Harvey's Canada Awesome service and delectable food

I dined at Harvey's on Torbay Road, St. John's, NL on April 6, 2024 where Karan both took and served my order. Karan is a credit to Harvey's! He was extremely pleasant and friendly as well as thorough and efficient. The food was delicious as usual. I must add that I have always been treated well at Harvey's and this time exceptionally well! Many thanks from a grateful patron!

Recommendation: I hope that you have a wonderful experience at Harvey's!

Harvey's Canada Delivery driver

Order ID [protected], upon arrival the driver stood by my door and waited I finally ask why he was standing when it was toggled to the right that it was a contactless order and he replied you have to say you want it contactless and I told him it was toggled to do so he was very rude and disrespectful and for this reason I will never use your app again because I’m sure nothing will be done.

Harvey's Canada Harvey’s App and Customer Service at 5303 23 AVE Edmonton, AB

Two parts.

1. Harvey’s App

It is absolutely hot steaming garbage. The app doesn’t let you choose to pick up ASAP or NOW. It forces you to do it at midnight. So the store has no clue what is happening and they don’t know how to work the app.

Additionally the app does not delete or modify after the order is placed.

2. Customer service at Harvey’s 5303 23 AVE Edmonton, AB.

The person at the window thinks an order can be canceled like an Uber or skip. But the Harvey’s app is NEITHER. Lack of training and no idea what he was talking about. Also stating he cannot give the email or contact or even a name for the franchise owner and told me to google it or read the google reviews for it.

Absolutely garbage!

Desired outcome: Properly explanation of how the app works and canceling it if needed. Finding a way to cancel it if a customer doesn’t want it.

Harvey's Canada Product

On November 3 my family of 4 went to your restaurant in the city of Rosemère through the drive through we order our meals, once we arrived home all our meals were in correct it was not worth driving back I believe the communication is key to every one

I wanted to go back but the kids excepted it and that’s why I am relaying this message to your corporation

Harvey's Canada Incorrect pricing

Harveys wacky Wednesday double orginal burger with cheese and bacon buy one get one free . This add was in Niagara money saver. The harveys app for the Lundy lane Niagara Falls location has the burger for $8.69 +tax =$9.82 . I did not order through the app because we had a few stops to make before we arrived at the Harveys. When we ordered the lady told me the double orginal cheese and bacon burger was $13.78. She said the cheese and bacon on the second burger was extra. I showed her the add in the flyer. She took the cheese and bacon charge off but still over charged me. She charged me $11.40. The point i want to make is the fact of is poor advertising and following through with pricing.

Desired outcome: If theres a discrepancy at grocery stores they give it to you for free. So i think i should recieve a gift card for $11.40. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.ca

Received a salad and when eating it (they were such big pieces) and a large piece of plastic was in the lettuce. I recently ordered and dined in at your location in collingwood and was disappointed with the service. The manager took our order and had not interest in taking our order. We had to repeat it several times and it still ended up being incorrect. Then when we did receive our food I had stems on my burger. The fries that I didn't order were less than half full. I was very dissatisfied with the service.

Harvey's Canada App food order - cheese

July 14/23

Airdrie Alberta Harvey’s order through their app and delivered by them.

Ordered Swiss cheese and received burger with processed cheddar cheese (major allergy). That goodness I looked before I ate it.

Large strawberry milkshake was pure liquid and not even mixed.

Called them and asked to speak to manager - she said persons wasn’t there and couldn’t give me a exact day I could reach person. Manager name Nova.

Took my name and number for person to call me back.

She didn’t even offer ‘I’m sorry could we delivery proper order to you in the meantime’! Zip nothing!

Desired outcome: I would like to talk to management on phone! I need to address how serious this could have been for me regarding CHEESE!

Harvey's Canada Raw chicken

I do not normally complain, but this is literally dangerous, so I have no choice but to take action. I normally love the food here, for the record, and have never complained once.

Last night, I ordered a large order. 6 chicken burgers, 12 piece Buffalo chicken nuggets, 3 egg sandwiches, and a breakfast wrap. This was meant for my family for a couple days of dinners. We ate the egg meals no problem, and I saved my 12 piece Buffalo chicken nuggets for the morning/lunch. (I am night shift) I took my chicken out to eat some before bed.

I took a bite. It was grotesquely chewy and tasted funny. I noticed when I picked the piece up that the batter was unusually Sloppy. I thought they included extra sauce and that was why it was soggy. I finished the piece, thinking I must have had a bad piece of chicken- the kind with gristle in it. I tried a second piece. Same sensation, maybe worse. I hastily swallowed that and chased it with a drink and then, puzzled, I took a third and ripped it open. To my ABSOLUTE shock and horror, the chicken was RAW. I am not taking about partially cooked. It was 100% raw all the way through. I have NEVER in my life received dangerous food before.

See the attached pictures. I will literally never forget this experience. I ate two large chunks of uncooked chicken that potentially can have salmonella. What if I had fed this to a child!? Absolutely unacceptable. How does this happen? Someone literally forgot to COOK MY FOOD, RAW batter and all! My chicken was soggy because it was coated in raw batter, not because there was sauce.

This is one of the most revolting experiences of my entire life. Immediately, I began to vomit. I am fairly certain I have food poisoning at the moment, because I cannot stop being sick and my stomach is burning like it is on fire. I cannot leave the bathroom and I am sitting on my floor writing this right now because I am irate. This is by far the worst service I have ever received. ALL TWELVE of the chicken nuggets were raw. I didn't bother looking at the chicken burgers because I am sick enough as it is. I will never forget sensation of biting down on raw chicken. I merely thought that I had a bad piece at first, not that my entire MEAL was raw!

Now not only was I unable to eat or sleep, but I cannot go about my daily work because of the uncontrollable symptoms. I may have to go to the hospital if this doesn't stop and then I will miss even MORE work. I literally would not be sick right now if I had ordered somewhere else with COOKED CHICKEN. I have a witness and I WILL be escalating this matter if nothing is done about it. What in the actual world happened!? There is no justification for serving a customer this atrocity. The thing is, I am a LOYAL customer, too, and I praise and prefer your chicken! Imagine the slap in the face I got.

I literally cannot believe you served me raw chicken. The evidence is attached. This is absolutely outrageous and DANGEROUS and we had better all hope I do not have salmonella from this. Please get back to as soon as possible, this is INSANE.

Desired outcome: I require compensation and a response. You should be refunding my entire $80 order and making this right. I need to know what is being done about this and why it happened.

This complaint has been 100% resolved. The restaurant owner was extremely good. Within 20 minutes of my complaint, I reeceived a phone call. They were swift in resolution, and I really appreciate that. I feel it was handled professionally and with kindness. They made me feel cared for, and there was a great deal of compassion. I was appropriately compensated for the mistake, and I am totally satisfied with the outcome and explanation that I received. I will, in fact, continue to be a customer, so you can rest assured that this situation was handled well. The owner immediately handled the situation and spoke with staff. There was a freak accident involved the divider of the baskets during preparation that should not have happened, and one of the orders (my order) went out raw. They have taken reasonable steps to prevent this from ever happening again. I absolutely believe that it was a freak accident, and I forgive them entirely. Please take that into account, when you read the situation and view my pictures. Harvey's was excellent to me, and I want that to be clear. Their customer care was exceptional, and I was treated with respect and the situation was given the attention and handled with the appropriate effort, given the severity of what happened. I was informed that not only would they be getting new equipment and a better locking system for the dividers, but that a new store rule was in place so that if there was any unfortunate problems with the equipment, the entire order would be thrown out and re-made from scratch. This is a very satisfactory response. I believe genuinely that something like this will never happen again, and I appreciate everything that transpired. In the end, I feel cared for and valued as a customer. Thank you for your efforts. I almost never complain, and was actually told that they were glad that I did complain. Everything will be safer from now on. I also want to note that all of this was handled within 6 hours of my complaint, from start to finish. I sent the complaint around 9am, and the resolution was fully completed by 4pm. I received a refund and compensation within 45 minutes of my complaint. The response time was admirable. Please do not judge them based on my complaint, as they handled it. The situation has been resolved 100% and I will continue to be a customer. Thank you!

Harvey's Canada Plated breakfast

I drove through the drive up window about a week ago and noticed that you were now serving a plated breakfast much like A&W so this Sunday at the 107th Ave location I thought I would give it a try. The picture on the menu looked amazing of course and when I drove up there was only one car in front of me already at the pick up window so I’m thinking awesome 👏🏻. 23 minutes later I got my food (of sorts) and my over easy eggs likely cooked for 20 minutes of that time. Wasted some cash for sure. I don’t want anything I just thought you should be aware. The poor lady at the front might have been by herself which is why I didn’t complain. She was trying to serve me plus the walk in customers as well and was also in and out of the kitchen too. My email is [protected]@gmail.com

Harvey's Canada Poor customer service

I have been visiting Harvey's for the last 35 years. The staff at this location were not paying attention to customer needs. The front service area where all the toppings place were messy. They kept talking in their language and were making fun of a older customer, looking at him. One of them were on their personal phone. They all need be fired. This is not the Harveys I know off. Harvey's Canada Wrong Order

Hello,

Placed an order a Harvey’s last week for an Argus beef burger and original poutine drive thru once I got to work and check my ordered it was different from what I paid for. Spend over $18.00 on this ordered to get something totally different. I called the store spoke to the cashier and was told to come back next time to the store and get a new ordered. Today May 1th, 2023 went to the store, told another casher after waiting 15mins for a manager to say to me that nothing is written the compliment book and he cannot do anything about this. I fine it to be very rude to waste my time knowing I am already late for work and paid for a complete meal again.

Harvey's Canada Order

Hello,

My name is Nik. I went to Harvey’s on April [protected] Cottrelle Blvd. Brampton, Canada ON L6S 0E1). I ordered a veggie burger and large poutine and drink combo. After I placed the order, I asked the worker to add some onions on the poutine. The worker started arguing with me and said they don’t do that. They agreed to give it in a container and I was ok with that. For the burger, I asked for extra sauce on the side, but the worker said no. The container with extra sauce was not even filled halfway so I asked for extra, but they denied it. They said that they charge for extra, and another worker got angry and snatched the burger and recipes from the current worker. He started charging me extra for everything else and spoke in a derogatory way. I asked for a refund as I don’t want to order from Harvey’s ever again, and he started arguing more with me. I insisted on a refund and then he gave it to me after arguing and yelling for so long. I am extremely upset with this situation and decided to email because this type of behaviour is unacceptable for a franchise like Harvey’s. I have been a regular customer for that location but they were behaving so rudely. I am hoping something can be done about this. I have attached the receipt to this email as proof for my order.

Please let me know what the action being taken is or a compensation for this unacceptable behaviour.

Good afternoon Sir, We are extremely sorry about the inconvenience you faced, We tried to reach you before as well but did not get through. We always try to go as far as possible to give our guests the service they deserve and want. Unfortunately we do not garnish poutines with veggies or sauces as those are for burgers, still if some guest likes some extra stuff on the side we are happy to provide it, but we do not modify our poutines as those are standard items of our menu. You were given the stuff you asked for and you were ready to pay but the supervisor did not want to give you the trouble to cancel your order and make you pay again as you said it has to be on the same bill and you were not happy with the service and asked to talk to the manger cancelled the order. There was no argument about the cancellation and you were given your money back politely. We understand that we were not upto your expected standards. We would like to apologize again for the inconvenience.

Harvey's Canada Service & cleanliness

On Dec 9th 2022 at 12:45pm we went into Harvey’s in Goderich Ontario to order lunch to go. The front cash staff were extremely rude as was the prep counter staff. The restaurant itself was in disarray, the cleanliness of the condiment table was horrific. We then made our way over to the fountain pop area which was also very dirty and many things strewn about. I would have to say if the health dept were to walk I. They would have [censored] this restaurant down. Even when short staffed there is no need to be rude or dirty, I’m unsure what’s happening at this restaurant but it certainly was an unpleasant visit for us, I doubt we will go back.

Desired outcome: Clean the restaurant and train the staff.

Harvey's Canada Today I deleted the Harvey's app

Today I deleted the Harvey’s app from my phone. I no longer trust it. This afternoon I placed a mobile order for the Harvey’s near my house in Waterloo. When I got there they didn’t have a record of it. The girl serving me insisted I must have the wrong store. I showed her the order confirmation email, and the credit card charge. After a short discussion the best she could do was give me an 800 number to call and fix it myself. Didn’t exactly scream “please continue to be our customer.” And to add insult to injury, when I dialed the 800 number I got the Swiss Chalet call center and the person I spoke to said they couldn’t help me. Hilarious. A moment later my phone rang. It was a someone from Harvey’s letting me know my order didn’t go through (duh!) and I’d get a refund. And since I was at the restaurant I could just place my order again. This was a half hour after spinning my wheels at the restaurant already. At that point I’m steamed. I left and went across the street to McDonald’s. The restaurant could have simply accepted there was a mistake and made my order for me when I got there. But decided to brush me off. I complained, and someone from head office said they'd get back to me within two days. That was a month ago. Message received.

Desired outcome: The store should have accepted there was a system error, made my meal for me, and let me go on my way.

Harvey's Canada Fresh Fries

Sunday, Nov 27 /22 9 p.m.

I went through drive-through and ordered a regular fry. Everyone was very courteous and quick, however, the fries were frozen. This was not the first time. This happened a couple of months ago. I worked for three or four years at this location (Appleby/Upper Middle, Burlington) and we never used frozen fries. Even on your website, it says fresh fries. What happened?

Desired outcome: A free meal for two would be appreciated.

Harvey's Canada The complaint I have is with the app

Thursday November 24 . The complaint I have is you advertise a coupon on the app which I can pull up but can only access by paying by visa according to the sales person . Why does Harvey’s not have other methods of payment for the app as do other restaurants . This seems very limiting to people not able to navigate the app or someone without a Visa card . I assume I will not make Harvey’s one of the restaurants I frequent anymore if it is so and won’t be changed . Personally I prefer to come to the restaurant order and pay with debit not having to use my credit card every time . Let me know if the clerk has given me incorrect information .

Desired outcome: Well a refund of the difference would be great but I’m sure that won’t happen I’d like you to review your way of doing business and become more up to date with new methods of payment in other countries they use QR codes for payment

Harvey's Canada Burgers

My son and I went into Harvey's and purchased to 2 burgers.

My burger was cold, my son;s was burnt.

There 8 burgers already done sitting on top of a ledge, there were 4 customers already eating their food, we were the only 2 in line.

Therefore, it looked like they just grabbed one for me and put my requested toppings, and the one my son got was put back on the grill and then burned it.

Our favorite burgers were ruined.

Terrible, your staff need more training.

This not how you get customers back.
