Whirlpool Avoid UPDATE!
Bought a Whirlpool dishwasher from Costco.
The control panel failed. Tech was out on 5/10. Whirlpool can not locate the part some eight weeks later. They are unwilling to fix/replace the machine! I have called several times only to hear they have a process they are following ?!
Avoid purchasing a Whirlpool product.
UPDATE
After a two-month wait for the part, it was installed only to fail again after one load!
Called Whirlpool and Costco who have set me up for another appointment. So frustrating.
Technician came. Needs parts that are on backorder as well.
Looks like another eight weeks.

Hi there,
I have purchased a Water Softener WHES442 -22063 from Lowe's Cambridge in Oct. 2022. it is now July 2023 and half of the tank if filled with water. I have contacted the customer service on 2 occasions (July 5/6), and got completely dismissed. I was told on both occasions that is my duty to read the "journal" and troubleshoot myself, witch, I'm not comfortable with. I regret making this purchase. I have kept the purchase receipt and also registered the product. Its it completely inadmissible that we are asked to troubleshoot products under 1 year warranty ourselves.
Desired outcome: Have the water softener fixed.

I ordered the dishwasher on May 28, 2023. The first delivery was scheduled for 6/19/23. The company that whirlpool uses never delivered the product, so it was rescheduled for 6/27/23. The product arrived as scheduled but the technician was unable to install the dishwasher to due a manufacturing defect, so the dishwasher was returned.
I contacted customer service and they apologized, but told me I had to wait again for another email. I am guessing to reschedule a replacement and new delivery date.
I also emailed Whirlpool and 3 days later still no email or response.
All I would like is an escalation order to receive the new dishwasher asap, as we have nothing at the moment. The technician could not reinstall the old unit.
If someone from management would contact me that would be wonderful. I am hopeful this can be resolved quickly and we don't have to wait another 2-3 weeks again!
Desired outcome: I would like an escaleted replacement order as soon as possible.

This washer is only 7 or 8 months old and has acted demonic since the first month of use. It makes horrible sounds, has an odd smell and after several attempts at repair now leaks all over my floor. It has stated to damage my wood cabinets. Whirlpool has sent out a tech 3 times to repair and will again send another tech to replace the last moving parts, the drum and motor.
This is ridiculous, it is not useable at all, it’s going to damage my home and all I get from whirlpool is oh we will send a tech. I want the unit I paid for replaced and done now. I have been dealing with this for the last 4 months with little or no positive outcome. How is sending a tech 4 or 5 times replacing parts cost effective for them, not to mention the vast amount of time I’ve spent on it. I wish I kept my old LG.
Desired outcome: Replace my washing machine now.
Water Cooler
I have been trying for weeks to reach out to repair service for water coolers at [protected] regarding the leak in the coil for the hot water. They emailed me and asked for serial number of which I provided.
I have left numerous messages but have not received a call back or further response.
I have also emailed the repair center for water coolers at [protected]@electroltemp.com (Electrotemp Tech) and still have not gotten any further with my issue.

Washer/dryer not working properly
I have been using Washer/Dryers for the last 27 years, I have had Hotpoint and Zanussi and decided to try Whirlpool. Unfortunately, my experience has not been a good one we bought our machine over a year ago and we have had several issues with it.

Bought the machine in Power City Coolock (I can provide receipt if required)
It is coming up with a F13 fault on my washer/dryer, it only happens when I am drying clothes, I have to unplug the machine before it will allow me to open the door, I have noticed the clothes are slightly wet it parts of them. It looks like the machine is letting water into the drum. I am able to wash the clothes fine it is only the dryer that is causing the problem.
We have had 3 call outs so far and they keep saying it working find but this fault is coming up all the time now. This is the first time for me to buy a Whirlpool washer/dryer and it is only slightly over a year old, I am shocked to find I am having issues the last 6 months.
We bought the machine on the 16/05/21
First call out on the 21/11/22, they replaced the hose
Second call out on the 05/12/22, no fault found
Third call out on the 22/03/23, no fault found
Rang on the 15/06/23, they suggested I but in a complaint and I was told if the engineer needs to come out again it will cost us €65.00 again, I am not to happy to hear this, to be honest I would like a replacement model as I feel after 1 year to have so many problems is crazy.

Double oven range
This range was purchased from Menards in October 2022. The upper oven began burning food on the bottom in January. Whirlpool sent a repairman in February. He said everything is working properly. He advised that after the oven reaches it's preset temperature I wait 20 to 30 minutes before I put the food in.
Even though I knew it was silly I did as instructed, and of course, the food burned on the bottom. I called Whirlpool and they sent him again. This time he called the Whirpool tech who said it was my fault because I didn't use the correct baking pans and sometimes I lined my pans with foil. These are common, ordinary baking pans you buy at Wal-Mart and any other retailer. Then they sent a different repairman who said he would put in a new part, but he never came back. I called Whirlpool again today and was told that because their tech said there is nothing wrong with the oven they won't do anything else. No replacement and no refund. My husband and I are retired and on a fixed income. This range cost over $1600.00 and that is a big purchase for us. How are these companies allowed to dump these faulty products on the public with no accountability?

not being able to return non=working refrigerator
4 mo old refrigerator repaired twice (known problem per repairman) waiting on part since MARCH. I'm 75 yrs old and my refrigerator is outside. Do you know how hard it is to prepare a meal with numerous trips outside to get and replace ingrediants? (I know you don't care) Part originally coming in JULY. Worked with someone to expedite...now JUNE 26th. I just want my $$$ back and rid of this refrigerator. When it's fixed...how long will that last? I just paid $305 today (May 22, 2023) to replace a cam. The plastic teeth were shorn. This washer was purchased at Lowe’s in December 2020 for $674 sale price. The cam is made of plastic, why? A cheap part and expensive repair. This washer got great reviews and that is why I purchased it. A washer should last a lot longer than that before needing a repair and an expensive one.
Gas Range - KSGG700EBS3
I purchased the range from Best Buy in February and it was delivered to my house by a third party installer on March 22, 2023. The very same day I noticed the door was shifted to the right about 1/4 inch. I called Whirlpool and provided them photos. They agreed it was warranty related and set up an inspection with Appliance Car of Arkansas. Appliance Care of Arkansas came out on March 31, 2023. The technician came out and agreed it was off center; however, he didn't know how to take the door off so I had to show him. He took the door apart but he then couldn't figure out how to put the door back together - I had to help him with it. He's a certified technician for Whirlpool and he doesn't know how to take a door off a range? He stated they will have to order the parts and will come back to install it. On April 20, 2023, I got an email from Appliance Care of Arkansas stating the parts did not come in and will have to reschedule to May 19, 2023. Today, the same technician with Appliance Care of Arkansas came to my house to make repairs to the door. After repairs he installed the door but it did not make a difference. The door is still shifted to the right about 1/4 inch. He agreed it was still off center so he called his supervisor and discussed with Whirlpool. Whirlpool stated that Appliance Care of Arkansas is stating it is within specifications now even though nothing changed... the door is still off center. The technician told me there is nothing more they can do since it's within specifications - the technician told me that Whirlpool is telling him this information; however, when I spoke with Whirlpool they are telling me the technician is who told them it's within specifications. Someone is lying. The technician told me to contact Whirlpool to discuss if I wanted to take it any further. So I called Whirlpool and they are telling me there is nothing they can do because it's within specifications after they reviewed the photos. The technician stood back about 6 feet from the range to take overview photos. He did not take close up photos of the range door. I had to beg Whirlpool to allow me to send in photos of the door - I did that and the gentleman I spoke with agreed that it was off center and he will set up another inspection. I requested they send out another company but he stated Appliance Care of Arkansas is the only company they work with. Go figure. A few hours later I get a call from Whirlpool stating that Appliance Care of Arkansas will not be coming back out to my house. The claim I originally reported was accepted as warranty and Whirlpool sent someone out to make repairs but repairs did not correct the issue. Now I'm being told that it's cosmetic and we are now past the 30 day warranty period of cosmetic issues and this is not going to be covered under warranty. First off, the claim I made fell within the 30 days and I also can't help that the parts were on backorder and it took two months for the parts to come in... then the actual warranty repair work did not fix the issue and now I'm being told it's not covered because it's not a warranty issue? How can it be a warranty issue the first time and now it not be a warranty issue? It doesn't make any sense to me.
Desired outcome: I just want the door lined up properly as it should be. I'm not asking for anything else... I just want the door to line up as it's off center.

Whirlpool is well aware that the bundle of wires found at the bottom left of freezer door becomes damaged when opening and closing the door and that in fact wires break apart causing the loss of function on freezer door features.
Whereas bundle used to be located on top or in a door with removable panel to replace wiring bundle Whirlpool REFUSES repair due to design flaw causing damage and inability to replace wiring bundle and recommends customers replace door at a cost of $800.00.
Desired outcome: Whirlpool Pay For Design Flaw Damage Repair Due To Design Flaw.
Gas range
I bought a Whirlpool gas range on 4/7/23 from Home Depot online. Got it 2 weeks later and installed it. It worked for 2 weeks. Then both the oven and broiler quit working. Called Whirlpool and they said they'd find a repair person to come and fix it. Never heard from them. Called back and they said they didn't have anyone and that I should call around to see if I can find a repair person to come out. I did so and when I called back they were closed for the weekend. Called Monday and the customer service rep refused to take the name and number of the repair company I had found. She said their "team" needed to call around to see if they could find someone. We had just been through that but she didn't care. She said they needed 3 more days. After 3 days, I hadn't heard from them so I called back. They said they found a repair person and it was the same company whose name I tried to give them 3 days earlier! But now the repair company can't send anyone for yet another 2 weeks! I asked them for a refund - they said "no". Asked Home Depot to take the appliance back but they said "no". If a brand new appliance breaks within the first 2 weeks of using it, I hold out no hope of it lasting even a year.
Desired outcome: Please refund.

I am a retired Hoover Company employee (owned by Whirlpool & pension with them, and I am so disgusted with the quality and shoddy production of washing machines. This review is on the website, and I wish that I had seen it before I purchased another Whirlpool washing machine: "When searching for a washing machine, you should be wary of Whirlpool. For decades, the Whirlpool name was synonymous with quality and customer satisfaction. Increasingly more reviews indicate that Whirlpool is now one of the washing machine brands to avoid. Consumer Reports reports a dismal 1-star Ownership Satisfaction Rating for Whirlpool as a brand."
I purchased this washer on 3/17/2023, and it was delivered on 3/20/2023. I had to replace my other washer that was only 5 years old due to a faulty control panel. Cheaper to buy another washer than have the old repaired ($450 repair cost). This new washer spins out of control when three (3) towels are washed. I cannot wash any significant number of towels without this unit spinning and moving all over. I had a service call on April 5, and the repairman (Guinco Washer Repair) told me that nothing was wrong and that this is the way these washers are made! He showed me how Whirlpool says to load the washer in "humps" (like at 69 years of age that I need to change the way I load a washing machine?)! This is totally unacceptable that I have to take towels to a laundromat because my new washer of only two (2) months can't handle it.
So upset and frustrated. I am making sure everyone I know does not buy a Whirlpool laundry unit. Can I return this non-working washing machine?

Whirlpool Dishwasher - Model WDT750SAKZ0
I bought this whirlpool dishwasher in January 2023. Immediately upon purchasing the dishwasher, I registered the product online. It has only worked for 3 weeks since we bought it. First the plastic connector connecting the dishwasher to the water supply arrived cracked. I called whirlpool to get a replacement part. After replacing the part, the pump on the dishwasher broke. I called Whirlpool and they somehow lost our registration and manually entered product purchase date for January 2022 leaving us with a nonworking dishwasher. They refused to cover service and have left us with a perpetually broken dishwasher. I will never but another whirlpool product again. Whirlpool delved in shady practices to avoid responsibility for a low-quality product.
Desired outcome: My dishwasher should be under warranty and a repair should be scheduled.
LED Lighting
The LED lighting in the refrigerators is subpar and continually goes out. This appears to be a widespread and ongoing issue yet denied by Whirlpool. I had the same issue in 2019 and it is happening again. I would think a recurring problem would be covered by some type of warranty. Instead I am told I can have 15% off a brand new appliance. Buy a new appliance because the light went out seems absurd but I guess that is what Whirlpool is now. Very disappointed.
Desired outcome: I would like the lighting issue to be repaired at no or minimal cost to me. The fee of the service call and part cost seems excessive for an ongoing persistent issue.

In good faith we purchased a new Whirlpool Refrigerator in February 2021. Within weeks it broke. After an extended wait you were very good to provide some money to get a small refrigerator.So, I pulled out the fridge and plugged it in and did not work.I called AIG on April 18 almost 2 years to the date of the last time it broke, Repairmen was at our house to fix our Whirlpool Refrigerator. Of course, he needed to order almost the same parts as 2 years ago. They were waiting for AIG to approve the order. I called AIG and they approved the order.
Last week I was tolded the part would be in on Monday May 1st and Dan-Marc would be in on Tuesday May 2nd I called today and was told I was wrong and the part I was told was in stock is now coming on Monday May 8th. The repair person will be here on May 9th.
Some history:
We are Seniors pushing our 80th birthday and Veterans, we need to keep one of our medications in the Refrigerator. We are using our good friends Refrigerator currently. I have ordered another small one to keep our Medication cold.
I would like Whirlpool to do something for us in good faith. The extended coverage on the Refrigerator is $199.30 and ours will be Expiring on 2/06/2024. I do not want to keep this product without some kind of insurance. Your help with this would be appreciated.

I requested service on my brand new microwave back at the beginning of April 2023 and Whirlpool put me in contact with an appliance store close to me, Appliance Solutions in St. George, UT. Almost a month later the part that is needed to fix my brand new microwave still isn't in. This is the second time I have bought a Whirlpool product that didnt work after purchase and have had to wait for parts. I would have assumed since it was brand new they would exchange it out but no almost a month later still waiting on a part for my brand new microwave! Never EVER buying Whirlpool products again!

In July of 2018, I purchased new appliances, including a Whirlpool washer, dryer, and the above-mentioned refrigerator. Less than 2 years later, the washing machine stopped working, so I contacted Whirlpool and was told it was no longer under warranty. I replaced it with another Whirlpool washing machine. A few months later, my above-referenced refrigerator stopped making ice and the freezer was not cold enough. Complete Appliance Service came out and addressed the issue and told me it was under warranty. I contacted Whirlpool, and after first being told it was not under warranty, I referred them to the website's sealed system failure and the additional 2 to 5-year warranty on the refrigerator. They put me on hold and came back to say that it was, in fact, under warranty. They sent their own technician, who temporarily fixed the refrigerator after returning. The ice maker never produced properly, and we have never been able to store ice cream in the freezer. Last September, it got worse, and I contacted my Home Warranty company. After months of them replacing other parts, it still does not work. I contacted Whirlpool again and was assured that it was still under warranty and that I would not be charged a service fee yet again. The assigned technician came on 4/19/23 and said it is not under warranty and wanted $129 payment. I called Whirlpool yet again and was told that yes, it was under warranty but that I would have to pay the service fee. I asked for someone else to contact me since I was told I would not have to pay the fee. I was then contacted by someone else who told me that nothing would be covered by the warranty. The Whirlpool website shows in multiple places that sealed system parts are covered with no reference to particular model or serial numbers. In one of the areas, it does refer to bottom freezer French doors as one of those covered. I am appalled and saddened by the poor quality of Whirlpool products and, quite honestly, the fact that they cannot be depended on to last even 5 years, considering the cost, is horrifying.
