payment receipt
I have not yet received the payment receipt from Airtel. I paid rs. 6939 cash to Mr. Mukesh Sharma at Ahmedabad Gujarat. His mobile no is [protected]. We have called him several times and have demanded for the receipt but he always runs around the bush. On the top of it he got angry like anything and said"Mai kya aap ke paise leke bhag jane wala hu." I request airtel to take immediate action on this issue and train its executives how to talk with clients. Mr. Mukesh gave several calls before i paid the money but vanished immediately after that. I had to call him and airtel several times to get my connection done. My details are as follows: Name Harjit Bagga, M: [protected]. Got airtel broadband connection on 11-04-11. PCAF NO: RSA87804.

disgrace to get new airtel broadband connection
I am terribly upset and shocked ! I applied for Airtel broadband (Application number: TBLR230493) on 28th of March 2011. Guy named Santosh (Cell ph no: [protected]) came to my house, took documents along with cheque of Rs. 1100/- and promised to give connection between max. 3 working days. I waited for 4 (not just 3) working days and called him up. He appologized and said that there is some connectivity issue in my area and giving connection will take time! To my horror, the cheque was encashed on 2nd april 2011. I called up again, saying why was the cheque encashed if connectivity is not being given. The reply that i received is that connection shall be given but it will take time ! I logged complaint with Airtel (Complaint no : [protected]), was told that the problem shall be resolved withing 8th April else money shall be refunded. NOTHING HAPPENED! I called up AGAIN, escalated the matter to so-called supervisor Mr. Praveen (cell number : [protected]), who in return appologized and promised again to work on it! Needless to say nothing happened again! I called up Airtel again and another complaint was logged (Complaint no: [protected]) assuring a solution! I am shocked at this mockery made out of customers by Bharati Airtel !
Is this how we should be treated for trusting a Brand? This is a Sheer DISGRACE! I dont need ANYMORE appologies, I need a SOLUTION!

Dear Rakesh,
Yes, I have recieved a refund cheque of the amount deducted deliberately. However, this whole process of follow ups / wrong communication by support team / waiting time period has left a bitter note in my mind.
I shall think thrice to take any services of Airtel, for now on!
Thanks for your support though!

Dear Rakesh,
This is so upseting that even today till date I am awaiting for a refund ! How many more days do you require? To add on to the comedy; there is already an Airtel broadband conection in my appartment being used since 1 year.. Still I was given stories about connectivity problem!
1. I wasn't given a connection at all and was made to believe some snowballing story!
2. Cheque was encashed immediately w/o giving the services
3. Its been a month and I still have no idea of what's happening!
Is Customer Service team at Airtel so not bothered? Or is it a deliberate effort to harrass?
Do I hear a solution or should I loose even a slight hope left?
Medha
I am awaiting!

fraud
Dear sir,
Dut to the third class service provided by airtel I have just appied for number portability.Instead of repeatedly telling your customer care about balance deduction from last three months there is no action taken . and balance deduction is continously done by airtel in the name of games, model wap and all that type of stuff. And the response from your customer care is that you have clicked on the link and thats why your balance has been deducted. and we will not give th refund.
Ok but as soon as i have registered for MNP There is a call from your customer that they are ready to give refund.and after giving refund the same procedure is repeated. And the people which u have appointed as a customer care behaves like they are superiorand disconnects the phone.they doesnt care whether the customer will go or not.
if you think by doing advertisement with film stars company business will grow then your are wrong .First improve your service and then only you can go ahead.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
My mobile No id [protected] (Post paid) I have been a good customer of Airtel postpaid service for more than 2f year. But in return , I have got such a bad service that I don't have words to say nothing bout it.
3 Months Ago I have received a Offer card from Airtel for Free Postpaid Connection. After SMS to 200 one Executive Sovonjit Ghosh( [protected]) from Bharti Airtel Services Limited Kolkata came to Me and collected all my documents ( Pan card Xerox, Voter ID xerox , Original Last month Bill & Original Offer Card) and gave me a sim card ( [protected]).
After 2 Days he said me that there was a confusion because there is a Unpaid amount of Rs.4000/- in another no.( didn’t inform to me) in my name opened previously by my PAN but not in my address .
I repeatedly requested him to give me the details of the above but he didn't give any thing to me and I also requested him to return my documents whatever I handover and take the sim card what he has given to me but no reply I have got from him. So Many times I called to Customer care but they cannot give me proper answer.
How Airtel can run a such a big organizations with ppl of such questionable integrity? Airtel authorized center send fake representatives with the whole intention of trapping the customers!
Now there is no proper solution given from the Airtel side as to where exactly they have created a problem
Now MY Faith on AIRTEL also now going down because every one can do any thing with my papers

When i recharge my phone with free SMS recharge card and whenever i send messages to my friends... for example if i send message to 30 friends at one time then it will cut 90 messages for that.. if you send 20 then it will show that you have send 50 messages... it has happened many times.. Airtel cheats with it's customers.. it also sets callertunes without confirmation.. even if you have just called once on their callertune number.. they send me message after 1 day that they have set my callertune as XYZ song and charged me 45 rupees for the same.
Thank you for choosing Health Alerts. You Will now receive update on Health Alerts. You have been charged Rs. 10 for 10 days.To Stop dial *646*942#.
This was one message and I was charged Rs. 10.0n 13/8/2010. I did not subscribe to this service.
Airtel talkies service will be renewed in next 2 days. You will be charged Rs.30 for 4 movies for 30 days. enjoy your favorite movies. To deactivate call 510100.
This was another message and I was charged Rs. 30.0n 06/8/2010. I did not subscribe to this service also.
After arguments with the Customercare@airtell got the Rs. 10 refunded, but my call was charged Rs 1.50 for no fault of mine.
I could not contact 50100 till today, even after trying hundred times.
Can you penalise the company for such cheating and get me the money back along with Rs 1.50 charged for their own cheating system?
Ther may be thousands of people beeing cheated without beeing noticed.

I have never subscibed for the bigfatfreestore. i called 121 more than 10 times and asked them to deactive but no one cares. im really angry with airtel. around 50rs were deducted from my balance even though i never subscribed to that stupid service. my number is [protected]. if this problem is not removed in a week im going change my mobile carrier.
AIRTEL IS A CHEATING FRAUD COMPANY. IT IS LIKE BEGGING CUSTOMERS FORCIBLY, I AM a Prepaid user, and with out my notice, i was subscribed to Airtel Radio, and my amount got deducting automatically, so i called the customer care after a long struggle with IVRS options, press 1, press2...press 0 etc, Eureka i got a link to cutomer care after pressing 9, thank god, when i asked them what is Airtel Radio, they said it is a radio for which you should pay and you subscribed to it. i said why the fcuk should i subscribe to paid radio when i can get a bunch of radio station s for free...I started to argue with them and told to take my complaint, and return my deducted amount.after a long struggle i received my amount balance back. this Scene has repaeated TWO TIMES, and the fcuk the CUSTOMER CARE is a PAID Service charging 50ps/3 minutes, then why dont they give a direct calling customer care number, i have to listen to all the options on voice respnse sytem, patiently waiting for the word PRESS 9 for customer care..oh GOD ...Its really good to Cancel my number and Take some IDEA or DOCOMO.. The TRUTH is AIRTEL doesnt like 1ps/1sec, because it is Reducing its profit..AIRTEL IS CRYING with 1ps/1 sec plan and somehow wants to get its profit back, so They are using CHEAP TRICKS like AIRTEL RADIO, CALLER TUNE, 50 ps for calling CUSTOMER CARE, RC 27 recharge for getting 1ps/1sec offer for 6 months etc, THis is only for Prepaid users ROBBERY, GOVT or TRAI should take serious action on this issue. 20 crores of Airtel users with only one rupee each day, brings 29 crore rupees profit/day to AIRTEL.Easy way of White Collar crimes..
Airtel should be declared as the biggest fraud company! I swear the BIGGEST FRAUD COMPANY!
Their name game competition where we, the common people were asked to suggest a name for their new symbol. In their Terms and Conditions page they have put the valid period of the competition as:
Valid Period: From 17th Feb 2011 00:00:01 AM till March 15th 2011 11:59:59 PM.
April is about to get over now and they have not even yet got the time to declare the results of the competition!
Airtel has contradicted itself. When the contest was running their T&C’s stated that the entries had to be ORIGINAL, IMAGINATIVE AND FREE OF TRADEMARK HASSLES…Basically, the idea was to coin new names or tinker with existing words to produce new ones that would fit the symbol. There was absolutely no need of a contest for names like curve, hug and wave. They are neither original nor imaginative. All the people in Airtel, controlling this lame marketing gimmick, by doing this you are simply losing trust and respect from your customers.
And moreover, to select the best name out of these 3 names, they require time which does not seem to get over at all!
Wow Airtel wow! Your company does not deserve to be called "Bharti" Airtel. Please get the "Bharti" out of the company's name. You have fooled the Indians completely!
fraudulent balance deduction
Hi,
This complaint is on behalf of my mother (Mrs. Rani Rai), who has an airtel connection, numbered [protected]. It has come to her notice that airtel has been unnecessarily deducting and over-charging her for calls made from her number. For instance, on April 1 2011, she noted that she had a Rs.20/- balance on her phone. After a couple of hours, when she tried to make a call (she had not received/made any calls during that time), she heard a recorded message informing her that there was no balance. On another occasion, she made a test-call to investigate this, and noticed that for a local call that lasted a couple of seconds, she was being charged Rs.3.00 as against a normal charge of Rs.0.50/- She even brought this to the notice of the customer care people, who assured her this would not happen again. However, she has noticed that this has not stopped. On browsing through this complaint board, I noticed one Mr.Swapnil Deshpande had also recently brought to notice a complaint of a similar nature. Does this mean Airtel is defrauding it's customers? I demand a quick redressal of my grievance, and urge airtel executives to look closely into this matter. Being an IT auditor, to me this seems to be a matter of grave concern and indicates corporate fraud. I shall pursue this severely if it's not heeded.
Thanks!
Pragathi Rai
Hi Rakesh,
Am very sorry, but your company has disappointed me again. There was another case of fraudulent balance deduction on my mom's phone. This happened on the 3rd of May. She had a balance of Rs.9/- and the next time she checked, they had deducted the entire amount leaving her with no balance at all. Also, she just realized this morning that your company has simply assigned a caller tune to her phone when she had never subscribed to the service at all. We are seriously considering dragging you'll to consumer court given the sheer number of instances of complaints of a similar nature against Airtel. You simply cannot get away with stealing our money like this. Could you please look into the matter? The last time you said it was resolved, I simply could not figure out how you resolved the matter. Do you think you can take us consumers for a ride like this?
The airtel number in question is [protected].
Thanks,
Pragathi
Dear AIRTEL,
I''m Dr Ch.Ravinder -my airtel mob no.is [protected].This is of RAJASTHAN AIRTEL.When I came on transfer to MUMBAI I got my mobile recharged with Rs.200/-and surprisingly, I got successful talktime of Rs.1 only? This is really corporate fraud and customer dissatisfaction. Moreover, I have approached many times to stop my 55382 the ckt news service, but shamelessly they are sending same 55382 late ckt news and proudly they are messaging that service is renewed and deducting the charges without my consent.Really this is thinkable matter and needs attention of every airtel customer for such a fraud service and minting money from lacs of customers and gaining crores of rupees.I'll certainly approach consumer forum if my complaint is not resolved within 24 hours.

lost sim
I lost my mobile along with my sim card. I called airtel customer care and blocked the sim for time being. I tried to get new sim. As am conceived and about to get admitted by 15t april I sent my husband to collect new sim card from airtel connect which is there in anna nagar opposite to k4 police station along with my proofs voter id pan card and photo. But te retailer refused to give a sim saying a concern person should visit the place in person, even after saying that am carrying, which a tremendous stupidity. Now I dont have any number to call airtel and discontinue my service.1. This is a real poor customer service I ever had. As am going to admit I wont be able to contact any one for emergency. 2. These people will send the bill just with the rent, which is a loss for me. Am really disappointed by this time.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have taken airtel postpaid service recently.Your dealer has blocked outgoing service 4-5days back without any reason.Dealer is not giving proper service. Please check whats the problem or discard your service.

regarding bill
Hi :
My name is Vinod kmar and i am a very old coustomer of Airtel, might be from the past 9 years.
I am using Airtel service from so many year in one or the other way like..prepaid, postpaid(corporate connection), broad connection.
Presently i am having one postpaid and prepaid mobile connection with one INTERNET USB with connection.
Before i start up with my query i would like to tell you that i was completely suprised with the service of Airtel and its officers given to the customer which has changed my 9yrs of thinking completely.
My query: I had brought an Airtel USB internet connection (# [protected]) on my brothers name . so i used the net connection for some time thought of to take airtel broadband connection instead of usb so opted of disconnection. As i have raised the request somewere 5 months back. Even after that i started getting bill for 2-3 months laster i paid the bills and registered one more complaint for disconnection and then bill had stopped comming and the customer care service office confirmed the disconnection. But to my surprise i got a mail last week to make a payment of 3280INR else legal action will be taken.
So with refernece the mail i spoke to the office( Ms Reni -[protected]) whose number was available in the mail and given her all the communication i had with customer care including the service request no's i had at that time. so intead of invetigating the matter she insisted to pay the amount or if required take legal action from your side as well.
I would like to ask is this the way a customer is handled.
Now if this is not cleared i am planning to disconnet my postpaid #[protected] and all other prepaid connection i have with my family.

Dear All,
Yesterday I spoke with Anusha at your customer care number and she promised me a call back within 30 minutes and till today I’ve not received the call. No again I called and spoke with Dhanalakshmi and I had to explain the whole story and after all that she said she will transfer the call to his supervisor. I spoke with Venketes Moorthy and he again collected the whole details and promised a call back in 2 hours. Promising the refund.
Dear All,
This mail is to inform you that now the amount 5990 is not enough for me that you have to refund. I need the amount 5990+ the service charge charged by the bank. Now my online bill shows 6821.67 Total Billed Amount (Balance as per last month's statement). If that includes only your charge if 5990 then I need the complete refund of 6821.67Rs.
One more thing. The last date to pay the bill is by 20th Feb. If you are not paying it you will see this complaint all over the world(WWW) and I’ll make you famous, you can no more cheat anyone else. Additionally there will be case filed at consumer court.
I’ve all my proofs.

Dear All,
Please find the billed amount of my credit card. You have charged me
5999 instead of 4999. There is also an outstanding authorisation pending amount of 4999.
The last date of my credit card payment is 25th February. I do not have enough money to pay as you have billed. If the bank is charging any fine because of your irresponsibility, I’ll certainly go to court. With all the call recordings and mail prints.
Please do the needful to waive of 1000 Rs and cancel the 4999 payment authorisation. To make sure that there is no issues in bank dealings it has to be done before 25th February.
Regards
Jayarous

Dear Airtel Digital TV Customer Care Executives,
I don't know what kind of customer care service you provide, or is it that there is no such service exists for Airtel Digital TV!.
I send you the first mail on 15th Jan 2011 and it is already 20 days passed and I even have not received a reply from your side other than System generated auto reply.
I called many times to your customer care office and you always ask me to mail the details to you and there is no reply after that.
The people with whom I talked with are given below
Alfred - alfred.[protected]@shelltransource.com This guy asked me to make the payment of 4990 again and he promised that the 5990 will be refunded. We spoke over phone and he gave me his email ID for me to send the details.
Please check the tailing mail for details. I've never received a reply from him. I think he resigned from your office or he may not be a customer care executive. That must be why he gave me an excellent service.
Naiyoum - naiyoum.[protected]@airtel.in
He is another guy who cheated me again just like Alfred did. Please find the tailing mail for details.
Deepti Nigam - [protected]@airtel.in
This is the first person( a human being) who replied to me via email stating that she has done something to solve this issue(send mail to the concerned team). But again after the mail there is no any other reply
Now my question is do you really have a department called customer care. If yes I need a solution for this issue. I need some human being to take care of this issue from Airtel. I'll not be satisfied with the system generated auto reply. If you cannot give a solution to my issue I'll sue you.
once again I'm mentioning my issue below for you.
I got a call from you
offered me a scheme of 5990, 6months validity, after that 220 per month.( cheated me saying that HBO and star movies are included in it, in actual they were not there).
I made the payment via credit card
HDFC bank-screen shot attached
Customer ID [protected] given after that.

06-Jan-2011
connection was promised to be activated on 1st february EMI Scheme for HDFC

later plan i called the cust care to know regarding the new offer of 4990 4months

talked to alfred and he said he will give rge refund of 5990 and will charge only 4990 asked me to make the payment again of 4990 i made the same and he asked me to mail the details to him for refund of

harrassment
My airtel dth service ([protected]) is not avilable for 3 days after some idiot from thier gurgaon office (Supposed to be the territory manager's team) who thinks I have a some amount pending to be paid whereas my account has been showing a positive balance and the service is also supposed to be activate (According to thier customer support staf).
My surprises on the case:
1. Twice the account is put in safe custody (And the service is deactivated) and when the customer service is called they ask, madam you have requested for safe custody.
2. Later the account goes into suspension and again the customer service executive asks madam you have asked for the account to be suspended
3. And last but not the least, the account is categorized as case of piracy. Now one will wonder whth is piracy in a adth connection and I get to understand I am operating multiple tvs with one set top box. This is when I only have one tv in my household.
Im sure anyone would understand the mental torture I am going through and this is all becase there is one idiot sitting out there who has the autority to do all these actions in the back end and has an ego issue because he feels I have some amount to pay while none of the others in the team beleives so.. And the best part is nobody in thier system knows who is doing it in the backend
What would you call this, torture, harassment or ?
Last but not th least again.. Thier nodal officer's names are also not correct on thier website...

airtel not responding for disconnection request
Hello,
This is to inform you that I am highly disappointed with the way airtel is behaving. I am calling airtel everyday to be told that no request has been forwarded from my end. However I file a request to disconnect the number ([protected]) on 2nd april 2011 for which I received sms also giving me reference number - [protected] (Via phone) & 1433688 (Via email). I am fed up of false commitments airtel is making every other day. Each day a customer care executive would call me to know the reason and offering me the redress help but they don’t just tell me the status of my request. And it’s so funny and horrible when I called today and was told that I have cancelled my request of disconnection after talking to some of so-called truthful executive from airtel. This is indeed unbelievable to know if big company like airtel can indulge in such unethical and false statement things for their business. I am making it very clear now in bold words that I don’t want any solution to retain the connection but to get the connection ceased with immediate effect.
Further to let you know, now I am not gonna chase airtel to know the status since its already almost 5 days that I filed request and no action has been taken against their promise of ceasing the connection within 24 hours. And I will not pay any bills that airtel might raise after my request to disconnect the services. I will pay for only what I have used and no dummy bills.

disconnection of my fixed broadband connection no.[protected].
Dear sir,
I am having fixed broadband connection no.[protected]. I got the bill of rs.2387/-. Immediately contacted with customer care for over-billing and requested them to deactivate outgoing calls. But your team did not acceded to my request. Again I got a call on 23rd march 2011 and was told that un-billed usage has reached to rs. 1600/-. I again requested for deactivation of outgoing calls. This time total outgoing facilities were withdrawn which I came to know when I tried to access internet for payment online and I couldn't make payment. On 3rd april I made payment of bill for the month of march11 to your collecting agent. He allowed me a waiver of rs.550 / - for non-usage and promised me to get the waiver approved. Rest amount of the bill was paid by me in cash. From 3rd april and onward I am trying to book a request for disconnection and have made 10-15 calls to your team. Every time I am being told different stories by different attending people. They keep me holding line for quite long time without any result. The last call made to no. [protected] at 1.50 p. M. On 6th april which was attended by mr. Abhishek and sr. Executive mr. Rajesh had to hold by me for 15 minutes two times and call took a long duration of 45 minutes but your people could not book a small request of disconnection. And I was again directed to contact on numbers [protected] and 4247459. I rang on these numbers on 5th and 6th april but my call was not attended despite full ring. The level of efficiency of airtel people and excellence of customer service rendered by them can be well imagined.
Now I request you to kindly arrange for disconnection of my connection number [protected] and save me from further harrasment by airtel team. I also request you to take action against your erring employees.
With regards,
Rahat ali

fraud done by airtel by activating services by themselves and deducting charges
Airtel is fraudulently activated services in my mobile number called "Funtime", and started deducting Rs.1 per day. When I called customer care they are misbehaving and not registering my complaint and accusing me that I have activated this service which is a complete lie or Airtel is doing fraudulent practices to exploit customers earn money, as we cannot prove that we have not subscribed for any such service and they put all fraud details in there system to prove there point.
It is very sad that Indian Telecom companies are using fraudulent practices and started exploiting customers. My experience with Airtel is very dis-satisfactory, and I want to sue Airtel Company for harassing customers.
I also want to appeal to TRAI to take strict action against Telecom companies and provide a way out of this problem. It is not feasible to file a case against these companies for 1 or 2 or 100 bucks and these companies know this that customers will not fight for small amount of money so they are taking advantage of it.
Thank You, I hope that my voice gets heard.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
dissatisfaction towards the service provided
I have been an Airtel Customer since 2006. But now the kind of service provided to me was extremely fraudulent and fake. My first concern is no body in Airtel knows to talk even a single sentence in English Properly. Secondly, they do not take complete concerns of the customer and I am the best example for it. Airtel takes only complaints which they think they can resolve and concerns which they cannot resolve are not getting registered at all anywhere in any of the request number provided to Customers. I have been calling Airtel since Mar 11, 2011 until today for the same issue and spoke with nearly more than 10 different people and no one seem to record in their recording system the complete concern I expressed. I was given so far four different request numbers and finally since they could not resolve my issue they gave me cancellation request number.
The issue was, I called in December 2010 for owner name change from my mother's name to my name which was done and the Dec month's bill was reflecting my name. But all of a sudden without any intimation the owner name was changed back to my mother's name in Jan'11 and Feb'11. I again called Airtel and gave a request to change the owner name and they had changed. As I have to produce the bill at my office for official purposes I requested Airtel to provide me a duplicate bill on my name for Jan'11 and Feb'11. Nodal help desk and Billing Department said once the billing cycle is generated owner name cannot happen however will ask the Billing team to provide a note on Airtel letterpad in email that by mistake the owner name was changed which will not happen again and they also told that I can show that email at my office. I agreed to it and was waiting for 48 hrs as they promised but haven't heard anything either in mail or even a courtesy call. When I called Airtel to inquire on the status I came to know that no such information was recorded anywhere in the request number [protected] given to me. Finally they accepted that they cannot get the issue resolved and took a request for cancellation. Why are you doing this?
If you are not able to make up to the promises then do not provide such fake and fraudulent services to Customer s and irritate them. I will definitely share this horrible experience with my relatives, friends and colleagues and prevent them from using such useless and disgraceful service.
AIRTEL SUCKS!
speed of internet
I am using Airtel Broadband From 2006 under 399 unlimited plan. Now from two months my service provider slow down its speed after sending a message on my mobile that you have reached your high speed data limit. My airtel No. is [protected]
Worst Company in India is Airtel This company cheats its consumers by giving attractive plans then stops giving service as per heir plans
A company like Airtel will use this type of tacts to befool their Custmers are not good . At the time of giving plans to your consumers you should plan youself for long time I think 80% of cutomers those have opted for this plan must have left and remaining those are continuing this plan you are trying that they should go. But donot think that you are the only service provider in India. You should not use these type of tools with your loyal customers those are paying you as per your plan well in time.I have received calls from your cutomer care centre so many time to change plan and after that your company has started to harass like this. I reuest to reconsider on your action
How It has been resolved my speed has been slow down to 42 kbs now at 08:00 AM on 01/04/2011.Donot compell me to move to consumer court for my problem
The Speed Has now gone down to 70 as on 31/03/2011 at 09:30 AM
outgoing call barred
I am sri ramesh chandra sahu, working as manager (Advances) in state bank of travancore, muvattupuzha.
Before few day one of your representatives have come to my office and advertised me about certain new products ou your company meant specially for sbi group staffs.
I have agreed to take a new connection from your company. As per his statement only last bill, salary slip and pan card copy was provided to him. My no. Was activated under portability from bsnl.
Subsequently one of your representatives mr. James has come to my office, without prior intimation to me. On that day I was in hyderabad for some official work. As such he returned and reported negative on address verification.
In the 1st week of march-2011, somebody from your office called and told me that your address verification is not done properly and as such our new representative will go for the same. Accordingly I have given the details asked by him.
Today my outgoing calls has been debarred and on enquiry from 121, they have stated that due to negative in address verification, it was disconnected.
It is reported by mr. James, that he came to my office and my colleges told that no such person is working here. However the fact was that my college told him that when m. Sahu will arive, they will give a call to mr. James. Accordingly they have called, however mr. James did not turn up and gave a negative report.
After that I have received my first bill and paid the amount in time.
Now please reply me the following.
1) how can you disconnect my no. Without prior information ?
2) can a person, who is using a bsnl connection for last 6 months and working as a officer in a psu organisation, give wrong address proof ?
3) how mr. James give such a negative report ?
4) is not it your responsibility for calling the customer, before disconnecting the line ?
If my complain is not resolved within 2 hours, I will file a complain at appropriate level.

Was not in his name, after contacting help line they provided new sim with original number (After producing college i. D. Card copy)' but after contacting airtel office at mangalore we found sim is still in some persons name? The reason for above problem, airtel officals unable to answar till now.

Dear Mr. Rakesh Kumar,
Ref: Airtel Mobile No: [protected] in the name of MAYANK CHETAN,
S/o. Chetanmaya K
Thanks for your prompt reply through complaintsboard.com., and am sure you will sort this issue out for me.
I was feeling rather helpless as the office in mangalore have not given us a reply though I have given a written complain to Mr Sunil at the BharathiAirtel office, Hampankattta, Mangalore on 24th March 2011. The attitude was casual, the very reason to get through this media.
Well I think the matter is rather serious for I don’t expect my son who is studying in Bangalore to be in any sort of trouble.
The details are as follows:
1. We purchased an AIRTEL Prepaid connection for him two years ago at Airtel Office at the Saibeen complex, Lalbagh Mangalore by producing a prescribed and duly filled form and his passport copy for address and Photo proof. A scan copy of Sim connection cover with Sim No. and MSISDN No. attached. ( Ref : Airtel 1)
2. Mayank lost his mobile along with the Sim on 01.08.2009, for which we had lodged a police complaint. A scan copy of the complain attached. ( Ref. Airtel 2).
3. On producing the police complaint and address proof ( Passport copy) a duplicate Sim was issued by your office on 03.08.2009. A scan copy of the bill with Sim number attached.
( Ref : Airtel 3)
4. On 22.03.2011 Mayank once again lost his mobile along with Airtel Sim at Bangalore. With the help of the Helpline he got his sim blocked immediately. As I was in Bangalore on a private visit the next day we visited the Airtel office at Kengeri to issue a duplicate sim. To our shock we did get to know that his mobile connection was in a different person’s name. After a lot of explanation and talking to the helpline the office did issue a new sim after producing a copy of his college ID .
( Sim No.[protected] H4)
On my return from Bangalore the next day, just to reconfirm the issue I visited the AIRTEL office at Saibeen complex, Mangalore, only to know that the connection was still not in his name and the staff there refuse to respond to our woes. Immediately I visited your main office at Hampankatta, Mangalore to give a written complain, So far we have not received any reply.
I hope you will look into the matter and set things right. I would like the same connection and number in my son Mayank Chetan’ s name and do not want any other number issued in his name. I would like to have a confirmation letter .
Kindly do the needful
Regards

Hi
I am a new customer of Airtel, before that i was using Tata indicom. I porting my number into airtel and date of porting is 9 march. I am working in IBM so i have taken (149 rental)corporate plan. My billing cycle is 26 to 25 of every month. I got a call from airtel after porting my number. They told me that your first bill will generate from 9th march2011 to 25 march2011, so we will wave your monthly rental according to days as my first bill is for 17 days but they charge me 148.6 rs as a whole month rental. which should have not been applied and other thing is that they charge me 80 rs for value added services. I need to know the details what kind of services i have taken however i have already taken the 99 rs unlimited GPRS plan. I want the whole detail of my uses.
Thanks & Regards

deficiency of services
This is regarding the Customer Id No [protected] of Airtel DTH. I subscribed for Airtel DTH in March 2010 and ever since have faced mental agony and severe monetory loss due to the defeciency in your services. The intial installation itself was done nearly after 10 days, after 20-30 follow ups over the phone with your customer care and complaints lodged with consumercompliants.in and Nodal officers in New Delhi. Copy of the complaint is attached with this e-mail. Then I shifted to Bangalore in the second half of 2010, I requested for a re-installation to be done in Nov 2010. In spite of banging my head with your customer support and Mr. Nagaraj (Team lead of Engineers in Bangalore - Mobile: [protected]), the re-installation was not done for almost a week. I had no other option but to move to Tatasky due to the poor service offered by Airtel. I got a call from Nagaraj nearly after 10 days from the request for re-installation and I rejected the offer to re-instal as I had waited enough and got frustrated. Airtel didnt even bother to call me back and check about my displeasure inspite of not solving my query. Although the installation was not done, Airtel DTH kept deducting Rs.7 per day for nearly 4 months till date. As again I shifted my house, I thought of resintalling Airtel DTH as I thought the third time might be lucky. But I have been punished enough for doing the mistake of beleiving the day light robbers, beleiving the company that practices customer terrorism. This time I was promised that the re-intallation will be done on 20th March at 10 am. But as usual, no one called up and I kept calling Airtel Customer care for promises of contact within 2 hours (Every one failed to metion how many 2 hrs). Later in the evening of 20th, Ms. Lakshmi, floor manager called me and assured that the engineer will solve the issue before evening 6 pm. But again it was the same false promise given to me.
I contacted the Nodal Officer, Karnataka around 10:30 am today, 21st March who conferenced Mr. Nagaraj, who assured thet reinstallation to be done by 4 pm. Finally the engineer arrived at 4:40 pm and spent 2 hrs trying to install and finally said the cable needs to be replaced. He changed the cable and again fiddled around for almost 2 more hours to finally set it up at 8:45 pm. He said I need to pay the following:
Reinstallation - Rs. 200
Cable 14 mts - Rs. 168
Cable connector - Rs. 200
One Small Clamp replaced - Rs. 100
I contacted Customer again to check if these charges are right as I was first of not convinced with the cable replacement, as it took almost 2 hrs to get the signal even after replacing the cable. But as usual, the phone got disconnected without proper clarification given to me. As a result, I refused to pay Rs. 200 for cable connector as even the customer service executive over the phone was doubtful about those charges. I paid Rs. 468 and was given a bill, which the engineer claimed not to be having (Mobile no of engineer - [protected]). The DTH worked for only 30 mins and suddenly got disconnected throwing an error that the installation was done properly and contact Airtel Customer care. When I immediately contacted the engineer, he said the direction of the dish has changed recently and he was not aware that even old connections needs to fixed in the new direction. This is the efficiency of the engineer who doesnt even know his job. Now he says, he will raise the complaint and solve the issue within two days. After 2 full days of torture and mental agony, the installation was done and not properly that is going to take another 2 days to resolve.
As a result of all the above circumstances, I am planning to sue Airtel DTH in the consumer court and writing this to keep you informed regarding the same. I am seeking the help of Consumer Court India website to help me in this.
