Not honoring used car warranty
I bought a car on 5/13/2022 from AutoNation Rockville. 17 days later the car would not start. I was told by a Finance Manager whose name I believe is Fotos and whose email is [protected]@autonation.com. He advised me to take the car to a certified mechanic i.e. a Honda dealership and submit the invoice for reimbursement.
I did as advised and emailed the invoice for the work to the email address given above. I heard nothing back and have left approximately 15 messages with various employees at AutoNation Rockville BMW with no return call.
I have to assume this is a business practice at AutoNation Rockville BMW encouraged by management.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for the work done to get the car running again. To just honor the warranty told to me when purchased.
Misrepresentation and Willful intent to Defraud!
Autonation sold me (05/05/21) a car knowing there was over $4000. worth of repairs needed to be done (oil pan, arm bushings) which their so called;121- point inspection, obviously would have been disclosed. And here again;05/21/21 through another inspection at Schomp (BMW dealership); the repairs diagnosed as necessary and never disclosed any of this to me when I specifically asked my salesperson;Cody;if the steering was checked; he replied. "it's Fine". Certainly, these direct communications Qualify, as the definition for "Misrepresentation and Willful intent to Defraud I have 3 documents showing the repairs to my car on 01/12/22; replacement of the thrust arm bushings; which was covered under the extended warranty which I purchase at the time of the sale and the replacement of the oil filter housing gasket' which I was told on 05/05/21 is covered under the warranty by Meghan Boxley and again re-iterated my coverage of this on 01/17/22; Iwas charged $1745.38!I asked Eric Absher( GM) to be reimbursed and he replied "I don't care what you want" He told me "when does a owner take responsibility of his car; I replied "When does a GM and the dealership is held accountable knowingly Selling a defected car! I asked Wes Studer (the service manager)0n 05/11/21; what does the 121-point inspection mean he replied "the car is drivable"
Desired outcome: To be reimbursed for 1745.38. and have Eric Asher fired to allow this to happen! someone needs to hold "Accountable" My name is James Sutherland;[protected]; [protected]@aol.com; thank you for your time!
Follow through on warranty cancellation and refund
In may 2022 (the 12th) I sold a vehicle purchased at north phoenix autonation. I called the 1800 numbers to autonation and mopar. Both places suggested going to the dealership as it would be faster for my return. I now have given the dealership my paperwork 3 times, came to the dealership 6 times and currently sitting again waiting for help (last friday I sat 2.5 hours before having to leave to get my child) being reassured again they were on it! With no word all week, I called autonation and mopar this morning and behold….. North phoenix autonation still has not submitted paper work!
Desired outcome: My refunds processed , your service to improve!
I sold my car to Phoenix AutoNation on Bell after i was told they would cut a check for me and I can use the money for down payment. Later they said it was too late in the day to give me a check so they wrote it into contract. 16 days later, I am still texting, calling even drove 6hrs back to dealer and waited Friday and Saturday and end up leaving without my money. I call 1(800) numbers and told I will get a call back in a week. Tried calling the dealership number. No one answers, the messaged options are ignored and it continues to roll through without responding to the selected options. I was also told the bank has not funded, so I contacted the bank, they funded electronically days ago.
I feel like I am annoying my salesperson and employees at dealership; who am I supposed to appeal to help me? I just want my refund check.
Car
Recently, I purchased a 2018 Honda Accord LX for my son.
My husband has discovered some issues with the vehicle.
We called the dealership to address these issues but they will not talk to us. They have placed us on hold for an excessive amount of time, then just hung up. Sometimes when I call, they pick up and hang up. They are acting unprofessional and immature. If nobody at the corporate level is willing to contact the dealership, and us, we will take this complaint to the NBC 5's consumer unit, NBC 5 Responds which is one of the local TV stations consumer complaints department. Obdulia Nations [protected] [protected]@hotmail.com
Desired outcome: Fix the issues on the vehicle
Same thing with me. No one is ever available and they take my number and message, no call back ever. Its clearly they way they do business. They hope you go away.
used car inspection not real
I have bought 3 vehicles from Ford Autonation in the last 6 months. I bought a 2016 Cadillac Escalade from Ford Autonation in Katy TX at the end of April 2022. It had only 49k miles. About 45 days later, the AC went out. Ford AN says I need to take it to a Cadillac dealer. I did. They fixed it and did a courtesy 125-point inspection. Sewell Cadillac said the brakes were at 1mm, but the normal safety range was 3 to 10 mm. I called AN to wonder why that was since it was just inspected before I bought it. Their response was that Cadilla was just trying to sell me brake pads...what? They asked for reports and images. I provided them. Then the manager wouldn't call me back. The salesperson said if I would bring it back to them, then they would look into the problem. I was already at a dealership that they sent me to, and I had a loaner. They didn't want to pay for the repairs. I finally took time, again from work, and I was LOUD in the dealership. The store general manager talked down to me, instead of making me feel like they were going to take care of the problem.
I need another used car for my daughter. I won't be going there. They
Desired outcome: I want them to pay to have my brakes fixed at dealer the car is at and where they sent me.
Autonation subaru not upholding their end for warranty
My Subaru is a 2017 WRX, I currently have 54,000 miles on my car and with the factory warranty, it is said that the warranty covers up to 60,000 or 5 years on the Power Train of the vehicle. I recently had to take the vehicle in for repair because the engine started knocking and is running on 3 cylinders, possibly a bent rod or something. Keep in mind this car is still a factory WRX so no upgrades or modification has been done to the vehicle. I have been taking my vehicle in for oil change services regularly to either Subaru or Grease Monkey up till February 2020 because of the whole COVID Pandemic and from this point on I have been changing the oil myself. I brought the car into the service Center at AutoNation Subaru in Colorado on Arapahoe Road in June of last Month, the Service Writer who wrote up my service ticket took a look at the car and the first thing he said was "if the oil change is not up to date the warranty will not cover the repair on the car". So by him telling me that, he is basically implying we are not going to fix your car if I find any paperwork that doesn't add up. 3 hours later he called me back and left a voice mail "Hey there how are you it's Ian from AutoNation Subaru on Arapahoe I just wanted to give you a quick call to let you know what’s going on with your car, um so, unfortunately, your motor is not going to get covered under warranty, I did pull up your CARFAX report and it looks like the last time an oil change was done was February 1 of 2020 at 31,000 miles um we can even see on your oil filter as well just because grease monkey keeps a sharpie on there I have some pictures as well so unfortunately you do have to come out of pocket for this, um you’re looking about $18,182 all said and done and these parts are on national back-order so if you want, shoot me a call back it'll be great please shoot me a call back at [protected] thank you, bye". After he left the message I thought to myself, first of all, I know my oil filter because I changed it all myself and I know there's no date written on that oil filter nor is there a date stamp from the manufacturer on the oil filter. Also CARFAX? Not every service center reports to CARFAX especially if I changed the oils myself there wouldn’t be any reports to CARFAX. So to make claims against what is reported on CARFAX is inaccurate. He doesn't work for Grease monkey, he works for AutoNation Subaru how is he going to tell me what Grease Monkey does or doesn't do? I went in to take a look at the car and the oil filter and I found that the service writer cleaned the top of the oil filter and literally wrote with a sharpie, February 1, 2020, on top of my oil filter and claimed that Grease Monkey wrote it. I asked to speak with his Manager and he refused and said “He is the one that told me to tell you the warranty is not covered". I left and contacted Subaru of America, a specialist was assigned to my case and I was told they would call me or email me back in a couple of days. Well, a week has gone by, and still no call or email. I called Subaru of America back and was assigned another Specialist named Davina W., she explained the situation and said she will contact the Service Manager from the Subaru Service Center. She also requested that I send her statements and receipts of the oil and filter purchases. I gathered all of my statements and receipts and sent them over, and her response is"Thank you for submitting the transaction history. I will attach it to the case for review. I attempted to reach a live representative from the service department and held for over 10 minutes. I was unable to reach a live representative. Internal communication has been sent to the retailer service department and I've sent an email to the service manager as well. I will follow up with you once I've connected with the retailer. I will be out of the office on 6/27/22 and hope to receive a response tomorrow 6/24/22." I waited a few days for Davina to get back from her time away and received another email on June 28th. “I have received further communication from the service manager at the retailer. I am awaiting a response from my direct leadership team based on the details provided. I hope to have the results of the goodwill assistance review by tomorrow 6/29/22 and will follow up with you and the retailer manager accordingly. “I responded with a thank you for the feedback. I waited a few more days until after the Holiday Weekend and for everyone to return to the office etc. On July 6th I received another email from Davina which says “My apologies for the delay as the review required additional time and consideration from my leadership team prior to myself receiving an update to provide. After much consideration, I apologize to advise you, that the transaction history document that you provided could not be deemed as acceptable proof of vehicle maintenance in accordance with the recommended maintenance schedule from Subaru of America, Inc. I am awaiting a response from the service manager William and the determination of the review will absolutely be completed today 7/6/22. I will follow up with you accordingly and appreciate your patience.” Now for the last couple of years how am I supposed to provide itemized receipts for every purchase I made, I can only provide dates of when I purchased them and from what retailer. I have purchased oil and filters from several different places every 6 months. So what Subaru of America is saying is that not only can they not accept the receipts but because I changed my oil every six months I’m not compliant with their oil change schedule? So are they telling me their Motor is built that poorly that the engine cannot run correctly unless I change the oil every 3 months? I am now stuck with a broken car I am still making payments on, a warranty that doesn’t cover what it says it does, and still getting letters and phone calls from AutoNation to upgrade my warranty on my car because the warranty is expiring. Why? I have been a regular customer of AutoNation and purchased many cars from them in the past, but still, they choose to treat their regular customers like this? It’s such a shame that they will lose a regular customer that praised and thought highly of them until now.
Desired outcome: I would like for AutoNation Subaru to uphold their end of the agreement on the warranty and repair my vehicle. I'm not asking for reimbursements for rental cars or compensation or for time loss.
Service
So pissed at the auto nation in Burleson, TX. My wife bought a 2021 STX about 7 months ago, it needed to go in for transmission service and brakes squealing. Made appointment took it in was informed would be in for about a week said ok. Returned to the dealer around 4 days later because we were in the area just to check on status of repairs. As we drove up my wife saw her truck leaving the dealership so she figured it was being test driven so we hung around waiting to see when he would return. 35 min later the truck has not returned so my wife pulls up ford pass and what we saw on GPS was the technician took our truck home for lunch when we confronted our service tech he almost swallowed his tong at that time he ran to the back got the service manager and he told me it was in the auto nation policy to allow the employees to drive customers vehicles home. We find this appalling.
Was the transmission repaired? He probably was test driving the car and his house just happened to be on the way, not saying that it's okay for him to do this but it is expected for the service technician to drive the vehicle to test the work performed so the problem doesn't come back and to make sure the initial problem has been repaired.
Oil change
I finally got an appointment to have an oil change in my 2015 Hyundai Genesis. After waiting two hours for the oil change the cashier told me my total was $92.91. I tried to explain that my last oil change was only 61.56. Why so much? She explained, "Genesis oil is higher than Hyundai oil" But I have a Hyundai! Since I purchased the Hyundai Genesis, only the dealer service center has changed my oil. The first few were free. Thank you. In December of 2019, my oil change was $35.64, March of 2021 the oil change for the same vehicle was $42.21. 4344 miles prior to my last oil change, I paid Auto Nation $61.56 for an oil change. That's an increase of $31.35!
Desired outcome: Please refund the amount of $31.35 for overcharging for an oil change.
autoNation collision Center Westmount Il
I have a 2021 GLB 250 Mercedes Benz. I ran over a metal object which damage the front bumper and under the hood damage.
My vehicle was towed to the AutoNation Collison in Westmont on Mar 03, 2022.

I've contacted the AutoNation Coporate Office to file a complaint, information was taken by call taker and i have yet to recieve a call after calling from April to June 2022.
Base on this experience i will never take my vehicle or recommend AutoNation to anyone.
Any help will be goofd.
Desired outcome: I would like a reponse, and i would like this matter investigated to find out what are they doing. If you have time look at the other reviews they are pitiful.
Technician driving my wife’s truck home for lunch
Truck went in for warranty work. But we Found out our truck was being used for a technician to go home and eat lunch. We
Confronted the service manager and he said it was Normal for their people to use the vehicles home. ?. We won’t go back to that dealer again.
Desired outcome: Apology
2017 Nissan Rogue
On May 26,2022 my wife and I went in to have our automobile serviced the customer service there is very unprofessional and disrespectful in all ways. We just wanted to have the yearly service we get but these people that are assisting customers do not know how to talk or treat a customer. We had to take our car back because there was still things undone that was requested , so on May 31, 2022 we took the car back and we got very poor customer service and then one of the reps actually started shouting and being very rude to my wife. I was not there but my daughter and grandkids were with her. I just want to let you all know who is representing your business and we will never go there again. My wife was told by the manager all would be taken care of but she had to leave the car over night and that is when the disrespect and unprofessional customer service person acted out even in front of the manager. This is really not fair and not professional. I am a disable Vet and didn't get the discount I was told I would get either, but that's ok.
Desired outcome: The outcome was we paid twice for them to put the car on the computer because we thought that was done the first time. I did get my car serviced and I am grateful of that.
Ford Explorers
I’ve tried everything to get my car fixed I purchased in January. They still have my car as of June 1, 2022. I’ve reached out to GM, District Manager, and Corporate (Natalie) with NO help.
I put 11,000 cash down and this is beyond ridiculous and inconvenient!
Can someone at Autonation help me PLEASE!
I’ve probably drove my car 2 weeks Ian’s service thinks it’s a joke when I do pull up to ask about it.
Wish people would be professional and take their job serious.
I’m very dissatisfied and it can be fixed. Who wants to help?
Desired outcome: Begging for help for a good outcome! I’ve been patient!!! Help [protected]
Car purchase
2 months ago I purchased an Audi A3 etron from Ford Autonation of Bellevue Washington. The next day I noticed they never gave me the charger to charge the car. I had to call them and they said they will order it for me, once I got it I noticed the 110V connection for home charging is missing. I called and explained I can not charge my car at home. Through this process they always say we call you tomorrow and they never do.
With one week of my purchase I noticed Transmission liquid is leaking on the ground. They said bring it in to fix it, it took them 3 weeks to fix my car.
Within 2 weeks after getting the car from their repair shop, I noticed smoke coming out of the engine I was not able to dive the car. I called Ford Autonation and asked to return the car and get my money back and the Sales Manager said I only had 5 days t return the car and I need to tow the car to Audi Autonation for repair. I towed my car and asked for loaner car, they said Ford Autonation sold this car to you so ask them for loaner car which I did and they did not help.
Desired outcome: I would like to return the car
Auto repair service.
On January 18, 2022 I had an automobile accident with my 2015 Ford Escape. Even though the car was drivable I had the vehicle towed to AutoNation repair facility in Margate, Florida on this date. It is now three an a half months later and no repairs have been completed. The reason that they state is that they cannot locate the Hinge Pilar part (OE GJ5Z78211A10A). Yet, I am able to go online and see the parts available at various locations. This is very frustrating for me. I will now try to find another repair facility and have my car transferred as soon as I can.
Desired outcome: I would like this company to pay for the towing costs to move my vehicle to another facility chosen by me.

I was sold a car with a safety hazard, the electrical steering. As well as having multiple issues with safety such as the shocks being blown and all four tires, the electrical steering being out and the catalytic converter being bad and I had to replace it on my own. I spent roughly 1900.00 on repairs so far and the car needs 3,000 more in repairs on the...

Invoices paid by a business credit card is documented as "cash"
AutoNation Chrysler Jeep Broadway, 5445 S. Broadway, Littleton, CO 80121
Invoices will only show paid with cash even if paid with a credit card. Apparently, all transactions paid by a credit card will show paid by cash.
On April 8, 2022, I asked for invoices for services that were provided in 2020.
The invoices were emailed to me: [protected]@gmail.com and to [protected]@che-abatement.com. I noticed that the payment was noted as cash and by credit card. I called AutoNation to get it changed. It was impossible I was informed. I understand it being almost 2 years. However, I was also informed that all payments by all customers' weather they pay by credit card and/or cash, the invoices will state cash.

In March 2015, I bought a certified Jeep Liberty from you. The car was accompanied by all documents from your current history and the inspection that you had carried out for the car to be certified.
It is used about 6 months a year otherwise it is parked.
Over the years, the car has of course required maintenance such as brakes, tires, and everything else that an old car requires in the salt-saturated climate that prevails on the coast.
The air conditioning has been repaired several times and most of it has been replaced.
During our last visit to the workshop, it was pointed out that the condenser healed due to the front frame beam being against and not being repaired correctly after a previous collision. To be able to fix it, the front beams had to be restored.
When I now go through the documentation that was shown when we make the purchase, we see that the car has previously been crashed in the front. But in Er VVO Inspection no ¨fail¨ under point 30 visual frame inspection¨.
When I now unload on the grill myself, the front frame beam is demolished.
When we decided to get a better used car here in Florida, we of course turned to a well-known company that offered certified cars so that we would feel safe.
Now it feels uncertain if the entire front of the car is loose and something can happen when driving.
How do we proceed?
Kind regards
Sten and irene

Please consider this factual account of my encounter with this dealership prior to purchasing from them. I believe it displays an incredible lack of ethics and cause to wonder what other immoral tactics might be part of their business practices. I live 3 hrs away from Bradenton on the East Coast. I traded my 2018 Rav 4 to AutoNation Mall of Georgia. I got my own financing through USAA. I purchased a 2010 Ford F150 Platinum 4x4. The very next day I had to stop by a shop GI Garage in Cumming GA. I had to have Bank1 Sensor1 of the O2 Sensor. The truck also has vacuum leak, and the Electrical switches work intermittently. The dealership put me in a loaner and held my truck for 2 weeks. The truck is a lemon and I requested a refund because I need something reliable. I requested the Service Records of the worked performed while the dealership was working on my truck for the past 2 weeks. I was told by the manager that I was not getting my refund for the O2 Sensor. I would like to get my refund and take my business elsewhere. The manager that I spoke to was Aggressive and Assertive that I had to take the truck back instead of refunding my business and taking back repossession of the truck. I have not driven Truck since they dropped it back off to me. I am Officially hereby requesting to speak to Auto Nation Legal Team to resolve dispute. I have saved text from sales woman Grace. Thank You and God Bless
Desired outcome: Refund/ Unravel The Deal
