Billing error dispute:
To Whom It May Concern:
I am disputing the final bill I received from Southwinds Point Apartment Homes, due to the bill does not reflect accurate information. My move out date is listed as 11/06/2023 and it should be 10/21/2023. The lease expiration date is listed as 09/21/2024 and it should be 10/21/2023. I was charged a late fee of $150.00, I do not owe this amount because my lease ended on 10/21/2023. Rent for $282.00, my lease ended on 10/21/2023. Early termination fee is not justified considering I turned in all the keys and two money orders totaling $1410.00 for the insufficient notice penalty charge at the end of my lease on 10/21/2023. Although, the leasing manager stated I was not charged for the month of November, my billing statement states that billing charges are for the dates of 11/01/2023-11/30/2023.
I have contacted the Property Manager for correction to my bill and she states she cannot provide a bill with the correct dates. Your assistance with getting a corrected bill would be greatly appreciated.
Reported to Better Business Bureau on November 12 - No response.
On November 29, Leasing Manager Karen Jones was unprofessional when asked if I could schedule an appointment to explain the discrepancies. She proceeded to say an addendum to the lease was available for me to read, then I asked if I could come in so that she could assist me with locating the information and then she hung up the phone.
