Zavvi is just not worth your time, folks. My first and last experience shopping with them left me feeling incredibly frustrated. I pre-ordered an item and it was a day late (other retailers have no problem delivering on time). To add insult to injury, I tried referring a friend using their scheme and the credit wasn't applied to my account. When I reached out to customer service, I got a copy and paste response telling me that they didn't have any promotions or offers - what a load of nonsense! It took a week of back and forth before I was finally told that my friend must have messed up the procedure for me to not receive the credit. As if entering a code is rocket science!
Aside from those issues, my general impression of Zavvi is that their customer service is subpar at best. It seems like they're just copying and pasting responses to try and make customers go away. I don't understand why people even bother shopping here. They really don't care about making sure pre-orders arrive on time or helping you out when things go wrong. Save yourself the hassle and shop somewhere else.
After expressing my frustration to them and asking them to delete my account, they simply sent me a generic response about closing my account. No apology, no attempt to make things right, no mention of why I was unhappy with my experience at all. It's obvious that they don't care about their customers. Been using zavvi for years now, and I have to say, it was all smooth sailing until I had to return an item. The horror stories I had heard about their customer service had never really affected me - until now. I had purchased a figure that unfortunately had a chip, so I duly returned it as per their instructions. However, things started to go awry from then on.
I received a returns label and even a tracking number for the returned item, but weeks had gone by and I still hadn't received any communication from them. I contacted them, and they said they would contact the warehouse and let me know what was up. Nothing came of it. I reached out to them a few more times, but they just kept giving me the runaround and blaming it on the warehouse. I couldn't wait any longer, it had been nearly three months, so I finally presented the tracking number - which they initially requested - as proof. They then contradicted themselves by claiming that I needed a receipt that I was never told to keep.
Sorry to say, but I had enough of this. I had to do a chargeback with my bank, which I'm hoping will get sorted out eventually. I loved getting steelbooks from them, but they've clearly lost a customer because of this terrible experience. DO NOT USE ZAVVI if you're going to return anything. They lose items, and they blame it on you. To make matters worse, the customer service is absolutely atrocious! I don't even think they're real people, to be honest. It's either people who can't think for themselves or robots just sending out the same messages over and over again.
If there's something you like on Zavvi, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Amazon or Zoom have similar items, and you can probably even find cheaper steelbooks on eBay. It's not worth the time, effort, and money to go through this. They clearly don't care about their customers, just their money. It's a shame because I used to be a loyal customer, but not anymore.

The ridiculous part is that their system successfully sent an auto-reply email, but when it came to the returns info or any other messages, I didn't get any response. When I asked for a supervisor to contact me by phone, I was left waiting endlessly. I even suggested a different email address to try, but to no avail. In the end, the only solution was to change my email address on my account - a hassle I didn't need.
After close to two months of trying to sort out my returns, I finally received the returns info. So, everything was sorted, right? Not even close. When I used their returns paperwork and free post labels, I never received the money back for the faulty item. I messaged them about it, and they asked for the returns info again - which I had sent a month and a half ago! I couldn't provide proof of postage at this point since I had gotten rid of it. However, I found the returns labels in my email and discovered the tracking number. I checked it and saw that they had signed for it only four days later. Yet, they still claimed that they hadn't received it.
One agent told me they needed to find the parcel in their warehouse, but I couldn't understand how that was my problem. I had already proven that the item had been sent back, and it was now their responsibility to issue a refund.
I even decided to leave a review elsewhere and received a response from Zavvi claiming that they were sorting out my refund. However, that never happened. I think they are nothing but fake con artists.
At this point, I am considering escalating this issue with Paypal and Trading Standards. I would recommend that others do the same to get their money back. My overall experience with Zavvi was a complete waste of time and money.
Zavvi Review: Worst Customer Service for US Customers, No Tracking Numbers, and Disappointing Delivery Times
Yo, let me tell you something about Zavvi. They're the worst company I've ever dealt with, straight up. I put in an order on December 10th, right? I was like, "I gotta get this by Christmas, so let me make sure to order early." They sent me a "thank you for your order" email that same day which was dope. Then, on December 11th, they sent me an email saying my order had been dispatched, with an estimated delivery of December 18th-25th. Now, I wasn't too hyped about that long ETA, but I figured, hey, it'll work.
Then, on December 18th, I checked my Zavvi account to see what was good with my order. And you know what? My order was still only processed. It hadn't even been shipped yet! So, I hit up Zavvi's live chat to see what was up. I talked to this one agent, and she straight up disconnected on me when I asked her why I got an email saying my order had been dispatched but it hadn't actually been shipped. Then, I tried to reconnect with her and she disconnected on me again! What kind of bogus customer service is that?
Finally, I got connected with another agent, and she was telling me that if you live in the US, Zavvi doesn't provide tracking numbers. And if there's an issue, they won't even look into it for 14 days!? That's insane. And get this, they use multiple carriers and can't even tell you who has your package. How are you gonna send out packages and not even know who has them?
But wait, it gets even better. When I checked out, there were no shipping options, only a charge for the shipping. But the agent told me that I would have been provided with a tracking number if "I didn't choose their cheapest shipping". Excuse me, what? I wasn't even given any options during checkout, all I saw was the shipping charge. And then when I pressed her on it, she got all mad and was like, "I gotta disconnect the call as per protocol". What kind of nonsense is that? I'm trying to get answers about my order and they're shutting me down?!
To sum it up, their service for US customers is whack. No tracking numbers, and if you ask questions about discrepancies with your order or how they ship, they'll shut you down and won't take any further questions. They act like you're wasting their time when all you're trying to do is get some answers about your order. Terrible, just terrible. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
Zavvi Threads Subscription Box Review: A Complete Disappointment and Waste of Money
I'm telling ya, I gave Zavvi a chance with their Threads subscription box and boy, was I disappointed. At first, I thought it was a great deal - a book and a shirt for only 5 quid. But things went downhill fast after that.
First off, Zavvi was billing me for a box that I wasn't even receiving for three whole months! That's not even legal in the EU, ya know. You can't charge someone for a product that hasn't even been shipped yet. When I finally complained, they sent me a poorly put together "Threads" box with only 3 out of the 5 comics promised and a shirt that looked like a monkey sewed it together. And boy, were there threads everywhere. The shirt was totally unwearable. I asked for a refund and to cancel my order, but Zavvi still hasn't given me my money back.
Then, to make matters worse, they started sending me the wrong items for the regular Threads box. I received the same book two months in a row and a shirt that was cut for men instead of women. I definitely didn't change my subscription, so I don't know what the heck was going on there. When I brought it up to their customer service, they were pretty useless. They promised to send me "another book" but didn't even offer to replace the shirt. And to top it off, they refused to give me a refund or cancel my order altogether.
I've had it up to here with Zavvi. The customer service was useless and couldn't even tell the difference between their own subscription services. They tried to tell me that I was getting boxes that I wasn't even signed up for. And when they did deliver something, it was sent to the wrong person! I can't even trust them to send me the right items anymore.
Do yourself a favor and avoid Zavvi subscriptions and boxes at all costs. There are better retailers out there that offer similar services for cheaper and with better quality.

They claimed to be investigating and aiming to deliver a resolution quickly, but I wasn't holding my breath. It seemed like they were giving me empty promises and stall tactics again.
I have had no contact from them unless I initiate it, and I feel like I have to file a claim against the company to get my money back. I advise anyone considering doing business with Zavvi to be wary. You might regret it if you do not. So I had a pretty lousy experience with Zavvi. Let me tell you all about it. So I'm browsing their website and I find a PS4 for ?180 that I just had to have. I placed the order and thought everything was good to go. But then, a couple of days later, I decide to check on the order's progress and BOOM! It's cancelled! No notification, no explanation, nothing. Naturally, I was ticked off, so I reached out to their customer service team, or lack thereof. Let me tell you, it was a nightmare.
First off, you can only contact them through an online form. And when they do respond, it's from a "do not reply" email address. No phone number, no live chat, nothing. Not only that, but each response comes separately, so you have to send multiple messages just to explain the situation. And here's the kicker: there's a limit to the number of characters you can use in the correspondence box, so forget about giving all the details of your complaint.
Eventually, I found out that my order was cancelled because I didn't "meet their security requirements." Whatever that means. I asked for clarification, but they never gave it to me. I suspect that they cancelled the order because they mistakenly priced the item and then used this as an excuse to bail on the sale. (The second time I checked, the price had jumped up to ?240.) They even asked me for proof of address just to place an order! Have you ever heard of such a thing? I sure haven't.
But what really got me riled up was that they completely ignored my questions. I even told them that in one of my messages, and they still didn't give me the answers I needed. However, come July 22nd, and still no word from them. So I sent them a message to check the status of my return. But they told me that they hadn't received anything from me yet. I thought this was strange, but I waited for another week before reaching out to them again. This time, they informed me that they received only one T-shirt from me, which was impossible since I sent ONE package with all seven T-shirts. It was clear to me that they made the other T-shirts disappear, instead of returning my ?73.43 total payment (including return postage) for all shirts as they should have.
I tried to get them to look into the issue, but it was like talking to a brick wall. They insisted they only received one T-shirt and refused to send me a picture of the package or investigate further. So I reported them to the online authorities and requested a refund from my bank. When I was inputting my card information, Google automatically changed the shipping address to somewhere else, making me enter the correct address was such a hassle, but I eventually got it right.
A minute later, I realized I put in the wrong address and wanted to edit the order. Unfortunately, I couldn't, and customer service was closed at that time.
So I sent them an email and waited anxiously for their reply. It took two days before anyone got back to me. Even then, it was "too late" to change anything.
I tried to talk to a manager or supervisor, and I had a great experience with Matthew. However, he worked for another business under the same company, and I was forwarded to a live chat.
Chatting online was more confusing than talking on the phone. I got my hopes up when the representative told me she would get everything resolved, but it turned out to be an empty promise. She couldn't even cancel the order or give me a refund. I was blamed for the mistake, which wasn't completely fair since I relied on their website to ship the gift.
It was just frustrating to find out that there was no real solution. Zavvi failed to take responsibility for their mistake, and I was left to deal with it myself.
After this experience, I am definitely not using their site again. Hoping I can still forward the gift in time for Christmas.

I am so disappointed with my experience with Zavvi. You see, on the 18th of August in 2016, I paid 21.41 Euro for a monthly subscription to the ZBox that my daughter was so keen on. Unfortunately, it's been a long and arduous journey since then.
On the 12th of September, I reached out to Zavvi to let them know that I hadn't received my order yet. I didn't hear back from them for ages, and then on the 23rd of September, they randomly charged me 23.79 Euro on my credit card. What on earth was that for, you ask? Trying to get in touch with customer service was absolute agony. I've probably sent them around ten messages by now, and each time I got a reply from a no-reply email address after a day. What's worse is that I had to log in to their website and message them every single time. It really felt like nobody actually cared about the issue I was having. To top it off, every time I got a reply, it seemed like a totally new sales representative with zero idea of what was going on, which didn't inspire any confidence in me.
I've asked Zavvi to cancel my monthly subscription and refund my money multiple times now, but they seem to have an arsenal of excuses ready to go. They even told me that the cancellation period wasn't open yet, whatever that even means. I subscribed to a monthly subscription, not an annual one, so what's the issue here? It really felt like they were giving me the runaround and trying to keep me stuck in their subscription cycle, despite the fact that I clearly didn't want to be there anymore.

Had the worst experience with zavvi.com! And boy, was it an awful experience.
I ordered a Christmas present for my nephew at the beginning of December and was promised multiple times that it would arrive before Christmas. However, to my dismay, they cancelled the order on the Eve of Christmas, citing they had no stock. Seriously, what kind of customer service is that?
After a month, they sent me an email apologizing and offering a 50% discount on clothing. I tried to use the voucher, but to my surprise, it couldn't be applied to existing offers. So, I bought a tee, which was part of their 2-for-?20 deal, and the print quality was kinda crap. It was like they printed it using a home printer and left the white t-shirt visible behind. Ya know what I mean?
Anyway, when I complained to their team, they agreed to a replacement and sent me a pre-paid label to send the t-shirt back. But, the new tee arrived, and it was no better than the first. I mean, the print quality was so shoddy.
I had to talk to them again, and they asked me for a proof of postage, implying that it was probably lost in the post. But the tracking clearly showed that they'd already received it. Anyway, they sent me another replacement, and guess what? The print quality was still appalling!
I had a serious chat with the customer service representative as I suspected that there might be something wrong with the batch or some quality control issue. But all they did was cancel the order and tell me to forget about it, instead of dealing with it properly. I mean, this is a SERIOUS issue; they are sending out faulty products to other people too!

I really hope that anyone who's reading these reviews and is planning to purchase from Zavvi thinks twice about it. Their customer service is completely automated, with no option to connect with a living, breathing human being either via email or over the phone.
I ordered a DVD box set from them on September 9th, 2015. Three weeks later on October 1st, I finally received the package. I must admit that I was relieved that they did deliver it, because the email that I received after I placed the order had stated that delivery could take up until October 8th.
Excited to finally have my hands on my purchase, I tried watching it right away but was met with an error code that said the DVD wouldn't work in my region. I had never heard of region codes before and so returned to the website to find how I could return the product. Following the instructions on the website, I sent off an email to the appropriate area and received a response that told me that region codes were apparent in the product details.
I failed to catch that and still believed that I should at least get some money back. After attempting to send another email, I started phoning but the calls were automated and just kept going around in circles. To make matters worse, the reply to my second email was word for word the exact same thing as the first. I ended up losing $130 on my purchase, and learned a lesson the hard way. Please heed my experience and avoid making the same mistake as me.
Zavvi Review: Limited Edition Figure Pre-Order Canceled & Refunded Without Proper Reasoning
So, I made an order from Zavvi (zavvi.com) a few months back for a couple of items. I got myself a pair of shoes and also preordered a limited edition figure. Those shoes turned up at my door quicker than I could drink a beer, and they were in some fine condition, no complaints there. But now, let's talk about the figure.
I was pretty excited to pre-order it, and I made sure to get in quick since I knew it would be a hot item. But, and here's where it gets messy, the release date got pushed back, and then pushed back again, and again, and then finally they said March 2023. I mean, what was the point of pre-ordering it? It could have just been a regular order at this point.
But things took a real dive when I received an email about a refund being issued on March 30th. I was expecting an update or something, but no, they told me they had cancelled and refunded my order for the figure. You know what the reason was? They said they couldn't find enough stock for it! Are you serious? You know how many people were after that figure? How could they not account for that and get enough stock?
I just feel so let down right now. I waited nearly a year for this figure, and all I got in return was a lazy excuse from Zavvi. Their customer service is non-existent, too. I tried to get some useful information from them, but nothing worked out. I'm starting to think this whole site is one big scam. Ordered FIFA 16 for Xbox One way back on 3rd September and was supposed to get it by 28th September at the latest, just 4 days after it came out. But nothing came, and when I asked about it I was told I had to wait another 14 workin' days! Can you believe that? Of course, even after 14 days still no game. So I got in touch with Zavvi through their website message thingy, which was a real pain in the rear end let me tell ya. And when I asked for a phone number to call, turns out they don't have one! Makes sense I suppose, they know they'd be swamped with angry customers calling to complain.
After hearing nothing back, I let Zavvi know I had to buy the game somewhere else and that I didn't want it from them anymore. But instead of just giving me a refund like any respectable company would do, they made me wait all the way until 21st October to finally get the game…that I didn't even want anymore! What kinda sense does that make? The whole experience was the worst I've ever had with online shopping and I can tell you right now, I'm never using Zavvi again. If you want to save yourself the trouble, just go to Amazon or ShopTo instead. They won't leave you hanging for over 27 days lemme tell ya.

I recently tried using zavvi.com and I gotta be honest with you, it wasn't a great experience. They say they won't charge you until they ship, but guess what? But they didn't want to play fair and asked me to send them all the information I had already sent them. And then, get this, they asked me for a picture of the shipping label! I mean, how could I possibly send them that when I never received the package in the first place? And even if they did send it, how would I even know what the shipping label looks like?
They claimed that they sent it without any tracking info, but I'm not sure if I believe that. In fact, I was starting to think they were just stalling me and waiting out the dispute period to avoid dealing with my case. I was finally able to request a chargeback from my credit card company, but then zavvi.com went and provided them with false information. They gave them tracking info for the small item, which weighed only a couple of pounds when the bigger one they probably never even sent weighed almost 20 pounds.
Can you believe they even deleted my online account so I couldn't access our customer service interactions? Luckily, I always save my emails and took screenshots just in case something like this happened. It's too bad that zavvi.com didn't bother to correct their errors and provide better service. For now, I'm still out $400. So word of advice? If you're looking to purchase something on zavvi.com, buyer beware!
Zavvi Site Review: Nightmare Shipping, Poor Customer Service & Frustrating Experience
So I decided to give this Zavvi site a try during the Christmas season, and boy did I regret it! I only ordered 4 blu rays on November 26, but little did I know that it would be a nightmare. 3 of the items arrived all on different days, with one even arriving past the estimated delivery date. And then comes the 4th item...it never arrived at all. So I reached out to customer service, and they tell me that I need to wait 30 whole days until December 27th! I mean, seriously? That's supposed to be their solution? I already waited a month, and now they want me to wait even longer?
But it doesn't stop there. Fast forward to December 30th, and I still haven't received the 4th item. So, I reached out to customer service yet again, and their solution was for me to upload a 'Non-Receipt of Goods' disclaimer form. At this point, I was beyond frustrated! I tried to upload the form several different times, but it simply would not work! I don't understand why I have to jump through hoops as a customer to get an item that I already paid for. It's Zavvi's job to fix my problem, not mine!
What really made this whole experience terrible is that I receive my items separately, all arriving on different days. I mean, come on Zavvi! As a company, this is just bad business. It's bad for the company's costs and bad for the customer's experience. I buy a lot of blu rays, and I've never had a problem with Amazon UK or Germany, even when buying overseas.
And to top it all off, this was a Black Friday purchase that was intended for Christmas gifts! I mean, as a seller, Zavvi has an obligation to make sure it gets to me in time for Christmas. But clearly, they dropped the ball on that one.
Overall, this was the worst experience I've ever had buying blu rays. Zavvi really needs to get their act together and fix their problems. As a customer, I demand better service and a better experience.
Unhelpful Customer Service and Order Cancellation Issues with Zavvi - A Disappointing Experience
I had a really bad experience shopping with Zavvi recently. I had placed an order for something I really wanted and I paid a total of ?261 for it on January 26th, 2023, but something went wrong and Zavvi cancelled my order on January 28th, 2023 without giving me any explanation. I was really disappointed and upset about it, so I tried contacting their customer service team for some answers.
Unfortunately, I found their customer service colleagues to be really unhelpful and they didn't seem to care about my problem at all. Every time I messaged them, they would just repeat the same thing about their refund procedure and tell me that it would take 3-5 working days for them to confirm the cancellation and another 5-7 working days for the refund to show up in my account. It was so frustrating and I felt like they just didn't care about me as a customer.
I kept messaging them every day, but they still didn't refund my money up to February 3rd. I even asked for their CEO's contact information, but they didn't seem to care about that either. I was really angry and I even threatened to publicly write reviews on Trustpilot, Twitter, and Facebook, but they still didn't care. It was a really shameful dealing and I couldn't believe they were treating their customers like that.
I really hope that Zavvi's CEO sees this review and processes my refund immediately. I also think that they need to re-train their staff on how to solve problems with customers and give them the respect they deserve. It's not right to keep someone's money improperly and play around with customers by explaining internal procedures. I believe that if Zavvi really cares about their customers, they will take this feedback seriously and make some changes.
Zavvi Review: Terrible Customer Service and Bait-and-switch Tactics
So, lemme tell you about my run-ins with Zavvi. Honestly, I thought their prices were pretty good at first, but after two terrible customer service experiences, I don't think it's worth the risk.
First off, there was this promotion they were running back in 2014 - spend some money and get a ten-pound voucher, sounds pretty sweet, right? Except the voucher they sent me was all kinds of messed up. It didn't work and I was just left hangin' when I tried to get some help. I sent them a message on March 11th, 2015 and it wasn't until April 15th that they said they'd send a new voucher. And guess what? Nine whole months went by and still nothing. Talk about bait and switch.
But that's not all, just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I tried to return an item I got because of some subscription mess-up. I sent it back and got confirmation they received it, and they said I'd get my refund in 3-5 working days. Except they didn't do it in time and I had to chase 'em down! It took 12 working days to get my refund, and that was only after I got on their case.
Suffice it to say, twice burned is enough for me. Zavvi's customer service is probably the most shambolic I've ever had, and I don't think it's worth the hassle.
False advertising: Zavvi's z box subscription scam & bad customer service
I ordered something called a z box from Zavvi, and it was supposed to come with a free gift. When I didn't receive the gift, I asked the people at Zavvi about it. They told me they weren't going to give me the gift because the offer wasn't available anymore. But I had put the gift in my shopping basket when I ordered the z box! The customer service was really bad and frustrating. I just gave up and didn't get the gift.
Then, some time went by, and I moved to a new house. Suddenly, I got a message from Royal Mail and an email saying I had a package from "the hut group" waiting for me. I thought it was a mistake because I hadn't ordered anything online and I didn't see a red card through the letter box. So, I ignored it. But then I got another email saying the item had been returned to sender. This happened to me two times until I figured out what was going on.
I looked up the hut group and found out they are linked to Zavvi. I logged into my account and realized they had been charging me for a subscription to the z box. But the thing is, I never ordered a subscription! I checked my order and all of my emails, and there was nothing about a subscription. There were no orders showing up either. The only way I found out was when I checked "my subscriptions." But how would anyone know to do that if they never got any written confirmation?
So, I contacted customer service and explained everything. I even had proof that the items had been returned. But they ignored everything I said and told me the information was on the website. They said if I wanted a refund, I would have to return the items. This is such a scam because they never told me about the subscription!
I'm really mad about this and I think it's outrageous. I wonder how many other people have been scammed like I was. I'm definitely going to report this to trading standards because this is not fair to customers.
Not received order and now struggling to get money back
Placed a pre-order which is supposed to guarantee you the product on 20/032021 with Zavvi for Hottoys figures. I paid off £500 long before the figure was released.
Figure was released Sept 2022, I started to chase Jan 23 and have continued to chase until they finally said on the 1st May it’s out of stock.
They asked if I wanted to wait or cancel and get a refund. I opted for a refund. I have been trying to get the product cancelled and funded since the 11th May. I have asked at least 4 times for a refund now and today 25th May I get a response from Customer Service we’re trying to get your package!
They’re hanging onto my £500 and I just want the product cancelled and money returned.

Worst shopping experience ever
Hey , your website selling the Lego product which totally not in stock , and customer services tell me 3 times that I need to wait from 17 Nov till 22 Nov till 24Nov and then till 02 December, this is a totally lie to the customer, pls everyone Avoid this Website !
Wrong size sent to me
Bought 2 pairs hi tops, size 8 they sent size 7 and then ask for a photo to prove they sent the wrong size, they then asked for them to be posted back to the uk, I spent $99 to send their mistake back to them and after repeated emails of asking for my postage to be returned it was refused...their mistake not mine..bad customer service and scamming company who rips of single parent families...all my correspondence has been printed out and will be passed on to the office of fair trading..I hope they get their just desserts for ripping of innocent people..

Zavvi Heroquest
Pre-ordered The new Heroquest mythic tier through Zavvi as it was the only U.K. company I selling the product. Pre-order was October 2020. Received an email stating that my item will be dispatched and be with me no later than 25 November 2021. Date came and we t so I raised a call and was told no later that 31st Dec. Again that date slipped and I raised another call and another. So here we are in August 2022 and still waiting for my order.
Desired outcome: I want Zavvi to give me an honest timeframe and if it’s unknown or too long then they need to provide funds under loss of bargain so I can get what I have missed out on

I ordered 5 x razor crest from zavvi on 27.9.20 on pre order
I have paid £1700 plus and they state it’s been dispatched and I have received nothing.
First they stated payment not received and I supplied proof of payment then they said it was warehouse issue.
I have lost count of the amount of chats via text with apologies saying it will be sorted and as yet I have no goods and I’m down so much money I don’t know what else to do.

Didn't dispatch item and won't issue a refund
I ordered an item 24 days ago. It was supposed to be delivered within 4-5 days. It didn't come, since then I have been trying to expedite and then cancel get a refund and all I get is utter rubbish. The company claims that it has been processed so can't be cancelled, but they have done this for ten days and it is still not marked as dispatched. I have requested the order cancelled and refunded but they just keep saying I will need to return it but they havent sent it.
How can a company take your money, not send the goods and then hold on to your cash. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
