William Hill Payment

Hi

I am making this complain because in one of william hill shops I was gambling fir 3 days in row I lost about 10k, on the 20/5/23 in one on archway terminals in shop I won 400 pounds and the guy and manager said to me that I should not be in shoo because I was banned. I never was told that and never was given reason. I told them fine ill leave but pay me the ticket (winnings) and they refused to do so. I never was asked question when I was loosing. I rung costumer services and they told me to email this e to email that. I rung the costumer servise and they took some details but never got any answers. I will get my solicitors involved they never protected me, and I am aware that there license is hanging in balance.

All I was asking is my winings, when we lose we are not asked questions but when we win its hard to get the money. All I wanted is money. Now I have to waste my time to receive my winnings.

I have proof that I never was told, I have had bets in many other shops

Desired outcome: Give me my 400pound

William Hill William hill online account

I've just found out that someone has gained my details and has used them to make a account to bet with...this is NOT me and I don't accept this!

I've tried ringing customer service, and when you press four, then three to speak to online support, the phone INSTANTLY hangs up and doesn't allow you to continue...

So I rang the number thats linked to the resolver site, and they don't want anything to do with it, saying it's nothing to do with them. Basically this company is allowing people to fraudulently use other people's details to gamble and won't do anything to stop it.

Desired outcome: Close the account.

William Hill Account closure and withholding my funds

I opened an account with William Hill on 12th May 2020 and deposited USD 200 thereafter from my Skrill account.

I was able to place a couple of bets but my account was restricted until verification was done. I provided my national ID card as well as other documents at the time but the documents were rejected without a valid reason. I furnished the company with different documentation including my birth certificate, a new generation ID card which I applied for after the initial experience and most recently my passport and recent bank statement.

The company's final response as of 14/01/2023 is that after a full review they have decided to close my account permanently.

Why have international companies and banks accepted my documents but William Hill rejects them?

I applied for a passport which is a lengthy and expensive process in Kenya on 8th December 2021 motivated by the fact that it (passport) being an international travel document it would be accepted by William Hill. I have submitted my passport as well as my recent bank statement and after the last conversation with their team I was notified that my account has been closed permanently.

What happens to my USD 200 which I deposited and was in the account?

Can't they refund the funds to the source of funds before closing the account?

The same documents they've rejected are the same that I've been using with international and local financial institutions as well as the government.

I need my $200 which I deposited to be refunded to the Skrill account which deposited the money. The money was in the account when it was restricted it and I had won 2$.

I wrote to their second opinion department on 8th January 2023 and haven't heard from them even after following up.

Their website states that they'll acknowledge acknowledge the complaint within 24 hours and resolve the issue within 10 days. They've gone mute yet they made eCOGRA to close my case as I hadn't contacted their dispute resolution department for a final evaluation.

eCOGRA has since gone silent after notifying them that William Hill has not responded.

Josh

Desired outcome: I want my 200$ back.

William Hill Withdrawals

I placed a 47p bet on a accumulator and it won, I deposited 5 pounds to register my new bank card because my old one was out of date, withdrew the 330pound funds and I haven't received it, I provided all correct I'd now they have locked my account, I generally place a 50p accumulator on football everyday hoping one would win and this one finally did, how are they allowed to do this? Surely its fraud

Desired outcome: I want my money

William Hill Gaming Restrictions

Restrictions have been placed on my account, unsure why. I really liked William Hill and played the promotions daily. You are still happy for me to deposit money but not happy with me accessing the promotions. I have tried to contact you through the Chat but was kept waiting for 30 minutes. It is such a shame that you have done this, the last month i have lost £10.53, which is not a lot, but if you would like to reimburse me I would be willing to accept it. I do not intend to deposit any more money with you for the foreseeable future as I would like to be able to access it, and I dint trust you now

Desired outcome: Lift the restrictions

William Hill Gaming query

I made a complaint on being underpaid on a casino game online. ( gold strike bonanza vegas millions ) I had a email back saying I was paid out correctly. The 17th spin states the payout was £9532 but in fact it was incorrect I had a screen recording which shows it should have been £16,000. I will attach it to this, it rounded the payout to £9532 but it clearly shows the winnings were £8,000 with the x2 feature showing which doubled it to £16,000.

William Hill A bet

I put a bet on 12th may Tottenham & Arsenal game 7.45 kick off it was build your odds Maura shot on target & Kane & son shot on Target which they all did. The bet was live right till the end I have screenshots to prove it & then it got void . I’m so unhappy that you can take our money but not quick to pay out. I’ve spoken to people on the chat & get different answers . Well today I showed people at work that use you all the time & they say the same you should pay up. I think maybe you messed up on the bet that’s why you were quick to return my stake. It’s only the bottom bet on the picture I’m complaining about.

Mr james wilson 16 february 2016

[protected]@gmail.com

Dear mr wilson,

Thank you for your email of 20 january to the secretary of state for culture, media and
Sport, the rt hon john whittingdale obe mp, about fixed odds betting machines
(Fobts). I am replying as a member of the ministerial support team.

The department would like to reassure you that ministers have had a long standing
Interest in this area and are on record expressing their reservations about fobts and
Stake size.

The department also understands the public concerns around fobts. That is why in
April 2014, the previous government announced action in this area with a whole suite of
New gambling controls, which came into force in early 2015, including measures to
Restrict unsupervised stakes above £50.

The government announced new measures to help players of gaming machines stay in
Control. These new measures include requiring players of fobts who want to stake
More than £50 in one play to interact with staff over the counter or register a customer
Account card. The intention of these measures is to allow those players who wish to
Gamble responsibly to do so, while ensuring those at risk are helped to stay in control.
They also include mandating pre-commitment so that at the start of a game players will
Be presented with a choice to set limits on how much they want to spend, requiring larger
Operators to offer customer accounts and encourage take up so that players can track
And monitor their spend. These measures came into force in april 2015. Officials in the
Department, along with the gambling commission, are conducting an evaluation into
These measures and results will be published in due course.

Furthermore, with regard to the risks associated with fobts, the responsible gambling
Trust (Rgt) published research into gaming machines in licensed betting offices in
December 2014. The programme of research was commissioned by the rgt to build the
Knowledge base to identify and mitigate harmful machine play.

Department for culture, media & sport & sport

The department is are working with the gambling commission to take this work forward
In light of the depth of findings contained in the rgt research. The department is also
Working closely with the rgt and industry on further research proposals and
Operationalising the research in terms of industry trials aimed at identifying problem
Gamblers and appropriate interventions.

Regarding the risks associated with b2 machines, the rgt published world-leading and
Independently conducted research into gaming machines in licensed betting offices in
December 2014. The programme of research was commissioned by the rgt to build the
Knowledge base available to identify harmful machine play and to understand what
Measures might limit harmful play without impacting on those who do not exhibit harmful
Behaviours.

This research was conducted independently by leading experts in gambling behaviour
And social research, and reviewed by a panel of international academics to ensure it
Meets the standards expected of high quality academic research.

The gambling commission has now responded to the findings in detail and has advised
The government on the next steps in developing our understanding of what tips the
Balance for players between harmful and non-harmful gaming machine play. You can find
The gambling commission’s advice at:

I hope that this is helpful.

Yours sincerely,

Brenda aspinall

William Hill Bet made but did not pay out

Hi,

Ive made a bet on William Hill.
My bet was:
Ronaldo to score first and Portugal to win 1-0.
The odds given was 135/1 which I accepted and placed.
The bet was settled and I won the bet.
When I went onto William Hill, the Bet was void for Ronaldo to score first and they only paid out 6/1 for Portugal to win 1-0.
Now this is unfair since they accepted my bet and if I had lost, they would have take my money.

I placed a bet on golf tournaments on the 24th of Oct this was after the second round of both tournaments they where the Japan open and the Macau open. My bet was a £1ew double on k oda in the Japan open which he won and on a.groom in the Macau open where he was 4th . when I went to collect my money which wasn't a lot was told that the bet was void as betting had been suspended at the time I placed the bet for William hill hadn't reformed the new market odd for the golf players therefore my bet shouldn't have been accepted by the staff member and therefore my bet was declared void. I wonder if anyone could advice me if that decision was indeed correct thanx

you bet on rolando and not RONALDO. Rolando is a centre back who plays for Porto. Looking at the screen, it seems as though you placed the bet online, hence, it is your own responsibility to check you have the correct selection. Also, common sense would state that 1-0 portugal ronaldo first GS would never have odds at 135/1, it would be more closer to 6s or 7s. Bet was voided as rolando did not take part in the match, therefore, bet was voided and hence settled correctly.

I am sure that if Rolando had been the goalscorer they would have paid out. Moral - check your slip before you leave the counter.

William Hill Avoid this place at all costs

I went on to William Hill's Online Casino as a result of an email regarding a bonus I would get for playing. I made two deposits - the first £70 and I asked for my winnings, in total £70 + £10 I had won to be paid back to my credit card account. I then deposited a further £70 and then asked for the same amount to be withdrawn back on to my card.

I have now had an email from them asking me to provide a copy of my passport or driving licence, a copy of the credit card (back and front) and utility bill showing my address. I feel that if I provide this type of information my identify is seriously compromised but unless I provide it they will not give me back my money. They claim that this is required by law.
