Wimpy International durban north, pick and pay hyper by the sea

Had your breakfast special with my wife at store, and had some leftovers. Staff refused to allow us to take it with us as the special is only for sitdown! First Wimpy I experienced that said that, for that matter first restaurant ever that said you are not allowed to take leftovers - do they put it on the next plate coming out? Even the manager did not want to come out to defend his/her policy!

Wimpy International poor service and portion size

i was at wimpy yesterday with my 3 kids, I have been to this wimpy 5 times now where I have had to just leave due to no service, even after being patient and having to wait half a hour to be addressed, the waiters or waitresses do not even bring menus and even if they have asked if someone has attended to us and we have informed them that no one has, they still do not come back to us. their attitudes are honestly shocking with this no care attitude and no worries if we come back or not. the experience I have had at this wimp has been very poor.

I asked for a menu with the salads on it and the waitress said they are waiting for new menus and she cant give me one now, so I did not know the pricing of what I wanted, so when I received my calamari salad, there were 4 pieces of calamari in and 4 forks full of salad and it was finished, and the salad was R60.00! since when did they start serving mains as starters? this is an absolute rip off. it is a luxury to eat out and receiving such poor service and small food portions from wimpy, I am highly disgusted. the kids sausages were full of oil and old and wrinkled up. I do not complain as I worry that they might spit in my food, so I would rather pay and leave, however after yesterday, I feel it necessary to display my frustration and disappointment.

the service at wimpy diamond pavilion mall in Kimberley northern cape is shocking. wimpy salad food portions should be moved to starters so people are aware of what they will be paying for and not expecting a decent salad main.

Wimpy International I am complaining about product and service

Good day

We went on a family holiday the past weekend, we went to Nelspruit. On Saturday 25 Novemeber 2017, we decided to have brunch at the Wimpy at I'langa Mall.

My husband ordered the lamb meal that was on the menu, we also order the jug of cold drink, when we tasted the cold drink, it was completely flat, we asked our waiter to please take it back as it was completely flat and extremely horrible to drink, when we got our meals, my husbands lamb chops were not cooked well inside, it was still very red - we asked the waiter to please have it sorted out - she took his meal to the kitchen and brought it back a few minutes later. When we cut the chops, we seen that it was still not done. I then called for a manager. She seen that the meat was not well done and apologised.

We asked for our bill and we were charged the full value of his meal, now paying the amount was not the issue, it was the principle behind it, he never ate his meal, what were paying for? Even his chips were untouched.
I advised the manager that I was not prepared to pay R143.90 for his meal that he did not eat much off, I accepted to pay half of that as he ate 1 piece of chop. After an almost huge argument, the manager took our slip and returned stating that she discounted it by R20.00. I asked her what good was that as he never ate his food. She said to me that they already not charging me for the jug of coke and she took R20.00 of the bill.

Please bare in mind that we did not drink the coke. We took a sip and returned it. She did not do us a favour by taking that off the bill.

She started having a really bad attitude telling me that I should pay what I feel is necessary as she doesn't understand how I can not pay for it when he ate the food, (as mentioned above, she acknowledged that his food was not well done and apologized- she seen the meat in his plate) and walked away from our table.

We paid half the price for his meal, even though I had every right not to pay for his meal at all as 3 chops and a full plate of chips went back to the kitchen.

I am really disappointed that we drove four hours from Johannesburg to have that kind of service, his birthday was the 21st and that was the reason for the weekend getaway and it was his first time at Wimpy - it is extremely disappointing. Your brand has lost 4 customers due to the bad service from the manager and the failure to rectify a problem in the kitchen.
We had the decency to ask them to cook it properly before escalating it to management.

What is the principle of your brand and what is the standard that you live by?

I am so angry by the service that I want to take this to social media and let everyone I know understand that Wimpy does not believe in customer service and do not take pride in what they do in the kitchen or the service that they present to their clients.

Wimpy International a poorly maintained wimpy. with very dirty toilets and shappy seating and loss tables. I disgrace to the wimpy brand and look!

26/11/2017. But I have been before.
The Wimpy in the Makado Mall Louis Trichardt is a perfect example of neglect, With an outdated look, chipped cups, no milk jugs, warn table tops etc... Filthy toilets, marks on the walls and holes on the verranda floor of the premises. I cannot believe the Wimpy logo has not been removed as yet. Or is this the future of Wimpy SA? Really shocking and a disgrace. I now located close to Zimbabwe but really!

Wimpy International racist treatment at the kollonade branch of wimpy

I was at the wimpy in kollonade on the 24th November 2017 and ordered the special so I ate and requested to take my left over food home and was told by the manager that it is againt the t.c's to have a doggy bag. When I asked where the t&c's was documented or displayed he said i must go outside the store as it's only displayed at the one site, so I asked for a picture the of the fine print and he rolled his eyes and stormed off irritated! Then asked my bill be brought to me, no other communication further. ...I would never advice anyone to come to this place! The owner was called to resolve the situation to my surprise the owner said i should speak to the area manager who is 'a Xhosa' and maybe I'll understand better. He also allowed his manager to scream at me saying it's typical that I failed to read the T&C's that's when I retorted that it's racist to assume and say what she said the owner didn't even flinch .so I assume the treatment is common at Wimpy.

Wimpy International manager of wimpy bugersfort limpopo

The manage of wimpy bugersfort limpopo, was very rude to me and my nieces this morning, the 24th of December. We decided to go have breakfast before the black Friday frenzy, we Came in with our trolley which we were going to use for our shopping that day. She decided to push out our trolley without letting us know the reason, I asked her why she did that, she told me and can't have a trolley in the shop and just left without elaborating further. Now never have I have heard a rule in restaurants that you need to leave your trolley to outside as you eat. Please do something about her attitude as she is dealing with people every single day, I told her I am never coming to that shop ever again, and I am sure I am not the first one to notice her stinking attitude.

Wimpy International product and service

I would like to lay a complaint against a Wimpy Festival Mall
My family and I had breakfast yesterday we placed an order with the waitress (not sure of her name) my 7 yr old daughter ordered a toasted cheese sandwich on brown bread when she received her food the bread was burnt it looked like there wasn't any cheese on the bread and she said she doesn't like how the food looked, so I asked the waitress to please change the bread as it is burnt and please add more cheese, she brought the exact same sandwich back and just left it there and walked away I then called her back to tell her this was unacceptable she picked up the sandwich and walked away. She then brought the sandwich back exactly the same and threw it on the table so I asked her is there a problem she ignored me, I then asked her if she could please bring me butter that i already asked for and she just walked away from me, which another waitress heard me and brought me the butter. I do not want any refunds but I will ensure that my complaint is heard and others are aware of the bad service at Wimpy Festival mall, the staff do not even try to please the clients, I go to Wimpy woodbridge every Saturday and never once have I experienced this service or pathetic food there.

Wimpy International mondays buy 1 get 1 free breakfast promotion

Hi today myself, husband and son visited wimpy in value centre Springfield and had a disturbing experience before exiting .I ordered a chicken and steak combo a granadilla smoothie breakfast special which consists of bacon, pork sausage, eggs, tomatoes and toast × 2 for R50 .so here's where it gets interesting we had our meal and gathered our leftovers which wasn't much just 3 sausages .I asked the waitress for a take away tray.she told me no take always on specials so I told her hand me a serviette as I assumed take away containers are costly that was why they refused .she handed me the serviette and I put the sausage in it as I wasn't prepared for it to be thrown away, as we were paying our bill by another pregnant waitress who tells me "what u are doing is wrong" I was baffled and asked her to explain she says the takeaway in my bag I was shocked as I I'm aware that even on a promotion level you may have ure takeaway as it is going to the bin and not going to be consumed by another so she proceeds to call a guy who said he was the manager and he did not have a badge and had on plain clothing who blocked me as i couldnt get out of my seat he totally embarrassed me in a crowded seating area by raising his voice and speaking over me telling me we were told before we order the special that we are not allowed to take away our left overseas I told him I wasn't aware and hadn't been told such.he continued to to justify the policy saying i did not pay for my meal that is why i cannot take it away i told him i did pay for my order and i have proof he said its a buy 1 get 1 free so i neva pay the free meal and im not allowed so how exactly does he come to the conclusion as to which meal was eaten and in my defence I would not let him have the satisfaction as someone else who was hungry can eat it instead of it being thrown into the bin but it fell on deaf ears he pr oceeded to the front counter as I left behind him i was then confronted by him outside the restaurant he wanted the sausage so asked him if they are reusing the leftovers that is why they are so persistent on me giving them him the sausage or if they themselves are eating it .He was left without words and gathered his thoughts before he could answer no. Wimpy International breakfast at wimpy oasis m1

Horrible experience! We had to wait 45 min for our order. Asked for manager. Manager was working at grill. They cleaned cutlery by dipping it in a bucket of filthy water. When food arrived steak was cremated instead of medium rare. Lots of people that came in long after us were served long before us. Very dissapointing visit. Please report back. Wimpy International being acknowledged

Most of time I visit Wimpy in Bothasig Cpt I am very unhappy today specific I have being waiting to be served as just for some waiter to take my order requested this. Eventually I had to go myself and try to order. The service there is apathetic they help people that come in after you when I ask all I ever hear is I appologise well apology is what we use like every second word in SA. I feel like crying

Wimpy International bad treatment

On 21/10/17 I visited wimpy rudan garage at 20:30 the cashier told me they no longer take sit down only take aways but the closing time displayed on the wall is 21:00. I asked her to call the manager to crearifie the matter then the lady said no we can sit. She attended us 10minutes later to take our order she placed our irder an came back with a bill say they are cashing up. The food was drie the chicken was very crispy. We received our food 20:50 then the waitress just left. The first incident was a cockroach in the drink now this. Dont u value your customers @ FAMOUS BRANDS.

Wimpy International wimpy serves old food

I'm disgusted by the poor service and old food served. On the 28 october 10:30 we decided to have breakfast at the wimpy trade route mall, served by manageress zola. We were seated at a table filled with at atchar which was cleaned when we asked for it to be cleaned. We placed our beverage order and had to wait 45 minutes before it arrived. We then placed our food order which took another hour to arrive and when asking why the food is taking that long we were simply ignored and told it's coming. By the time we received our food we were so hungry, we had no idea we had to inspect our food. As I took the first bite into my breakfast I noticed by bread had been moulded and was served to me as is. I called zola and was told that it was the bread company's fault. I beg to differ as wimpy served it! Our food was taken and we had to wait another 20 minutes to recieve a fresh plate which was supposed to be served the first time. Serving such food could cause food poisoning and if I am to fall i'll I will hold you responsible wimpy! I have pictures and I will be posting it so everyone can see that your franchise holds no consistency where quality is concerned

Wimpy International waffle and ice cream

Ordered a waffle after waiting for a while for the waitress to attend to me and received the waffle, didn't take long but all I can say is that the ice cream is very watery. Called one of the waitresses and ask if their ice cream always soaked your waffle like this and she said yes as I showed her.continued to have it till some time as I was not enjoying it and stopped.

Wimpy International very poor service

Sunday [protected], A bunch of us friends returning hungry from OppiKoppi decided to stop at Wimpy for a "quick" breakfast before we go our separate ways. When we arrive at Wimpy no one was at the door waiting to service us, we had to put together tables ourselves and sat down for about 10 minutes, and shouted at a waiter running past us that we would like some service.
The waiter then took our drinks and food order, and the drinks took more than 15min to arrive at the table. After we waited more than 45 minutes for the food, we started asking what is going on. The waiter ensured us they are busy with the food. We waited another 15 minutes, only to receive 5 out of the 10 plates of food we ordered, and by that time the food was cold. We waited again for 5min to receive 3 more plates of food, and then after another 5 min we received the last 2 plates of food, and received the wrong food, we had to wait for the mistake to be cleared out. On top of the fact that we had to wait that long for food, my Cappuccino was as bleak as a cup of tea with too much milk, and I also had to wait 15 min for the double espresso I ordered just to make my cappuccino look like a decent cup of coffee.
We received our cutlery thrown on a plate, not even enough for the whole table, not wrapped in the serviettes.
On the big red wall, a notice is put up that the clients must ensure the bill is correct, but the spelling and grammar mistakes are so bad they could rather leave the notice.
WORST WIMPY EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!
I've been part of the Wimpy group in Brits Mall, and I know how long food and drinks are supposed to take, and know the level of service that we can expect at a wimpy, and the Wimpy in Northam definitely does not represent that at all!

Wimpy International missing food

On 8 October 2017 16:52 we stopped at Wimpy Vaal 1 Stop West and order take away food. After waiting 25 minutes for the food, we were in such a hurry so we did not check that the order was complete. When I open the brown bag to give my children their food, the Chips and Frank was missing. We were already on the highway so we could not turn back. My boy was very upset that he did not got what he ordered, and was not pleased at all to share my food.

Wimpy International waiting too long for food

I take my mom for shopping every Saturday morning at the Fleurdal mall in Bloemfontein. As we have done for years, on Saturday 30 Sept we walked directly to the Wimpy to have breakfast as we have done for most Saturdays when the main entrance doors opened (08:00)

There has been many occasions when we waited longer than the prescribed time for our food. The service in this Wimpy is bad in general. This time though, i thought i would bring it to the attention of the correct people.

The till slip of our transaction is attached.

We sat at table 2. Waited approximately 20 - 25 min. for our food.

When you watch the cctv camera footage of the incident you will notice at least one person walking away after not being acknowledged at seated within an acceptable time.

You will also see that restaurant was really not busy at the time (probably 40% of capacity.

The cashier came to our table to apologize. The manageress never thought it necessary to visit our table, apologize or anything.

Wimpy International food and service

Today myself husband and son decided to have breakfast at wimpy hermanus we stood outside for a while as the lines were extremely long no the less we eventually went inside we waited for almost 30mins for our order to be taken the waiter arrived took our Order we waited for more than an hour we called the manager and one of the other waiters they said they would check but never did eventually food arrived it was ice cold I called waiter back he took the food brought it back 2mins later we ate you could see that the food wasn't prepared fresh it was just reheated but because we were so hungry we ate from the meals the chips were hard the bun u couldn't bite it the patties on there extremely dried out I was so dissgusted and disappointed my husband called the manager to complain and say how bad and pathetic the service was but they couldn't seem to care we paid and left I will never ever go back there and I will inform my friends and family member's to bad bad everything bad..our meals was the burger special which comes with a milkshake and fries both me and husband had that and my son had a kiddies meal toasted cheese with fries even he said mommy the food is terrible coming from a 3year old...I'm am so disappointed and disgusted I will not go back there...Claudia Hendricks

Wimpy International bad food and poor service

It is Wednesday 27 September 2017. A sad day as We had to say goodbye to my parents who were relocating to Durban. We checked in and came to our restaurant of choice for breakfast, Wimpy at Cpt Int Airport.
At first, we waited at the door before being escorted to our seat. After a long wait, I asked for assistance and was shocked when the waiteress said she was giving me time to decide on what we wanted to eat or drink. No person comes to the airport gor a family get together but as a quick meal and to say bye to loved ones.
I ordered the streaky breakfast and besides the presentation that sucked, my bacon was ice cold as if it was made yesterday.
I did not eat the bacon and sent it back. My meal spoilt.

Wimpy International bad food

Good day

My husband and I recently visited the Wimpy in Gate way mall Umhlanga Durban last week and ordered the Wimpy burger with a milkshake special.

The waitress showed us the picture and we ordered.

When the food came it was nothing like the picture. There was two gherkins on it (the picture showed lots) it was a pathetic burger snapped together with barely anything on. I do have photos as well.

It is the second time we have been disappointed with the food there.

Wimpy International takeaway order

We went to wimpy mtuba yesterday and I have the following complaints.
1. I asked for mixed grill and they could not assist me cause their "truck has not arrived yet" and had no meat and eggs
2. I ordered a cheese burger and a bacon and cheese burger with extra hash brown. When we started eating the patty was most definitely not your famous beef patty but more like a soya patty that was bought from the local spar. We could not eat it and threw it away.
3. No cans of coke or fanta or creamsoda or sparberry only sprite zero
4. Very very very very disappointed
