Billing, unprofessionalism, charging for services not provided
The office charged me well over $6, 000 for a "Care Plan". This included some fillings, crowns and bridges on my top set of teeth and for a few extractions, a cleaning and some xrays. They opened a "CareCredit" Account, charged that $5, 000, this is not including what my insurance company paid. Then they scheduled me for the fillings and stated I needed to...

I see your ads in Television and It shows a gentleman who states he had rotten teeth and his wife had never seen his smile. My son in law was in the situation and went to your Aspen Dental on Alpine Ave In Grand Rapids Mi. He was treated rudely and they did not get back with him as they promised. He tried calling back and no one would get back. Needless to say he gave up and still suffers from not having his smile. They do not have a lot of money but do have dental insurance . I hope things may not be this way with all your facilities
Financial fraud
I went into Aspen Dental on October 1 for an emergency visit for a severe toothache. After presenting me with a long list of procedures I needed and the price tag, amounting in the $1, 000s, I was also told the oral surgeon was out of network and I would have to pay in full. I went home and looked for an oral surgeon who was available and in network, with...
Read full review of Aspen DentalBilling practices - billing company
I have tried numerous times to resolve an inaccurate statement from Aspen Dental for services rendered in Lake Wales, Florida. I have sent receipts of payments, insurance explanation of benefits copies, and letters explaining how their statement is in error. I've been trying since October, 2018. I cannot find someone, other than the local office who refuses to acknowledge the error, to help me. Delta Dental is my insurance company and they have agreed that my reconciliation is accurate, however, they cannot do anything to get Aspen to correct their billings. They have engaged in practices prohibited by their contract with Delta Dental such as balance billing, even though their contract with Delta Dental indicates the "allowed amount" and what I owe as the patient. They refuse to acknowledge the allowances and continue to bill me for inaccurate amounts. I cannot find a process or contact that I can appeal their billings. It's elusive. Their local office says they "open a ticket" with their billing office, but the end result is the same and they cannot explain why they have billed in error. I've proved my payments through copies of receipts, yet they are never listed on their statement.

Tooth pulled and partial to big
I went in to have a tooth pulled however the dentist broke the tooth off in my gumshe said her tool malfunctioned.which was a lie She sent me to griffin surgery dental office to have it surgically removed however my partial didn't fit it was huge and I lost time off work.. and Griffin is sending me a bill well Aspen was supposed to have taken care of that bill because my insurance had paid them to remove the tooth..now I have missing teeth no partial and a bill..I have paperwork to back me up that they gave me..
Implant
I went to the aspen dental office in valdosta ga, on Norman Dr .July 2, 2018 with a broken tooth on bottom .was told it had to be pulled and implant, so I trusted them that they could do the job, So after 13 months and 5 try's with getting a crown, on August 1 2019, he finally got one to stay, the crown is not going to stay, it's not worth the money or time I endured, It has a gap at gum and I can't bite on it without it jabbing in the gum, plus if I get food next to it it will shift, and food gets up under the tooth .I sent a letter for full refund with no response ..I might not get any results, but I'll make sure that aspen dental customers will know not to waste their time with them.,

One year ago I went to aspen dental, advised by my general dentist to see an oral surgeon for a tooth extraction and implant of a single tooth. They were new in town, conviently located and accommodating with my schedule.
At my appointment I was informed I would get the extaction, receive a bone graft, an abutment would be inserted and final act would be the implant of a tooth. All staged of course over a period of time.
I got said tooth extracted and implant of bone graft. Months later i was informed the graft had failed. And i would need to see the oral surgeon who is only sometimes available at this, Lebanon PA, office. Keep in mind I already thought I saw an oral surgeon on 1st visit, as that was my intention when choosing aspen dental. During this 2nd visit i was told the failure of bone graft was due to infection. Seemed unlikely to me as i had no signs of infection, was not told initially that I had infection and was certainly not treated for infection.
I was left sitting in chair for a period of time when i was taken to another room and had molds done of my entire mouth. I erroneously thought it was regarding size and placement of missing tooth. The dentist came back and told me I need invisilign as me teeth are not straight. I don t mean to brag but my teeth, minus the missing molar, are kinda nice.
Now Iam getting a bit uncomfortable, I only ever wanted one tooth replaced by an oral surgeon. I have a regular general dentist who oversees my oral care. I was herded out to a desk and was given a treatment plan for $12, 919.00. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND MY INTENDED VISIT WAS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF ONE TOOTH.
In the meantime, i have already paid over $1000.00 out of pocket for a failed bone graft. I placed several calls to office manager who advised me to go somewhere else. I then opted for a call/email to corporate, with an assumed end result of reimbursement for the botched bone graft.
Recently, I decided to try again with aspen and made an appointment with the oral surgeon as i expected to have credit toward my account. I got cold feet and cancelled when i was told I had no credit on record and I had an outstanding bill. Whhhaaatt ... I went through dental credit so aspen was paid out immediately and I long paid off that loan to avoid generating interest on the loan(12month interest free).
So here I am with a missing tooth in my mouth. I am not happy about that. No credit on record toward the failed procedure, maybe an outstanding bill of unknown origin, and a over inflated treatment plan of $12, 919.
The nature of this correspondence is to inform corporate of the experience and I am still expecting to receive reimbursement for the bone graft debacle.
Thank you

With limited fund and even with insurance the cost is outrageous. They maxed out my insurance coverage with xrays, examinations. Had to open a credit card account through Aspen topay the entire inflated charges. Plus I still can't get them to make my permanent top dentures. I constantly have sores in my mouth from my temporary plate is to big and moves all over and make my mouth raw inside. Once again they used all of my insurance on 4 exrsys and another damn exam. That was the second set of exrsys for the same procedure. I wanted my upper plate made and now they are saying they can't do my top plate until I have the lower teeth taken care of. The are over billing people and their insurance.
Dentures
I am now ony second set of dentures. From your company. Both sets broke . I am currently speaking help again with my second that also has broke. I have been to that office. Approximately 9 times they keep fixing them and readjusting . And still they dont fit and make my mouth hurt. They also tried to get me to sign paperwork. To charge me for another set...

I needed an upper denture. I was fitted with one and had a couple minor sores. The dentist on duty proceeded to shave half of the gum on the right side down and I lost all suction. Only a very minimal sliver needed to be taken off. I made numerous complaints about this dentist and her actions that day. I was told she was half owner and all they could do for me is repeated softlines. I complained at every visit... Which were numerous. I got my final dentures which were loose and only got worse. They agreed to make me a new hard line and they are hideous. Im supposed to have the natural lite and these weight about as much as 2 dentures. My mouth is filled with excessive material and they are very uncomfortable. To top it off my top teeth dont line up with my bottom teeth and its embarrassing. They say there is nothing further they can do. They have nothing but excuses. Its been a nightmare!
I paid for comfilytes and got basic dentures
I had a complete upper plate made after mine broke I financed it along with a cleaning and a filling on bottom. I was horrified with my dentures when I got the first set I couldn't close my mouth properly and they were big and bulky. I went back for a another wax and they did a new set. NO luck same thing however I signed off on them because by this time I...

About 4 years ago I got a procedure to remove all of my teeth and get dentures. during the procedure I was not given enough sedation before they started pulling my teeth and was screaming from the pain almost breaking one of the nurses hand by holding on to it with so much force the surgan said to me " if you do not stop screaming I will leave you here and go home" being a 17 year old kid I was scared. The procedure was supposed to go on my parents credit and they said I would owe 5000 dollars. Instead it for some reason went on my credit and i am in a load of debt. Today after 4 years of having there temporary set for 4 years and being in pain for that 4 years I went to affordable dentures they told me my bite and mouth may never be normal because aspen dental did not fit my teeth right and messed up my jaw to the point I have headaches every day. I still get calls and Bill's from aspen dental but with how messed up they made my mouth and even my mind i have no want to pay them. Never go to aspen dental they are the worst and need to be shut down.
Crown
I'm writing to explain my experience at your office. My first appointment was around July 8th, to get prepped for a crown. My understanding and request was for an all porcelain crown. I even looked at the colors of teeth with the assistant that day to get an exact match to my teeth. Then 2 or 3 weeks later after calling multiple times to get a sooner appointment, and opportunity for someone to tell about a change in crown, I wasn't able to get in earlier. My appointment was finally scheduled for Tuesday July 23rd. Right before DMD Jayanty was about to cement the crown in my mouth she told me she wanted me to know how it looked. It was a shock to me when seeing the majority of the crown was made in silver, and resembled a cavity not a healthy tooth. I could have cried after going through everything and having a large silver tooth in my mouth. I have had cavities in the past, why would I pay so much money to have one placed in my mouth? After it was cemented in I couldn't stop thinking about the discrepancy between my request to what they put in my mouth, but I was to upset and I was by myself in the office. I mentioned this to DMD Jayanty she then told me it had to be made this way because how thin it was and that all porcelain wouldn't last. She told me the lab contacted her to ask if this was ok, she told them yes to go ahead and make it, without calling and consulting the patient. How come no one ever contacted me to ask if this was ok? Again, I called numerous times between the consultation and my appointment, and nothing was ever mentioned of a change. DMD Jayanty then told me they can redo it. However, I was in the process of moving out of state so I informed them I couldn't come back to this office as I'd be too far to travel. I was told I can have it done in Maine if the other office approves. They needed to contact that office to confirm if another doctor would do the crown. Weeks went by before I heard anything about it and then got in September at the Bangor Maine office.
This appointment was a horrible experience for me. They had to take off the cemented permanent crown and prep the space for a new one to be made. It had to be thicker so it could be made all porcelain as stated before. I was sitting in the chair shaking and crying uncontrollably. It felt and sounded as if someone was taking a hammer to my tooth and smashing it. Eventually they got off the silver crown. I was so upset and so embarrassed to have to go through that, one of the worst experiences of my life. I went back 2 or 3 weeks after to have the new all porcelain crown put in. Not only did I have to go through this experience because of someone else's mistake, I had to pay for a babysitter 2 more times. I think the $535 I paid to the Leominster office for this procedure should be reimbursed to my Care Credit for the experience I had to go through. If the original Dr and Leominster office had reached out to me, the patient, this could have all been avoided. Instead they put me through a whirlwind of pain and emotional distress only to keep my money as if it was a smooth process.
This is not a complaint of payment as I'm sure you've received in the past from patients. But I fear having any procedure done, let alone the extra pain and distress I was put through for the offices mistake and lack of communication.

Misleading billing practice
First, I will note that the staff was very courteous and polite. Now, the bait and switch tactic. I went in for a teeth cleaning, only to find out later, from two separate dentist facilities in town, that I paid twice or may three times as much as I would have paid at another facility in town. However, even though its cost twice as much, they did a good job...
