Feldco Window installation

Had windows installed over a year ago, Now as we were checking around the house found aluminum, laying on the ground. After inspecting the windows, the aluminum they put around the windows to look PRETTY, is stuck in and calked on. After calling and complaining to the Warranty depart. The Lady stated "Its up to the home owner to keep the windows caulked" Well I would if the damn metal was put in right. I have walls around my windows exposed to the out side elements. Going to have to have a contractor come in and if it and send the bill to Feldco. I wish you could send me a email address, I will send you some of the PRETTY installation on windows you will ever see. I put the old windows in myself and if you call you installers experienced, I must be a MASTER WINDOW INSTALLER. No one will read this, so why even say anything. But I will DOWN AND TELL EVRYONE NOT TO BUY YOUR WINDOWS!

Feldco door lock

i have been having problems with the lock mechanism since the purchase.

I have placed several service calls and it has been two weeks with no lock on my door and still no answers and delayed. This is very frustrating as this has happened often and every time we have delays. Our door is currently unlocked and a huge security issue in addition to it letting in cold air during this horrible winter time. I need this fixed asap. Help.

Feldco Garage Door/Garage Door Opener

On May 5, 2022, FELDCO personnel came to install a garage door. Beautiful product. The staff said our wiring was corroded. It took me awhile to get an electrician here. The electrician determined after a thorough inspection of an hour that there wasn't any corroded wiring. A couple of times a week I would email the district manager to find when the garage door opener would be installed. He never replied. Finally the product was installed October 6. I told Jason we demand the $150 paid to the electrician be refunded. Still waiting. Also, the light bulb from the new unit wasn't working. He took the bulb out of the old unit. Still not working. Beautiful product. No customer service skills. We would never go to FELDCO again.

Feldco Service

On March 18, 2022, I contacted Feldco to request a free estimate.

I was advise by the customer service that Feldco would not come out to apply vinyl siding to the eave overhang on my home. The customer service rep stated. " They would only do complete jobs and would have to remove all of my side to cover the eave overhang. " My response why would I let you remove siding off my home and for you to cover such a small area.

I advise the the vinyl siding and soffit are in good condition.

That would cause me to have to pay unnessary work.

I advise customer rep that I have been a customer for over 20 years.

Feldco installed all windows, vinyl siding and soffit to my home.

I am very disappointed at the response to my request

After spending thousand of dollar with Feldco. I guess this job was to small.

Feldco 4 months to fix a leaky door

Had a leaking window in my front door I purchased from FELDCO. I called in early October to ask for warranty service. They sent someone to evaluate the door. They had no idea what was wrong or why it was leaking. He asked me if he should put some caulk on it. I said, "you tell me" I'm not a door technician. He decided to caulk the window and promised I would receive a call from the service department by the end of the week. That didn't happen. After 2 weeks I called the service department and was told that a replacement window was ordered but would be at least 6 more weeks. I asked if they had intended to call me or just wait till they got the window in? He said he had been on vacation and that no one does his job while he is gone. Really? Not the service I was promised when I purchased my windows and doors! I expressed my dissatisfaction and he promised to request an express delivery of window and to get back to me as soon as possible. I heard nothing for weeks . Called several times to his personal extension and got no answer and no return calls. Finally in February I was able to get a nice girl to answer the phone. She had no idea what I was talking about. She promised to look into it and call me back within 30 minutes. She did not. The following day I called again and she told me she had found the window. It was sitting in the service area. She did schedule the service and the new window was installed. In the mean time I ended up having to purchase and install a storm door to avoid leaking and ruining the interior of my home. Over 4 months from initial leak to the warranty work being completed is unacceptable! And don't try to blame it on COVID! This was not a supply issue. It was clearly a terrible service issue. The only time I was contacted by FELDCO during this 4 month period was by someone asking me about my satisfaction with my purchases. When I expressed my dissatisfaction I was told she couldn't help me but I could call the service department. Then why did she call if she can't help someone who isn't satisfied. I was promised outstanding warranty service when I purchased the windows and doors. I spent more fore your product because of the promised service and superior quality. That was a big mistake on my part. The worst part is a referred my son to you after the initial install and he is experiencing a very similar issue. Had windows installed a few months ago and now has one leaking. Can't get it fixed. Calls not returned. It appears FELDCO needs to fix the service department.

Feldco Service complaint

I signed a contract on 8/13/22 for a storm door with a time frame of 12-16weeks and made payment. The door was measured and ordered by Feldco on 8/25/21. Upon the16week deadline of 12/15/21, I called Feldco numerous times for status which each time I was told they did not receive the door from the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer (Provia) and they confirmed my door was sent to Feldco weeks ago. I called Feldco back numerous more times to get an installation date, I was told the door was still not there, no follow-up on Feldco regarding this issue, and I was transferred to a scheduling voicemail which I left many voicemails without call backs. On 1/5/22 my door still was not installed but I did receive a call from Feldco's customer service regarding the "finalization" of my door, asking if the installation went well and if I had any issues with the product. I complained to this Felco individual and was transferred to someone else at Feldco to again tell me they still didn't have my door. Per my signed contract with Feldco, the installation must take place within six months of the signed contract or I can request reimbursement which the deadline is 2/13/22. Today is 2/2/22 and my door still is not installed nor have I heard from Feldco since 1/5/22. Therefore, I called Feldco demanding an installation date within ten days as the contract is ending or reimburse me. They offered to call me back which was not acceptable, I held on the phone for a while, and spoke to Alexa who told me the door has been there for several weeks (approx. 1/7/22 - I still did not hear from Feldco for a month if this is true while I've been following-up for two months), she said the next available installation date is Friday at 10a-1p, we agreed to the date, and we discontinued the call. Due to me experience with Feldco, I felt the need to call Feldco back to confirm the date and thankfully I did because I was told by Heather that the installation date was scheduled for Wednesday 2/16. Obviously, this is unacceptable date because it is past the contract deadline. It is evident that Feldco is providing significant misinformation and extremely poor customer service to their customers. I've been given a run around for months, the company did not handle this matter with care, concern, or assurance during this process, and did not provide standard follow-up communication. I'm beyond frustrated that Feldco allowed this to happen and continue for months on end by misinforming me along with repetitive sloppy, unprofessional customer service.

Desired outcome: Seamless installation on 2/11/22, a call from driver 1/2 hr prior to arriving and a percentage of the total cost be reimbursed or discounted at time of installation.

Feldco Leaking windows

The salesperson and installer gave me the answers I was looking for with the promise that the leaks that we have been experiencing in our basement windows would no longer occur. So, I signed an agreement and paid them $2, 197.00. Within one week of installation, we had more leaks than the previous windows had (the previous windows were over 55 years old). Our basement had water! I filed a complaint with feldco. They sent out a technician and said I would hear within 3-5 business days. After one month with no reply, I contacted feldco a second time. They sent out another technician and said that the caulking needed a silicone seal. We followed up and asked when they would come and they said they would not be. I had to negotiate a resolution with the salesman. Now two weeks have passed and am still hearing nothing. Do not use feldco. They have excuses and take your money!

Feldco product requested was not installed

I contacted your company and believed that I ordered and purchased a garden window for my kitchen. On the day of installation a plain window was installed. I immediately contacted the company and was told to allow installation to continue and problem would be resolved. Contacted today by Juan general manager, who tells me, #1 well a garden window costs 4000 dollars, #2 why would you let them install the window, #3 Not sure what you want me to do #4 Garden window won't git in your window.
At this point I am very dissatisfied and frustrated with your customer service. I do not know where the error in this process occurred but I would as a recurring customer, at least appreciate a modicum of consideration in finding a reasonable resolution to this situation.

Feldco tried to get a quote

I called Feldco windows. They asked if I was the owner of the house. I said why yes my husband and I are the home owners. They said well is your husband around because we cant come give you a quote with out talking to him and him being there when they came out. I said well he works so you get me. They said we can not do it without his consent because it is such a big cosmetic change. I said hold up a minute! Are you actually saying that you can not give me a quote because I am merely a woman and need my husbands permission? Do you think I am surprising him with this?! Like I am going to suddenly spring new windows on him out of the blue?!?!? I am the one with the money! I am the one that will be paying for the windows but you are telling me that you need him to tell you that I have his permission to change out the windows in a house that is half mine?!?! If he called you and said yeah I want my windows done would you ask him if he had my permission!?!?!? Needless to say I hung up on them after I went off. I can not believe this BS! Because I am a mere lowly woman I must get permission from a man to pay to make changes to my own home! UGH! I think I may call back tomorrow just to go off on the managers!

Feldco Poor customer service

I had two windows that the seal broke, and a sash broke on one of the windows. The tilt latches on several windows were broken, the crank on one window was broken. All the double hung windows fall down from the top and I was told that I just have to deal with it. The weather stripping on one of the windows will not stay in place and again, I was told that I just have to deal with it. I asked several times to have an itemized list of repairs sent to me but that was not done. The service person came to make the repairs and did not have the correct crank for the window. The service person was visibly irritated and used unprofessional language that made me sick to my stomach. The replacement sash does not match the other window in the room. It is a side by side double hung window and I asked that both sashes to be replaced but I was told by manager, Chris Cizmar, "You already have it in your head that it will not match. Just wait and see."
Don't use Feldco unless you want to waste your money and deal with unprofessional people.

Feldco Wrong window unable to resolve

Purchased windows from Feldco before and were pleased with the quality and installation. We then ordered a living room window and requested the same installers (which was agreeded to) we got different installers and had issues with the window. It was not measured correctly and looks terrible in our living room. We called Feldco and they came out to look at it and agreed it had issues. That was the week after Christmas and the last we heard from them. We have made numerous calls to their inept customer service department to get it fixed. We have even left messages for the customer service manager and have not gotten a response. To date the issue is not resolved. Would not recommend this company. The windows are ok but trying to get issues resolved is impossible.

Feldco Lack of compassion & care

Feldco delivered the wrong glass inserts to our home in 2012. They did not want to fix this issue and it took 6 months of fighting with them to get Feldco to replace the inserts. Then my finance was fired from his job this past Friday and Feldco will not work with us in any way to lower the payments. Matter of fact Feldco said if we do not pay off this door by March then we will owe an additional 800 dollars. We have always made our payments on time and have always made the minimum. Why is it that every other bills is willing to work with us except for Feldco? Our mortage offered to give us a year of no payments, Sallie Mae waived all of our payments for a year, Discovered lower the interest rate, Visa lowered the interest rate, and our car payments were lowered.

Feldco Took my commissions

I was a top selling rep. Fired for no reason. Office manager a jerk from day one. They took my commissions that I earned. Filing a complaint with the state. Employee beware. Everything is paid on the back end and they decide how much you get. Even if someone else screws up like the installers of the job was miss measured. I should have known there was something wrong with this company when they told me half my bonus's would be paid in cash so I woudn't have to pay taxes on them. Very shady and I am sure illegal. A long story but I assure you that you will be suprised when what they promise and what you get are 2 completely different things.

Feldco Bad Warranty

Purchased 8 Windows fom Feldco in 2005 with a lifetime warranty. Called today to have one of the windows which will not stay open to be repaired. Was informed that there would be a $85.00 service call fee. I was informed by the sales person when I purchased these windows that I would NEVER have to pay any cost for repairs, even if I accidently broke the glass. Very dissatisfied with this company.

Feldco Bad practices

Listen up shoppers, because I have the scoop.

I own an entire home of Feldco Sophia windows. (21)
They leak, and they don't fit or guide well. They are a mistake.

You absolutely can get similar quality for less.

My installers rushed through the process so quickly, that by the

time I noticed the multitude of mistakes, they had damaged or

destroyed the casement along half of my windows. This was after I

specifically asked them to only perform an install from the outside

in. They did the opposite, and I had to call their office to get

the work stopped. Months later, along with numerous arguments, they

agreed to replace the casement damage with replacements that would

be unfinished. I was two months into not being satisfied, and I

still had a giant amount of refinishing to do on my time and with

my money.

Let's talk warranty. Feldco warranties you from spending any more

money on their windows for a lifetime. BUT...after five years you

will pay both a service call fee as well as all labor charges. That

boils down to me having to pay $135 for the replacement of glass in

one half of a double pane window. Really though, I just paid for

the window all over again.

I've left a metric ton of frustration out, but be warned. This

company is not professional or ethical. Run.

Ryan came to my mothers home to give her an estimate on windows. Being as I was there I expressed my feelings on his pushy and volitile nature. Reguardless my mother hired feldco to do the windows with a three day option to cancel. When she decided to cancel the salesmen was very rude and personally insulting. I understand he is unhappy he lost a sale but she is not happy with the color of the windows nor the hardware and was pressured into a sale. I find it very disturbing that someone or anyone can or will take advantage of an elderly person.

I had 2 employees of feldco come to my home to give an estimate on replacing some windows. We decided to purchase, signed agreement and gave manager Jason Merrick a check for 50% of the total cost. He told us we had 3 days to cancel order. The next day we did some product comparison and decided another company has a better product for the money. We mailed back the right to cancel order that day and I called manager Jason and told him of my decision, He assured me my check would be triple shredded immediately! They seemed very trustworthy and I didn't realloy worry about it until about 3 days later my check had already been cashed! So much for triple shredding. My husband spoke with Jason again who assured him our money would be refunded. So far no money has been received and Jason will not return my calls! I am not giving up on getting my money back as it was a sizable amount.
