University Kia No return call - not providing the promised refund

Last July, I purchased a 2022 Kia Seltos from Corey Lewis at University Kia. Process went fine. As it was used, I paid $3523 for the additional warranty and I was told that when I traded it in (which I indicated I woul be doing the next year) that this amount would be refunded.

I purchased a new 2024 Kia Seltos from Galeana Kia (Fort Myers) on June 20, 2023 - and they provided me with the paper work I needed to give to University Kia in Huntsville to process my refund and assured me it was a fairly simple process.

I have called and left messages - I have emailed - I have used the text and chat contact feature - I have contacted the corporate - I have posted on the University Kia and Kia United States FB pages - I have emailed and called Micheal Lucente the sales manager - every day since June 28 and I have not received one call back.

This dealership wants you to buy from them, but they REFUSE to provide common customer service by calling customers back.

Absolutely unacceptable. Why can't they stand by what they said? Why can't someone call me back?

Desired outcome: I would like University Kia to contact me so my refund can be processed

University Kia Finance dept ran my credit 7 additional times without my authorization

I went into Kia University Huntsville for the possible purchase of a vehicle. I am not only perplexed but extremely aggravated to wake up to alerts that 8 hard inquiries have hit my credit report when I ONLY gave authorization for 1. I was neither asked/told that my credit would be ran 7 additional times by the sales person or the finance department. Which the finance department should no better than to do without prior authorization. I understand that the ultimate goal is to SELL the car but it should NEVER supercede good business ethics. This type of back handed, unthoughtful and unethical type of behavior ADVERSELY affects my credit score and diminishes my purchasing power. As I explained to my sales representative when I FIRST met came in of the apprehension of running my credit bcuz I was already fighting identity theft to restore my credit with the bureaus so I would NEVER AUTHORIZE my credit to be ran 8x..THATS RIDICULOUS AND IT became an UNSCRUPULOUS & ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICE when i was not alerted or asked prior to running my credit 7 additional times..YOU DON'T & CANNOT DO THAT TO PEOPLE...ITS NOT LEGAL. The decision of how many times you run someone else's credit is NOT up to the finance dept to decide. You must ask the customers permission for each and every time you are running their credit...PERIODTT Needless to say I will be contacting a lawyer as well as leaving a review regarding this experience with the FINANCE TEAM on every platform I see that Kia University is listed to WARN others of the illegal practices being used there. However, JB the sales consultant was very nice.

Desired outcome: Acknowledge wrong doing and rectify

University Kia service dept, and management

I have bought two vehicles from this dealership, my most recent was a new 2019 Kia Sorento, I was bringing it into the dealership for all it's services. On several occassions I experienced issues with my service from not getting the car was I asked for to the most recent paying for my tires to be rotated and it not happening. I mark my tires because I believed they didn't rotate them the previous visit. And sure enough they didn't do it again. I went and spoke to the General manager about my issues istead they sent one of the sales manager named Mike to speak with me, he assured me that he would get this handled and gave me his number and told me that the next time I came in to call him first and he would ensure that it was done this time and he offered a free oil change and tire rotation. I tried calling 4 times the, every time I was told either he was in a meeting or off and that another manager would call me back. No one ever called. At this point I'm done. I will take my Kia somewhere else for service and will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership. I have been lied to, and cheated. It's sad because I have really like the Sorento, but will look elsewhere in the future.

David teaches the boys how to make gross profit. ALOT of Brady's deals use an addendum which charges an additional $3000 for nitrogen in your tires.

University Kia Car Purchase

I went in thinking I would walk out with a vehicle. As they advertise if you bring home $350+ a week, you are guaranteed. This was not the case! Can you say false advertising. The customer service was horrible. The receptionist was texting and flirting with the salesmen, the building needs repairs. Something dropped on my from the ceiling. This was a horrible experience!

University Kia Lied to!

I went in to University Kia on March 7th around 3p. I didn't have alot of time but wanted to look around (was my daughter's prom day). After talking to a salesperson, he told me if I would come back after I got her off to prom, that I could take home a vehicle until Monday and test drive it to see if I liked it. Very pleased with this, I returned around 7p after calling to make sure the vehicle was ready. When I arrived, he requested some personal information, drivers license, and insurance card. A few minutes later the sales manager approached us to inform us that they would not approve a test drive for more than one day and that we would have to return on Monday (30 minute drive each way). I also found out at this point that the salesperson had taken the information that I had given him and run my credit...after I had implicitly told him not to. I already had a pre-approval through my credit union for my vehicle. I have worked very hard over the past 2 years to repair my credit that was damaged in a divorce and i am extremely upset over the lies, the deception, and the attitude I received from this dealership. The sales manager didn't even act like it was a big deal. I will never buy from this lot...and prob not even a Kia after this experience.

University Kia liars

I recently purchased a Kia soul on [protected], everyone waa kind when trying to make a deal however once the papers were signed it has become very difficult to obtain items promised in writing during the sale. No one wants to return my calls as I live 2.5 hours away. Its two simple items a cargo cover and a cargo net, but seemingly they do not want to give the items they promised. Secondl, a week after purchasing the vehicle I noticed condensation collecting in the headlight (a warranty issue), no one returns my calls and I have left several messages. I don't deem it appropriate for a customer to track someone down to obtain items due to the or complete repairs that are covered under warranty. I would not get another vehicle from them and would high recommendations others to stay away from the wolves in sheep's clothing. I rather deal with a wolves upfront that to be bamboozled by lies, deceit, and plan disregard for the customer.

I am sorry that you are having a tough time dealing with them for the items that they promised...
As far as the water in the headlight, if it is a warranty issue then you set up an appointment to get it fixed and take it in. You do NOT need them to call you back.

Good Luck
