping it off. When I called him to ask about it, he told me I could find my service record by looking it up with my VIN. That made me angry, so he said he would send it. That was a few weeks ago, and I still haven't received it. I'm so fed up with Walser Toyota that I decided to cut ties with this dealership. I've arranged my future service needs with Luther Fiat in Hopkins so I don't have to deal with these people again.

I bought a truck more than 45 days ago and nobody's botherin' to call me back
I bought a truck more than 45 days ago and nobody's botherin' to call me back. I've been callin' 'em for two weeks now, at least five times. You can only talk to sales and service, but sales just text ya without solvin' anythin'. They haven't even registered my vehicle as of four days ago.
I went to Walser Toyota in March to buy a Rav-4 hybrid
I went to Walser Toyota in March to buy a Rav-4 hybrid. The salesperson took a $500 deposit and said my car would arrive in May. I got a text from the dealership saying the car was made and might arrive soon, but my salesperson was leaving. Then I got another text saying it would be here soon. It's been over a month with no communication, and I want my deposit back because they're not keeping me updated and may have sold my car.
I bought a Toyota Sienna on 2/28 and it had some extra stuff that I said okay to, but on 3/3 I talked to Luke *** to cancel those
I bought a Toyota Sienna on 2/28 and it had some extra stuff that I said okay to, but on 3/3 I talked to Luke *** to cancel those extras. He wrote it down and said I gotta wait for the loan # from US Bank. The whole amount they gotta give back is $5886.64, and that's with the sales tax of 473.64. Walser paid 2 times, adding up to 5201.84, so there's still $684.70 left to pay. I called Luke *** and the boss Greg *** a bunch of times, but they never called me back.

The back lift gate on my car that I bought a year ago got messed up recently
The back lift gate on my car that I bought a year ago got messed up recently. I took it to the bodywork place for them to check it out. The guy there said he's seen this problem a lot with the Toyota Sienna and some other thing, but it shouldn't be a big deal to fix. But then one of the four people (I don't know who, they won't tell me) said the gate was messed up because of "outside forces," so now all the warranties are useless. But I'm the one driving the car, and even though I told them there were no outside forces causing the problem, the service center won't change their paperwork. I've been using the car and the doors like I'm supposed to, but the service center lied about what caused the damage so they could make me pay for the repair. If they (Walser Toyota Service Center) didn't lie about what caused the damage, the warranty would cover the repair.
I bought a car from Walser Toyota on October 13th, but then I returned it
I bought a car from Walser Toyota on October 13th, but then I returned it. However, they didn't remove the car from my name, so when I got a bill for the car, I called Ally Finance on November 4th. That's when I found out that the car was still in my name and there was a balance due because of a payment shortage. I called the dealership to talk to a manager and resolve this issue with the finance company, but they didn't take the information from Ally Finance seriously. They laughed and didn't want to help. They said all the managers were too busy with other customers because they're the top dealership in the area. To this day, nobody from the dealership has called me back to let me know if this problem has been fixed. I also complained to Toyota corporate.
On 6/30, I bought tires from Walser Toyota during an oil change 'cause they said I needed 'em
On 6/30, I bought tires from Walser Toyota during an oil change 'cause they said I needed 'em. They also said somethin' was wrong with my brakes, so they fixed it. I paid $1,160. On 6/6, my tire pressure light started blinkin' and then came on. I thought my sensors were missin', so I brought it back to Toyota Walser to get it checked on 6/7. On 6/9, I called 'em and they said two sensors were failin'. I decided to pick up my car and take it somewhere else 'cause of the price. They charged me $80 for a diagnostic. I went to another place and they said nothin' was wrong with my sensors. I feel like they didn't even look at my car 'cause of where it was when I got it back, and 'cause they gave me a false diagnostic. It makes me think they're lyin' 'bout other stuff to get more money. My tire pressure light hasn't come back on since I put on tire caps that they didn't put on.
I bought a 2009 Hyundai Genesis from Walser Toyota on 8/13
I bought a 2009 Hyundai Genesis from Walser Toyota on 8/13. There was a TPMS light on the dash before I bought it, and Walser Toyota said they'd fix it. I took it back on 8/19 for the promised repairs. When I left the dealership, the TPMS light was still on, and they told me to go to Walser Hyundai in Brooklyn Park. So, on 8/21, I went to Walser Hyundai and waited for 3 hours while they did the repairs. They said it was fixed, but the TPMS light came back on soon after I left. Walser Toyota told me to take the car back to Walser Hyundai for repairs on 9/8, which I did. I picked up the car on 9/15 after they said it was fixed. But within 5 minutes of leaving Walser Hyundai, the TPMS light came back on. I've been calling, leaving messages, and emailing everyone I've dealt with since buying the car, but no one has given me any details or responded since I picked up the car.
I bought a car from Walser Toyota in April for around $28,000
I bought a car from Walser Toyota in April for around $28,000. They said they would handle the tags and registration, but I wanted to do it myself. They wouldn't let me because of their policy. They gave me three temporary tags, each lasting 30 days, just in case it took longer. I was worried because this didn't seem normal, and I thought it would be a long process. But it's been a while, and I still haven't received my tags or registration. I talked to the dealership last week, and they said the delay is because they don't have the title. The previous owner's lien company, Toyota Financial, still has it. It's concerning that they weren't transparent about this and that it's taking so long. The car was for sale in November , so it's strange that they don't have the title yet. I've heard that other dealerships in some states are losing their licenses for the same thing. What can I do as a customer? I feel completely helpless.
We got a Toyota Sienna from Walser in September
We got a Toyota Sienna from Walser in September. We got the van on Sept. 25. The van had temporary plates that expired 10/16. After 10/16, we still didn't get our plates. I emailed our salesperson but they didn't reply. I called and talked to a manager who said they would check and call me back. They didn't call back. I called again a few weeks later and they said they would call me back with an update. Nobody called me. Today, 12/21, I called and talked to a lady who said there were no notes in my file and it seemed like nobody was working on fixing the fact that we still don't have plates. Then she found out that our plates were sent to some address in Houston, MN. Just so you know, we never lived in or near Houston. I'm mad that nobody could just check our mailing address. So now I have two problems: 1. plates that are registered to me are somewhere and nobody can tell me where. This is an identity problem and a risk if someone is using these plates illegally. 2. I still don't have current tags. I want confirmation that the first plates have been destroyed. I want new plates sent to me as soon as possible. Thank you.
Invoice Number: *** I was charged way too much for stuff I didn't even ask for
Invoice Number: *** I was charged way too much for stuff I didn't even ask for. I just wanted an oil change for my 2011 Rav4. I had a coupon from Walser Toyota for a $39.99 regular oil change, and they said they would honor it on the invoice. But when I went to pay, they told me the technician messed up and used synthetic oil instead, so I had to pay the full price of $60.43 for the synthetic oil. They didn't even try to fix the mistake, they just made me pay more. And to make it worse, the service advisor said my car can only use synthetic oil, which is not true according to the car's specifications. I've been to Walser Toyota before for regular oil changes and they never said anything about using synthetic oil. I also asked for a transmission flush, which they quoted me $120.00 for on the invoice. But when I went to pay, the service advisor said it was actually $162.76. He did say sorry for the mistake, but I still had to pay more. Lastly, I asked for a dye service to find an oil leak. But when I went to pay, the advisor said they didn't have the dye in stock and only found out after the technician cleaned the engine. Even though they didn't use the dye, they still charged me the full price of ***. I want Walser Toyota to make things right and refund me $133.19 for stuff I didn't ask for or get. It's really frustrating to be overcharged like this, especially after waiting almost 4 hours for an oil change and transmission flush. Please help me fix this. Invoice Number:
I used to bring my car to Walser Toyota for service, and they would give me a ride home and back when my car was done
I used to bring my car to Walser Toyota for service, and they would give me a ride home and back when my car was done. But in September , I took my car there to get it cleaned and reconditioned, and they said they don't do that anymore and told me to go to Pappas auto detailing instead. They gave me the phone number and address, so I went to Pappas. My car was running fine, no issues at all. The next day, they called me to say my car was ready. When I got in, I was surprised to find that I couldn't drive it because the engine light was flashing and it was missing badly. There was an older man in the garage, and he got mad at me when I told him I couldn't drive it. He said, "It's because your car is old!" My car is a 1999 Toyota Corolla with 130,000 miles at the time. I had to call my daughter to come pick me up. The next day, the owner of Pappas called and said they replaced the spark plugs and it was running fine. When I went to pick it up, it was barely drivable. They yelled at me and said they were done talking to me and that I should call Walser. So I called Walser and they told me to talk to the service manager, who was really rude and said they would charge me $140 to figure out what was wrong. I called the Walser corporate office and they gave me a refund for the cleaning. Then I took my car to another shop in Bloomington and they replaced my spark plug wires, but it didn't fix the problem. In February , I went back to Walser to see if they could fix my car. They said the wrong spark plugs had been installed and replaced them. But my car is still missing and the engine light is flashing. The manager, Greg ***, told me I'm not a nice person, a bully, accused me of yelling at employees, and said I should never come back. Pappas, who Walser told me to go to, messed up my engine.
On 5/24/22, we got a 2018 *** Civic from Walser Toyota Bloomington
On 5/24/22, we got a 2018 *** Civic from Walser Toyota Bloomington. I'm writing because it's (10/24/22) and we still haven't gotten our title or registration. We didn't receive a notice in the mail like usual telling us our tabs are about to expire. We found out because I went online and ordered new tabs, paying ***. After getting pulled over a month later and being asked by an officer about the tabs, I thought to contact the *** for an update. They said, "I'm sorry, I can't tell you where they are because they are still at the dealership's address." So basically, I paid for the title, transfer, and new tab fees for a vehicle that still isn't in mine or my wife's name from 5 months ago. We make *** car note/warranty payments every month and *** insurance payments every month. All this for a vehicle that can be towed away from us at any moment and we won't get it back without our title that we already paid for. This doesn't make any sense to me at all. I'm totally lost and confused and honestly don't know what to do. This is our only vehicle and our second biggest bill every month after rent. We reached out to the dealership several times by calling, leaving messages, and emailing. Then I got a text back from *** the sales manager, saying, "Give them a couple days and they will give an update." Well, guess what? It's been a couple of days and now we can't even get a text message back, let alone a phone call. It would be really nice to know that someone is actually trying to help us and staying in contact throughout the process, but no, it feels like the complete opposite. Why would they sell us a vehicle without the title in the first place? I don't understand. If they knew they didn't have the title, they should have told us from the beginning. We would have gladly spent our money on a different vehicle. We shouldn't have been charged for title and registration fees if we weren't going to get our title within 10 business days. We definitely should have been notified.
