WEN Hair Care Review: Great Product, Bad Business Practices
I gotta say, I really dig WEN. My hair is lookin' fly and doin' what it's supposed to do. But lemme tell ya, don't go buyin' one of their "special offers" off their website unless you wanna be payin' $30 a month for a 90 day supply. Stick to QVC deals, they're way better.
My beef with WEN is how they do business. When I signed up for the offer, it wasn't clear that I was signin' up for a recurring shipment and billing. I even checked to make sure that wasn't the case when I ordered. But when I got the product and found out I was gonna be billed monthly for a 90 day supply, I called to cancel. The phone system didn't recognize my account info, so I had to call back and finally got a person. I told 'em three times that I wanted to cancel the automatic shipments and billing, but it felt like they weren't takin' me seriously. They kept tryna retain me as a customer, but I just wanted to cancel. I had to get a little rude to get my account canceled, and I hate bein' rude to customer service people.
I love the product, but the way they do business on their site and trickin' people into automatic billing, and makin' it hard to cancel, is just bad business. It makes me seriously doubt whether I'd ever order from them again. They need to conduct their business honestly and not make customers feel like they gotta cancel their card to avoid any "accidental" charges.
Wen Hair Care Review: Beware of Ongoing Membership & Shady Business Practices
I just bought my first "trial" from wen.com and boy was I in for a surprise! I didn't realize that this was the start of an ongoing membership. I only found out when my account was charged a second time and then a week later, I received a package from them. I was so confused and didn't know what to do. So, I called them to cancel, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. They insisted on not charging me for my last shipment and sending me a bottle of Wen for fine hair instead. They told me that if I liked it, I should call them back and they would start sending me that particular product instead.
I wasn't impressed with the Wen for fine hair. It just didn't work for me. So, I decided to close my bank account and open another one because I couldn't get them to take no for an answer. But, several months later, another package arrived from them, along with a bill. The package wasn't marked clearly and I opened it to see what it was. I was very surprised to find that they had sent me two bottles of the original product that I had tried to cancel in the first place!
I didn't return it since I didn't order it and didn't want to pay shipping charges after opening it. I was told by my attorney that I am not responsible for paying that charge or returning it since they had taken it upon themselves to send me a package even after my bank account was closed out. I sent them a letter saying so and they sent my account info to a collection agency! Can you believe it?
I am now filing a complaint with the BBB. I like the idea of sulfate-free, lather-free hair cleanser, but Loreal has a nice one which is priced decent and it can be found at WalMart. I don't have to unknowingly join a shady membership plan to get it. I shampoo about every week or two and in between, I use the lather-free cleanser. It works well for me.
Overall, I would say that my experience with Wen has been less than satisfactory. I would caution anyone who is considering trying their products to be very careful and read all the fine print before making any purchases. It's just not worth the hassle and stress that I have gone through.
Disappointing Results and Unwanted Charges: My Experience with Wen Hair Care
I got my first Wen starter kit as a Christmas gift last year, and I was really excited to try it out. I had seen so many commercials for the product and was curious to see if it could really restore my hair and help it grow. My mom also got a kit for herself at the same time, as we both have very thin, fine hair. Unfortunately, my hair was in much worse shape than hers. It was brittle, dry, broken off, and uneven.
After just a week of using the product, my mom called me to tell me how disappointed she was with it. She said it made her hair feel really greasy and dirty. I thought maybe her hair was just reacting differently to the product than mine, and I also reminded myself that her hair was much healthier than mine.
But after about a month of using Wen, I started to notice a change in my hair - and not a good one. My hair was getting shorter and shorter due to all the breakage, and it felt heavy, greasy, dirty, and lifeless. It wouldn't curl or straighten anymore, and it stopped reacting to my straightener because of all the grease buildup. I had to wear extensions everywhere I went.
To make matters worse, my mom found out that Wen had shipped her another kit without her permission. When she bought the product, she didn't realize that they would be drafting money out of her account every month. She thought she was just buying a one-time package as a gift, not signing up for a lifelong membership. She immediately contacted the company to cancel the membership, but they kept trying to take money out of her account. They even threatened to turn her over to a collection agency.
Overall, I would not recommend Wen to anyone. It was the worst thing I've ever put on my hair, and it was a complete waste of money. In fact, I had to cut all my hair off just to start over. If you're looking for a hair care product that actually works, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
WEN Hair Care Review: My Hair Fell Out in Clumps and I Got Boils on My Scalp!
I started using WEN a few weeks ago and boy, was I in for a surprise! After a few days of using it, I noticed that my scalp wasn't feeling as clean as it should be. I thought it was just me not using the product correctly, so I made sure to pay more attention to my scalp when using it. But then, I started noticing these big bumps on my head that looked like pimples. I didn't think much of it at first, but then the bumps started to get bigger and more painful. It was like having a bunch of boils on my head!
To make matters worse, my hair started falling out in clumps of five to ten hairs. It was so bad that I had to gather the clumps of hair in the shower and set them aside so they wouldn't clog my drain. And the hairs weren't just falling out, they were breaking off! It was like my hair was being fried from the inside out. And to top it all off, my hair started turning grey or white in the exact spot where the bumps were located. I'm only 41 years old, so this was definitely not normal.
I went to see my doctor and he prescribed Rogaine, but that didn't help at all. I was going through so many medical tests trying to figure out what was wrong with me. It wasn't until I looked back at the timeline of events that I realized it was WEN that was causing all these problems. I immediately stopped using it and started using natural products to help my scalp heal.
It's been a few months now and my scalp is still extremely itchy if I don't treat it at least twice a day. The bumps and ridges are slowly going away, but it's been a long and painful process. I've had to stop coloring my hair because it's so damaged and thin. I recently got my hair cut many inches shorter because it was just too thin and brittle.
I can't believe that WEN is still being sold after all the complaints that have been made about it. I haven't met one person who likes it or thinks it's worth the money. If you want to waste your money and go through the same pain and frustration that I did, then go ahead and try it. But don't say I didn't warn you!
Wen Haircare Review: Incompetent Customer Service and Unauthorized Shipping
I ordered the Wen haircare system about two weeks ago, and I was told that if I wanted to stop the auto ship, I had to call within 30 days to cancel. However, after two weeks, I noticed that our card hadn't been charged, and I hadn't received any shipping notification. I decided to call Wen to inquire about my order, only to be told that the product I ordered was on back order, and the agent who took my first order couldn't verify this. I was so angry because they didn't inform me of any back order status, so I cancelled my order.
A gentleman informed me that my order was completely cancelled, and I should not receive any charges. However, my husband checked our account this morning, and there was a charge from Wen pending! I immediately called the customer service number, and an agent named TAMMY told me that they didn't have the ability to see back orders in their systems. The rep who cancelled my order couldn't see that the back order was released, and my order was probably being processed for shipping when I called on 12/17. Can you believe that? She proceeded to tell me that they tried to cancel the shipping, but they couldn't, so the order was shipped on 12/20. I have never received shipping confirmation, and I asked this inept agent, "What if that $29.95 was the last dollar I had in my account!?" Thankfully, it's not, but Wen had no right to ship an order that I cancelled on the 17th on the 20th!
I also requested that the auto ship be cancelled as that apparently did not happen the last time I called either! Is this NOT a multi-million dollar corporation? Why can't an agent see when a product is on back order? If the product is later found not readily available, why wouldn't an email be sent to inform a customer that the order will be processed when the product becomes available? The reps are very uninformed and incompetent, and I pray that my auto ship was cancelled appropriately! I've read other reviews that have me scared that that might not be the case!
Beware of Guthy-Renker's WENhaircare website: A cautionary tale
I've been using WENhaircare for a while now, and I gotta say, it's amazing! My hair has never looked better. But let me tell you, if you're thinking about signing up for WENhaircare, do yourself a favor and go through Chaz Dean's salon website. Don't even bother with Guthy-Renker and their website, www.WENhaircare.com. Trust me, you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.
I made the mistake of signing up through Guthy-Renker back in June of 2009. They charged me almost $60 for one installment, which was a bit steep, but I figured it was worth it for such a great product. But then I found out that Chaz Dean's studio sells it too, and for a better price. So in July, I cancelled my account with Guthy-Renker after being charged almost $30 for another installment. That should have been the end of it, right? Wrong.
In August, I was charged another $30. In September, I was charged $45.97 and received another "club" shipment. I contacted Guthy-Renker again, and they told me it was taken care of and that I should keep the last shipment as a courtesy for my trouble. So I cancelled my account with them again. But then in October and November, they charged me monthly fees of $30 for the "club" I supposedly belonged to. I was so frustrated that I posted a complaint, which finally triggered a call from Guthy-Renker corporate.
They promised me that they would take care of everything and even credited my last two months of "club" payments, which totaled $75.94. But then in December, on my birthday no less, they charged me $45.97 for the "club" again! And to this day, I still haven't received the money they owe me. It's not just $75.94 anymore, it's $121.91 in total. I called them on January 18th to speak with the woman who had called from corporate, but they said they didn't have any extensions for anyone at corporate. What a load of bull! They also said that no money would be credited until I sent back the December shipment that they had told me to keep for my trouble.
I'm done with Guthy-Renker. They clearly don't know how to handle their customers or their money. So if you want to try WENhaircare, go to Chaz Dean's website. Trust me, it's worth it.
WEN by Chaz Dean Cleansing Conditioner Review: Nightmare Allergic Reactions, Hair Loss, and Terrible Customer Service
I remember the first time I stumbled upon WEN by Chaz Dean cleansing conditioner in Sephora back in 2014. The idea of cleaning my hair without using a regular shampoo and harsh chemicals sounded like a dream come true. I was excited to try it out and see if it would make my hair feel smoother and more moisturized. And boy, did it deliver! The cream felt luxurious and my hair felt amazing after the first few washes.
However, after a few weeks of using WEN, I started to notice that my scalp would feel itchy and I saw flakes of skin in my hair. At first, I didn't think much of it and assumed it was just a minor irritation. But as time went on, the itchiness and pruritus became unbearable. I couldn't go more than two days without washing my hair with WEN's conditioner because my scalp would feel almost burning. It was a nightmare.
To make matters worse, I didn't realize that WEN's product was causing this allergic reaction and kept using it. In fact, I even signed up for their subscription and continued using it for about a year. It wasn't until my hair started falling out in huge balls after each wash that I realized something was seriously wrong. I panicked when I saw a completely bald spot on one side of my head. I was in my 30s and it was too early for me to start losing my hair. Nobody in my family has any problems with baldness or thinning hair, so it couldn't be genetic. I was leading a very healthy lifestyle, with good nutrition and exercise, so it couldn't be that either.
It wasn't until my husband pointed out that I was losing a lot of hair and asked if it could be my shampoo that I finally connected the dots. I noticed that the itchiness and the burning sensation started a couple of hours after washing with WEN's conditioner. I immediately stopped using it. Unfortunately, I let it go pretty far and am still suffering from thin hair. My bald patches (2 in total) are still there but are slowly getting better.
I emailed WEN and asked for a full refund of my money. A representative called me and asked lots of questions. Then, with an arrogant attitude, she proceeded to inform me that they are not going to pay. I was shocked and disappointed. WEN is playing a dirty game with their customers, are not willing to fix a flawed product, and ignore customers who obviously were injured by their products.
In conclusion, I would not recommend WEN by Chaz Dean cleansing conditioner to anyone. It may work for some people, but for me, it was a nightmare. The product caused severe allergic reactions, hair loss, and bald patches. WEN's customer service was also terrible, and they refused to refund my money even though their product caused me harm. Stay away from this product and save yourself the trouble.
Poor Customer Service Experience with WEN Hair Care: Unauthorized Charges and Difficulty Cancelling Account
I just got my hands on the WEN Hair Care Deluxe Replenishing Kit from wen.com. I only ordered one installment, which cost me $34.95, and the payment was deducted from my checking account. When I received the product, I found out that I would automatically be charged and receive more supply. I wasn't happy with this, so I called to cancel my account. The representative I spoke to tried to convince me to stay or change my frequency of receiving the supply, but I was firm in my decision to close the account. She assured me that she had done just that.
However, I recently received a statement stating that I owed over $98 for a new supply of WEN haircare. This was my second attempt at canceling the account, and I had only agreed to receive and pay for one supply of product. I called the customer service line on the statement and spoke to a representative. I made it clear that I would not be paying anything. I hadn't even used the product I received yet. The representative understood and canceled my account. She asked if I had received any other shipments of WEN products, and I told her no. She said okay and confirmed that my account had been canceled.
But today, I received a confirmation email for canceling my account, and it stated that I might have an account balance and receive a bill. I called the customer service number listed in the email, and the representative told me that they had sent out a shipment of product, and I still owed on that. I told her that I had not received any more product than the one I initially ordered and that I would not be paying for anything I did not authorize. I had already tried to close my account twice, and I wasn't going to pay any additional shipping charges or for something after requesting my account be closed.
I am not happy with the level of customer service I have received from Guthy-Renker's customer service department regarding WEN hair care products. If I receive any more products, billings, or charges, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I have requested, more than once, that my account be closed and that no products be shipped to me. I hope they will take my request seriously and not send me any more products or bills.
Impressed with WEN Hair Care - Read the Fine Print!
I gotta say, I was pretty skeptical about WEN (wen.com) after reading some reviews. But after trying it out for myself, I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling soft and silky, and the styling cream gave me the perfect amount of hold without feeling greasy or heavy.
Now, I did see some complaints about being signed up for a club without realizing it. And let me tell you, I totally get it. I hate when companies do that sneaky stuff. But I did some research and found out that if you receive merchandise that you didn't order, you have a legal right to keep it as a free gift. So if you do end up getting signed up for a club without realizing it, you don't have to pay for anything you didn't explicitly order.
That being said, it's always a good idea to read the fine print before making a purchase. And if you do end up with unordered merchandise, it's a good idea to write a letter to the company stating that you didn't order the item and that you have a legal right to keep it for free. This can help clear up any misunderstandings and prevent the company from sending you bills or dunning notices.
Overall, I would definitely recommend giving WEN a try. Just be sure to read the fine print and keep an eye out for any sneaky club sign-ups. And if you do run into any issues, there are resources available to help you out.
WEN Hair System Review: Great Product, Terrible Business Practices
So, let me tell you about my experience with WEN hair system. I have been using this product for over a year now and I must say, I am in love with it! Not only do I use it on my hair, but my entire family uses it too, including my husband and two girls. However, I have to admit that I won't be purchasing it directly from WEN anymore.
Let me explain why:
Firstly, it is important to use the system properly. If you don't follow the recommended instructions, your hair may fall out or begin to thin.
Secondly, it is crucial to only use the cleansing conditioner and sixteen conditioner together once a week, or else your hair will become over-conditioned.
Thirdly, using the cleansing conditioner daily can break your hair and make it thin or fall out from over-conditioning.
Fourthly, if you use the cleansing conditioner, only use one of the other products like the texture balm or anti-frizz. Don't use both! If you do, your hair may become hard, frizzy, or even break and fall out.
Fifthly, don't mix and match WEN with other products, as the end result will be disastrous.
Lastly, use half the recommended amount of product.
Now, let's talk about WEN's pricing and business practices. Although I believe that WEN is an awesome product when used correctly, I also think that the company recommends using the product in a way that is dangerous and will damage your hair, just so they can make more money. If you use the product the way that the company recommends, you will run out of product within three months, if not sooner. Then, WEN will automatically mail you a new shipment. Sounds great, right? Wrong.
Here's the catch:
WEN tells you that you will pay $29.99 for the first kit with a membership, and then you receive a travel kit plus two bottles of cleansing conditioner and one bottle of the sixteen sampler. Awesome for the price, right? They tell you that when you receive your second shipment, you will receive three bottles of cleansing conditioner, one bottle of sixteen conditioner, and one container of anti-frizz (or whatever product you choose) all for the low membership price of $39.99. Wrong! That is not true. Yes, you will receive those products, but no, they will not be for the low price of $39.99.
Here's how WEN gets you:
Firstly, you will get a shipment with the items you choose and a charge of $39.99, which they tell you includes the shipping charge. However, when you look at the website or the pamphlet they send you, it specifically says that any purchase over $100 is free. So, you think you just paid $39.99 and that is why you had to pay for shipping, but that isn't true. 28 days after you get charged $39.99 for the shipment, WEN will charge you another $29.99. Then, 28 days from that charge, you will receive another charge for $29.99, and by then, it will have been three months, so it will be time for another shipment. Within a couple of weeks, you will see another charge for $39.99, and the process will begin again. So, you say to yourself, where is the membership deal? There isn't one. You're paying $99.97 every three months for WEN products that you don't need. In addition to the fact that in at least one month, you will pay twice.
If you use the products the way they recommend, your hair will be damaged, thin, and break and fall out. If you try to use the products with other products, your hair gets worse. I think WEN intentionally did this to make sure you stick with their line. Not to mention that even if you cancel your order, you will still get charged unless you cancel the order before the item is shipped. If not, then you are responsible for shipping charges, and they will continue to charge you every month unless you call and cancel and make sure they refund the money before it's charged. Sounds confusing, right? But in their system, it already has it set up to autocharge, so they must go in and refund those auto charges in their system. If you don't receive an email confirming the cancellation, then your membership is not canceled, and you have no proof that you canceled it. Again, you will be responsible for upcoming charges.
So, in short, yes, WEN is a great hair product if used wisely and not the way the company recommends. However, unless you are willing to deal with the $99.97 charge over a three-month period and being charged on top of the charge $39.99 because the scheduled membership mail-out overlaps the monthly charge, and the possibility that your hair will be damaged if you don't find a good regimen, and it may take up to an additional three months to actually cancel your membership, then I wouldn't recommend purchasing this product from WEN. Now, if the product offer is as a one-time fee charge through another company or website, then I say go for it. You will just have to play around with the product to figure out what's best for your hair.

WEN Review: Good Products, Poor Billing System and Customer Service
I've been using WEN for a few months now, and I have to say, I'm not too impressed with their billing system. It's been pretty erratic, and I've had a few issues with my orders being stolen from the post office. However, I will say that the customer service representatives I've spoken to have been pretty helpful, for the most part.
The first time I had an issue with my order being stolen, I called WEN and spoke to a very nice lady who helped me get my order resent. Unfortunately, the same thing happened the next month, and when I called back, I got a different woman who was not nearly as helpful. She couldn't explain why my payments were so erratic, and when I asked her to clarify, she just got angry and repeated the same thing over and over again.
To make matters worse, she tried to blame me for the fact that my orders were being stolen from the post office. I mean, really? How is that my fault? I pay for the product, and it's their responsibility to make sure it gets to me. She also couldn't explain why I was being charged $60 when I only pay $30 a month.
At this point, I'm pretty frustrated with WEN, and I'm considering canceling my subscription. I've heard that Chaz Dean has his own website where you can buy the shampoo, so I might try that instead. And if WEN gives me any trouble about canceling, I'll just cut off my prepaid card and get a new one. It's only $3, so it's not a big deal.
Overall, I think WEN has some good products, but their billing system and customer service could use some work. If they can get those things sorted out, I might consider giving them another chance in the future. But for now, I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
WEN Hair Care Review: Disappointing Results, Unmanageable Hair, and Expensive Price Tag
I've been using WEN for about 8 months now and I have to say, it's not living up to the hype. I'm pretty disappointed in myself for continuing to use it, hoping for a different outcome each time. But alas, I've finally given up.
The biggest issue I have with this product is that it leaves my hair feeling unmanageable and greasy. By the end of the day, my hair and scalp feel dirty and it seems like it attracts dirt. The almond mint scent is also not my favorite - it has a medicinal smell to it. And even though they offer other scents, you're only shipped the almond mint. Yuk!
The expense of this product is also a huge downside. When you think about it, you can buy the most expensive hair salon products for less. It doesn't really save you money if you're not happy with it.
I stopped using WEN a year ago and was compelled to write this review after watching the TV ad with the Miss America contestants. Your hair will not look like anything on those commercials. I have long colored hair that is in very good condition. I take care of it and do not use dryers. I look for good products and will spend money to keep it in good condition.
From Seattle, WA, I hope this review helps you make a good decision. Don't waste your money on WEN.
WEN Hair Care Review: Thick, Unlatherable Shampoo Leaves Hair Feeling Gross and Coated
I have to say, I was really disappointed with the product from WEN. I mean, I was really excited to try something new and give my hair a little TLC, especially during the holiday season. But boy, was I wrong. I saw their infomercial and thought, "Hey, why not?" and ordered a 3-month supply. The shipping was pretty fast, I'll give them that. But the product itself was just terrible.
First of all, the shampoo was so thick and didn't lather at all. I mean, I've used a lot of shampoos in my life, but I've never had one that was so thick and hard to work with. And forget about trying to get any kind of lather going. It just didn't happen. I read some other reviews where people said their hair was falling out, and while I haven't experienced that myself, I can totally see how it could happen. If you're putting something that thick and heavy on your hair, it's bound to cause some damage.
And even after I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed, my hair still felt gross. Like there was some kind of weird layer of wax or something on it. It definitely didn't make my hair soft or silky like they promised. It just felt ucky. And the worst part is that even after I washed it out, my hair still felt weird for days. Like it was coated in something.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. And since I ordered such a big supply, I'm kind of stuck with it. I don't even know if I want to bother trying to return it for a refund, especially after reading all these other reviews. It's just not worth the hassle.
I don't know how WEN is still in business, to be honest. I guess they must have some loyal customers out there, but I can't imagine anyone being happy with this product. Save your money and stick with something you know works.

Mixed Review: Good Product, Poor Customer Service and Website Features
The WEN website is pretty basic and doesn't offer much in terms of functionality. They seem to prefer that you call and speak with one of their sales reps instead. I have to say, though, that the product itself is really quite nice. I've been using it for a while now and I'm really happy with it.
That being said, I did have a bit of a problem with my order. Long story short, I ended up with seven bottles in just four months. When I tried to get a refund, I was given some pretty poor excuses and it was just a really stressful situation. I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle to keep dealing with them.
One thing that really bothered me was that there was no way to cancel my order on their website. It just seemed like their features were really limited. I tried calling their customer service line, but apparently it was down for the holidays. I found that a bit odd, since it was well after any major holiday that I knew of. I wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that I had specified "cancel" as the topic of my call.
I tried calling back a few times, but each time I got a different automated directory and sometimes just silence. It all seemed really fishy to me, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and cancel the transactions through my bank. I just didn't want to do business with them anymore.
Overall, I think the product is good, but the customer service and website features could definitely use some improvement. I wouldn't recommend doing business with them unless you're willing to deal with some potential headaches.
WEN Hair Care Review: A Complete Scam - Don't Waste Your Money!
WEN is a complete scam, I'm telling you. The 60-day money back guarantee is a joke, they don't even honor it. They do everything possible to keep your money. I placed 2 orders with them within 10 days apart to try and get the look and feel I was looking for. The products DO NOT work on African American hair, I'm telling you. I returned the products in less than 30 days, but they only credited me $39.95 for the smaller order but not the $83+ I spent on the second order. No explanation at all, can you believe that? So I called to find out what's going on and they told me that I have to return the orders separately, even though it's not written any place. How stupid is that? They are going to the same address, why do I have to return them separately?
So now that they have the products (all of them), I have to wait for them to send me a form to complete (an affidavit) to send back and request my money back. I mean, seriously? They have the products and see that they were returned. Why must I now certify that they were returned? This is ridiculous, I'm telling you. I am so glad I returned this mess and will utilize every chance I get to discourage others from ordering from WEN.
Let me tell you, save your money and buy local, less expensive products that are much better for your hair. Don't waste your time and money on WEN, they are just a bunch of scammers. I'm telling you, they don't care about their customers, they only care about making money. Don't fall for their lies and false promises, they are not worth it. Trust me, I've been there and done that.
Disappointing Results from Wen.com Hair Products: A Review
Wen.com is a product that I was really excited to try out. I mean, who wouldn't want to feel like they're using the most luxurious product ever? Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended for me. After using it, my hair felt pretty normal and the frizz didn't change at all. My friends even told me that my hair looked dull, which was a bummer. I even had to get it cut to get rid of the dead ends, but it still looked like I had just used regular shampoo and conditioner. To make matters worse, I found that my hair got dirtier and greasier much quicker than before.
Now, I know some people might think that I didn't follow the instructions properly, but that's not the case. The first time I used it, I did two washes and applied the Intensive Treatment. It took me a whopping 45 minutes to make sure I didn't miss a single strand of my hair! But even with all that effort, I was still disappointed with the results.
I was really hesitant to try this product in the first place, especially after seeing the pre-Wen models who looked like they had been dragged through a bush backwards. Even Alysa Milano, who is a celebrity, hadn't bothered to run a brush through her hair or blow dry it properly. It all seemed like a sham to me. When a company has to exaggerate that much, it's definitely a red flag.
I live in the UK and I had to call Customer Services to cancel my subscription. Thankfully, it wasn't a problem at all. The representative I spoke to cancelled it right away and assured me that I wouldn't be billed any further. She also said that I would receive my refund once they received my empty bottles back. It all seemed pretty simple and straightforward.
After reading so many terrible reviews about Wen.com, I'm really dreading the next few months. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Watch this space!
WEN Hair Care: A Total Scam - My Terrible Experience
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with WEN. I ordered my stuff way back in 2014, and it was a mess from the start. They billed me pretty quick, but then my order got sent back to them because it was "undeliverable." I called customer service, but they couldn't find my order even though they'd already charged me. I had to call my bank to get the transaction number, and then finally they found me. The girl on the phone said my address was wrong, so she supposedly fixed it and said she was rushing my order. But a week later, I still hadn't gotten anything, so I called again. This time, they couldn't find my account at all. They found my name, but not my address. I told them to cancel the order, but they said I had to return the item first. How am I supposed to return something I never got? They said I had to fill out a paper saying I never got it, but they were about to send it to the wrong address AGAIN. I mean, come on. It's a total scam. I'm reporting them to the BBB, and I hope nobody else falls for this.
chaz dean cleanse & treat
My first purchase of the above mentioned products were in 12/2016 from QVC. It was a 5 set of his seasonal (gave most has gifts. I used it seem to work great on my hair so 9/2017 I purchased more from QVC 4pcs cleanse & treat auto delivery. Since using it as direct I have noticed more hair in my brush and on my clothing. I stop the auto delivery from QVC. Since I stopped using his products I have less hair in brush & on my clothes. I want a refund for all the money I spent.
wen by chaz dean seasonal cond. one gallon auto - spring blossom.
Order date: 06/06/2015. Wen by chaz dean seasonal cond. One gallon auto - spring blossom. A friend, who knew my story saw this website and thought I should share my testimony. I wanted to ask people to please stop defending wen by chaz dean. If this is not your experience, does not mean that it is not someone else. It cruel, what has happen to me and others. It's not something I would wish on any woman. Your hair is your glory! I'm still crying about this, every time I think about what happened, you can't get rid of that. Let me start by saying, I have never had hair loss. If anything my hair was very healthy and strong. There is no history of hair loss or balding in my family, I have two sisters with beautiful full heads of hair. I have been on thyroid medicine since 2009, it did not affect my hair, skin or nails. Those are my disclaimers.
I am an * woman and I had watched the info commercials and wanted to try this amazing hair product. I purchased wen from qvc for $202.44 a bargain, I was so excited. I had family members and friends buy me more for christmas presents that year. I had enough to last for a while. I used it in my daughters and my hair, but her hair texture starting changing and then she started losing hair.
I didn't really think it was the wen, not at first. I had switch completely over to using wen and nothing else. I had so much, and let's be honest, it was a huge investment on my part and on the part of my family and friends. My husband was using it and he didn't have any issues and I noticed that my hair was dry, brittle and the texture was different, but the loss was gradual - at first. I could see underneath. I was getting bald spots. I was losing my hair and I didn't understand why. My texture was changing, but I thought that was part of the process. Honestly, I wasn't aware of any issues and I was still seeing wen on qvc and the beautiful results and wondering why my hair didn't look like their hair. I thought maybe I need to buy the other products as well, get everything.
I had some hair loss, it was misleading - how often do you look at the back of your head underneath hair part and search for balded areas. Some hair loss, until it wasn't. I was washing my hair, preparing for a wedding and I felt something all over me and I opened my eyes to see my hair everywhere. I screamed. I didn't know, what had happened and I didn't care, my hair was everywhere. I jumped out of the shower and touched my hair and it was in my hands. It was coming out everywhere. I grabbed a comb and more hair. Devastating, emotional distress, I didn't understand what happened. I had done the same thing, I had done a hundred of times. But my hair was falling out by the handful.
I'm on my way to a wedding. I was that girl, that people loved to touched my hair, ask what products I used, make comments. My hair has always been one of my best qualities. It sounds awful but as women, we care for hair and it's not an afterthought. I have always been very careful with products, shampoos, conditioners, oils, any and all styling products I use. I watched this product for a long time and I really thought about, looked at videos and in the end trusted qvc.
My hair was all over my body, tub, shower curtain and I was holding it in my hands, combing it out as gentle as possible, trying not lose any more hair but it was too late. I stopped using wen that day, I went back to pantene and olive oil treatments and leave-in conditioners and nothing else. At first, I still had enough hair, most people couldn't tell. I was able to hide the loss. But even though, I had stopped using wen my hair was still brittle and dry, and every time I combed my hair there was a lot of hair loss. After a while, I just wanted my hair to grow back enough length for me to cut off the strands that were left and start over with the new growth. I had a comb-over hair style for 5 months. Then, just as emotional and with much distress, I had my daughter cut off the dead lifeless hair. I trusted qvc. I didn't think that a product on their network, and continues to be on their network would cause so much pain.
I have been hiding my hair loss from the world. I was never one to wear hats, I own ten hats now. I went to church in a hat, to meetings in hats, everywhere in hats. I didn't want people to see. I didn't let my husband see my hair, he would try and would stop him. He would say, isn't there something you could do, or what are you going to do about your hair. That only made it worse. I didn't want the questions, I didn't want to deal with it. My daughter, who just turned 18 at the time became my support and my cheerleader.
After I lost my hair, I still saw the same products being sold on qvc, that to me is horrible. People trust and believe that those products will do no harm and not to warn people or remove them from products sold, makes me cry all over. It's not enough to say, sorry! There are times when words simply don't cover the distress you experienced.
Allergic reaction
Terrible product I would never recommend to anyone! I can't understand why so many good reviews if this WenHaircare is absolutely terrible. I bought a WenHaircare conditioner and after only first use I felt something strange. My skin was so itchy and became super oily. Absolutely not what I expected from this product.
After the second use it became even worse so I had to visit my dermatologist and after I explained everything he told me not to use the product. My dermatologist is a highly qualified specialist and he said that as a doctor he would never recommend WenHaircare.
According to the reviews I wasn't the only one who had an allergic reaction to WenHaircare.
I am surprised that Wen hair products are still on the market.
I used the products in 2010. My hair came out in clumps to the point that I thought I was physically ill. My hair thinned out tremendously. I never found out what the final determination of the product was, and I was not involved in the class action lawsuit. I would never ever endorse this product.
Wen cleansing conditioer
I have been using wen for about a year regular, but in the last 6 month I notice considerable hair loss first it was just alittle, I thought it was just getting older and you loose hair. But I have lost most of my natural wave and my hair just keeps breaking off, If I run my hands through my hair I have hair on my fingers, at least 3-4 strand each time...

Started using about the end of 2014 to the middle of 2015 after a few months I noticed a rash around my face and sores in my head . My hair dresser ask me is your hair coming out? So I tried a new shampoo she had in her shop. My rash went away and so did the sores. I still didn't put two and two together. Went back to wen again and sure enough it started happening again and that's when I knew that it was the wen products. I always had very thick hair now my hair is not nearly as thick as it was . I am sorry that I ever tried Wen. I won't make that mistake again and will tell anyone not to purchase it's not worth the gamble.
Almond cream and cleanser
My husband bought this product back in January it came with a kit and in August realized he was losing lots of hair more then normal. He asked me if I noticed and I said no just so he wouldn't feel bad but now it's really noticeable and it's all because of this wen product.Im sharing this because I don't want any one using this product it's terrible and I will continue to tell people that this product ruins hair. I just threw out all the product.
Wen Shampoo and spritz
My sister purchased Wen shampoo and hair care kit. There was a spritz and anti-frizz styling cream. Oh, and the shampoo. I started using it about 5 months ago. The last month and a half I have noticed a huge increase in hair loss. In the shower I lose a huge handful. Now I have several areas that are very thin and a small bald spot that is slowly growing on...

I started using Wen and within 1 week my hair started coming out. I have permanent bald spots. I have been wearing a baseball hat for over 3 months.I was not aware of all the other complaints. I need to know what attorneys are handling the class action suit because I look like I'm going through cancer treatments because of this garbage shampoo.
Wen condition cleaner
I purchased this product and gave it to my daughters and grandchildren to use. I have asked them to stop using the product and I have stopped. The main reason I ordered so much for my family, is the claim that it doesn't fade the color. We all paid the price of hair loss. Of course we have bottles of the products left over now . I want a full refund of all of the products I have purchased over the past two years. One of my daughters lost clumps of hair, I found my hairbrush full after just a few strokes. My sister started seeing her scalp on top. This is my first post, I will try to find numbers and dates.
Hair Loss! I am losing my hair.
I have been using Wen Hair Products for about 8 months. I have always had very thick hair. I had noticed I was losing a considerable amount of Hair on my brushes and combs. I thought this was one of the better companies. I talked with my doctor and he said he could find nothing wrong with my lab work.. It never occurred that something advertised so heavily was damaging my hair. I went to see a new stylist as I have tried several wondering what was wrong. This past week. The gentleman who cut my hair said are you using Wen hair products I said yes and only Wen he told me he had several people who have not stopped due to hair loss. I cannot believe this as I have tried many different salons saw my doctor and finally found this out..

if people would watch chaz dean .s videos very close up... the would have stayed away from his products in the first place ..first of all chez dean took all the hair in one hand.. put some of that junk in the other and put it on the hair . then he stroked the hair up and down, never never separeted the hair to wash it . never never came even close to the scalp to wash the scalp . after he was done stroking the hair with all that junk in the middle of the hair . by never separeting the hair to wash each hair . he let the water run over the stroked hair, still never separeting the hair . or again never coming close to the scalp to to wash the scalp . that should hasve been enough to tell the people stay away from that crook and his fake and dangerous products, but to many people fell for that fake speach and video . what realy showed how fake he and his productsd are . anyone should know . you can not clean your hair with a conditioner . he roped the costumer in . the costumer is loosing their hair . chaz dean laughs behind their backs he found more victims . .. i hope everyone has learned a lesson the hard way . stay away from chez dean he is a fake and a crook . and so are his fake and phony and dangerous products
bad service
TO WEN< I ordered your set a year ago in the lavender scent. You sent me vanilla. I hate the smell of vanilla and called you. Instead of sending the lavender scent set, you send ONE bottle. I sent the vanilla set back and never got the complete set of lavender that I ordered and paid for. Then you send another set 6 weeks later and charge me 60.00. I still didn't get the 1st set I paid for. I called you and told you to cancel the subscription. 2 months later you send another set and charge me for that as well, then all the sudden you send vitamins that I NEVER ordered and bill me for those as well. How dare you to send me items I didn't order. (wrong scent PLUS Vitamins) and expect me to pay for them. I NEVER wanted your vitamins, I NEVER accepted your offer for them, you send them to me, bill me and after 2 phone calls to you still expect me to pay for them, then have the GULL to send my name to a collection agency? I will NEVER pay for something I NEVER ordered. You have yet to send me the correct lavender set I did pay for. I will never recommend your product to anyone. I am sending a complaint to BBB and every complaint site I find. What you have done to me is VERY wrong. If you would have gotten the order RIGHT, I would probably still be a customer, but screw me over and I will be your worst enemy. I fully intend to let the thousands of people I know how you screw people over. In fact what you did to me will be put on my web site as well for everyone to see.
trying to return the wen kit, i dont like it and i cant get any help from wen. they said they cant find my account .since i canceled all furture orders. and i dont know how to return the products. i spoke to someone on line and they told me to call the 1800- number. i did they cant find my account.
Dirty business practices
I originally signed up and asked to NOT be placed on a membership and NOT have my account with auto withdrawal. I would send a check. This worked and they wanted me to have auto shipments, i said NO. this worked for about 2 years. But i had to stay on them. I called each time a shipment arrived if i did not order it. Most of the time since i asked for every 6 months to be delivered i was good.
One day a shipment arrived that i DID NOT order. I told the postal worker to just return it that i did not order it. I never touched the box. so next thing i know i get a bill. I called them and explained it was returned. they accepted this statement no problem... then i get more statements saying its past due, and a letter. I called again and explained they accepted it and said that they would take care of it. I get another letter and bill. I call again and they said that they never received it and it was my responsibility to get the tracking information. I argued my point since it is the law that if anyone does a return to sender the SENDER is responsible for it NOT the receiver. They then threatened me with a "Legal Form" that MUST be filled out and signed in order for them to remove the fee. I complied and returned the form (i made a copy of it). I receive another bill and letter saying to pay. I called again and demanded that they remove this charge. They tried to say that i was on a membership, emphatically explained that that was not true and i specifically requested NOT to be on a membership. after a long hold they got back to me and said the matter has been taken care of.
2 months later i received a letter saying i had a 'credit' UGH... just dropped it.
I LOVE the product! it works great for my fuzzy curly hair.
WEN you don't need to stoop to these dirty business practices to TRICK us to buy the product... The product will stand on its own. Just sell it with integrity.
Wen is sure a total SCAM! We returned their junk products (Make you loose hair!) but their bills keeps on coming, and amount increasing! When you call them they are nice and promise do what you want, but actually do nothing. They want waste your time. This is their marketing trick!
We are teaming up with lawyers to sue them. Seems that's the only solution. Please also file to BBB, Consumer Affair Comity, ...
