tree trimming in front my business
I own a child care facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Asplundh employees blocked my driveway during business hours and left branches and tree limbs on one of my employees' vehicle. I was not informed about them trimming trees so I could have asked her to move her vehicle. They just parked and started cutting away. This is very unprofessional and I would expect better service from such a large company.
very bad driver and extremely unsafe
I live at Keen Mountain VA and Asplundh has been working near my house for the past week or so. This morning (10/12/17) while taking my daughter to school at 8:00 am an Asplundh truck just came to a complete stop in the middle of the road in front of me in a curve to put out signs. The passenger got out and took his time walking to the back of the truck to slowly get the sign out (There was multiple spots on the side of the road where they could have pulled over, no need to just dead stop in the middle of a road and if for some reason they felt the extreme need to do this, where was a flagman?) With no warning to traffic coming down the mountain this driver put himself, the passenger as well as my daughter and I in danger of being hit.
tree cutting
Asplundh is cutting down all the trees on my mothers property. Permission was never asked there for none was given and they continue to block our driveway causing us not to be able to get to important appointments. Want them gone from Rocky Lane, Bland Va 24315. They have caused issues with our internet as well but most importantly their lack of requesting permission from us to cut our trees down and block our driveway every day and drive their large trucks on our property. We are very displeased.
tree trimmer hit my pump house
On september 14, 2017 one of your tree trimming vehicles hit my pump house and did not inform us that he had this accident on my property, I will say this is a distruction of property! I noticed that I had a water leak and fixed it. The next day my wife was returning home from work and noticed damage to our pump house, it had been hit by something powerful enough to push it off the foundation and crack some blocks that were cemented in place.

harassment/excess cutting
Nightmare dealing with employees of asplundh tree company. This company obtained new contract in our area for power company. The first young man, on january 9th 2017, clay long, was polite and professional. The second visit january 10, 2017, included a call to a supervisor, chris, I believe, forcing me to sign a "refusal form.". We have been in our home 25 years and never refused. The harrassment to sign the form continued for 20 minutes. I told them that I had to leave. They said they would return to cut in may, which I agreed. An employee returned on april 27th, for our other street. Because we live on a corner. (never mentioned the agreement to have cut in january.) I signed a contract to remove small trees and brush for power lines. I got a chance to walk the area and found 12 large pink/red xs on these huge trees. They were not near the power lines or poles. I looked up guidelines and obtained booklet from power company. I called company and the local asplundh who was going to remove the xs, they said that these are the ones being cut down. Cut down? Yes. Not trimmed by power lines? No, cut from the ground. We would also need to pay to have removed. I video taped the trees and property. Some large trees are 30 plus feet from power lines. Growing away from lines. Not near poles. Not near lines or poles the next business day, (husband not home) my doorbell rang at 7:30, phone rang, doorbell again an hour or so later. I finally answered as I was in shower etc... James ambrose was at my home who is the one that marked trees. I could not meet him. Fifteen minutes later or so the truck on corner as I passed. Confrontation. Tried to ask (why) or show beutiful trees on property that had marks to be cut down that were not near power lines. He said trees were "fast growing.". I showed 12 more and told him I trusted him. He started yelling "you signed paper" over and over. Threw up hands. I did sign, but it did not match what was marked between ribbons and description not even close. He said "fine, we won't do nothing. Sped off in truck. What about the power lines? ' I called corporate and left message for dora. No response. Obtained reference number from power company as I filed complaint on may 2nd. Called power company and said 14 days. Tony swisher's from asplundh called on may 5 th and said he was headed to my house. I asked him to look at situation as a professional. He wanted to meet with me, but I declined due to pervious harrassment and confrontation with male employees. His opinion was" minimal trimming of trees to help grow away from power lines. " called to update peter. (I had called asplundh again and filed complaint with kelly and peter kwasnjuk... Peter obtained all emails... He. Called me after I spoke to kelly.) got in argument with dora for 6 minutes as message I was leaving seemed to be too long. (I just wanted his voice mail. She asked to take the message for him.) peter, at asplundh, in human resources, was kind, understanding, concerned and professional. He apologized for employees conduct and assured me that they would be taken care of. (would be looked into.) but he never called back to give me person to resolve as I requested. Roy klingaman picked up on 13 th day after I begged power company for some type of response or help. He said busy with many calls. How many complaints are they getting? He was very nice. I asked for his email address and sent all details of complaint.in the meantime, a neighbor complained to me about the big red/pink xs that asplundh used to mark the trees to be cut down. I explained and apologize to her. Virginia, the forestry manager, called and said she intercepted email. Virginia came out yesterday, may 22nd. She explained that asplundh was working on it behind the scenes, but failed to contact me. She told me that she did not understand why james was in my area, in this curcuit number 661. She pulled out map and showed me where they come from and area they cover. She sounded confused. Told me she needed to find out why he was at my home to mark the trees. I presented green call tag from january, all dates, names times, in my journal, including phone numbers that were made to my phone by her employees etc... As proof of everything that I was saying. Also, mentioned that I have pictures of employees in front of my house and at my corner which she said is not unusual. Everything was going well until she said she would have also cut down the 12 trees. One tree I pointed out that was not near the power line she said was a cottonwood she asked of I had other cottonwoods on property? How would I know. What? Why do you want to cut those down too? I thought you were here to follow the guidelines of the power company as contracted by the company. The harrassment, in january over a refusal form, the signed paper not matching the work for the crews, two asplundh employees having complete opposite opinions, not following guidelines set by the power company, the confrontation by an asplundh employee in a public place, the 12 beutiful trees being cut down for no reason, the expense to us for the trees being cut, the company working behind the scenes but not contacting us, the employee being in the area without the company understanding why, no other trees marked in our area that we can see at this time etc... The experience from january til yesterday, has been unfortunate and exhausting. We hope asplundh will take seriously and have the president and ceo investigate these situations, so this will never happen to another customer. This is our hope in writing the details of this complaint. Concerned customers.
tree trimming
Trimmed my trees 2 years ago and killed 2 of them. One of the trees was in the middle of my yard, no where near the lines. They cut all the limbs off and cut a circle around the bottom of the tree and left the wood in my front yard.
Last year I told PECO I did not want my trees trimmed because I was paying to have them trimmed professionally. They came and trimmed them anyway once I had left for work - they were not desecrated as terribly as they had been or have recently been done.
About three weeks ago I came home from work to find an evergreen with 5 to 6 feet cut off the top of the tree and shaved about 10 feet down on all sides. There was no reason for this. Three remaining trees have also had the tops cut out of them, and will probably die within year or two.
Friday they were back and told me they needed to cut down a dead tree in pasture next to my home. Again I came home to find a tree topped off so that only a stump about 25 feet in the air is standing. This tree was not even close to the wires. It is in the middle of the field.
This is after I spoke to Ronnie the manager, who told me no damage would be done and denying that he had done the damage to my trees several weeks ago.
They parked along the edge of the yard and made huge tracks so that we will not be able to mow in the spring until we fill it in with dirt, just like we had to do two years ago.
I spent $15, 000 this past summer getting trees trimmed so that they could be maintained on a yearly basis. I don't have another 15, 000 to spend to have the remaining 4 trees cut down, and stumps ground and new plants put in.
The electric lines were put in after these trees were planted and matured. I moved in 5 years ago and took responsibility to keep my trees maintained but Asplundh came in and butchered them unnecessarily.
Asplundh and PECO need to be held responsible. They did exactly what they say they don't do on the PECO website - topped and shaved my trees.
butchering trees / parking in driveway
Aslpundh tree company, contracted by fpl to trim trees along the power lines continually butchers the trees in front of our residence.. I fully understand the need to keep the limbs away from the powerlines, but the hack job they did is unbelievable. They were just here less than six months earlier and trimmed all the trees along the powerlines... Now they are back and trimming farther into my property. Not only that, they are parked in my private driveway with the boom truck and the wood chipper. I have (Had) a =n ornamental palm that had the complete top cut off the first time around, , now they have lopped off another two+ feet... Now are you going to tell me it grew two feet in less than six months... The othe frustrating issue is ther is no one to complain to. All complaints, calls, and emails are never responded to. Its absolutely ridiculous.

I would prefer to give NO stars. Since they work with the power co. to remove trees, etc. around power lines/poles, I had no choice. Suffice it to say a real tree EXPERT will take care of the downed tree that fell in another area. The previous reviewer who called them "butchers" is exactly right. Butcher and plunder, they did. While I can understand that it was late and they were tired, this is what they signed up for and they're likely getting double time. I also am stressed and tired. They were very dismissive of my questions as homeowner and, quite frankly, rude. Try professionalism if you're going to call yourselves experts. I find it "interesting" that the same comments show up in many states. TERRIBLE company!
Same thing here in Connecticut . Complete hack job. The enhanced tree trimming and removal program is a 110 million dollar fiasco . 100% paid by the taxpayer and utility company customers. Sorry to hear you are having the same issues.
hit and run team
I wanted it known that this company, Asplundh won't take responsibility for smashing into my car. I had just cleaned my car and cleared the street of snow so I could park there. I cleared the snow all the way to the curb. I then took another car of mine around the block to park behind my first car. As I came onto my street a Asplundh truck almost hit me in the car. I then pulled up to my house and seen the mirror laying on the ground. Also they left a giant tree branch on the street and sidewalk outside my house. They ruined my front driver side of the car. That includes the fender the lights, the tire and rym.
My grandfather had witnessed it also he was washing dishes and seen the whole thing. My first instinct was to call the cops. I should have hopped into my car and chased them down because I didn't have the license plate or driver number they wouldn't cover it. The only way they will cover it is it the driver admits it which he hasn't yet. What I plan to do it tell my story to every website I can find so that hopefully they will lose business for this.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
damaged car
Asplundh came to my house to trim a tree while I was not home, keep in mind there were no no parks no signs of any kind or notice prior. They trimmed the tree great they just damaged my car a 1975 BMW 3.0si at the same time and handle it horribly said nothing and left no sorry no nothing, irresponsible company and unprofessional employees. So now I am awaiting Their response. The next action I take is to contact the BBB and if I receive no compensation I will see them in court. I find it extremely disrespectful to damage a car and criminal to pretend like nothing happened!
butchering of tree
This company is hired by Edison company to trim trees from wires. They are apparently exempt from responsibility on their part of damaging a tree to the extent of endangering a home and possible harm or death to inhabitants of the home. They trimmed 2 30' * trees sitting together approximately 10-15 feet from my home. They cut half the trees foliage from...
