Allstate Insurance Mixed Experiences with Allstate Insurance Co of Canada

As an expert in the insurance industry, I've come across a range of customer reviews about Allstate Insurance Co of Canada. While some customers have praised the company for its polite and professional service, others have expressed frustration with delayed claims processing, poor communication, and denied claims. It seems that experiences with Allstate can vary greatly depending on individual circumstances. If you're considering Allstate for your insurance needs, it's essential to weigh both positive and negative feedback to make an informed decision that aligns with your expectations and requirements.

Allstate Insurance Shaun Matthews-GREAT AGENT!

My home after 16 years has been re-zoned to a flood zone. My agent Shaun has helped me tremendously! This agent has helped, listened sympathized through all my issues of trying to save my home due to the high cost of flood insurance. I can not say enough but THANK YOU Shaun for sticking with me! My Flood insurance policy decreased. He called me personally to give me the good news. Now that to me is a GREAT agent and customer service!

Allstate Insurance Tammie Pero: Allstate Insurance

I became an Allstate agency owner since I enjoy aiding individuals as well as I intended to be involved in this fantastic city. I delight in learning more about neighborhood family members and also helping them shield what matters most to them. It's also enjoyable to see these families expand and provide assistance to their youngsters as they take into consideration choosing a coverage for their first home or car. Personal, caring service is the foundation of my agency, as well as I satisfaction myself on the superb customer service I provide for those in the neighborhood. My office lies on the edge of South Park Street as well as Trojan Drive so please come by or call today!

Allstate Insurance Allstate Pennsylvania

I had a total loss accident on June 4 2022 and the adjustor Gary Lockard lied to me every step of the process. I cannot find a vehicle close to me the same value and the ones I did find are 8-10k more.
Gary told me I had a limited disability policy. My local agent told me that was not true. He withheld my funds for weeks saying that he sent a check but it was the wrong amount. Again another lie. The moment I signed the Power of attorney, my funds were released. My local agent and my lawyer said there is no way to fight for the value of my car once the POA was signed. I asked Gary three times if the signing of the POA would effect my ability to prove my car was worth more. I sell cars and I looked everywhere. The value is higher and he clearly lied to entice me to sign the POA which left me powerless. Most importantly he lied about my policy! Weeks of runaround and no way to actually get a similar vehicle, not a good experience at all.

Allstate Insurance Deny home claims

If you have a leak in your home, you better find it quickly! They look at photos and if "in their opinion" the leak has been going on for some time. They will deny your claim, they will not even pay a partial claim and pay the part of the leak you found quickly. Horrible customer service, even if you have paid for their insurance for over 15 years and NEVER used it!

Recommendation: Don't use them for your homeowners insurance

Allstate Insurance Allstate Insurance Denies Claim for Damaged Siding, Leaving Home Worthless: A Cautionary Tale

In December of 2019, my area experienced a snowstorm that was accompanied by strong winds. Unfortunately, the storm caused damage to my home's siding, specifically a 6-foot-long piece that was about 12 inches high. I contacted my Allstate agent's office in Castle Rock, CO to ask for advice on what to do next. The agent informed me that the damage was going to be less than my $1000 deductible and that filing a claim would not be productive.

The siding that was damaged is made by a Canadian company called Kaykan. Unfortunately, Kaykan is no longer available in the United States due to supply issues. I have spent countless hours on the phone with a Kaycan representative out of Springfield, MO named Brent Rushin. He informed me that they no longer sell to consumers and that the closest thing to Kaycan siding is Royal Building Products. However, I have tried to hire 10 "handy men" who couldn't get the materials to fix the issues. Along with the 6' by 12" piece of siding, I also need approximately 10 linear feet of J-channel, which is also unavailable. I have been to at least 5 wholesalers in Denver, all of which stated that Kaycan can't be obtained anymore. The siding color is Cobot Brown, and even the inspector that Allstate sent out to my home stated that Kaycan couldn't be obtained.

The insurance is denying the claim because they believe the limited damage to the siding is the result of defective material since the damage is only to one piece. The Allstate insurance claims agent stated that he would send my siding to ITEL to see if they can provide a match or even a close match. However, now that the insurance claim is denying the claim, my house went from worth approximately $520k to $0 because a lender will not approve a loan to purchase the home from me. If my estimates are correct, I have about 3600 square feet of siding on my home, which means I am looking at approximately $27k to fix because I will have to put vinyl siding on the entire home. I am considering legal action and have recorded my calls with my insurance agent as well. These recorded calls will be provided to an attorney. I was told by the Allstate claims agent that even if ITEL finds no available matches, the claim will not be paid.

I want to say that my insurance agent, Dave Lowrey, in Castle Rock, CO, is fantastic, and his service is great. However, it is the company Allstate that is trying to push this bill on me. My siding is https://www.kaycan.com/product/vinyl-siding/lap-siding/davinci/. The Kaycan siding is 5.5 inches lapping, and per multiple wholesalers in my area, no US company makes siding with 5.5 inches lapping. They are mostly 5 inches lapping. I will be contacting an attorney on 03/07/2021.

Overall, I am extremely disappointed with Allstate's handling of my claim. The fact that they are denying my claim and refusing to pay for the damages is unacceptable. I would caution anyone considering doing business with Allstate to think twice before making a decision.

Allstate Insurance Allstate's Poor Handling of Home Robbery Claim - Nightmare Experience

So, I had a really bad experience with Allstate. My wife and I bought a house in Washington and it got robbed before we even moved in. We made a claim and they promised to help us out, but it took them forever to get back to us and they kept passing us around to different people. They even accused us of lying about the robbery and made us go through an examination under oath. We had to hire a lawyer and in the end, they dismissed our claim because we hadn't occupied the property for 30 days prior to the loss. It was a total nightmare and I wouldn't recommend Allstate to anyone. They might seem okay on the surface, but once you have to deal with them on a claim, they'll leave you high and dry.

Allstate Insurance Allstate's Lack of Customer Service: My Frustrating Experience with Policy Renewal Requirements

So, I had a bit of a run-in with Allstate recently. It all started in the spring of 2022 when a representative from the Titley agency called me up to let me know that someone was coming out to take pictures of my property. I didn't think much of it and gave the okay.

Fast-forward to May and I get a "second notice" telling me that I need to address some issues before my policy renews in June. I had never received the first notice, but Allstate sends out a lot of paper so it's possible that I just missed it. I contacted the agency and spoke to Danielle, who informed me that there were bricks missing from my chimney and that my garage was considered unsafe. I agreed about the chimney, but I thought the garage still had a few good years left in it.

Danielle explained that in order to renew my policy, these problems had to be resolved or under contract to be resolved. She also warned me that if I lost my coverage, I would have a hard time finding quality coverage again. With only a month's lead time, I immediately hired a general contractor to demolish the old garage and build a new one. I also contracted to have my chimney replaced.

The day they were tearing down the garage, I called the agency to let them know that I was in compliance and could now have my policy renewed. I spoke to Danielle again, and she looked up my account only to find that those requirements had been removed. I was pretty frustrated at this point, and I may have yelled a little bit.

I eventually called Allstate corporate to report what had happened. A few days later, I started playing phone tag with a customer service specialist. When we finally talked, I explained that Allstate had made me tear down my garage when I really didn't have to. I expected them to do something to compensate me, like give me a discount on my insurance bill or contribute to my garage building fund.

Unfortunately, the agent I spoke to was not very helpful. He was pretty condescending and smug, and no matter how much I tried to explain the situation, he was resolute that Allstate would do nothing. I asked him to look up how long I'd been an Allstate customer, and he told me it was 30 years. I pointed out that in those 30 years, I had never made a claim. He wasn't impressed.

As the call went on, I got more and more frustrated. At one point, I may have said something like "this is b___ s___.", but I wasn't cursing at the agent. I was cursing at the situation. The agent threatened to terminate the call if I continued to curse at him, even though I wasn't.

I never received an apology from Allstate or my agent, which was pretty disappointing. It makes me wonder how much they really value individual customers.

Allstate Insurance Allstate: A Nightmare Insurance Company - My Experience

Been with Allstate for 25 years now, and I've had my fair share of ups and downs with them. I've had three agents over the years, and my current one has been with me for 12 years. In 2008, my home was damaged due to what was listed as tornadic activity, and Allstate replaced a room addition that was destroyed. They did a great job putting everything back together, and I was satisfied with their work. However, in 2016, I had roof damage, and the flat tar part of the roof was not replaced, even though it was recommended. The rest of the composition shingle roof was replaced, but not the flat roof.

Fast forward to May 30th, 2022, and I had severe wind and thunderstorm damage that caused the soffit to blow out from underneath, lifting the roof from its anchor. The severe winds peeled about 1/4 of the roof back onto the house, exposing the structure. I filed a claim, but it was a nightmare. Allstate asked me to send pictures three times in five weeks, and they never received them. They went on vacation in the middle of the claim and didn't communicate for 17 days. The claim disappeared from the website, and no one was talking to me. Allstate finally fired their own claim team and reassigned a new team. It was two more weeks before an adjuster was assigned, and another week before he was on board enough to give any decision. During this time, I had five other record rains and a wind and hail storm, and the temporary roof was not meant to protect from this. The damage climbed to over 3x the amount, and the adjuster finally tried to tell me he was looking at a picture from 2016 where the flat roof edges were flipped up and they might not cover the roof, but they would cover all the other damage. When I told him that Allstate deemed the roof as fine in 2016, he wasn't able to find it. No surprise, their database and systems are horrific, and not friendly or very useful. Once he finally found the claim, he told me he would need more time to investigate. They finally came back and said none of it would be covered because of the roof edges flipped and "lack of maintenance" he said.

I have a great construction crew, and they are helping me fight the insurance company. One of the main guys used to work at an insurance company and became so disgusted with the way they do business that he started a construction company and works against them. He told me that Allstate and some others are mismanaged and doing poorly, and have many lawsuits against them. They are denying what would normally be legitimate claims in hopes to stop the bleeding. My contractor is not walking away from me and is going to help me get whole again on my house, while their own public adjuster helps me fight the insurance company. I'll have to pay a small loan for 18 months, which is the normal process to fight these claims. If you are in the Dallas Area and need the most reputable people who do the job right x10, go with Vantage Point Construction or Vantage Point Contractors. These are the best, and their reviews show it.

Sadly, Allstate is no longer a legitimate insurance company to consider. Please do your research and don't use any lists that have Allstate on top. They are not reputable and are paid reviewers. Good luck! I don't know what's higher than "Dog eat Dog," but when you add blatant corruption and failure to support your customer after decades of on-time payments, it's not good!

Allstate Insurance Disappointed with Allstate's Response to Water Damage Claim: Biased Repair Company, Sub-Standard Repairs, and Lack of Concern for Black Mold

Allstate is a company that prides itself on great customer service. However, my recent experience with them has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. When I reported water damage in my kitchen, they sent out a restoration company to assess the damages. The restoration company used a device to measure water saturation in walls, floors, and underneath the sink. They wanted to set up fans, heaters, and other equipment to dry out the area. However, I felt that I was well capable of doing this myself and could easily rent the same equipment from a rental company.

When I tried to explain this to the restoration company, they told me that their equipment was specialized and that I wouldn't be able to find the same brand name at a rental company. However, when I called a rental company, they told me that they had the exact equipment that the restoration company used and even had the same brand name. I also tried to explain to the restoration company about the water saturation in the walls and floor, but they didn't seem concerned about it and didn't want to crawl under the house to investigate further.

The restoration company also couldn't give me a quote for the work that needed to be done, and my deductible was $1000. I felt that the work that wasn't done would have been way less than $1000, especially if it was rushed and sub-standard repairs. I was worried about the possibility of black mold, but the restoration company didn't seem to take this seriously.

I also felt that Allstate was biased in their choice of repair company. The company they hired for me was 70 miles away, even though there were numerous capable people just 2 miles from my house. I felt that this was a bias company that Allstate retained, and they followed a "cut the corners" policy to get rewarded with more work.

Overall, I was disappointed with Allstate's response to my water damage claim. I felt that they were more concerned with keeping their stockholders happy than with helping me. I will keep my house insurance intact for now, but I don't have confidence that future home damage claims will be dealt with in a desirable way. Corruption is an ongoing problem in many areas of life, and it seems that Allstate is no exception.

Allstate Insurance Allstate's Biased Observations and Denial of Claim: My Disappointing Experience

I have been a customer of Allstate since September of 2019, and unfortunately, my experience has not been a positive one. On two separate occasions, my claim was denied, and both times, the adjusters sent to assess the damage were unable to see the issues at hand. This led me to share my experience on social media, including a review on Consumer Affairs, which has been read by over 7,000 people to date.

Despite my efforts to bring attention to my situation, Allstate has still not admitted to their biased observations and denial of my claim. I have even reached out to KTLA Los Angeles and WCBS Atlanta, and the Los Angeles Times has asked me to consider writing an Ed-Op piece about my experience.

I have also filed complaints with the Georgia State Insurance Commissioner's office and the American Policy Holder Association, as Allstate has refused to pay based on policy of Pre-loss conditions as well as Ordinance & Law, even when presented with proof from Licensed General Contractor/ Public Adjuster, State and Local Building Department Director here in Cobb County as adopted by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners that adopted State code over Municipal Code which took full force and effect in January 2020.

Allstate used the opinion of a Paid Biased Contract Ladder Assist to determine whether coverage should be afforded (adjuster never set foot on the roof) at claim onset, even when presented with evidence of damages by 3 roofing contractors, and PA/ GC and that they are in violation of the GA Fair Settlements Act.

When I asked for a copy of the last roof inspector's report, I was told that it was "Propriety information" and thus I would not be getting a copy. However, I was told that the portion that Allstate refused to pay for was not inspected by their roofing inspector. This is concerning, as Allstate is refusing to pay for something that wasn't even inspected.

As a loyal customer of over a decade, I am disappointed in Allstate's lack of action and unwillingness to resolve this issue. They claim there are remedies and provisions within the policy to resolve differences that exist on this loss, but they have not provided any direction that doesn't lead to the courthouse steps.

In the words of Jack Welch, "What's important at the grocery store is just as important in engines or medical systems. If the customer isn't satisfied, if the stuff is getting stale, if the shelf isn't right, or if the offerings aren't right, it's the same thing. You manage it like a small organization. You don't get hung up on zeros."

I hope that Allstate will take my concerns seriously and work towards a resolution that is fair and just.

Allstate Insurance Fraudulent and Unethical Practices at Allstate Corporation: My Terrible Experience

Allstate Corporation is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. They are fraudulent and unethical. I had a terrible experience with them on December 11th, 2018 when I called their 800 number to get a quote. I spoke to an agent named Logan who gave me a great rate on my home insurance, saving me about $500 a year on my home and $70 on my car insurance rates. However, Logan entered a lot of fictitious information in the computer to give me a lowball rate to get me to change my policies to Allstate.

I gave Logan all the information about my home, but he insisted that it was a 1400 square feet, two-level home, a split-level according to the public records. He gave me so many discounts that allowed me to have such a great rate including automatic pay for my checking account which was an additional $72 discount. However, he took over $2,200 out of my checking account on the 12th of December, even though I had instructed him not to take the money out until December 28th since my policy was not due until the 29th.

I also had to fax the Defensive Driving certificate to him, but I never received a call from Logan to confirm that he had received it. Instead, I started receiving messages from Joseph Rehonic Allstate company Hoschton GA *** (Winder) threatening to remove the discount if I didn't send in the certificate. That was the first time I realized that I was put with a company 66 miles away from my home in College Park Georgia. I called Logan about it, but he never returned my call. I finally got the secretary who said that the certificate was in the file.

After that, I received one message after another threatening to remove a discount for some reason or trying to get me to sign up for something else. I finally wrote headquarters with a complaint and requested to move my policies to an Allstate 4 miles from my home. However, on February 25, 2019, I received a letter from Allstate headquarters stating that after the home inspection, I owe an additional $730.34 on my homeowner's policy from December 29th, 2018 to December 29th, 2019. They also increased the square footage to my home to over 2,500 square feet by adding the garage as part of the living space and overestimated the replacement value of my home to almost a half a million dollars from the original correct $304,000 replacement value.

Logan put all the wrong information in the system intentionally to get my business from my original insurance companies. Logan wrote that my home was a one-story 1400 sq ft concrete block home on a slab with no crawl space. Plus, a lot of other fictitious information. The home inspection came back with almost the exact information that I had given Logan. Had Logan put that correct information in the system, my quote may have been $1,651.86 for homeowners insurance instead $910 and I would not have changed to Allstate.

I tried to call Allstate at the number that's on this statement, 1 800Allstate to have them pull up the conversation tape that I had with Logan and to find out all the things he had put in that original quote to get my business. I also wanted to cancel my policy with them. However, the 1-800Allstate phone number is not a number you could talk to anyone. It's a recording trying to sell HEALTH ALERT SYSTEMS and other things including roadside assistance. Then it disconnects when you do not want those services. No one comes to the phone to talk. I could not cancel my Allstate policies last night.

In conclusion, I would advise anyone to be aware of Allstate Insurance. I purchased insurance with Geico for auto and home. I had two insurance companies until I got my Allstate insurance policy cancelled.

Allstate Insurance Allstate: The Worst Auto Insurance Company I Have Ever Dealt With - A Review

My son got into an accident with an Allstate driver who was underage. I called Allstate to file a claim, but I didn't hear back from them for over a week. I decided to take the car to a body shop to get an estimate, and they contacted Allstate. The shop was told to send pictures of the damage, and they were informed that the claim was in. They ordered parts and started fixing the car when they were told that a check would be mailed. However, they never received the check, so they contacted their liability woman, Ashia Sinclair. She told them that the Allstate customer had changed their version of the accident that they had given to the police, so they needed to speak to my son, the driver of the car that was hit.

I called Ashia Sinclair, but I got her answering machine for two days. When I finally spoke with her, she said that they hadn't assigned liability for the accident yet. This was despite having a police report showing the Allstate driver at fault for the accident. The report showed that their driver turned left across two lanes of traffic and hit my son broadside from the rear of the driver's door to the rear bumper, pushing his car into the curb since he was in the far lane going the opposite direction. Ashia Sinclair stated that she would need to speak with my son and take a tape recorded statement from him before assigning liability. This was after they had told the shop they would send them a check for repairs.

I indicated that I would do better than that. I would have the reporting police department call her and read her the report indicating their driver as being the striking vehicle, which was obvious from the damage on both vehicles. She said that she would need to speak with my son, who had now returned to college. I had the police department call Ashia Sinclair, and they were told that the Allstate driver was giving them a different story than what she had told the police. The police told Ashia Sinclair that their client had caused the accident and had said so at the scene.

With all this and a month now gone by, Allstate still refused to send payment for the accident they originally told the shop they would pay. I called Joshua Mead, a person I have never gotten on the phone. His answering machine says he will call you back by the end of the day. Well, a week later and 25 phone calls, I still have not heard from Joshua Mead. Mr. Mead is supposed to be the head of the liability department and Ashia Sinclair's boss.

This company is listed as one of those companies that deny, delay, and deny some more in hopes you will go away or call your own insurance company. They hired a company out of New York to stall claims as much as possible. This is where Joshua Mead works out of. I finally had my son on the phone with Ashia Sinclair to tell her what happened, even though they already had a police report and statements from the police department. Ashia Sinclair, while wanting my son to give a taped statement, said, "Are you giving this statement of your own free will?" I stated that he was being forced by Allstate to give a statement, even though they had a police report and statements from the police.

Once they were given the account of the accident from my son, they indicated that they would now assign the liability to the other driver. However, they have been lying and stalling for over a month now, and it still didn't end. I got a call from my insurance company stating that Allstate was trying to claim the accident as not their client's fault, telling my insurance it was a head-on accident. I told my agents that I would send pictures of the accident and that the front of the Allstate driven car hit the side of my son's car. I advised my company not to pay Allstate any part of the claim because they were at fault. I gave my company the police contact to verify this.

Allstate lied about sending the shop payment, lied about liability, and has done everything to not pay a legitimate claim after approving repairs. Beware of this company; they will lie to you over and over again. My company stated that if it comes down to it, they will pay the claim and go after Allstate. I contacted the police to investigate the Allstate driver for false statements and insurance fraud. Do not use Allstate; if you have Allstate, switch companies immediately. You're throwing your money away; they don't pay claims. I will be taking their client to court to sue for damages because of their having Allstate, the worst auto insurance company I have ever dealt with.

Allstate Insurance Allstate Insurance: The Worst Insurance Company in the Business

I've been in the auto body and painting business for over 35 years, and let me tell you, Allstate insurance is the worst! They're like the Sears of insurance companies, and they have booths set up in every store to try and trick you into signing up with them. They'll do anything to get you to listen or read their signs, and they'll promise to save you money on your auto insurance policy. But what they don't tell you is that they'll cut off coverage that you won't even notice, and then they'll say they can save you two hundred dollars per year. But in the fine print, it says that you have to sign here and agree to the cut-off coverage. And then you'll find out that they're actually the most expensive "cheap" insurance on the market!

If you're unlucky enough to have a claim, they'll tell you to drive into any Sears store and get a free estimate. But the truth is, they pay so little that no body shop will work for that money. So they employ a trick where any body shop that takes an Allstate job is immediately given another one and told that they'll keep them loaded with work. But after about twenty or thirty Allstate jobs, the shop owner realizes that they've only been paid on a "net thirty" basis. This means that they pay for all the work the shop has done in the first thirty days, but all the rest of the jobs they've done stay outstanding for the next thirty days, and so on. The shop owner knows that they can't keep this up or they'll go bankrupt. And no reputable company will give a single job to any shop that does Allstate work because they don't want their customers' cars butchered. So the body shop is stuck, and they can no longer get any other work. But they've got your car if you've been suckered into buying Allstate insurance.

But wait, there's more! Allstate had to be stopped by the government and slapped with a criminal anti-monopoly suit for first running body shops out of business and then buying them at a forced sale. Once they had their own body shops, their customers with claims no longer had any choice of shops. They had to go where they were told. And this is Sears we're talking about! They cheated company after company out of their businesses, including Cathy's Accessories, a little shop that made hairbows. They thought they were lucky when they landed a contract with Sears, but they didn't get their first payment for thirty days. And then Sears told them that they were going to take up their "option" not to pay them for 90 days. They had no other business, so they were forced into bankruptcy. And Sears bought the company and fired all the employees, replacing them with Green Card Mexicans.

Now, just how cheap is Allstate? They not only pay the least of all companies, but they send one of their adjusters to every job taken to any "outside" body shop to cut that estimate. I've seen them send an adjuster out from downtown LA to the San Fernando Valley, which is 70 miles away, just to cut an estimate for fifty cents! And it's not a joke, it's a matter of policy. An estimate can be less than their own estimate, and they will still demand to cut something off.

And if you think they have any morals, think again. My grandmother's good friends read in an ad that Allstate was giving a "Non-Smokers" discount. They were non-smokers and applied for it, but they were already Allstate customers, so it didn't apply. But they were canceled anyway and wound up on "Assigned Risk" insurance for four times the money. Why? Because Allstate found out they were "too old" when they made that application, and these people had been with Allstate for 25 years! They never had an accident or a claim of any kind for 25 years, and they were canceled for being too old. How's that for loyalty?

I could go on and on with my 50+ stories just like this, but I'll just say this: Allstate Insurance is a rip-off! The good companies, like Traveler's, Etna, and even Farmers, give you more coverage for your money than Allstate, and you can take your car anywhere you want. And on top of that, they're thieves. I give Allstate zero stars!

Allstate Insurance Horrible Customer Service and Multiple Headaches: My Experience with Allstate Insurance

I just wanted to share my experience with Allstate insurance and the multiple headaches and horrible customer service I received during my first ever insurance claim. I have been driving for years and have never had an at-fault accident, but unfortunately, I was rear-ended at a red light on February 22nd, 2019. The accident was severe enough that the police and ambulance had to be called to the scene. After they left, I decided to drive my car straight to the body shop instead of having it towed to save Allstate the hassle and cost of towing.

Once I got home, I called Allstate to file my claim and spoke with Japesh Mistry, my claim adjuster. From the start, things went downhill. Japesh told me I needed to go to the police station to get the police report, even though I had already given him the police report number. As someone who has worked in the industry, I knew this was unnecessary and frustrating. I pay Allstate $3398.00 a year, and I expected them to take care of things like this in case of an accident. Japesh also told me I had the right to a rental vehicle, but I declined to save Allstate money, hoping that this might reflect the rest of the service I was going to receive during this claim process.

The following week, I was contacted by another department of Allstate for injuries, and my adjuster on this file was Diane Coutts. We spoke briefly, and I asked her if we could talk later since I was at work. I advised her that I had already seen my chiropractor after the accident as I had very bad back pain. She called back in the evening, but I missed her call as I was at the chiropractor again. I called back the following morning, but her voicemail stated she was gone for a week and to contact someone else within that department. I then called one of the other adjusters on her list to get things going, but no one ever got back to me. I had to email the manager myself to get any sort of answer since obviously no one was going to call me back. Jessica then apologized and said she would talk to Kim ASAP and have her contact me. She asked me the best way to reach me, and I gave her my email address and cell number. I waited and waited, but once again, Kim did not follow up or try to reach me. I see how deeply Allstate cares about their injured customers, and it's insulting not to be called or e-mailed back and need to call or e-mail myself many times before reaching someone.

During all this frustrating time with the injury department, the same thing went on with the actual vehicle claim. The estimate on my car was completed and sent in to Allstate on February 26th. I then called Japesh to get an update, and he told me it's in the hands of the body shop. I then told him I went to the body shop in person, and they had submitted the estimate already. He told me he would look into it and get back to me, but of course, I had to call him on average of 10 to 12 times a day before I could get a hold of him. He finally told me the estimate had been approved, and they could start the repairs. I then told him I did not want my car repaired and that I was going to sell it like that at an auction and take the cash payout instead. He assured me it would be no problem and he would issue the check and send it out first thing the next day.

A few days went by, and still no check, so I decided to call in. He told me the check was approved and sent in the mail, but I waited a couple more days, and of course, no check in the mail. I called in again, and he then told me there was a lien on the car, and he could not issue the check to just my name. Why would he lie and tell me it's approved and sent out only for me to keep calling and being told it's not even approved yet? He then instead of actually sending the check like I asked several times, sent me an email stating I should get the car repaired instead. I had to call in AGAIN and tell him to send the check. He told me no problem, he would send it out the next morning. I was running the car at the auction on Thursday, so Wednesday, I called in to get an update to see when the check should be coming in. He then tells me, "Oh, it has not been approved yet!" I delayed my car running at the auction because I did not want to sell it without having the check in hand. I then called Japesh to explain to him the car was running through the auction, and I needed the check before the following Thursday. He assured me I should have it no problem. I ran the car through the auction, and it sold. It sold for less than what I owed for obvious reasons, so I needed the check to pay off my lien. I had one day to pay the lien off; if not, the auction could not release my car. I called in to talk to Japesh, but there was no answer, and I left messages, but of course, no follow-up. I finally ended up contacting Japesh and told him I had sold my car, and the check he had sent with my name and lien holder's name would not work as the lien was paid off. He then asked me to send in proof of the lien pay off, which I did. He then tells me no, it's not good enough, even though it's literally the paper the bank gave me. I then had to make calls to the bank to figure out what other papers they could give me for him to send the new check. I sent him another paper from the bank, and then he told me that one works. He told me the check would be sent out right away.

I have never received such bad service, especially considering it was not even my fault. The follow-up service from Allstate insurance is by far the worst thing I have ever experienced. I honestly don't even understand how Allstate is still in business. I have since bought a new vehicle that I did not insure with Allstate, and I have

Why was my Roadside Assistance cancelled?

Allstate Insurance Horrible customer service. Stay away

I would like to take a minute to explain the multiple headaches and horrible customer experience I received during my first ever insurance claim. I have had 0 at fault accidents in all my years of driving and this is my first (No fault accident). I assumed this was going to be a simple and easy process but boy was I wrong.
On the Day of February 22nd, 2019, I was stopped at a red light and got rear ended very badly. Cops and ambulances showed up on site due to the gravity of the accident. Once they left, I was told by the police that we should get my car towed but I have worked as a body shop estimator and repair planner/shop foreman and I understand the cost associated with towing and vehicle storage at tow yards. Me thinking I will try and help my insurance out and save them the hassle and cost of the towing so I drove my car straight to the body shop.
Once I got home, I called Allstate to get my claim going. The claim adjuster was Japesh Mistry. I gave him all my info including the police report number. Right away from the start this is where it's all down hill Japesh then tells me I need to go to the police station to get the police report even though I just gave him the police report number. Keep in mind I have been in the industry for many years and I understand how it works. Rather than just calling himself and doing his job he was trying to get me to go get it I just got in an accident the last thing I want to be doing is someone else's job. I give Allstate $3398. 00 a year! Is this not why I pay? To have someone take care of things like this is in case of an accident? Our phone conversation continued and he told me I had the right to a rental vehicle, I asked if I did not take a rental vehicle if I could get a kick back in cash like most insurance companies do, but no of course not. I still did not take a rental to save Allstate money hoping that this might reflect the rest of the service I was going to receive during this claim process but once again, boy was I wrong.
The following week I got contacted by another department of Allstate for injuries. My adjuster on this file was Diane Coutts. We spoke briefly as I was at work and I asked her if we could talk later, I advised her that I already went to see my chiropractor after the accident as I had very bad back pain. She called back in the evening but I missed her call as I was at the chiro again. I called back the following morning and her voicemail stated she was gone for a week and to contact someone else within that department. I then called one of the other adjusters on her list to get things going. The name of the adjuster is Kim (Can't remember her last name but here is her direct line ***074). I called twice and left 2 voicemails and no one ever got back to me. What kind of service is this? No follow ups were done. I then had to email the manager (Jessica Hardy) myself to get any sort of answer since obviously no one was going to call me back. Jessica then apologized and said she would talk to Kim ASAP and have her contact me. She asked me best way to reach me, I gave her my e-mail address and cell number and that was that (This was February 27th). I waited and waited and once again Kim did not follow up or try and reach me (No missed calls, no voicemails and no e-mails). I see how deeply Allstate cares about their injured customers, I guess once they have your money who cares right? On March 4th finally I get a follow up by Jessica asking me if Kim or another adjuster had reached out to me, I told her no, she then told me 'Hi Mat, Ok, I'm on it. I'll keep you posted''. Days went by, of course still no follow up. As someone who was in an accident, something that is already not a fun experience, Allstate made sure to make it even worse. Is it so complicated to follow up and call or email someone back? Finally, on March 7th I got a call from Diane Coutts. She said she would send me some sort of package to fill out to get things going. At this point I was so fed up by the no one contacting me I didn't even want to proceed with anything. She called back weeks later to follow up, finally wow someone called back without me having to call or email first. I explained to her that at this point I was so fed up with Allstate I dint want to deal with them anymore and I was paying it out of pocket. I honestly can't believe how ridiculous reaching someone after an accident is. I'm not a high risk customer, I always pay my insurance on time, I had 3 vehicle insured with Allstate, I have never had an accident and I have never made an insurance claim so why am I getting this kind of Service, It's insulting not to be called or e-mailed back and need to call or e-mail myself many times before reaching someone.
The story then continues, during all this frustrating time with the injury department the same thing went on with the actual vehicle claim of the vehicle. The estimate on my car was completed and sent in to Allstate on February 26th. I then called Japesh to get an update, he then told me it's in the hands of the body shop. I then told him I went to the body shop in person and they had submitted the estimate already. He told me he would look into it and get back to me. Of course, I assume its Allstate policy to NOT FOLLOW UP with their customers. I had to call Japesh on average of 10 to 12 times a day before I could get a hold of him. I left many voicemails for him to call me back but he didn't so I had to keep calling until he actually answered his phone. We finally spoke, he told me the estimate was never submitted and it was in the body shops hands and out of his control. If there is one thing I hate, it's being lied to and let me tell you there was more then one lie from Japesh. I am very good friends with the body shop manager, I also worked for assured in the past so I can assure you they brought my car in right away to do the estimate and submit it. I even checked the status in Mitchel (The software for estimates) and the status was 'sent, pending approval''. Why lie to me? It made me so mad. I called so many times to get updates from Japesh and it was always the same excuses. I finally called him and he told me the estimate had been approved and they could start the repairs (Yes of course I had to call because he sure as hell was not going to). I then told him I did not want my car repaired and that I was going to sell it like that at an auction and I was going to take the cash pay out instead. He assured me it would be no problem and he would issue the cheque and sent it out first thing the next day.
A few days went by still no cheque and of course no follow up from him so I decided to call in (Many calls and messages left once again before I talked to him). He told me 'The cheque is approved and is sent in the mail, you should be getting it soon''. I waited a couple more days and of course no cheque in the mail, no follow up once again. I called in again, he then told me there is a lien on the car and he cannot issue the cheque to just my name. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Why would you lie and tell me it's approved and sent out only for me to keep calling and being told it's not even approved yet! I know there was a lien on the car, he should have simply told me it had to be in both names and that would have been that. I am well aware of how it works. Why lie to me? He then instead of actually sending the cheque like I asked several times, sent me and e-mail stating I should get the car repaired instead It's my car, my choice and I made it clear many times what I wanted but once again I was given the run around. I had to call in AGAIN and tell him to send the cheque. He told me no problem he would send it out the next morning. I was running the car at the auction the Thursday so Wednesday I called in to get an update to see when the cheque should be coming in. He then tells me oh it has not been approved yet! Are you kidding me? So why tell me you were sending it out the next morning if it's not even approved yet, why lie AGAIN! I delayed my car running at the auction because I did not want to sell it without having the cheque in hand. I then called Japesh to explain to him the car was running through auction and I needed the cheque before the following Thursday. He assured me you should have it no problem bla bla bla. I ran the car through auction and it sold. It sold for less then what I owed for obvious reasons so I needed the cheque to pay off my lien. I had one day to pay the lien off if not the auction could not release my car. I called in to talk to Japesh and no answer and left messages but of course no follow up. I waited till Friday afternoon to see if the cheque would come in like Japesh told me it would but It did not so I had to make other arrangements to pay off the remainder of the balance on the car if not I had to take the car back.
I finally ended up contacting Japesh and told him I had sold my car and that the cheque he had sent with my name and lien holders name would not work as the lien was paid off. He then asked me to send in proof of the lien pay off, which I did. He then tells me no it's not good enough even though it's literally the paper the bank gave me. I then had to make calls to the bank to figure out what other papers they could give me for him to send the new cheque. I sent him another paper from the bank and then he told me that one works. He told me the cheque would be sent out right away After my experience with the first cheque I knew I was going to be messed around with so I asked him if Allstate could simply do an e-transfer to cut down all the hassle and for me to pay back the difference of the car I had to pay out of pocket due to lies and wasted time from Japesh on the first cheque. He told me yes sometimes they do it, he would look into it and call me back... Hahahah boy what an idiot I was for believing him. Of course, he never called back! I then sent my final e-mail to Japesh on March 25th (Yes over a month later still not resolved)! I expressed my concern about the whole situation and asked once again about the e-transfer. I also asked him to get a manager involved or at the very least to give me the contact information to a manager I could contact because I wasn't going to hold my breath for someone to call me back. Surprise surprise, Japesh never replied to my e-mail, never got a manger involved or sent me information on what manager I could talk to about this.
I have never received such bad service and especially considering it was not even my fault. The follow up service from Allstate insurance is by far the worse thing I have ever experienced; I honestly don't even understand how Allstate is still in business. I also can't believe I was lied to more than once.
I have since bought a new vehicle that I did not insure with Allstate and I have cancelled all my vehicles with Allstate. I also got a quote from Cooperators for the same vehicles I had insured with Allstate and They were $300 less a year. I am so frustrated with Allstate insurance. The only person in all of this that has actually done her job properly and followed up is Natasha Gaudet. It's too bad that only once I cancel everything and lived through this hell of making a claim that now someone follows up. Natasha asked me if in one year when I am due for renewal if I would consider getting a quote from Allstate if this whole situation got resolved. I told her that if this got resolved I would consider.
Please note that I will also be doing an online review as I don't want other people to go through what I just had to go through. I went through sleepless nights, I had to waste so much time at work to get a hold of anyone over there. People should know what kind of service to expect once Allstate already has your money.

Allstate Insurance Employee's racial gestures & profanity

I understand that Treva Caster (an Allstate employee), works at the Ryan Owens Agency and not at the Heidelberger Agency, but I cannot consider Allstate Insurance after the abuse and harassment myself, my wife, and our daughter, have received from Tom and Treva Caster ever since they found out that that my wife was Asian.

They have told the other neighbors that the reason they moved from their old neighborhood, was that a Burmese family had moved in the vicinity of their home.

Now…their full-time occupation is to make us sell our home and move.

I understand that this is a subject that no one at Allstate wants to address from conversations with Allstate customer service, but it needs to be addressed.

I have videos and photos of the harassment from Tom & Treva Caster.

Allstate Insurance Condo insurance

Cost went up 57% year/over year, (no claims) so I asked for wind and water coverage be removed since the unit is on the 12th floor of a concrete building.

Through serious foot dragging in underwriting, combined with my unavailability to provide some crazy hand written document to underwriting in a short period period of time, they are saying the policy is now in effect and they will not modify coverage.

I did provice the document - hand written, but they stat they received it after the renewal date - which was not made a criteria to me.

I suggest that their foot dragging in underwriting is an unfair marketing practice method on their part to frustrate the consumer into accepting unreasonably large policy increases in second year.

Desired outcome: Removal of the un-needed coverage and reduction of premium back to a normal level.

Allstate Insurance Hail damage considered "cosmetic damage"... Its damage

I just noticed that Allstate has been charging me extra for an additional driver...THAT DOES NOT EXIST...for the last 4 years! Upon request to remove the fictitious person, I got an email that said that they couldn't do it. My agent then tells me that happens all of the time (adding an "undisclosed driver", that is incorrect) and that I had to call to get...

Allstate Insurance Accident/Disability

On May 9, 2023, I shattered my kneecap and injured my thigh. Had surgery and a spent several days in the hospital. For 20 or so years I have paid Allstate each month in case I ever injured myself and couldn't work. Thought I was all set. Finally, the time has come to make a claim, but after all the GREAT amounts of paperwork completed (and one doctor charged me $20 to fill out an Allstate form), I was denied. No explanation. And when I tried to call them to find out the reason for the denial, they gave me the run around. I never got an explanation.

Save your money and don't purchase an Allstate policy through work. Allstate is a scam.

Desired outcome: Tell me what to do so that I can receive the amount due.

Allstate Insurance Homeowners insurance

Large hail storm swept through my city and my house suffered extensive hail and wind damage, as well as most of my other neighbors within a 2-mile radius.

Every house on my block is getting their roof replaced by insurance, except mine. Allstate has denied estimates and inspections from multiple contractors, AND independent paid inspectors, who ALL have stated in writing, with pictures, that my entire roof suffered hail damage and it ALL needs to be replaced. Allstate still denies that there's ANY hail damage on my shingles, which are only 10 years old.

Desired outcome: Allstate pays to replace my entire roof of my small house, just 30 squares.
