Cancelled subscription still been charged
I joined Affinity October 22. I barely set up my profile and never used the site.
I cancelled my subscription. Yet I am still been charged.
I cannot log in as the account has been cancelled/ deleted.
I would like the subscription to end and not automatically renew. And a refund if possible.

I joined on the 18 May 2023 and cancelled the same day including the Subscription After checking my statement I find Affiny have taken 2 payments of £14.99 on the 22nd of May & June for a service which I cancelled and they are not supplying ,this is taken money for nothing I feel I have been cheated .

No process in place to make a complaint. Apparently the website is part of Match.com. However they don't have a formal complaint making system. Or at least, if there was a complaint making procedure, it was not easy to find if it did exist. I could not find it.
So I decided to post a review about these people on Trustpilot. This was done on 1st July 2022. Affiny replied to my Trustpilot review on 23 March 2023. Trustpilot has many poor reviews on this website. Although my review was short and to the point, I did not expect a response, because no-one else there appeared to have a response. However, to my utter surprise this response did come. Albeit months later.
Serious concerns over Affiny.
Took almost 12 months to respond to a Trustpilot review.
Totally unacceptable.
Yet they took money freely from me for a service which I don't even believe was 'fit for purpose'. I believe this website to be scamming.

unable to delete profile/cancel
As I've seen from other people, its impossible to delete your profile!
I completed a questionnaire which I thought was for Ourtime. Before I know it I have signed up and a new profile has been generated for me. I do not want this account and I do not want my profile or photos used by this site, who I gave no permission to.
Now being swamped by unwanted email and appears to be nothing I can do to remove my details..

I have signed up back in 2020 and used it for 1 month, I would have paid probably under £30 to try it, would notnhave paid more that's for sure...
I have not used log in and have never visited that site since then, never sent messages etc since 2020. So basically 3 years almost
Then surprise I see in May 2022 and September 5th 2022 I got charged £74.97
I was chocked, so called the bank
They cancelled the card and gave me new one, I am sure there was no direct debit in place as I never signed for anything.
I am writing this compain to get full refund from this Affiny website, that is disgraceful.

Affiny dating
I am being incorrectly charged £14.99 per month for a service I have not used for some months now. I was a member of OurTime which I successfully terminated a few months ago and Affiny should have stopped at the same time. Indeed, if I try to log in to Affiny to try and make doubly sure that whatever tick is required in whatever box, it no longer recognises my email address and does not send me a link to update my password.
They are charging me for a profile that no longer exists and for a service that is not being used.
Desired outcome: In an ideal world, they will refund me for the last three months of non-usage but the most important thing is for them to stop billing me immediately.
Direct Debit
Hi,
I have had 5 Direct Debits for the sum of £14.99 coming out of my account on 14/03/22, 12/04/22, 12/05/22, 21/05/22 and 15/05/22 I have not given my permission for Affiny.co.uk / MatchAffinity to take these payments.
I may have signed up for a free trial but I did not agree to a subscription with the company. I have not received any e-mails from Match Affinity.

Affiny - automatically signed me up for affiny without my agreement.
I registered my profile to use on Ourtime, however for some reason it automatically added my profile to Affiny (never heard of it) without my agreement. Affiny HELP states I just need to login to my account to delete it but I don't have an account! This feels like a scam and I am very disturbed by this.
Whether or not Affiny is a parent company it needs to be clear on the Ourtime website and elsewhere that my profile is going to be passed on the them.
By the way the email I received from Affiny has a grammatical error/typo in the first sentence - which makes me wonder who is in control here.

Dishonest information about location. Many times to get interest.
I joined Affiny in January 2022 for 3 months.
A lot of the time alerts that come via email say that someone is near to you, same area.
When you go onto the site, they are actually not from your area.
It’s impossible to get on line help with any problem.
I cancelled my auto renew to not go on past 3 months. My membership ended.
I then got interest from more than one person locally, I waited for the reduction in offer for subscription became available then thought I’d try for a month only, and possibly link up with someone, you never know.
So I did, and the interest STATED was from Exeter , was actually from Scotland. Affiny site lies to get customers interest. It’s appalling. Worst site ever.
Someone I chatted to said my alerts via her email put me in three different locations . Financial Exploitation !

Be careful with this dating "add-on" to Match.
They lock you in to 6 months "contract" which you cannot get out of (after first 14 days cooling off period).
After a month I have not found any use for the site and have suggested they improve the mobile experience increasing the size of photos on profile (currently VERY small)
I echo the other complaints, and am not impressed by their money grabbing. You should be able to cancel subscription during the six months without having to pay the whole 6 months. What happens if you found your perfect match in the second month?

I was signing back up for Match and ended up being duped into their associated account through a questionnaire. I do not want too be on this sight, I just want to be on Match. I do not want a subscription for both, this is very misleading. I want to cancel, it has been less than 24 hours so there should be no reason why I can't be refunded so I can subscribe again with Match.

Unsubscribe cancel payment
I am told to log in via the website to cancel my subscription or unsubscribe, every link or email address I enter, or link I block takes me to the app, phone or lap top site. This then tells me again to link in via pc.
I am fed up with this cycle & will complain to my bank next.
I have been trying to unsubscribe, cancel, leave for 3 weeks.

I joined affiny online on the 2nd of April 2022 in the afternoon. The website is very poorly designed and I found that I could not receive messages properly or navigate the website effectively. The matches they were sending me within the first few hours were completely inappropriate e.g. hundreds of miles away. I also tried to cancel my subscription straightaway and I was unable to. Please can you cancel my initial payment, refund me and cancel my membership - the site doesn’t make sense and is hard work. Also misleading as it presents as being part of match.com when it isn’t. The links that the site directs you to to cancel your membership do not work and the links to contact the company don’t work either. I have tried these and failed.
Desired outcome: Full refund for everything I’ve paid on Saturday and cancellation of my membership and removal of my profile.

I filled in the affiny questionnaire through Match, thinking it was part of Match.
I have deleted my Match account and want to delete this Affiny profile.
I can access the affiny profile if I go through the emails on my phone but not if I go through them on my laptop. When I try to delete my account through my phone it says I have to log on to a computer. When I try to log in on my laptop and ask it to change my password, it says that I do not have an account related to that email address. I am receiving emails saying that men are liking my profile and so obviously have an account.
I am very frustrated by this process and would just like my account deleted

I linked in with affiny using match not realising it is 2 different things. I can't delete my profile from a phone and can't from my laptop as is a work laptop therefore restricted access to some sites. This is ridiculous . You have to make this easier for people. I have been duped and all this info about me is out there, not on match as I thought it was linked or the same...and can't do anything about it!
Desired outcome: DELETE MY ACCOUNT and make sure people can delete using their mobile.

I cancelled my subscription in August since then you have taken another payment of £19.99 on 6th September. I do not even have a profile anymore for this website (Affiny.co.uk) anymore. I have only just noticed that there has been large amounts of money coming out of my bank account for this site that I have never heard of or used and I want to get a stop put on this ASAP and my money back as I have not authorised this transactions, and when I try finding a contract number there doesn't seem to be one. If this carries on and I do not hear from you I will take this further and report you for theft
