I purchased a refrigerator freezer the freezer on the bottom with ice maker on the out side door in November of 2012 from Home Depot One week pass the warranty the ice maker stopped working so I called Whirlpool and after arguing with them they gave me the part but I had to pay for the service call. With in that same year 2013 another issue with the ice maker came up. Last year I had service out twice because my freeze was linking and because it was under the freeze we did not notice it right away and I ruin my floor. The freeze would have all ice in it. I called to Whirlpool and told them that I would never buy another product from them again never said I am sorry about all your trouble the best we can do is sell you another one. Really buy another one no thanks. I have a refrigerator in the garage that I bought 2006 and never had one problem with it. I called to order filters and they said what is my code that they mailed me and told them never received it so they would not even give me a break on the filter without it. I see people looking at Whirlpool in the store and want to tell don't buy it. Could have at lease give me a break on my filters.

Issues #[protected], #[protected] 2/7/17 with washer not spinning dry, water can be wrung from clothes. Second and sometimes third spin cycle is needed.
2/21/17 second visit from Dave’s Appliance no diagnostic tools or parts replacement recommended.
I have spent hours on the phone and waited for two in-home appointments.
Both the service technician and helpdesk admit this is not an isolated incident!

In Nov. 2013 we purchased a Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator floor model with a 3 year master protection agreement, at our local Sears. My wife was so happy because we were going to have all Whirlpool Gold appliances for the first time in 30+ yrs.
We sold our 5yr. old GE Profile to my brother. The Whirlpool was delivered the following evening. we had three 50 gallon coolers holding our refrigerator contents. after bring in the Whirlpool my wife noticed a dent on the front door Which was not their at the store as proved by our store inspection slip at time of sale). I called the store they said they would get it repaired or replaced. A service tech came out and said he had to order a new door and the system said it would take two months as it was on backorder. We said fine. Well three months later no door. The store manager got involved and a new refrigerator was delivered. Problem solved right. Well a year later I received a notice our refrigerator was about to go out of service and we needed to buy a repair contract. I forgot about the original 3 year Master protection plan and paid the bill for tow more years.
In 2016 our ice maker stopped working and we had an iceberg on the back wall inside of our refrigerator. Service came and replaced numerous seals and gaskets. It happened again and they replaced some more seals and gaskets.
On Jan. 24, 2017 we noticed our ice maker quit working again, The service tech couldn't find anything wrong to explain why the ice maker wasn't operating, so he ordered a new ice maker and front display panel.
After new ice maker installed we went out of town and came back to a warm refrigerator with a few frozen pieces of ice inside and all the contents of the refrigerator were spoiled. Called again for service and after a screaming match they were able to get a tech out next day verses the week they quoted when I called. Service tech couldn't find problem but was told to order new master circuit board. Which was couriered tom our house that same day. Board installed refrigerator started working immediately. Approx. 24 hours later the ice maker stopped working and contents were getting warm. Next day again called service and tech came next day. Now he was told to order new compressor, cooling lines, Condenser, evaporator. Which would take 10 days to deliver.
How are we suppose to live with out a refrigerator? Caslled Protection agreement services and was told that we hadn't had enough failures to get a replacement for a lemon. I explained the first time was a failure but we didn't know it was something bigger than the ice maker it was only a symptom of the bigger problem that continues, Nope no go!
I then said I shouldn't have been billed for a repair agreement and was told my 3yr. Master Protection replaced my original refrigerator. I explained that it was a delivery problem that would have been corrected w/o a Master protection agreement. Again so sorry that's the way it works.
We are done ever buying any major appliance from Sears. They stick it to you on everything. Best Buy Geek squad gave my brother a new washer on a 3 yr. old one, because they couldn't get parts in less than 7 days, no fighting just an apology for not being able to repair it in 7 days and inconvenience for their delay.
Sears is protection agreement wasted over $2, 000.00 not fixing our refrigerator and will spend another $1, 600.00 this next time. we only paid $1, 299.00, How stupid to keep wasting money on a obvious lemon.

Purchased a whirlpool cabrio washer, brand new, in May of 2015. It did not work correctly from the first wash. After 3 visits by a whirlpool "certified" mechanic saying that there was nothing wrong with it, because they machine's computer had no error codes, I used a third party repairman. He confirmed that the computer itself was what was bad in the machine. After much headache, whirlpool finally agreed to replace the computer in December 2015. By May 2016 the machine had gone bad again. The computer was replaced a second-time, and although whirlpool paid for the part, they refused to pay for the labor. By November 2016 the washer was not performing correctly. I believe the machine is nothing more then a lemon because it is otherwise a highly rated machine by others. However, do to my terrible experience with Whirlpool being unwilling to just replace the machine, I will no longer be interested in a Whirlpool product again. I am currently in the market to upgrade my kitchen appliances, but if Whirlpool won't replace my washer machine I will refuse to purchase any Whirlpool products again, and I will steer all friends and family away due to the lack of customer service under Whirlpool's so-called "warranty".

Got delivered on Tuesday 02/07/2017 Told to wait 24 hours before its gets cold. Wednesday 30 hours later still not working. Called them and they came on Saturday 02-11-2017. They unplugged it and said it needed a new compresser and they had to order it. After they unplugged it a terrible odor came off of the fridge and gave my mother and her sister a headache and they had to go to the hospital. Fire department confirmed the odor came from fridge and plugged it back in. After some time odor slowly went away. Today is Monday feb 13th and we are still without a working fridge that we paid for. Called managers and they were terrible with customer service and asked for district manager phone number Mike Evans and they gave me wrong number or he just don't answer and don't call you back. I will never buy from pc Richards in Paramus nj again. And I will not stop until they correct this problem

non-responsiveness on warranty claim for whirlpool washer
I contacted Whirlpool by phone on January 30, 2017 to request that a warranty claim made in October 2016 be paid. After being asked for my full name, address, etc. the Whirlpool representative refused to give her full name so I could document the conversation. Instead "Dawn" asked me to email copies of my purchase receipt and repair invoice to the address "[protected]@whirlpool.com. I emailed those two items plus my original email request for warranty service (dated October 8, 2016) to that address the same day. I have received no response from Whirlpool. We sent a follow-up email to that address on February 2, 2017 asking for an update, again with no response. We have followed all the rules, the washing machine failure occurred during the one year warranty period, and we have a complete, and reasonable, repair invoice to document the problem. Whirlpool's customer service needs immediate attention.

I don't even own a Whirlpool anything (never have), but for some reason I keep getting mail to warranty my refrigerator and stove. I have called THREE times to get my name off the list and I'm STILL receiving 2 pieces of junk mail a week. Going to call as soon as their 24 Toll Free service opens at 9 (?) to request again not to receive this mail. Fingers are crossed. I wonder who they bought my name from?

We bought this freezer in November 2015. On Christmas Eve of 2016, it completely died. Hard to believe that something that costs $800 cannot last longer than one year. We had to throw away over half of the items in it. Even though we did not buy an extended warranty, Whirlpool has told us that they will fix it free of charge. On 1/2/2017, we were told a repairman would be here on the 12th to fix it. When he did not show up, I called him to see where he was. He said that he has told them numerous times(starting in October) that he would not work for them anymore until they changed their reimbursement system. I have called Whirlpool two more times since and have only gotten empty promises about someone getting in touch with me to set up a repair. It's pretty easy to promise a free repair when they don't send anyone here to actually do it. My husband talked to Allie on 1/2/2017. I talked to Alfreeda(spelling?) on 1/12/2017 and to Kristen on 1/18/2017. I have no case number or anything else to go on. I would like my freezer fixed or replaced!

I purchased 2 products, a dishwasher (wdf520padm) september 5th does not work at all, 3 months old.
The stove I purchased in april (model wee730hods) the stainless is all chipping. I only use meyers products, I am so diasappointed. I don't want to stay home every other day to wait for repair people on new products. I want them replaced, not only will they not do that, they may not cover them.

We purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator in 2014. This past November of 2016 I noticed a rusty/yellowish tint in some of the cubes of ice. Upon further inspection I noticed rust developing around one of the screws in the bottom of the ice bucket. When I contacted the service folks at Whirlpool they told me that it is no longer under warranty so they could only sell me a new bucket. I informed them that this was a defective product and I should receive a new ice bucket at no charge. They apologized and told me they could not do that. If it was wear and tear I would understand, but when rust develops in a filtering system, ice bucket, there is a problem with the part. My expectation is I would receive a new ice bucket at no charge and Whirlpool would investigate this problem with their product.

We just bought a new house end of December 2016 in Boerne, TX. The home builder, Pulte Homes, has been very difficult to work with. They said our house would be done before we closed. It was not. They cut lots of corners. Did a terrible job with tape and texture on the drywall. Leaky faucets. Water not running. Landscape put in wrong. I have done nothing but fight with them to get things done. It has been incredibly stressful. Today we go to use the brand new dishwasher for the first time and it doesn't work. They were unwilling to do anything and told us we have to go through Whirlpool directly and we could be without a dishwasher for up to 6 weeks.
I would highly recommend not buying a house from them, ever.

I bought my Whirlpool over the range microwave in 2013. Model WMH31017AW It stopped working in 2015. The part and repair cost more than the microwave. Whirlpool offered to pay for the part but the labor would have been $150. They offered a new microwave for $160 plus shipping and installation, more than a new microwave costs.
My mom has a microwave that is 40 years old. I am a property manager and install microwaves and have never had one break.
If a Whirlpool microwave lasts only two years and they don't have a reasonable compensation, why would I buy another one?

extended warranty repair plan and customer service has been bismal and unethical.
Around the end of October 2016 my Whirlpool washer began making unusual noise during the washing and spin cycles and shortly after only a very limited amount of water would be dispensed before stalling and not continuing to function. Around the 28th of October I called the Whirlpool customer service phone number but found myself being on hold for 30 minutes before my first contact with a live person. I was then transferred to another person but either intentionally or unintentionally, my call was dropped and I started the waiting process all over again. After providing all my information and identifying the problem I was having, I was transferred to multiple other people until I was finally helped and they agreed to schedule a repair technician. The first technician sent was in the 1st week of November 2016. The technician partially repaired the machine but said that he needed to order and install some additional parts before it would be fully fixed. He said in the meantime it would work but it would make more noise than normal. He assured me that the company would contact me when the parts came in to set up a service visit. About 4 weeks passed without follow up so I called customer service again. I was on hold or passed on multiple times to different people, my call was dropped also during this process with the entire phone process lasting over 1 1/2 hours. I was told that the technician reported that the washing machine was infested with roaches and that the warranty would not cover further repairs. There was also no mention in his report of the need for additional parts and a follow up service call for installation of the missing parts. I could not believe what they were telling me and argued that this was not the case. I've never had a roach problem in my entire home, let alone an infestation in my washer! Also, I was present during the initial repair visit and the technician did not mention or state anything remotely related to encountering a roach infestation. I was besides myself with the unfounded accusation, especially after having to call them after a promise from the technician on the follow up repair. After explaining that the accusation was not possible and explaining what the technician had told me about the additional parts and promised follow up, customer service scheduled a second repair technician to access the problem. By the time the second technician came on December 12, 2016, we had been living and making alternate washing arrangements for at least one week because the washing machine had completely stopped functioning. The second technician accessed the machine and said that he could not fix it because there were too many parts that were needed. He stated that he would submit his report and see if Whirlpool would decide to order the parts for repairing it or would replace the entire appliance. Again I waited just over a week for a call from Whirlpool to no avail. I was becoming desperate since my wife is asthmatic and needs to constantly wash all her clothes and linens more often than normal. We are also senior citizens on a fixed income, age 80 and my wife is 77 so making alternate arrangements for washing is not an easy task for us. I made my third call to Whirlpool customer service around December 20th 2016 and after multiple waiting sessions due to transfers and call drops, I was told that no action had been taken from the prior repair technician report because the report stated that there was rust and they tried to tell me that this voided the extended warranty. After arguing the issue, explaining the history of the repair process, dismal customer service and threatening to make a formal complaint to consumer affairs, they agreed to send a third repair technician. The new technician arrived on December 22nd, 2016 and after accessing the washing machine stated what had already been established, that too many parts were needed and that he would order the parts and would return by the 29th or worst case the 30th of December with the needed parts to install and fix the washing machine. On December 28th I received a call letting me know that the repair technician was not going to be able to make it for the 30th of December and the appointment needed to be postponed until January 4, 2017. At this point my wife an I were so desperate that we considered going into debt to buy a new washer but despite the dire situation we were in we opted to wait since we were so close to resolving the problem. On January 3rd I received another call letting me know that they needed to postpone once again until the 21st of January because they have not received the parts needed. I could not believe that Whirlpool or any other company could conduct business in this manner and put people through the difficulties and anguish that they have put us through. Maybe this experience would not seem so unbearable if my wife was not asthmatic and we were younger and more easily able to adjust to the situation of living without a washing machine for what is now seems will be more than two months but I really can't fathom that anyone else, regardless of age or health can weather a similar situation. We are not asking for free service! We paid for the Whirlpool extended warranty. If nothing else, I hope this serves as a warning to anyone else considering the Whirlpool brand or extended warranties from Whirlpool. It has definitely taught us a traumatic lesson.
At this point I'm not very confident that I will have a fully repaired machine come January 21, 2017 but I don't feel I have much of a choice but to wait and see. I have however decided to contact Consumer Affairs and file a formal complaint. My hope is also that Whirlpool takes note of my unjust process in simply trying to keep them to their promise of the extended warranty and takes responsibility and actions to better their brand representation.

This is the 2nd time I have had to resort to researching complaint sites for my 2008 whirlpool refrigerator – model #ed5ltaxvoo. Last time it was due to all the shelves cracking. This time it is because the thermostat (Part # wp2315562) has been back ordered by whirlpool for months. I recognize this is a poorly made product so I can expect to replace most – or all – of the parts eventually, but I am flabbergasted that whirlpool doesn’t have appropriate supply chain policies in place so integral parts are scheduled to be manufactured before existing stocks are depleted.
I have called whirlpool customer service (And the parts departments) – and looked on line – and have been given no indication of when – if ever – the part will be in stock. Is the corporation’s objective to force owners of their products to replace them every few years? A refrigerator without a thermostat is nothing more than a lit box!
To say I am unhappy with this purchase is an understatement; however, with the typical expected life span of a side-by-side refrigerator 14 or more years I should be able to use this product for 6 more years. Needless to say, I no longer purchase any product manufactured by whirlpool or one of their subsidiaries.

Washer is a throw away after 2 years literally. Do not let looks fool you. This is one piece of junk and whirlpool is the worst company. Mother board went and was told not worth fixing after 26months of little use. Waiting for dryer to go next. Definitely do not buy this washer. Probably will be writing the same review on the dryer soon. Bought a speed queen that comes with 5 year warranty out of box. Looks old fashion and works excellent thus far. Stay away from all the pretend nice looking lights on the console. Plastic junk. Repair man said probably the worse machine we could of bought. Felt bad for us. Called whirlpool there recommendation is that we should of bought an extended warranty. No kidding whirlpool but I didn't know you sold junk when I bought it.

I purchased a whirlpool dishwasher in July 2015 and on Christmas Eve it quick working. I researched and was recommended this one at lowes and it didn't even last I am disappointed in whirlpool and will never buy this appliance again and will give my opinion to everyone who asks. I did not get extended warranty because I thought it would last longer than a year and a half and I really can not afford a repair man at this time since we are having financial difficulties. Also they said the stainless steel tub does not smell and it does all the time I am very disappointed in this whirlpool purchase as soon as it is in my budget I will be looking into LG products or Maytag.
