My name is Holly Longley and I would like to tell you how I was treated by one of your tellers at the Webster Bank in Watertown CT. I am originally from Watertown and still come back to visit my father in Watertown. On all of our vacations I have used your atm with my First citizens bank debit card and never have had an issue before.

I went to the Webster Bank in Watertown as I do on all of our vacations. My direct deposit had been put in my bank Friday Aug 2nd. Here is what I encountered this time and I am very upset with the treatment of your clerk towards me.

I used the indoor Atm. A lady came in behind me at this time as well. You will see us both on your security cameras that you have on the atm. I put my card in thinking the atm was working because it did not show out of order. The atm took my card and did not return it. The lady that was behind me at the indoor atm stated at least you used the indoor one they will be able to get your card for you. I went in line and got to the teller closest to the atm She was blonde with short hair glasses and an accent. I explained that the atm was not working. She snapped at me without even checking the machine and stated that the atm is working just fine. I explained to her that it was not and that it had my atm card. 1st in front of a lobby full of people more or less called me a liar and told me that I never put my card in the machine. At this point I asked her then why would I have come in and reported that your atm ate my card. She finally went back and only opened one part of the atm and stated my card was not there. Then again acting like I was an idiot and the card would be in the slot . I showed her that it was not there and that I know how to read a machine that says insert card here. I told her that if I do not have it andI inserted it into the machine then the machine has my card that is why I reported it. The clerk then went to the drive through teller which told her where the keys where she went back and came out with my debit card was. You would think it would have stopped there but it didn't.

now part 2 instead of me getting my debit card back this clerk refused to give it back to me. And as embarrassing as the 1st part was, she proceeded to tell me That I put a fraudulent card in the machine and that she had to keep my card. I have used that same atm card at the same branch for over 5yrs. Again a lobby full of people when she stated my card was fraudulent. I demanded to talk to a supervisor which she refused. I asked for the supervisor's number again and said she couldn't. . All my vacation money was tied to my debit card and her refusal to help made me have to borrow from people to get home . Not acceptable.

After hearing what went on my father went into the same ATM and inserted his debit card from websterbank and his card didn't work either. He went to the same clerk and she told him that the atm was working, it must be just rebooting. My father got upset with her and went to another clerk to get out 300.00 on his account so that I could get home before the hurricane hit NC even the other clerk stated that she could have given me my card back. I called my bank and they told me there was no fraud on my account. I have fraud protection. Now I had to cancel my card because of her refusal to give it back,now all my bills that are on direct pay with the account have to wait for my new card and I had to borrow money to get back home since I was unable to get access to the over 2000.00 I have in the bank. Also by someone who has an account at that bank using his bank card and proved the atm was not working.

This clerk also stated that my card came out with a receipt which it could not have because all I did was insert my card and never gave me options to put in if I wanted to withdraw etc. I never even was asked to put in my pin number.

I know nothing will be done and an apology is not acceptable. I was embarrassed in front of people by being called a liar and fraud. It was proven it was in the atm and that the atm was not working. I had to find someone to help me get back to North Carolina because of not having access to my funds and now my bills that I have to draw from this debit card will be delinquent.

Very Pissed off at the service at this branch
