I live in south Denver. I've been to WWVA a bunch of times to check out their cars. The salesmen are friendly, but you gotta be careful 'cause everything there is junk. Yeah, the paint jobs are shiny and they seem alright in pictures, but when you see them up close, it's clear that their inventory is garbage. It's fun to look at, but I wouldn't buy anything from WWVA. No chance.

I bought a 1967 Firebird from WWVA and it turned out to be worse than I expected. I paid $25,000 for it, but it was a complete lemon. The dealership didn't seem to care and was fine with selling it to me. They even said I could drive it home, but I'm glad I didn't because it wouldn't have made it far. The car leaks from everywhere and it's basically a poorly put together rust bucket with replacement panels. One tire rubs and the suspension is dangerous. It's scary to think that people would sell something like this and let you drive off with it. I bet they wouldn't put their own kids in it.

Buying sight unseen and leaning on the salesman and the information they provided, I was confident I was purchasing a decent vehicle. When it arrived, it barely could idle without dying. The transmission was leaking at every possible location. The AC was not even REMOTELY close to "ice cold" as they advertised on their website. The clutch doesn't work without grinding. The electric windows don't work except for one. They removed every audio speaker except for the dash speaker, which was never disclosed. I could go on...the point is, if you're a buyer, you need to either go see the vehicle they are selling you, or find a more reputable dealership to do business with. I purchased the vehicle cash, and have had to spend >$5,000 to just make it a "runner." Just incredible. Why they can't just be honest is beyond me, they obviously put their greedy profit margins over honesty. And good luck getting a call back from Greg. There's always an excuse. Greg if you're reading this, get a new profession, you're the typical car salesman and you need to go do something valuable, right now you're cashing checks based on lies. I bought a classic mini from WWVA and everything looked great according to their inspection and website. I had it towed to MN and when it arrived, the back bumper was badly cracked. The transporter gave me the shipping guy's number, but he didn't respond despite my multiple calls. I also tried calling the dealership, but they didn't answer. Finally, the guy who sold me the car took a couple of days to reply. It's funny how he was quick to respond when I was interested in buying, but not when there's a problem. I've contacted him about 20 times, but only heard back twice. TERRIBLE. He said he would tell his GM to contact me, but I haven't received a call yet. I've tried contacting everyone involved with this car, but no luck. Don't buy from them, no matter what! I won't give up on calling the shipper because he broke my car without telling me. I also got a post-purchase inspection and the car needs $5k worth of fixing, which wasn't mentioned on their website or their "28 point inspection" bs. I'd be surprised if they respond to this complaint because they can't even answer my calls.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with WWVA! We purchased a 1972 truck in March . The information provided on the website and the salespeople are very far from accurate (truthful). The salespeople are only available until the deal is done and after that, you are on your own and cannot reach anyone by phone unless you pretend to be a new customer (proven on several occasions). As far as the truck itself, it was not what was described (3/4 ton vs 1/2 ton) and had so many mechanical issues, it's impossible to list them all here. The photos on the website showed a pile of 'paperwork' that was supposedly all the work that had been done to the truck but that paperwork suddenly become nonexistent after we made the purchase. We have had to spend several thousand dollars to get the truck to a safe driving condition and still need to spend quite a bit more. They offered us $500 to help us deal issues they said we were "bumping up against" however, we haven't taken them up on that offer because we would have had to sign a multi-page document and have it notarized, agreeing that they are in now way responsible for absolutely anything. This document appears to be something they need to use quite often. There's much more to say, but to end this, we completely understood that this was not going to be a restored vehicle but we were at least expecting a vehicle that could be safely driven and would not need thousands of dollars before we were able drive it on the road. We're over the worst now and will continue to make the truck into something decent on our own, but PLEASE be aware that these people do not care what they are selling you and are only doing what they call 'surface inspections' of these vehicles so they can claim stupidity about obvious major defects. We're trustworthy people and always hope that others are too but in this case we falsely trusted dishonest people and that's on us. (There should be an option for '0' stars.)

I bought an old car from WWVA on 9/8. After I paid the taxes and registered the car in El Paso county, they told me they charged me a fee for the Denver transportation district. I live in Colorado Springs and I want them to give me back that fee of $207.90. I already sent WWVA a certified letter with all the documents.

I wouldn't buy anything from this company. The car I bought wasn't anything like the condition report or photos. It wasn't drivable, very unsafe, poorly fixed, and has cost me an extra $9,000 and still counting to make it usable. Don't waste your money with this company, please. The safety inspection with 28 points that came with the car was completely wrong. I feel so cheated out of my hard-earned money and my dream of owning the perfect car. So sad, so sad.

The truck they sold me has issues that they didn't tell me about when I bought it. I even paid for someone else to check the truck, but WWVA said they know them well and they come here often. Now, after only driving 150 to 200 miles, the engine broke down and the truck can't be driven anymore. Not only that, but there are also problems with the transmission, EGR valve, carburetor, and body (front left fender, hood, pickup bed, and bumper) that they didn't mention. Overall, this truck is priced 25 to 50% higher than it should be, considering all the repairs it needs.
To make matters worse, when they shipped the truck to me, it had no gas in it. I got stuck on the side of the road and had to call AAA to bring me gas. On top of that, the front left tire was flat. I tried calling the business multiple times, but they never returned my calls. Finally, when I spoke to a secretary, she said they don't own the trucks and can't do anything about it.
To be honest, this business seems like a scam, except they do actually deliver something, although it's not what they showed online. I'm currently in the process of getting the truck inspected, and I'll provide documentation once I have it.

I just bought a *** F-150 from WWVA for about $19000. I checked out the maintenance report on their website that came with the vehicle. This report was totally fake, which I think is against the law. It said that the transmission, oil, suspension, and other stuff had been recently serviced and that all parts of the truck were in satisfactory condition according to their inspection. But when my mechanic looked at the truck, they told me it has serious engine coolant problems, major oil leaks, a busted steering column, and the fluids hadn't been changed. There were also a bunch of other issues, like the suspension being garbage. And on top of that, I had to pay for new shocks, struts, and alignment, even though they were supposedly new and recently serviced. I want WWVA to cover the $7984 I had to spend to fix this truck and make it safe to drive. I tried contacting them through email and phone, but nobody has gotten back to me. This vehicle isn't safe to drive without these repairs, so it shouldn't have been sold as if it was in good condition. I want WWVA to help pay for these repairs. I know it's a used vehicle, but it's more like a lemon and a death trap than anything else.

I bought a *** Panel Truck on 2/9/2022 that was said to be restored. But, the steering shaft came apart and we had no steering! Luckily, it happened in the driveway and not on the road. Here are some issues I found with the truck:
1. Brake lines were put in the wrong way on the proportioning valve.
2. Bolts and nuts are missing from the front cross member.
3. Coil springs were cut and fall out of place when the truck is lifted. When it's lowered, the truck sits sideways until moved and then the coil springs bang back into place.
4. The frame was cut in the wrong spot to allow clearance for the tie rods.
5. The lug nuts on the front tires are different sizes.
6. The bolts for the upper control arm shaft are loose (watch the video).
7. The transmission is only held in place by one bolt and no nut.
8. The transmission is not aligned properly.
9. The transmission shifter bracket has no nuts on the bolts, making it hard to get into gear.
10. The fuel line from the gas tank to the carburetor is laying on the muffler.
11. The speedometer cable melted and is also laying on the muffler.
12. Both parking brake cables are cut.
13. The steering column is worn out and has excessive play in the bushings. The steering shaft fell apart and the wrong U joint was used.
14. The bolts holding the rack and pinion to the frame bottom out, so they can't be tightened all the way. The rack and pinion is loose.
15. There are no nuts on the engine mount bolts and the bolts are too small.
16. The engine mounts have incomplete welds.
17. The gas gauge doesn't work.
18. The alternator bracket is cracked.
19. The gas line is crimped by the carburetor.
20. The leaf springs on the passenger side are twisted and ready to pop out.
21. There are missing bolts on the leaf springs on the passenger side.
22. The lower shock mounts are put together in a makeshift way.
23. The lower mount is wrong on the leaf springs.
24. The door handle fell off on the inside.
25. The hood doesn't close correctly because the latch is bent.
26. The fender bolts are loose and they were just regular bolts from the hardware store (watch the video).

I bought an '81 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler a few weeks ago, knowing that pictures don't always show the true condition and that a 30-point inspection on an old car isn't worth much. I read all the reviews on ComplaintsBoard.com and ***, paying special attention to the 1-star reviews. I can't say what's true and what's not, but I understand where those negative reviews are coming from. I feel like I was tricked, and I've been through this kind of transaction before. I'm not a lawyer, but when you advertise something and your sales description mentions upgrades that would increase the price, but some of those upgrades don't actually exist, isn't that false advertising? I'm talking to you, Ryan, the used car salesman who wrote that my Scrambler has "*ARB Lockers (4.11 gears Red River auto G2 CM axles)". Anyone who knows about off-road accessories knows that this is a $5-6K upgrade. There are two toggle switches on the dashboard for this upgrade. You can see the description and pictures on their website under "sold". On another note, their 30-point inspection claimed that the added "Vintage Air" air conditioning was "operational". But when I started the engine, I could hear that it wasn't true (the AC compressor was making a loud chirping noise). The controls didn't work either, but at least it's there and I can fix it. I spent the amount I wanted on the car I wanted, with all the options I wanted. But they tricked me. I want $5K of my money back! This is the purest form of false advertising, all for a quick buck.

On August 23rd, I started a deal with WWVA to sell my *** Charger SE. The contract said it would last for 60 days, and I would get $27,000 when the car sells, minus the $350 Inspection fee and any shipping costs. They did the Safety Inspection on August 25th. Throughout the 60-day period, I stayed in touch with WWVA through phone and email to check on my car's status. On October 5th, I told them that I didn't want to extend the contract and would pick up the car instead. During that call, I asked the Consignment Manager (***) if there was any serious interest in my car. He said there was some interest, but they had trouble keeping it running during the viewing. I found that strange because it had never happened before. The Manager didn't mention any repairs during the call, let alone tell me they were already done. On October 25th, I emailed them again to confirm that I would pick up my car on November 1st. The Manager then sent me a bill that included the $350 Safety Inspection fee mentioned in the contract. But it also had an extra charge of $816 for 6.8 hours of labor at $120 per hour. Some of the work was done in August, and some in late September. According to the contract I signed with WWVA, line 20.) Service and Repairs says that all work needs my written approval before they can do it. But during the 60-day period, I never gave my consent, either verbally or in writing. In fact, I didn't even know about the work until I got the invoice for an extra $816. The contract clearly lists labor charges, but I think WWVA broke the contract by not following their own policy of communicating and getting consent for repairs. I called *** to talk about it, but he couldn't answer my questions and didn't seem willing to give me more information. So I ended the call.

They sold it to me without any dealer warranty, so I couldn't inspect the truck beforehand. I did see lots of pictures, but who knows if they were doctored or not. I paid in cash using a loan from Lightstream. It took around 2 weeks for the truck to be shipped to my place in Shreveport, Louisiana. I registered it in Louisiana. When I finally drove it for the first time to the mechanics to get a side step installed, it broke down after just one block. I had to get it towed to the mechanic. After inspecting it, they told me that the steering column was never extended and slipped out of place while driving. That's a really dangerous issue. I could have lost control of the truck on the highway and gotten seriously hurt. The licensed mechanic found even more serious problems upon further inspection. There's a crack in the motor block, and the transmission needs to be completely replaced. The mechanic said there was an insert in the motor to hold it together during transportation. So far, I've already spent at least $1500 on repairs, and that doesn't even include the cost of a new motor block and transmission. I don't have the money right now to fix all of these issues. The estimate for a new motor block and transmission for this year's truck could go up to $10,000. I basically bought a truck frame. WWVA is basically a scam. The website shows multiple pictures of the outside, inside, and engine, but those pictures could be of any truck. They make it look all shiny and beautiful, but I think it's all fake. Even if they consign the trucks, they should make sure they're running and safe. I don't think this truck would have passed a 30-point safety inspection. I'm demanding that WWVA pays for a new motor and transmission.

Two sales reps even said it was one of the nicest vehicles they had seen in a while. But that's not true. Here's why: #1) The car ran really bad. I had to hire a mechanic to come to my house and it cost me over $200. #2) Both front door windows didn't close all the way. There was a gap of 1/2 to 3/4 inches. The vent windows were also installed wrong and had to be fixed. It cost me $257.69 for parts and $450 for labor. #3) There was a dent on the hood. I had to pay $200 for a specialist to come and fix it. Now it needs to be painted to match the rest of the car. They said it could cost well over $500, maybe even more. #4) The vents on the floor inside were open and I couldn't close them. I can't find the parts to fix it. I don't know how much it will cost. #5) The back-up lights don't work, which is a safety issue. I'm having trouble finding the parts for them too. I don't know the cost. #6) The front lights and front-end were way off and needed to be aligned and adjusted. It cost me $271. #7) The transmission leaks. I haven't fixed it yet, so I don't know the cost. #8) There's no spare tire or jack in the trunk, even though it should have been included. I had to order a jack separately, but it's on back-order and costs $250. I don't know the cost of the spare tire.
