Completely Dishonest Dealership
Bought a car a month later had a blow out - Tyre Fitment center ended up replacing all 4 tyres as the inner tread of every tire was completely smooth and inner walls torn through on 3 of the 4 tyres. One wheel was missing a bolt and another wheel hub stripped completely. I immediately called them and was told to replace them and send them the invoice for reimbursement. After weeks of following up with no response i eventually get a email stating that the car passed road worthy the month before so its actually not there problem.
When asked to provide a copy of the 120 point quality check that was done along with a copy of the road worthy technical report, They just started ignoring me. To date management has not returned one of my calls nor replied to single email I have sent.
Furthermore they promised to do a 120 Point quality check and a full major service on the vehicle pre delivery and I was assured the major service they do on the vehicle would be the same as the agent (check and replace all parts the agent would on a major service for the vehicle) a Month of having the car and all brake pads need replacing, battery needs replacing, wheel hub needs to be replaced, control arm bushes need replacement and so on - R50 000 worth of service repairs needed and then find out the only thing they did was change the oil (Oil change only for a 90 0000 major service!)
It is impossible that a vehicle could pass road worthy in that condition, brake pads, control arm bushes etc would of all been identified immediately and not a single tyre would of passed inspection. 1 month 2000km later and they refuse to respond except for it is all wear and tear.
Between the major service they were supposed to do, the 120 point quality check and road worthy somehow I have R50 000 worth of wear and tear items to replace and R12 000 for tyres that only lasted 2000km
When I then took the vehicle to Audi, they advised that all faults would of been picked up during a routine service and confirmed that it was not possible any item could be attributed to wear and tear within 2000km of driving, They also were adamant that the vehicle would of never passed a valid road worthy through any reputable test center and advised me to ensure I get a copy of the technical test report to see what was passed and who signed it off, then take the matter further with the testing center. - However months of waiting and being ignored, I just can't get a copy of any of this from Auto Extreme.
Desired outcome: Management to stop ignoring me and return my calls or respond to my many emails sent and a full reimbursement of costs
Bad service
We bought a Ford Focus St 2007 model from the mentioned company. All the banking and credit checks was done. Our side every thing
was done as we were told by the sales person, Mr L Loubser. We had to Fly to Lanseria air port on 2010-11-27 from Cape Town air port to go and collect the vehicle. On arrival that Saterday, my father informed me that the vehicle could not be handed over to us on the Saterday. the vehicle was not starting. We could not even just view the vehicle!
The dealer just told us its out of his hands. But all our arrangements was done in the week prior to the collecting date and we could not cancel our plane tickets as we will lose the money that we paid for it, and on the date the dealer told us there is a problem with the vehicle. We had to leave Pretoria with my father back to Ladysmith KZN a 475km drive. On Monday morning we phoned the dealer to get some more details and when we can get our vehicle! He then told us that the vehicles petrol pump is not working, he will phone us back at 14:00, but never did. We had to phone him and then more bad news. The computer box was blown. Hell what ells. We had to phone the dealer again on Tuesday to get some info on the vehicle. He told us that the vehicle was now at a nother garage so that they can help fix the problem. Hatfield auto was amazing, the floor manager Mr Trevor van Wyk phoned us every 3 hours to give us info on the car. Again the dealer Mr L Loubser FAILED to order a new computer box for the job that needs to be done on the vehicle. We traveled back to Pretoria from Ladysmith to Hatfield Auto on Wednesday just to arrive there to get some more bad news! The dealer still did not order the computer box, so Hatfield Auto can not do any work on the vehicle. Its Friday by now, my wife and i had to start work on the Tuesday already but the dealer did not bring his side. ALL THE TRAVELLING COST AND UNFORESEEN EXPENSES came out of our pockets and all the dealer can say; "its out of his hands" On Friday 2010-12-02 at 17:15 we received the vehicle from Hatfield Auto. We did not See or heard from the dealer to date [protected])
We did not received any documentation from them. NOTHING!
We wanted the Road Worthy papers to have proof that the vehicle went through the road test but we are waiting for that for 9 days. The dealer also did not mentioned that the vehicle was or in a accident or a heal storm, the vehicle was re-spread. that we only found out when we got in Cape Town and took it for inspection.
i was shocked and could not believed the treatment that we received o that we where subjected to during this proses. The service that we got from Auto Xtream, is to say the very leased, PATHETIC!
i would NOT refer ANY person to AUTO XTREAM!
Got the same bad and unethical service from this company. Get your bank involved where you did the finance. The more the banks receive negative feedback, maybe they will all stop to finance vehicles from this dealership!

Try the ombudsman, and get the bank involved where you did the finance. The more the banks hear about their unethical behavior, maybe they will stop financing at this dealership. I had the same incident... all is well while the sale is happening, selling me a vehicle under motorplan, but the motorplan expired a month before i purchased the vehcile. Tried the ombudsman as well, but they are pro dealership. Just get the vehicle finance division of the banks involved, and complain to them.
