Applebee's Disappointing Experience at Applebee's in North Platte: Poor Service and Quality of Food

This Applebee's in North Platte was a real disappointment. We've been there a few times before and it's never been great, but this time was especially bad. The wait staff seemed to forget about us and we had to remind them about our drinks a few times. When they finally came, they were wrong. We also had to ask for silverware and napkins, which should have been on the table already. The food was not good either. We were celebrating our twins' 21st birthday, so we were in a good mood, but the poor quality of the food really brought us down. The prices have gone up, but the quality has gone way down. We got our plates at different times, and my son never even got his salmon until we had to ask for it. The final straw was when my daughter ordered a medium steak and it came out rare. We asked for a new one, but even that one was still too rare. The waitress was apologetic, but it was just too much. We don't recommend wasting your time or money here. We're all in the food service industry ourselves, so we know how hard it can be, but this was just unacceptable.

Applebee's Disappointing Experience at Applebees: Overpriced Oriental Chicken Salad with No Dressing

I recently visited the Applebees located on the 5th floor of the Costanera Center. I was craving a salad, so I decided to order the Oriental Chicken Salad. The picture of the dish on the menu looked so appetizing, I couldn't resist. However, when the salad arrived, I was disappointed to see that it was served on a flat plate instead of a bowl. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, small pieces of cabbage and carrot, and six to eight breaded chicken pieces that looked like they were cut from chicken fingers.

To my surprise, there was no dressing on the salad. Instead, I was brought olive oil and balsamic vinegar to pour on top. I couldn't believe it! Who puts olive oil and balsamic vinegar on an Oriental Salad? It should have come with a nice Asian-style dressing. The only thing that made the salad slightly oriental was the little bag of crispy noodle strips that I could sprinkle on top.

To make matters worse, the price I paid for the salad was way too high for what I received. I felt like I was ripped off. I was so disappointed with my experience that I don't think I'll ever go back to this restaurant again.

Overall, I was not impressed with my visit to Applebees. The salad I ordered was not what I expected, and the price was too high for what I received. I hope they improve their menu and service in the future.

Applebee's Unprofessional Bartender at Applebee's in Farmington, NM: A Customer's Review

Me and my family are regulars at Applebee's in Farmington, New Mexico. We used to go there all the time to relax and enjoy our evening with some beer and good food. However, lately we haven't been going there as much because of some issues we've been having with one of the bartenders.

This bartender has been gossiping about us to other customers while on company time. We don't appreciate this kind of behavior, especially from someone who is supposed to be a professional. The gossip has even spread to other places like Buffalo Wild Wings and Sunray casino.

We reported this issue to the management, but unfortunately, they didn't seem to take it seriously. The manager told us to quit harassing their employee, even though we never directly confronted the bartender. We thought we were going through the proper channels by reporting the issue to management.

As paying customers, we believe that we deserve an apology from the management. We don't think it's too much to ask for the bartender to be reprimanded for her unprofessional behavior. We love going to Applebee's and we miss it, but we don't want to deal with this kind of drama.

Overall, we hope that the management takes our concerns seriously and addresses the issue with the bartender. We just want to be able to enjoy our time at Applebee's without any drama or gossip. Thank you for listening.

Applebee's Disappointing Experience at Applebee's: Poor Service and Quality Cuts of Steak

Applebee's used to be a really good place to eat. They had good food and the service was top-notch. I remember the bourbon street steak being a really good meal. It was a decent size and it was a ribeye cut. But then, they increased the price. I still ordered it because it was good. But then they changed the cut to sirloin instead of ribeye. That was a big mistake. And then, they made it smaller and increased the price again? Really? I'm never ordering the bourbon street steak again because now it's just not good. I would pay $23 for the original ribeye bourbon street if they offered it again.

Now, let's talk about the service. Every single time I go, they mess up my order. The last time I went with my husband and son, they never even brought me my food. The waitress stood there and said "how is everything" while I had NOTHING in front of me! They are complete idiots.

I really think that Applebee's is going to be a dying chain. They need to get their act together if they want to stay in business. I would sell your stock now if you have any.

Applebee's Manager and employee

Girl named jadyn Orlando ( server ) came up to my buddy and started threatening him and harassing him in front of everybody in the store so I called a manager to get under control( Steve Watson ) to resolve the situation and he let it happend the proceeded to kick out the by standard (me) for trying to get a unprofessional employee working a corporate job to apologize and to realize you cannot do that on the job . Also comes down to I’m never aloud at Applebees again because I asked the managers to get his employeee in check and told me no . I will be going back again and having the police involved if this can’t be fixed because it’s very ridicules and unprofessional to kick someone out after ur employeee just told a person to go to hell go f*** themselves, hope you die in a car crash. That stuff is not exaptable and I’ve already contacted corporate two times and it’s still not fixed cuz I was told to get out of store by Steve watson( manager ) or cops will be called. This just is un accapteble at any job. Honestly all I’m looking for is to not get kicked out applesbees for something I didn’t doo. And get a new manager or teach him to be better because he does not know how to manage a business. Applebee's Manager at your st augustine fl location

June 1/2023 at aprox 6.30 pm while having dinner we noticed several customers waiting to be seated for about 5 min.There was a loud meeting in the back room/kitchen.Several more customers came in and still waiting.Iwent to the kitchen and interupted the meeting and said you have customers waiting .I was told by the manager jenna to leave as i was interupting a meeting .I told her the meeting was loud and should be done in a more customer conscious manner.Jenna said she could give me a bill and ask me to leave.My wife and myself felt she was out of order and could have handeled this matter in a more professional way.I paid alex our bill and left him a tip and left as my wife was upset and did not finish her meal.We drove about 40 miles to your place looking forward to i quiet dinner wrong.Jenna came over to us and said she called hr to get ahead of this .

Applebee's Order # [protected]

Good Afternoon, I am reaching out due to a huge issue that happened to my husband as he was eating the mashed potatoes in order number Order # [protected]. He bit into a metal sharp small rod that was placed at the bottom of the mashed potato cup. It pierced his jaw line. It is old and rusty and now I am also concerned of bacteria, as I am a nurse. This is totally unacceptable and I cannot believe a team member would not have looked in that cup before placing in the mashed potatoes, which I am sure they looked which means that was placed intentionally in my opinion. We have ordered from this Applebee's numerous of times and have never had an issue. This is disgusting and I cannot believe this really happened. Not even sure what cooking tools were even being used like that, but I do not think it was kitchen tools, which makes this even more absurd. I request a contact back immediately, I am taking this further so this never happens again or to any one else for that matter. I am attaching pictures as well below with exact mashed potato cup and the infected piece of metal that my husband bit on and luckily did not swallow. Not even to mention the psychologically traumatic issue now all for negligence, or how this could have punctured my husbands esophagus and GI system.

Desired outcome: I want a contact back immediately. I expect compensation for this food that is supposed to be clean and safe and for the psychological damage. This is my First step in notifying management and higher.

Applebee's Management and unlawful termination

I started Applebees in a training store and any “skills” I was supposed to learn were glossed over and signed off even though I didn’t get the training. I was then assigned to a store where it was just the Director of Operations and me. I had a kitchen coo loose his temper and started screaming at me during a dinner rush and had to send him home. I wrote him up and it was never served on him by the DO. That same employee was then promoted to manager and started making up accusations against me. Going as far as to say I stole from the safe. I had to send another employee home for screaming and swearing at me and she sent out a chat threatening to punch me in the face. Other employees say it and I had written statements. She was allowed to stay there. The comanager that was making accusations against me then got promoted to General Manager. One day he came up to me with a folded over piece of paper and said I had to sign it. I unfolded the paper and saw it was a blank “Prgressive Discipline” form. I asked him if I was on discipline and was told no but I had to sign the form. He also told me he came in and found the office safe b wide open, the office unlocked and a heating unit left on in the kitchen. All of which I knew was not true but I could not argue because he had a habit of blowing up on employees. I called the Director of Operations, my supervisors boss, and asked him b directly if I was on any Progressive discipline. He told me I was not. He said my manager could handled the situation better. A week later the Director of Operations does my performance appraisal. He goes over general store information and does not bring up any performance related concerns. Come up to 5/5/23. I show up for work and get asked to wait in the office able my supervisor and the director of operations call me via phone and tell me that I have had poor performance since February. That there supposedly numerous employee statements against me and I b was going to be terminated for performance. I was then locked out of my electronic company access which I need to provide proof of my last paycheck stubs. I have not been provided a termination letter at my request. I also had a work comp injury that I just received a bill for from the hospital stating the policy was not in effective at my b time off injury. I had also notified my supervisor that I was on a special Holter monitor for my heart as I was experience concerning health symptoms. His response was to challenge that of my health would be good enough to work in the busy summer season. This is an violation.

Desired outcome: I want all documentation about my “Progressive Discipline” And official termination documents sent to me. I am pursuing the violation about my ability to work in another manner.

Applebee's Hostess / waitress / manager

On 4/10/2023, I brought my sister out for drinks after she’d had a bad day. She’d received some bad news concerning her baby, who was with us. I’m still in my work uniform. We order our food and our drinks and I pay for the order and ask for a to go plate. I plate up our appetizers and steak we ordered and went to the bathroom leaving the plate and ticket on the table. When I came back, the plate was thrown away. Note, this was $85.61 dollars of food and drinks…We proceed at ask the waitress for the manager and the manager arrives and was quite rude. As a manager at a major retail chain dealing with customers, her customer service was not up to par. I am highly dissatisfied. And on top of that, the manager accused us of “making fun” of the waitress… we were having drinks and apps… are laughs not allowed? Because we are having a good time, we had to be mocking our waitress? I made sure I was polite, made eye contact and said thanks.

Desired outcome: A refund or percentage off for my inconvenience is appreciated.

Applebee's Bussing of tables.

Applebee's in LaVale Maryland. The busters take five to six trips back to the kitchen because there is no little cart with wheels and a basket on top what kind of craziness is this people are waiting to be seated but yet tables are dirty! You have to take dirty dishes from one table to another dirty table because it's craziness that she doesn't have a cart that she could possibly clear one or two tables at one time and take one trip to the kitchen instead of 10. All the money y'all make you better get a grip and regroup.

Applebee's Former employee treated poorly

I’m a former employee of the Applebee’s in Pottstown on State St. I was a hostess. On Saturday, December 24th, I was scheduled from 1pm-8pm. I had asked my manager if I could leave early, as the restaurant wasn’t busy & there were 3 other hosts scheduled to come in. He said that I could leave at 4pm when another host came in. When 4pm came around, the host came in, & the manager had asked me to stay another hour because the other host was running late. I obliged. At 6pm, I asked the hosts if they were okay if I had left, alerted my manager, then clocked out & went home. On Monday, December 26th, I came in for my shift at 4pm, only to be told by the same manager that I was not allowed to work that day because I had “abandoned” my Saturday shift. I had explained to him that he had allowed me to go, but he insisted that I left without warning & he was under the impression that I had quit. I was told that I was not allowed to work until I spoke to the general manager. Today, on Wednesday, December 28th, I had planned to go in for my 4pm shift, only to find out that my entire schedule for the week had been taken away, & all of my shifts were available to be picked up by other hosts. I had tried to pick them up, only to have my requests denied immediately. About an hour later, I logged onto Stafflinq to find that my name was no longer listed under “team members.” I take this as I have been fired, though I was never given a warning nor had the opportunity to speak to the general manager about what had happened on Saturday & discussing my employment going forward. I find it very unjust & unfair that I was fired without any verbal warning, especially after a miscommunication that I was never offered an opportunity to defend myself over. The general manager refused to speak to me. I heard from another employee that the manager who had sent me home had told them that he came up to the host stand to look for me around 5pm to send me home, but claimed that I was gone. This is false, as I didn’t leave until 6pm. I was told that he needed me to finish my shift until 8pm so desperately on Saturday, but if that were true, why was he on his way to send me home at 5pm? Something is not right & I feel as though I was treated very poorly.

Desired outcome: Either to have my job back or have something done about the managers.

Applebee's How manager handled returning left wallet

I am Lavorne Roselle, after dining at table #10 and waited on by Nicholas D. and having a great dinner with my senior friend and I. We checked our receipts so I got up with my poketbook and looked under the light at the table across. I left my wallet which was under my poketbook and with my poketbook on my shoulder I rushed to go to the ladies room. We were seated in front of the wait station which had a lot of activity from the wait staff going back and forth. I did not see it coming back from the bathroom, Within Fifteen minutes passed and I realized my wallet was missing so I called the restaurant to see if they found it, They said no. It was a young woman that answered. I said I just left a few minutes ago, please ask again I haven't gone anywhere else it's there. I help for a few minutes and she said, Yes we have it. Ok go bar and ask the manager has it, ok I skipped the bar and walked over to the managers office. I walked to the office and asked for my wallet and thanked them, an older bald man white handed it to an hispanic male, named Roberto Garcia, upon touching it, it was slimmer lighter and I flipped it over and it was open and unzipped. I asked who returned it to you. Someone has gone through my wallet. Garcia was upset at my questioning because,..."I don't hire any thieves or people that steal.." I said I just asked you who returned it. Then I said do you have cameras, he said, "Yes", I said ok can you look at it and tell me or document who took it. No. this went on I said this can be resolved, especially if they are still here. He refused and started talking about my winter boots and how he should put me in there to wash dishes. Odd, so I said this is a serious situation which has legal consequences I asked for a pen to write his name down and he refused. He was becoming more irate and drawing a crowd of his workers around and I asked can we speak somewhere quietly. NO I want you out. Then he said, ok, I found it, then I said why, and he said, Get out! I had to call the police to intervene and get the info I needed and file a police report cancel my Bank cards put alerts on my account, because your staff acting unprofessionally and not following legal procedures for lost wallets. Secure it, get all info what, when, who, where, if no one comes for it, it goes to the police department immediately. The supposed insult about him sending me to clean dishes was rude and I considered it racist and unnecessary, (I am an Afro Am), his attitude of, loudly proclaiming he doesn't hire thieves, as his workers crowded around, work shut down while we were talking about a serious topic and treating me as though I stole my own wallet, criminal and unprofessional all around. My waiter was great very helpful attentive, positive attitude. The manager should get more training on how to deal with customers serious complaint in a professional manner or fire him. He's insensitive, inappropriate and doesn't have resolution skills, he works for Applebees not his friends. His attitude and actions ruined our experience.

Desired outcome: Look at the video the manager said he has and see what happened. 12/23/22 7:12 pm paid bill $33.58

Applebee's Food and service

Hello,

Since it has been awhile since we have been to an Applebee's, we decided to go there this afternoon. We went to the one in Streetsboro Ohio.

We started with the Chicken Wonton Taco's, and we all had the French Onion Soup.

I and my daughter decided to try the Neighborhood Double burger, and my wife had the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp.

Overall, were were all very dissatisfied with the entre's. The taco's, onion soup, and fries were good, but the entre's left a lot to be desired.

First off, my wife's chick was not in any way Cajun spiced. It only had salt and pepper as near as she could tell. Certainly not what we are used to getting when we order Cajun style food.

Our burgers, as you can see for yourself in the attache photo, was obviously one patty, cut in half, cooked, and stacked on top each other, instead of being two full patties. See the very straight side on one side of each supposed patty!

We feel cheated.

In addition to there issues, we were put off of the idea of complaining right then, as with the exception of the bartender, the staff all had dour looks on their faces, and our waitress actually looked like she had been crying earlier. I can only imagine what must have happened to put them all in that kind of mood.
