My credit card and debit card were stolen on November 8th
My credit card and debit card were stolen on November 8th. Westerra did not investigate the matter and instead denied my fraud investigation and did not refund any of the money. They did not contact me to obtain any information. Over $2000 was used in a matter of 1.5 hours without the bank shutting down my card activity.

I have had nothing but a great experience with Westerra (referred my mother & she switched from her bank of 18 years to come to Westerra) until a few months ago. I went in to discuss getting a personal loan to pay off a credit card and was told that I would be able to get around a 2% interest rate. Long story short, the rep I worked with ran my credit just to tell me I wouldn't be eligible for the 2% interest rate unless I opened another CC with them vs getting a loan - I WOULD NOT have had my CREDIT RAN if I knew this as it didn't make sense with my situation to open a new CC. Next, the same rep told me I was eligible for a line of credit in case my checking account went negative- didn't mention the 21% interest rate at any point and did not properly set up either loan that I went through with - which has cost me time. I called Westerra and requested a manager from either the call center or this location to call me to discuss these issues and discuss why the rep was NOT trained. If the employees of Westerra Credit Union aren't trained properly - how am I supposed to feel my money is safe and secure with your institution? I have had no returned phone call for 3 months. I have been misled to believe that I would have a 2% interest rate which was a lie and that lie has caused a negative effect to my credit and ultimately is costing me more money in interest then what was expected.

Have car loan, been trying since got the the to be able to pay online. Not just for convenience but because Westerra charges a $20 fee for processing the payment over the phone. I'm up to about a dozen agents who continually "promise" to get the problem fixed. Some even said they would follow up with me to make sure everything was corrected. No one ever has. I've spend hundreds of dollars in fees all be cause Westerra can't get my account set up so I can pay online.

I received another advertisement with my name and information being disclosed to the public and mail carriers. I have called on numerous times about Westerra Employee Anthony H. He refused to call me several times during my application process and only wanted to communicate via email. Had I been made aware that this company sells consumer information, I would have opt out. Since May I have constantly called this company with no resolution and still to this day is constant receiving advertising marketing mail.

Three weeks ago Westerra sent a mandatory update for their mobile app. I downloaded the update and immediately was locked out of the app which worked fine prior to the update. Westerra is pointing a finger at the vendor that updated the app and now my phone is "misbehaving" as well. Westerra refuses to accept responsibility and I have totally lost access to on-line banking which now necessitates having to go to the bank itself. They indicated it is MY fault as my phone isn't the newest model. I can not afford a new phone. This is SO frustrating and inconvenient.

Two Roth CDs came due in June
Two Roth CDs came due in June . I reinvested each in two new CDs at the same branch of Westerra. The transaction was handled throu the drive-up at ***. I had prepared a typewritten letter that was sent over the pneumatic tube to the office. The receipt came back as reinvested. However, when checking my end of quarter statement, the new CDs were no longer Roth, but ordinary investments. The first agent at Westerra I talked to said that they should have continued as a Roth and sent my inquiry to a supervisor. The supervisor agreed and sent to inquiry to Operations to correct. Operations refused saying that my letter said reinvest and did not specify reinvestment in a Roth. They said I would need to terminate the CDs, pay a termination penalty, and then reinvest as a Roth. This is their error for not telling me they were withdrawing my accounts from Roth status and changing them over to a normal account.

Hello, we paid our car off on 1/9 and Westerra CU kept deducting payments even after payoff. We happened to notice and had to intervene to get them to stop deducting payments. Since then, we have been trying to get back the extra payment of $500 that they inadvertently deducted in February. We have called multiple times, on March 5, May 10, and May 13, and each time, we are on the phone for 30 or more minutes, and each time, there is a different story about how to get our funds back. Most recently, someone named TJ told me we would need to complete an affidavit and have it notarized to get our funds back, even though he acknowledged that he could see the check was never cashed. He said he'd send an email with the form, and we never received the email, never received a call back. I called again on 5/13 and the story was, the manager Kenna W would send an email with a link to complete forms, and a further delay of 90 days. We want our $500 back!
