poor customer service
i received a post from your store, i applied for it via sms and received a call to complete the application, five days went by without any reply until i called them and was told that my application is pending, they said i should submit my bank statement or salary advice with a copy of my ID i emailed that but had no reply, i went to the nearest store to submit what was requested but no when i got there i had to complete another application form and answer the questions i was asked on the phone. I got a call from them but i couldnt talk because i was busy they asked me what time should they call to complete the application and i asked them to contact me after 17:00. Today its day 6 and still no answer from them.

I sent my brother to collect my lay by for me at Ackermans alberton and they took the money gave him a receipt stating that a Layby has been collected but no clothes given to him, cashier name is Andi, and the manager also denied the Layby to be given to my brother, they said he should come back with his I'd book, now hesitant own an I'd book as he's still waiting for it, so must I come back from Kzn!?, because I won't be back anytime soon.the staff assisting had no name tags including the manager.U know my Layby had expired but this is UNFAIR!
white velcro tackies
I bought white tackies for my six year old daughter at Ackermans Walker Drive Port Elizabeth on 22 July 2017. (Nr 13) Yesterday, 25 August 2017, when she came home one was broken irreparable. I took it back today but the manager told me it's wear and tear and that she can't replace it or give me a refund ...after one month?! Her other pair lasted six months. Surely it should last longer than one month?!

On the 4th of August, I went too Ackerman Forest Hill to buy clothes in cash as I usually do. I was approached by a consultant who always see me buying in cash and offer to open a store card for me. I submitted my application with all the documents. When I didn't get a feedback I want back to the store and I was told my application got lost.
They did an application over the phone and I was was told it declined because because of affordability. I called back to ask why can't I afford their Card since I'm earning enough, having no other credit anywhere and found out that the information was incorrect. They told me the application has been finalised with that wrong information and decline so they won't be able to do it again. Unfortunate that declined information affected my credibility and my credit score.
Do they mean that the clients have to suffer because of their consultants ignorance. I'm really furious because I didn't even want the card but now I have incorrect information affecting my name. I need this rectified. I have so many things riding on my credibility.

balance enquiry
I phoned ackermans cradock 15-08-17 for a balance check on my account. The first person who answered wanted the 1st four nrs of the card so I said im gonna phone back cause I dont have the card on me. As she wanted to help me. I phoned for the 2nd time with the card nr and I asked if the lady who answered the phone could plz assist me with a balance enquire suprisingly she answered 'no'... I said "the lady who assisted me now wanted to help me she answered"no"again. I asked now cant you just take the card nr or id nr to help me then she said"no" again.
This is unacceptable, and they are rude! And they were no help!
Cant believe that theres such people working there very dissapointed.
bad attitude
I went to lay-bye few items during my lunch hour today and on the till I met up with a Vuyani who was the cashier, he looked at me as though I just stepped on his toes and surely expected a 'hi' from me which I didnt even have because of the trail of his bad attitude he always portrays. I immediately told him lay-bye as I put the clothes on the counter. He then asked if I had the ID with me and I told him No. Since he had that bad mask already portrait on his face, told me he cannot do a lay-bye without an ID, I then told him I've done it several times without an ID as I had stuff lay-byed at the time. This is the funny part-he leaned against the counter and kept quite for a while (as though he waited for me to beg him) and so I did the same and just looked at him. On realising that I was not going to beg him to do that sale he then told me with the same bad attitude that its their process which I acknowlegde but the manner he translated their processes was as though I work for ackermans and should know their processes off by heart. Can this be translated to Vuyani... I dont go around carrying a dompass and shopping is sometimes at an impulse. If I see something and I like it... I wont wait for his permission to buy it and im an ackermans customer not Vuyani's and will go in and out that store as I please unless there's been an instruction that reads right of admission reserved on my face everytime I enter the store. Ke kgathetse ke his bad attitude and I have many more of his stories to tell... like closing the drawer/till as I was next without even communicating this and I heard from his colleague that he was on lunch and according to my knowledge he would have just simply said... ausi o on the till will serve you next. And the other day hahaha I went in and asked about the wed-wed special, the winter ladies boots were on special and had a red sticker on them and the price was not so clear... when I asked him whats the price on them he got agitated (he is not a too many words typa person but you could read his face expression) and told me there's a price on the red sticker... I laughed, reached for the boots and asked whats written there.in short I have been very patient and hoped for a different experience everytime but it clearly means the guy has me wrapped around his little attitude and will treat me like this everytime I get in that store and im not happy with the treatment. I walked into Ackermans at the Blaauw Centre in Pretoria North to buy my son some sneakers and activate the card they sent me. There was no other customers in the store and 5 employees that I could see.. When I got to the counter there was a lady busy loading stock on the system and I was told someone else would help me. The other person came to the counter (a man) and I started to talk to him at which point he started talking over my head to an employee behind me. He then proceeded to walk off to hang clothes on the shelf leaving me at the counter unattended. I stood there for several minutes while the employees had a conversation around me ignoring me so I left the store.

Good day
I would like to launch a complaint re the staaf of Stellenbosch eiekestad Mall branch . I honed in 03/082017 at 13.30 regarding my sons Tablet that i took back to the store on Sunday because it is not working anymore, needless to say that the product has not even been used alot .
When I phoned in today and my call was answered by someone gigling and talking to a fellow member I had to repeat myself four times . He then said that his college was tickling him so he could not hear what I said . I asked for the manager, who is known as Lizl . I asked her if my Tablet has been collected yet as I was promised by elvizo the staff on Sunday 30/07/2017 that Vodacom will collect the phone the Monday . The phone now is still at the store and has not been collected yet.
This has been such a terrible experience and I will not be going to the store again.
Also the Tablet was bought in December 2016 for my sons Christmas present, he has not used it as he only watch a movie or play a toddler game on it . Please assist with this matter as I actually love the store and wouldn't want this experience to leave a sour taste in my month .

I had paid my outstand balance at Ackermans store in katlehong my account was in arrears for a long time cover was cancelled and after paying I was left with a balance of 0.61 I was surprise to get a statement on the 30/06/17 stating that I had to pay R85 I called head their offices then tenacity instructed me to fill a dispute form I did they said they will investigate but on the 19th of 07/17 I received a statement with a payment of R225/285 that I must paid at the end of the month why are they still sending me statement and who made payment on behalf of me I was told that 2 purchased were made 1 costing 1299 and 359 on the same day as if I was buying groceries im tired of Ackermans customer services at first I bought a broken brand new phone Queenstown it took me month to be fixed they ended up saying I must choose a new phone of which is was not my choice now this no don't suck money of the poor

Me, my mother and 2 youngchildren were shopping for clothes on 2017-07-10 around 16:00. Ackermanns in Highveld Mall. Me and my chilleft the store to go to the restrooms. As we returned, my children were calling"ouma" as we were looking for her. She was at the pay point. As we progressed to the paypoint a young man dressed in black approached my shopping trolley and put his hand in my 4 year old son's face saying "Behave!" I was very upset that this unknown man think he has a right to discipline my children. We didn't see that he was on the phone. If he asked mannerly I would've move my children away. I asked for the manager where she apologised on his behalf. He called the manager himself and even wrote his name on a piece of paper when I asked his name. His attitude was arrogant throughout the whole ordeal. Not once did he apologised. His name is Sbongiseni Mtshali ( canvasser ). That is what he wrote on the paper.
Normally I am happy with Ackermanns' service and quality products. However I will not visit a store were there is a chance that my child/ren will get assaulted or scolded by a young employee.
I am sure the whole ordeal is on tge store's cctv camera. A week ago I phoned customer service where I was advised by Kefuoe yo email my complaint to [protected]@tenacityinc.co.za.
Up until now I received no response.
I would like some feedback on the steps taken to redress this situation, please.

sunday 9 july i applied for an account. but till today no one called me. friday i was at the store in the waterfont in bloemfontein, the lady did call them but still no on came back to me. i called several times but the put me through because my account is pending. but i hold on for more than 16 min. i can not hold on so long.

poor quality
I am very disappointed in Ackermans quality of their clothing. Buying clothes is already expensive and then buying for twins even more. They can wear the tracksuits maybe twice then it looks horrible with all the fluffs. After one wash it looks like the clothing has been worn for 2 years.
Think this was my last shopping at Ackermans. Your prices had increased but looks like your quality has decreased!

I sent my brother to collect my laybye at centurion mall. He want there with my slip and ID. They could not help him. And is not the first time I have ask someone to collect my laybye and they always go with my ID and slip. But today they want two IDs. I called them and ask if they can't help me cause, we currently staying in Durban and my due date is near. The lady at laybye department refused and I was told that "it's a problem shame".

I ask settlement from cashier by the name of tiny, she gave balance i paid it then after she said i owe r1 i never ask where does R 1 came, i gave r100 to off the unknown R100 because was the only money i had. Tiny started shouting asking me where is she gonna get a chance i will wait until the close up the because of R100 i ask someone to give me 1 the person gave me R50 she said still she shouted at me as I am a child infront of the customers . I just kept quiet .she said i got mindset of customers is always right just because of her mistakes
buying a sim card at ackerman's.. what a shock
I'm shocked for days...I had to even walk away before I called a manager to clarify this for me, I walked in Ackerman's at campus squarr to buy a sim card carrying my original utility bill and id to buy just a sim card to be told by sizakele that she can't help me cause I need bank statement, what a shock it was that I had to ask countless time that do I really need bank statement even if I have proof of address, with the attitude replying yes I was shocked, the very same shop I bought sim card no so long ago changed their Rica rule which was the first time I hear this...I'm not buying a contract phone but a sim card... Unbelievable

refund problem
I purchased an item form the store closely allocated to where I stay, last week. Without fitting it on in store. I came home fitted it on and unfortunately it was a bit too tight. The weekend past and I have time today to take it back for a refund. Firstly when I waited for assistance I got my turn to be helped, I had my packet with the item and the lady just stared at me without greeting, I greeted her and told her what is going on...she just glared at me asking where is the slip. I looked at her confused telling her it is in the bag, she took it out the bag and said "where's the card"? I asked her what card? She looked at me without a response and I asked her do you need my card that I bought the item with. She replied, yes. I went to my car to fetch it. I opened my wallet and my card was not there I forgot that over the weekend when my one friend from Limpopo came to visit I gave her my card when we went in to town for me not to carry my wallet and bag - she left with my card and I had to cancel my card on Monday to get a new one. Yet again she looked at me with a attitude not saying anything. I then said to her if you dont believe me I can show you my text messaging log that it really is so. She left me standing by the till yet again not saying anything and left. She came back saying that her manager said he cant refund me because they need the card, they can only give me a voucher or exchange. I dont want a voucher and I dont want a exchange...I asked to speak to the manager and she said he is busy. She then spoke to her college in their own language and all I could hear them saying he is busy...I find that very rude! I asked again can't I speak to him to hear from him why I cant get a refund. The cashier had a bad attitude and the way she was talking to me was honestly not a pleasure. I am the customer supporting my town where I could drive a few metres away for another retail store!
And what gets to me is that just the other day the store was closed because of staff training, and that's what I get as a customer not too long after training.
I am sitting with the item now that I just wanted a refund for.
I do not appreciate the customer service and all I want is to get a refund, not a bad attitude that will keep me away from the store.

I am a new client to Ackermans Stores and I am already fed up with their services, I keep on doing the same crap over and over.
They first sent you an SMS stating that your account has been approved but when you go to the store to collect your card it's a different story.
I went there three flipping times just to get the damn card, further more I linked my wife to my card and I get an SMS notification saying she could go to any store to collect her card but on her arrival she is told that I have to be in store with her, I mean why the hell would you send me the DAMN SMS IF SHE CANNOT ACTIVATE HER CARD HERSELF?
I hate this CRAP SERVICE THAT YOU ARE PROVIDING US.
