I received notification about a cash back promotion WOOLWORTHS FINANCIAL SERVICES were running dated 8 November - "spend R1750 on my card and receive R650 cash back to spend in-store". This promotion was a nightmare from start to finish. The store knew nothing about the promotion. I was kept waiting while they verified with Woolworths who confirmed the promotion was valid - I spent R1800 and was told the voucher would appear on my rewards about a week later. Nothing except other vouchers for more money to be spent to receive vouchers appeared on my rewards. I contacted Woolworths and after being shunted from pillar to post still no joy so I wrote on FB page and was told there had been an issue with cash back promotions and that these would be available after 14 December. Still nothing. I then received an e-mail to state that they had sent me an SMS message (immediately after I spent the R1800) to say that the voucher would be available on my rewards. I did receive the SMS but no voucher! They stated that the voucher was valid until end November and therefore they had no records to see whether I had in fact received the voucher! I DID NOT RECEIVE THE VOUCHER! I have been phoning continually since NOVEMBER to try and have this sorted out and again being shunted from pillar to post ... Please help! R1800 is a lot of money to spend!
Claimed loss: R650.00
Desired outcome: I would like the full refund of what I spent (R1800) for all the inconvenience that I have been put through.
