hi i bought a second hand french door with a damaged hinge
i contacted anglian customer services to order a new part
anglian windows would not deal with me as they said they could not idetify me as the customer, and would only sell a replacement part to the original client
so anyone out there who buys a new house ?/ and wants a perlacement part for an anglian product beware !beware ! beware ! as you are not recognised as their client and they do not sell to the trade so your handy man or regular repair company cannot purchase from anglian windows only anglian fitters will do and guess what you will pay thro the nose for their servce
so no thanks will not be recommending them to anyone greedy so and soes so beware

It has been brought to my attention that you are experiencing some trouble with trying to get replacement parts for your french door.
If you could email us at blog@anglianhome.com with your name, address and when the product was originally bought, we shall check to see if the product is still in guarantee as there could be a possibility that the guarantee has not be transferred into your name.

Bought a conservatory 2002 extremely expensive at the time, called them for spare parts, as the roof panels have slide into the gutter.
Apparently they do not stock spare parts, as it is now out of warranty !
We had also had new windows with them, so basically when your warranty ends that's the end of life for there products.
I would never purchase another of there products, as many other companys offer a better service for a fraction of there cost.
Really do they expect you to buy again from them !

I had a similar experience with Anglian. We bought a fairly expensive conservatory from them, with a 10 year guarantee. Luckily we started getting a leak (not lucky about the leak), just before the guarantee ended. They sent someone round, who applied silicon where they thought the problem was. Unfortunately for us, we had a long weather dry spell. Then it rained, and the carried-out repair work was ineffective. So I rang Anglian back, only to be told the conservatory guarantee was no longer valid. It had just run out! Even though their fix hadn’t work. Tough luck. No, I would never recommend them.
