Sent me a defective engine.
The engine they sent me was defective. Had bad freeze plugs. Old timing chain guides. It wasn't tested as they claimed and advertised. Sent back parts not cleaned. The freeze plug leaked coolant into the oil. Had to tear down the engine and find the problems. Put new timing chain guides on and new freeze plugs. Don't buy anything from Accurate Engines, they want honor and stand behind their Engines. They will take your money but after they get it,your own your own when you have problems with them. Try to call them you will see. Don't go to sales just try to get someone on the phone. Sales will surely answer after they monitor your number.
Accurate Engines was supposed to rebuild my core. Engine a 4.6l Ford V8 and send it back to me. Within days of picking up my core the truck company called and said they have a engine delivery for. I knew right away it wasn't my original engine. Accurate Engines couldn't turn around the engine that fast. I called and they said my engine would tie up their bay to long. They took it upon themselves to make this decision. They sent me a different engine that wasn't tested it had old timing chain guides and old freeze plugs that leaked coolant into the oil. They sent me back dirty timing chain cover and oil pan od seals. Sent the wrong valve cover grommets, didn't send a new air intake gasket. My mechanic had to tear down the engine and find the problems. They want honor the warranty. They want answer emails or phone calls. Want respond to the BBB of Dormax,Michigan. You can see the old timing chainguides behind the factory wrap.

I have been paying insurance on a car i have not been able to drive while you are? your state has "federal laws" which protect me which I have now found out against people like you i have no problem with enforcing those laws > I am done!
Desired outcome: I want my engine repaired correctly sent back to me at the cost of Accurate Engines for the time and in-consideration this company has cost$ me.

History: add. 2016, act 430, eff. apr. 4, 2017
Due to fact no correspondence to me& disregarding my request which pertained to my car's engine over a course of several months you violated section {e}
Failed to provide services requested for the last year.
On Oct.5, 2021, I ordered thru the companies salesman, Ron, an engine to fit my 1999 Cadillac deville. On 11-06-21 they got $2295.00 from my bank account. Then again on 11-20-21 they got a payment of $2000.00 This should have paid for the engine. I used a debit card to pay for this. I have contacted Ron, Lanny, and Frank several times over the last year. All to no avail. I want either the engine as ordered, with the 100,000 mile/3 yr. warrenty, or a refund of my money. The invoice number I was given only two weeks ago over the phone is 53261.
Desired outcome: Deliver the engine, as promised, or refund my money.
Failed Product
Accurate Engines sold me a non-functioning engine on 2 February 2022 represented as professionally rebuilt engine. The engine may not have even been a rebuilt unit but rather a core deposit with major internal damage. There have been mistakes and confusion of the administration of this sale from the very beginning as this was intended to be a customer provided engine rebuild, but due to the incompetence and administrative failures of a number of their employees, this was ultimately handled as a replacement out of stock that has resulted in great confusion on their part, and serious extra costs on my part. (i.e. missing internal parts we had to buy and install, and the replacement of the crankshaft.) Their staff even scheduled a truck to pickup an engine from us that it had already previously picked up.
The engine that was shipped to us was professionally installed by qualified and experienced automotive repair professionals and in accordance with the terms and conditions expressed in the Accurate Engines warranty. This engine lasted for three miles of use when the timing failed, and this engine is now damaged beyond normal repair due to failure of internal parts and or workmanship.
These failures are fully and wholly the responsibility of Accurate Engines. We cannot do any further repairs on this engine as that will void the warranty, however it seems clear at this point that Accurate Engines does not now, nor has ever had any intention of making good on its promise to provide warranty service for the engines it sells.
Desired outcome: Full immediate refund of all costs and damages.

bad service
This has to be the worst experience I have had to date with a Company. They're crooks and they know it! I purchased an engine from them with a warranty. Needless to say the engine they sent was a lemon. I have incurred additional costs outside of the engine do to their negligence. The warranty states one you may return the engine at their costs. I only had the engine for a couple of months and sure enough, I had to send it back. I used an A+ Mechanic Shop to remove it to have it sent back.in the warranty it state they will have it back to you in 7 business days. It took 3 weeks the first time to send it back. Needless to say with less than 1500 miles since the first time I sent it to them 4 rocker arms broke.in the warranty it state they will pay for the labor @50.00 per hour if you have to have a mechanic take it out and put it back in. This time they have had the engine for over 8 weeks and they said the engine could not be repaired and was sending a new one. Well, they said that, because I raised concerns with the rockers cracking the block. I asked for them to send me pictures of the engine they are sending along with the check for the mechanic. They said it was not covered. WHAT? It states it clearly that they will pay for it to be reinstalled. They sold me a lemon engine... supposedly sending me a new one which I have yet to see pictures of and said they would have to determine what was wrong with the engine and would have to make an exception to pay for the motor to be reinstalled. Mind you, this will be the third time it has been installed. Now where in the warranty does it say they don't cover the costs. What they are trying to do is make it the fault of mine or my mechanic. Which you will find they have done this to many other people if you look at the complaints. I used a highly reputable Mechanic Shop with an A+ rating and they assured me the first engine was a lemon and was not tooled correctly and many other issues. The warranty explains it will cover the reinstallment, yet, they are doing everything in their power not to pay for it. They said they are investigating as to why the Rocker's broke. Well, because it wasn't tooled correctly. Now that the warranty is just about up they are dragging their feet in which most reputable Companies knowing they sold you a lemon engine would send you a new engine with a new warranty. They declined. Now, they are trying to avoid paying for the engine to be reinstalled when in fact the warranty guarantees it. These people are crooks. DO NOT BUY AN ENGINE FROM THEM! I have in all the emails in order to back up everything I am saying along with the warranty. It looks as though I will need to seen a consumer advocate group to handle this issue for me. The additional costs to me are towing and rental car expenses. Well over 1500.00 out of my pocket in addition to the lemon engine they sold me. They said they are sending me another rebuilt, what I am afraid of is they are rebuilding the same engine with a crack in the block since they will not send me pictures. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE CROOKS!

Failed to render legitimate business practice in processing warranty claim. Failed at communicating clear good faith intent with logical reasoning.
To anyone considering doing business with Accurate Engines...BUYER BEWARE!
I purchased a Chrysler 300 engine block from Accurate in late November 2013. The transaction went pretty smooth but later discovered an overcharge on my credit card. Billing errors happen, and no big problem, but it was very irritating having to repeatedly ask Accurate correct their billing mistake. The company eventually credited back funds after several emails a month later.
Besides the initial invoice issues, I was overall pretty satisfied with Accurate. The replacement engine was installed early 2014 after replacing most engine components for new factory parts. It was a perfect opportunity to do so with the block removed. The engine worked perfectly right up until the engine blew (without warning) on a hot August day. No way! Less than eight months engine life out of a $3100.00 rebuilt Accurate Engine, and not including a hefty bill from my local mechanic's labor. What a major inconvenience. I was furious but later calmed after hearing my mechanic determined the engine blew as a result of internal piston issues. Great! All vehicle maintenance intervals were met, mechanics found no issues with engine components on regularly scheduled maintenance inspections or at the time of failure, it would obviously appear as simply a bad motor covered under Accurate's engine warranty policy for sales under a year...right? WRONG!
After notifying Accurate and returning the motor, the warranty department quickly pointed out warranty exclusions to any heat damage to their engines. I explained the mechanic shop had found no evidence of cooling system malfunctions or failures related to primary engine failure itself. The mechanic who initially installed the engine, along with shop owner, both specifically stated, "engine failure had resulted from an internal piston malfunction causing catastrophic damage under normal operating conditions and no warning indicators had registered on the vehicle computer log prior to engine failure." Accurate acknowledged the circumstances of failure and would advise to full extent of cause after gathering more info during tear down.
I waited weeks for Accurate to inspect the motor and provide ANY status to my claim. After sending more emails, pleading for some kind of status update, I was finally told an update would be made available the following day...the day, nothing. Another week passes with no communication whatsoever. At this point I had enough! Accurate failed in providing any clarification as to the status of the warranty or show any good faith business intent. I made several attempts to respectfully request any form of information. I finally lost patience and emailed Accurate advising them if I didn't hear from someone by close of business I would pursue the matter legally. Accurate responds with: "OK, looks with everything that needs to be replaced the cost for correction will be 800+300 (shipping) = 1100.00. Do you want them to proceed to correct?
UNBELIEVABLE! It will be interesting to see how this is resolved in a court of law. I am left with no other choice but to pursue the matter legally.
Consumer's Desired Resolution:
Honor a fair and valid warranty claim that can be processed and supported with reputable mechanic inspection details, documentation and review. This is a clear case of Accurate Engine's product failing and their unwillingness to substantiate inspection findings in any reasonable manner completely contrary to the consumers testimony and documentation.

Company Contact
On behalf of Accurate Engines I would like to state that it is never our intent to not take care of our customers. In addition we do indeed honor our warranties when issues arise.
We have made many strides over the past 2 years to provide our customers with more information in relation to their engine or vehicle.
In addition we have added a whole additional staff to address our previous customer service issues due to our company growth.
We have also detailed our warranty in length and you can view this before any purchase on our website @ accurateengines.com
We exercise the same industry standards that other large engine re-manufacturers consistently use.
We strive to provide our customers with the best customer service that we can and continuously try to improve.
We also have an independent inspection service that operates nationwide who can verify causes of failure, we are happy to stand behind our product and have instituted the independent inspector in order to provide customers with a determination from an outside party not affiliated with our company.
While we do make mistakes on occasion many times in these cases we are not the installers and damage is caused upon installation. We understand that the customer may not understand all the technical aspects of an engine installation. Due to this we have made sure that we provide the installing mechanic with all our recommendations for installation in order to make it a smooth process.
Plenum re-use is a huge issue in our industry and a large portion of the warranty claims here at our facility, once again we have made sure to disclose this to all installing mechanics and we always recommend a NEW PLENUM, cleaning the plenum will not remove all the debris.
In regards to what we reimburse per hour for labor, this is stated in our warranty contract that is once again available for consumers online to read before purchase.
This labor rate is once again an industry standard and we use All-Data Hours to reimburse for the labor that we agree to. This is all included in the warranty we provide to our customers.
We disclose all of our policies on our website in regards to warranty, core charges and I have recently updated our refund policy on all our customer quotes.
Our goal is to as transparent as possible.
We as a company have been in business for over 30 years.
We produce roughly 1500 engines a year in addition to other work we perform.
You are welcome to contact us with any issues you may have at [protected]
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
OK if you are such a reputable company like you claim then why haven't you resolved the issues below? I received two of your engines and sent them both back and never received a refund plus you still had my core and no refund on it either. Sorry you're still the crooks you've always been.
Horrible Service and Product
Accurate Engines is THE worst company I have ever dealt with is any business category. We chose them because they gave us a cheap quote on a new engine, this is where the problems began. After the new engine was installed we stated having problems related with the engine, but since it was not part of what the actually replaced they were no help and said we...
