I bought my 2017 Hyundai Sonata from Autonation Hyundai Savannah
I bought my 2017 Hyundai Sonata from Autonation Hyundai Savannah. The car was new. But now, they've had my car since April 09th and won't give me a loaner or rental.
They messed up my car and replaced a gas cap for no reason
They messed up my car and replaced a gas cap for no reason. They charged me $160 to figure out and fix the engine light that came on my car. They said the gas cap was the problem and replaced it. The next day, the engine light came back on. I took the car back and now they're saying another part is the issue, and I have to pay an additional $352 to replace it. I asked if they would refund the initial $160 because they misdiagnosed the problem, but they said no. They couldn't even guarantee that it would fix the problem. They're just guessing and trying different things with my car, and they want me to keep spending money until they run out of parts to replace. They already took my money for a problem they can't fix, and I can't get a refund. I only went there because I thought they would have skilled mechanics since it's a Hyundai dealership, but I was mistaken.
To sum up this whole review, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AUTONATION HYUNDAI in Savannah, GA
To sum up this whole review, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AUTONATION HYUNDAI in Savannah, GA. I bought my Hyundai when it was Peacock and those were some great folks. AutoNation? Absolutely terrible, and it's all about the service department. The thing is, they don't have enough staff, or so they say. The point of an appointment is to have a reserved spot to address my problem. On two separate occasions, they either said they didn't have someone to look at my car or they weren't sure. This was made worse by the fact that I made the appointment over a month ago. In short, it seems they can't handle the workload, which is fine if they managed it better and communicated with people. An employee told me they handle 40 plus cars a day, but when it was my turn, no one could help me. I found another Hyundai dealership nearby, but they just started accepting appointments again because they were so busy they had to stop. They diagnosed my problem, ordered a part, and I was on my way in two hours. That seems like a smart way to run a service department, but I'm not in that line of work so I'll stop talking about it. Simply put, don't buy a vehicle from AutoNation Hyundai in Savannah unless you plan on using a different service department. If you have any issues with your car, you'll waste days of your time and they won't fix the problem. They'll just say they don't have someone to look at it today, even though today is the day you scheduled an appointment for.

Customer care
After trading in my 6 year old car for a new 2023 Santa Cruz I was informed by the sales person that if there was a problem in the delivery of my new car it would reflect on her personal review, not the issue with the car so I need to give her a perfect delivery score. That should have been my RED flag, but being 79 I felt sorry for her. The car was to be...

My 2017 hyuandai accent was in the shop at the Savannah location for break-in repairs in June and when I went to pick up my car, the plastic adhesive that was left on my window had melted to the frame of my car. They were unable to remove the adhesive. I was told that day a frame part would be ordered the same day. It has been 3 weeks since and nothing has been done. The part was never ordered. The manager Alice at Autonation Hyuandai was unaware of this situation and has lacked communication with me regarding this situation. I am very displeased and disappointed that after I paid over $1000 for the previous repairs, my car is returned to me with damage.
Desired outcome: I would like a new frame for my door replaced.

We got this car in October
We got this car in October. It's a 2023 GV70. Paid the whole price. They didn't tell us that the Genesis dealership was closing on January 1st. Totally caught off guard. You don't just close a dealership out of the blue. The nearest dealership is in South Carolina. If we knew this, I wouldn't have paid 65,000. I'm really upset.
I bought a car from Peacock Hyundai on Tuesday, August 3rd
I bought a car from Peacock Hyundai on Tuesday, August 3rd. The 2022 Tucson was priced at 28,390. When I read my contract, I noticed that the dealership added a warranty called the Peacock Pro Package for around 3,500. Nobody asked me or informed me about this expensive warranty, and I want a refund. I called Peacock, but they said it couldn't be canceled. I also sent emails to the GM, ***. They haven't provided me with any solution. People are struggling financially during this pandemic, and this dealership is taking advantage of their customers whenever they can.
On 9/15/22, I dropped my car off at Autonation Hyundai Savannah for service
On 9/15/22, I dropped my car off at Autonation Hyundai Savannah for service. They told me it would take 7-10 days to work on my car. But here we are on 10/13/22, and no one has bothered to call me with an update. I don't even know if my car is still at the dealership because they never answer the phone. And when I do manage to get through, the person on the other end has no clue what's happening, so I have to leave a message. The General Manager is always unavailable, and the service manager is purposely avoiding my calls. I'm certain of this because I had to contact the sales department, and they personally delivered a message to her desk for me. Yet, I still haven't received a call back. All I want is a simple update on my car, nothing more. I don't expect it to be ready, just a status update. This business is absolutely terrible. I will never bring my car back here again.
The car I bought got wrecked in October
The car I bought got wrecked in October . My insurance paid their part the next month. In December, I filed for GAP insurance and they told me to call the dealership to cancel the warranty. I talked to Keith Burgess in February and he said it would take 6-8 weeks to finish the process. I waited, but didn't get a call back. I went to the dealership in May and talked to the GM. They said the warranty was canceled. I called the number on the cancellation quote and they asked for more documents, which I sent. Finally, on May 21, the warranty was canceled. They said the check would be sent to the dealership in 8-10 business days. I called Hyundai Peacock many times and went there on July 8, but they promised to call me back and never did.
In April 2022, my Hyundai Sonata's engine broke down on me
In April 2022, my Hyundai Sonata's engine broke down on me. I scheduled an appointment with Autonation Hyundai Savannah on Abercorn for 05/02/22. They informed me that the earliest available appointment was on 07/11/22, so I agreed to it. I tried calling them for two weeks and left messages about my appointment, but received no response or callbacks. Eventually, I decided to visit the dealership in person. They gave me the runaround, saying they might have to delay looking at my vehicle. I waited a couple of days and returned for the diagnostics report, only to be told that they never intended to honor my appointment because their diagnostic mechanic was off for the entire week. It was the same person who initially lied to me about the vehicle being looked at one day late. As a single mom with no family in town and no car to drive for nearly three months, except for occasional rentals, this situation has been incredibly challenging. Hyundai, what are you going to do about this? Are you not going to fix my car? Will you not provide a loaner? What's the deal? If I'm not mistaken, the engine warranty contract states that I should be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket rental expenses. If that's the case, where is my $5000 check? Do you need my address?
I tried calling and emailing many times, but no solution
I tried calling and emailing many times, but no solution. Look at my email I sent today. Email sent Attention to: General Manager *** Financial Manager *** Salesman *** Cc: ComplaintsBoard.com, Navy Federal Disputes RE: Follow-Up attempt I want to know where your accounting department is with sending the $4,145.70 difference that I had to pay AUTONATION for the Hyundai Sonata buyout. AutoNation said they would send the $4,145.70 difference to TD AUTO FINANCE to finalize the payoff quote from TD AUTO FINANCE. My bank cleared the funds on Dec. 31st, but TD AUTO FINANCE still hasn't received the payment. Every day that the payment is not sent, they charge a daily per diem. Even though Financial Manager *** told me that I don't have to make any vehicle payments until September 2024, that doesn't matter. *** also said the accounting department would handle it right away with their same-day process. The whole transaction was completed on December 30. The funds cleared my bank on December 31. I've been a Hyundai customer for more than 15 years, and I've never experienced such poor customer service or business ethics. This is a disaster.
I took my car to AutoNation Hyundai Savannah on 3/12/22 because it had an oil consumption problem
I took my car to AutoNation Hyundai Savannah on 3/12/22 because it had an oil consumption problem. I first noticed this issue in Statesboro back in December when I was getting my tires rotated. I had a previous conversation with AutoNation and they told me that fixing the oil consumption problem would take four days at their dealership. So, I left my car there and picked it up on 3/16/22. On that day, I had a phone call with the Service Department and they assured me that the problem would be resolved with the process they performed.
However, this week I randomly checked my oil level and discovered that my vehicle is two quarts low. From 3/16/2022 to 4/24/2022, my car has lost two quarts of oil. I asked two different mechanics in Statesboro about this issue, and they both told me that I was charged for three cleanings, which were essentially the same. One mechanic even mentioned that I was overcharged $700 for simple cleanings.
I tried to contact AutoNation on April 24 through the Sales Manager, ***, but I couldn't reach him in the morning. I tried again in the afternoon, but still no answer. My mechanic also left a message in the morning. (*** gave me his card during a previous visit and assured me that I could always reach him.) On 4/25, I called ***, the General Manager, and asked him to contact *** on my behalf. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any response from ***. So, on April 26, I left a message with *** and pleaded with him to help me by reaching out to ***. However, I didn't receive any response from ***.
Finally, on April 27, *** called me and informed me that *** had called and spoken to my mechanic in the late afternoon of April 26. However, ***'s response to my mechanic's questions was basically that he had only been at AutoNation for four months and had no idea what they did to my vehicle, even though my mechanic explained every procedure to him directly from my receipt.
Overall, I have received poor service and was overcharged for a procedure that didn't fix my vehicle.
To Whom It May Concern: I gotta say, I'm super disappointed with the way this dealership has treated me
To Whom It May Concern: I gotta say, I'm super disappointed with the way this dealership has treated me. It's like they don't even care about me as a customer. This whole experience has been a total mess and I really regret having to deal with them. So, my car broke down on December 28, right in the middle of the road. I called the dealership to see if they could help me figure out what was wrong. But guess what? They couldn't even tell me when they would check my car or what repairs it needed. And when I asked about getting a loaner car or something, they just made excuses and said they couldn't help until they knew what was wrong with my car. So now I'm stuck trying to find and pay for another car while they take their sweet time. It's now January 11th and they still haven't figured out what's wrong with my car, even though I had an appointment that was scheduled before all this happened. I went to the dealership hoping they would prioritize my appointment, but nope, they ignored me again. It's like they don't care about me at all. They don't even bother to give me updates or a timeline for when my car will be fixed. It's been a whole month and I still don't know when this nightmare will end. All I want is a solution and my car back.
