Windmar Home Florida, Inc
Windmar Home Florida, Inc. was super honest, accurate, and professional. They made the whole process easy and safe. I am super pleased with their business practice, technical know-how, and professional results.
I'm really surprised about these reviews because my experience with Windmar Solar was amazing
I'm really surprised about these reviews because my experience with Windmar Solar was amazing. It started with the great salesman that visited my home. He was very informative and let me know all the expectations for the process of connecting the solar. Everything went smoothly. I am very pleased and I am happy with the savings I have made since I put solar in my home with Windmar.
I was kinda confused by the reviews down there 'cause my experience was different
I was kinda confused by the reviews down there 'cause my experience was different. The dude who sold me the stuff was straight up about how long this whole thing would take. He told me that just getting the permits and getting the thumbs up from my community could take a whole 30 days each. But once they got my system all set up, they did a solid job of following up and fixing any mistakes that might've happened. I mean, let's be real, technology ain't perfect, right? Overall, I'm really happy with the service and the product I bought.
I, Rosemary Rosado, have been dealing with Windmar for the last 8 months
I, Rosemary Rosado, have been dealing with Windmar for the last 8 months. Windmar hasn't resolved our issue yet regarding our Tesla battery. This battery was installed in November , and until today, May 4, the battery isn't working right. I have called Windmar plenty of times for this issue. They say they will call back, but nothing. The only thing I want from Windmar is that they fix the issue. Before you go solar, please do your homework regarding the company you pick. With Windmar, it has been a lot of stress and headaches. They are irresponsible. Yes, I have talked to Aaron *** but the issue hasn't been fixed.
Windmar was really easy to work with and explained everything in detail
Windmar was really easy to work with and explained everything in detail. They answered any questions I had and were really quick to respond. I decided to get a new water heater with them and they even helped cover install charges with a gift card. Andru even offered to help me clean out my garage when it's time to install, since I'm doing it myself. It was a really easy process, although it took a bit longer for the panels to be installed than I expected, but I wasn't in a hurry. They even have a mobile app where I can see what the panels are doing and how much electricity I'm using compared to what I'm producing. Overall, this was a great company to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone.
In June , I went on the Generac website and asked for info on making my home solar
In June , I went on the Generac website and asked for info on making my home solar. Victor *** from Windmar Homes got in touch with me and came to my house a couple days later. He gave me a price for a Generac backup system, even though I specifically said I wanted a total solar home with no *** bill. I explained it again on the phone for 30 minutes, and he quoted me a cash price of $33,531. I agreed and signed a contract a few days later after Victor assured me it was what I needed. Engineer Carlos *** came later to check the system for the permit, but he didn't know I already signed a contract and paid a deposit. He also said the equipment in my contract would make my home completely solar. The system was installed on September 4, but Windmar suggested I buy a $5,000 battery module to run the a/c without interruption, so I did. But I kept getting *** electric bills. Windmar refunded the first one after a technician found a problem, but the bills kept coming. Finally, a metering supervisor at *** said my system was too small, only producing 1/3 to 1/2 of what I used. Engineer Carlos finally came on January 24, and admitted my system was too small. The biggest Generac battery I got (with the a/c module) was only for power outages, not for daily energy production. So, despite Windmar's promises, I didn't get what I asked for. I told Windmar they needed to fix it or refund a big part of the $38,531 I paid so I could hire someone else. But Windmar hasn't responded since January. I got a lawyer who sent a letter to Windmar on February 24, accusing them of fraud and asking for compensation. Windmar never replied. They sold me the system they wanted, not what I wanted or what they said they were selling. I trusted them because they're the experts. They never checked my *** usage history to see what I needed. I have all the documents, emails, and my lawyer's letter.

Windmar Home Florida, Inc
Windmar Home Florida, Inc. has been a real disappointment when it comes to honoring their warranty. We've had an ongoing problem that we reported a whopping 6 weeks ago, and guess what? They still haven't bothered to address it! It's like they don't even care about the issues covered by their own warranty. We've been patiently waiting for over six weeks now, just like we did with our previous problems, and it seems like nothing has changed. It's really frustrating and makes us question their commitment to customer satisfaction.
WindMar is not responsive in getting the panel working
WindMar is not responsive in getting the panel working. The panels were installed in December and starting approximately August , one of the panels was not working properly. WindMar was informed of the issue and I was informed Enphase will need to update the software. After a weekly call to confirm whether this was done or not, WindMar finally said they will get their service department to get someone to look at the issue. It's been more than a couple of weeks and still no response.
In May , I bought a solar system from Windmar Home Florida, Inc
In May , I bought a solar system from Windmar Home Florida, Inc. They installed it in mid-May and certified it on June 11. However, the system has never been turned on. On July 7, Windmar Home Florida, Inc. sent me documentation stating that Teco (the electricity system in Pork County) changed the clock. The documentation was signed using docusign. Surprisingly, on August 3, they sent me the same papers with the same documentation that was signed on July 7. They have been charging me for the system for the months of July and August, even though the system has not been providing any service. I reached out to Windmar Home Florida, Inc. to inquire about when my system will start working, but they have no idea. Despite this, they continue to charge me for the service.

We got lied to by the salesperson, she said we had to sign up right away to get 1% apr for the system, but turns out they give that to everyone
We got lied to by the salesperson, she said we had to sign up right away to get 1% apr for the system, but turns out they give that to everyone. She made me sign up forcefully. I tried to ask her to cancel later, but she said it's been more than 3 days and we'd have to pay $1500 because they already spent money on planning, even though it was just 4 days later. We didn't hear from them for a whole month after. She said she's giving us a free variable pump and free boiler, but she added the cost to the loan. When I brought it up, she said it's a requirement to get a tax credit. They left powder from the roof all over the place and a nail on my pool screen. They promised we wouldn't have any bills after the installation, but the system doesn't produce enough and now I have way more expenses than before. I want them to remove the system, fix the roof, and give me a refund. They took advantage of me.
The guy who sold us the solar panels straight up lied about a few things just to make the sale
The guy who sold us the solar panels straight up lied about a few things just to make the sale. Turns out, he got the boot and the company sent him a fancy letter telling him to knock it off because he was lying to customers. So, I ended up with a system that kinda works, but it ain't producing enough juice to make a dent in my electricity bill like he promised. And get this, he had the nerve to tell me that I'd be getting some sweet government grant after buying the panels. Supposedly, I could use that cash to cover the panel costs and keep my payments the same, or I could do whatever the heck I wanted with it. But guess what? No grant, my friend. All I got was some measly tax credit that I don't even qualify for. Now, these panels are costing me more than my electric bill, and I'm still stuck paying that dang bill. Oh, and to top it all off, there's a leak in my ceiling right where they installed those panels. Can you believe it? They said they inspected the roof and gave it the thumbs up, but clearly, something went wrong.
Me and my wife had the solar system for over 2 years
Me and my wife had the solar system for over 2 years. In the first 3 months, we had a problem with the panel not reading right. It took almost 3 months to fix that. Since October , we have the same problem with the panels. I've been talking to Maria from the Orlando branch about it. After waiting for an appointment, we finally got a technician. He tried to sell us extra stuff, but we said no because we want the warranty. Then, when I talked to him, he couldn't give a logical reason why the panels aren't working. He kept blaming us and even called me "papi" which I asked him to stop. But he kept using that word and I had to tell him to leave. He passed me to his supervisor, who apologized. Then I spoke to Maria again, but she didn't give any solution to our ongoing problem. Can I meet with any of you to resolve this issue?
The salesperson from Windmar Home Florida, Inc
The salesperson from Windmar Home Florida, Inc., Alexander M, came to our house on April 13, to give us an estimate for a solar system. He provided us with the estimate, stating that we could get 25 panels for $26,007.00 through the pace ygrene program, with a monthly payment of $160.00. Alexander also informed us that we would receive an $8,000 tax credit, which we could use to lower the loan amount to $100-110 per month. We decided to take out the loan because we couldn't afford the $160 monthly payment, especially since we only have a disability check as income and bad credit.
However, when I filed my taxes in 2020, my tax guy informed me that we would not be receiving the promised tax credit. This means we are now stuck with a high-interest loan that we cannot afford, and I fear that I may lose my home as a result. I called Windmar Home Florida on March 10, and spoke to Marisa J, asking her to send me the tax papers. Unfortunately, the information she provided was the same as what my tax guy had already told me. I also messaged Alexander M through Facebook on the same day, but he never called me back as promised. On March 11, I sent an email to Marisa J, requesting a call from a supervisor, but I have yet to receive a response. I called the office on March 12, and spoke to a female employee, asking her to have a supervisor call me today, but I have not received a call back.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with Windmar Home Florida, Inc. The salesperson misled us about the tax credit, and now we are facing financial difficulties because of it. The lack of response and assistance from the company's representatives only adds to our frustration. I hope that they will take responsibility for their actions and find a solution to this problem.
On 7/23, I agreed to have solar panels installed in my house
On 7/23, I agreed to have solar panels installed in my house. Right from the start, I encountered issues with the solar panels not functioning properly. I reached out to Windmar, but the first three visits from their crew didn't resolve the problem. I kept calling until I finally received a response. They acknowledged the issue and refunded some of the money I had already paid for the system. They also promised to fix it.
The crew arrived and replaced some parts, assuring me that the problem was fixed. However, the very next day, I experienced problems again. I called the company, but unfortunately, I didn't have any success. I contacted the salesperson who provided me with the sales manager's number. I called the manager, and he promised to take care of the problem.
The crew showed up and worked on the panels, claiming to have found the problem. The panels worked for the next two days, but then the issue resurfaced. They were not producing energy, and an error message appeared. I called the company multiple times and also reached out to the sales manager through voicemail and text messages, but I didn't receive any response. I even contacted the salesperson, who said they tried to help but had no luck either.
Currently, I am still making payments for a system that doesn't work, and I don't know what else to do. Please help me. I am burdened with a debt of around $50,000 and now have to deal with two bills.
I got approved for solar in April, but it's already December and I'm still not connected
I got approved for solar in April, but it's already December and I'm still not connected. They sent me a text on the morning of June 24th to install the panels, no call or email to schedule a time. I tried calling and texting back, but ended up having to call the office to change it. After waiting for 3 hours, I had to call the sales guy to get it sorted. I asked for a heads up next time, and they said it wouldn't be a problem. But at the end of July, there was no communication. I went on vacation and found them showing up unannounced on my security cameras to install the battery and electrical boxes. I called the office and they said they would get back to me, but then my power got turned off at around 9:15 am, just 30 minutes later. I called again, but got no response. The power was off for 2 and a half hours. At noon, I had to ask my neighbor to come and tell them to turn it back on. Finally, 15 minutes later, I got a phone call. When I asked why they were working without letting us know or without anyone being home, they said, "You don't need to be there." They apologized for not giving me a heads up. But at 4 pm, the power went out again for another hour. I called again and told them I had enough. I asked them to turn it back on and stop. They said they would get back to me. At that point, I was ready to cancel the whole project. In August, an employee came out unannounced to inspect and told me I was a priority. They said that *** energy would come next, but instead, there were 3 more unannounced visits with the same Windmar employee, the County, and an Electrician. Now it's the end of December and nothing is turned on. I finally got an email from corporate saying they would look into it, but there has been no response.
I bought a solar system from Windmar Solar 'bout 3 months ago
I bought a solar system from Windmar Solar 'bout 3 months ago. They promised me big savings on my electric bill. The sales guy said I could have no electric bill or maybe just 50 bucks a month. They even wrote in the contract that I wouldn't have to make any payments for a whole year. They also threw in a $250 gift card, a free pool pump, and a free water heater. They said I'd get all that stuff within 8 weeks. But guess what? My electric bills only went down by 30 to 50 bucks. And they charged me a whopping $57,000 for the equipment! That seems way too high 'cause Tesla sells the same stuff for under $30,000. But with the $57,000 loan, my monthly bill is $175. So I'm only saving 30 to 50 bucks, and my electric bill is still around 200 bucks or more, plus the $175 loan. They lied to me! And I never got the free year of no payments like they promised. When I called the loan company, Good Leap, they said it's Windmar's fault, not theirs. Windmar put it in the contract, but they're not following through. And I never got the $250 gift card or the pool pump. The only thing they gave me was the water heater. That's a breach of contract right there. Another problem I have is with Gabriella, the Windmar installer manager. I told her my roof is 5 years old, but they never asked for any proof. Turns out, my roof is actually 21 years old and expired. Now my insurance company wants to cancel me. At first, Gabriella said they'd replace the roof, but then she changed her mind and said they'd just take it off and put it back on, and I'd have to pay for a new roof. And they still want me to keep the equipment they said was working perfectly. They lied about the age of my roof.
Fraudulent sale, won't fix our solar system as promised
Fraudulent sale, won't fix our solar system as promised. Lied about tax refund and home lien. Worst company ever! FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD! Watch out for Tim R, the salesman who conveniently disappeared. We were their first sale in northwestern Florida and were convinced we'd save money. After a 3-hour presentation and a promise of a $21 bill, we waited months for installation and had to threaten cancellation to get them to come out. We let that go and moved on with the install, paying around $38,000 ($40,000 with added appliances). Year one was a nightmare. Our bill ranged from $260 to $400, averaging $270-340. Tim disappeared and only Kathrine was available. Turns out Windmar never set up the meter correctly, taking another month to fix and refund our funds. We thought everything was fine until we tested the panels after 4-5 months in year two. Bills dropped to $130-230, nowhere near the promised $21. We were reasonable and explained this to Kathrine, who agreed there was a problem. Year two became an investigation, with Windmar blaming Gulf Power. After many meter men and swapped meters, Gulf Power confirmed it was a Windmar issue. We paid an inflated price for two years. Katherine disappeared, and Aaron took over in year three. We're still fighting to fix the issue. Aaron said it must be a metering issue, but we already fixed that with Kathrine. No notes from her, conveniently. We had to go through the runaround again, just to be told our system is running great. What a joke! They put a lien on our property without informing us, which we found out from a mortgage lender. After months of no response, we consulted an attorney. We tried to handle this civilly for three years, but these people refuse to admit their salesman lied. We're solar illiterate, but now we know the scam and want to warn others about companies like Windmar. We just wanted to be near the promised $21, but they can't even get it under $100. We asked for a refund because it's a waste of money. $215 for the panels plus $130-230 a month is ridiculous. And they put a lien on our home without telling us.
