To my to my surprise there are so many books available on audiobooks. I enjoy that when a new book comes out it is already downloaded onto audiobooks. It's been a pleasure listening to audiobooks as a core about my daily activities.
Audiobooks is without question the best available bookstore
Audiobooks is without question the best available bookstore online. You can download to your iPod and listen to books while you carry out your daily routine. The selection is extensive and the staff is always very responsive, very courteous, and very professional. I simply cannot give a higher recommendation to any bookstore, online within the cities.
Omg I love this app
Omg I love this app. I have always loved books. But I have a reading disorder and getting hard cover books is really hard for me to read. That's why i turn to audiobooks. But not all the libraries have all the books I want on audio. But with audiobooks.com I have acces to lots of books that I didn't even know we're on audio. So let's just say that my library is full and eger to read more.

Deceiving membership and poor customer service
I signed up for a free trial earlier this month thinking it worked the same way as Amazon where you have access to unlimited books for the month and then at the end of the month it rolls over to $14.95/month for unlimited access to book downloads. But then when I went into my credit card account I saw 7 charges of $14.95 for a total of $105. I was not under the impression that I would be charged for each download and thought it was a $14.95/month membership with unlimited downloads. The app is very deceiving and is not very clear that you will be charged per book and not per month. I would never have downloaded 7 books if I knew I was going to be charged over $100 for them. When I asked customer service for a refund I kept getting the same response and she said "we have absolutely no way of refunding charges once the credits are used on titles, just as a restaurant cannot refund food that has been consumed." A restaurant will refund your money if they receive a complaint because they value their customers and want to continue to keep their customers happy. I am very disappointed in audiobook.com's response as I am sure I am not the only one who has had this issue.
Just a Garbage Website
An author here, and not just a listener-First of all, they require a contract to upload your content. Now the site goes by a subscription, which costs $20 or so, then you can purchase an audio book. Well, I never actually bought, although, I did try to get a free one, but I didn't understand what I was doing because their set up is strange. The subscription aspect is nonsense, therefore, a gouge anyway. That alone is enough of an indicator for costumers to avoid the site.
This review is more from my perspective as an author. After I got the contract dealt with, which took a week longer than it should have because they only check emails once a day (another red flag). This is also fishy-They use a file transfer protocal app, to receive the files.
What bugs me the most is their 2 free audio books feature, which, is now 3 (I've just noticed as I went for the site address). This makes the site not much better than a torrent site, which especially hurts unrecognized content creators. This caused me to loosely promote my audio book on my YouTube channel, because I doubt this site is very popular (I would esentially be giving my book away).
So yeah, everybody just avoid this site, which is obviously a scam site, as I see other reviews as I type this, haha.
Stay away from audiobooks.com at all costs!
Stay away from audiobooks.com at all costs! I purchased an audiobook and then needed to go to this website and that website and register here and do this and do that so finally I went to look for the audiobook. It wasn't on my phone. It wasn't on their website. It wasn't on the app. They even said it would be an iTunes. Wrong. So I contacted them was very very explicit about the fact that I could not access the audiobook. I got an email back basically saying we're sorry you had a problem enjoy your book! So I Responded to try to get the answer. The next email that came was paragraphs and paragraphs long explaining how I need to reboot my computer delete the app and reinstall the app other stuff. Unbelievably convoluted. All I asked was how do I access my book. So I requested a refund not once but twice and I was ignored. Until I mentioned that I was planning on filing a report against them for scams to the FTC. Then they responded with another email which was sounded kind of confrontational and he said since I refused assistance they were going to refund my money. Well as I said earlier I gave them very detailed information about what my problem was and the assistance that they gave me was unusable. So if you want to buy a product and not get it And you want the worst possible customer service that can be had go with it! Otherwise buyer beware!

I have called for three days. Customer service doesn’t even know a corporate number. although they are very nice. A supervisor should be able to make contact with a “non customer” that has been charged 254.00 on her account.
Covid is no excuse. it’s a telephone call. If the regulations are Collin can not call the US. I’m will to call him. But no one will or can give contact info. For the manager, or a corporate number. (Business owner. Who ever is in charge).

Like so many others who've complained online, they charged my card immediately upon my signing up, even though they say you have 30 days to decide whether you want to keep it. And IF you keep it at that point, they will charge you. NOT TRUE. They lie, lie, lie. And their customer service is horrific. They are like robots with their little scripts in their heads, and they'll just keep repeating the same thing over and over again. This company is disgusting and shameless. We should all report them to every agency that has anything to do with them. There are so many complaints about them online already that they are probably about to be hit with a class action lawsuit. And if not, they certainly should be! They have cost me money in overdraft fees because they charged me when I needed that money for another payment. They have also caused me problems with that company, because my contract says I cannot miss a payment, so they will now cancel my contract because of these lowlifes who couldn't care less! Customer service didn't even apologize for this mess. They're brainwashed and don't know how to use their brains, just their little scripts!
Unauthorized credit card charges
It's a total disappointment. It's an electronic thief and no wonder why a lot of people are complaining about them. Besides from false advertisements, the manager Kimberly is REALLY RUDE! And i'm really looking forward to filing a lawsuit about this company. I have to talk to my lawyer and my colleagues first and see if this company will last long. Soon, we can form enough audience and support to put this company down. It's just a matter of time. I want to delete my account because they keep charging me and for some reason i cannot find any button to remove my visa card. I want my account deleted NOW! and STOP CHARGING!
Completely unbelievable.
254.00 and no one can contact a managers
At least you talked to one.
I was enticed into trying out audiobooks.com by giving me a 30 day trial offer, but i was charged the very same day
I was enticed into trying out audiobooks.com by giving me a 30 day trial offer, but i was charged the very same day. When i called up to inquire about it, I was told that my trial period is over. I told them that the promised trial was for 30 days and I'm appalled at the way they treat customers. I requested a cancellation of my service and issuance of refund, but was told that they shall gladly cancel service but no refunds. This is one totally fraud establishment.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
False advertising and unprofessional support
After signing up for Audiobooks.com and paying my membership fee I received an email telling me my account was suspended and to call for more information. The first representative was vague but I eventually found out my account was suspended because of excess usage/downloads. I did not understand how this was possible considering the company offer...

Buyer BEWARE! I was one of the idiots who signed up for the "free" trial. On the seventh day of the seven day "free" trial I called to cancel the services. Throughout the entire period of the "free" trial, I only had the opportunity to listen to excerpts from two books. Not even entire chapters. Of course I had already been charged for a months service. The basic customer service sends out a lame form letter saying tough luck and the "manager" of the business won't even respond to my inquiry emails! Pretty sucky way to deal with customers. This business is NOT interested in your satisfaction. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY.
agree. very disappointing. value for money is invisible and now I've cancelled my account I can no longer access the books I already paid $15 for. i could have bought them on the high street for $5. total joke.
Simply Audiobooks Inc changed my Free subscription to $14.95USD per month in September 2013 totaling $600NZD before I realised on 20 March 2016! Payments went automatically through Paypal although I did not authorize them! They refuse to refund my $600NZD!
It looks like unlimited does not mean unlimited. Here you can see i am an unlimited member in the upper right corner. You can also see that i cannot listen to Game of Thrones because i am not a credit based customer. That makes no sense. Maybe an attorney and judge should clarify it for them.
Happened to me also & this is what else happened to me...I started out at $24.95 unlimited (HA!) account was suspended for over-usage. Then they increased the price to $29.95 & of course I was suspended again for over-usage twice. NOW I find I am suspended again. They have changed their plan to 1 book for around $15 a month or 2 books a month for around $23. For those of us who actually listen to audiobooks, I can go through 10 a month or so. Audiobooks.com said that it would be very hard to listen to 7 books a month! (WHAT?) I know people who can sit down & read 7 books a month.
Definitely stay away from Audiobooks.com! It's a ripoff!
Audiobooks.com is NOT unlimited! My account was suspended for listening to too many books. Audiobooks.com advertises unlimited books to listen to, but if you listen to more than one book a day they WILL suspend you account.
Audiobooks - Unethical Schmucks
1. This company has misleading advertising, claiming to have books for download that they don't have and leading people to sign up for free trials that are difficult to cancel and lead to credit card charges.
2. This company refuses to allow you to cancel your membership except through a phone call during certain business hours supposedly for security reasons (although they have no problem with you submitting credit card and personal info to them, which makes the whole security thing a little to fishy).
3. This company is not accessible to the disabled, despite being a service that would be highly used by the disabled. Their website is highly inaccessible.
DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY. www.Audible.com is a great as well as SAFE alternative.
I completely agree with the first complainer. As they said, the company will lead you on by claiming they have a book you want to read, only to not have it on their site at all. I originally signed up for a trial so I could temporarily use a book for a research paper, only to find the bleeping, lying site didn't have it. I was redirected to Audible.com and told to purchase it from there. And if that weren't enough, they charge way too much. I was just charged $29.99 because I foolishly thought they would give me a seven day trial period, and I waited till the 7th day to cancel. $29.99 a month? Netflix doesn't even charge that much, and their services are valuable than the crappy selection having, misleading, audiobooks.com. Do not sign-up with these punks.
