Dear sirs, please understand the activities of the cruise agent Nancy M. (AVOYA TRAVEL (42726), cruiseruss, working through the booking system avoyatravel. Apparently, after the number of tourists from Belarus and Russia decreased, Nancy M.'s agent began to deceive tourists. She deliberately gives false information about the possibility of boarding ship...

This has turned into a mess!
The kids can't stay in the cabin without an adult.
So, switched Hitchleen with Merinda and now have pay $700 more for her to have a plus package.
Merinda doesn't even have a phone.
I have been on the phones for hours straighting out bithdys and names. I never did get a price breakdown on the
Kids cabin.
No, I won't be going thru you for future vacations.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Leads are no good

I joined Avoya as they offered leads and I was promised that I would receive higher tiered quality leads. This did NOT happen.

I priced as many leads as I could receive (not many) then they froze the leads as I had apparently applied for to many.

Not one lead panned out. Upon further investigation and deeper looking into the leads that were sent, most of them were old leads that either the customer hadn't responded to or were awhile ago.

Not one valuable lead. How can you apply for a lead also when leads are frozen.

They were happy to keep taking my money each month until I could finally, thankfully, cancel membership. It cost me a little money to learn the hard way that Avoya do not deliver honest good leads.

Desired outcome: Refund of monies.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency cannot contact my agent at avoya travel

In January 2023 I booked reservations for a cruise on the MSC for 16-20 July 2023. I immediately booked 4 other cabins and paid the deposit. I have spoke to the agent twice in February pointing out mistakes he made. I have been unable to contact the agent since February 14. I have been calling all numbers provided. Today I got the message that all agents were no longer available. I think this is absolutely insane and I want to know what's going on and I want to be booked on another cruise line for the same dates. This is no way to do business. After this cruise I will think really hard about Avoya.

Desired outcome: I would like to be booked on another cruise with the same price. I would also like an apology for being put off

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Service, abandonment

BEWARE OF AVOYA TRAVEL AND THEIR AGENTS

On July 15, I hired Kathy Gill, Busy Time Travel, Avoya Network to become my agent regarding an upcoming trip to Churchill Manitoba. She arranged flights with United Airlines and Air Canada for November 1, 2022. Twice my flights were cancelled. Neither time my flights were rescheduled, nor did Gill and Avoya even notify me.

On October 11, I called Air Canada to ask which gate I should arrive at. They told me that my flight had been cancelled on Sept. 12. Had I not contacted Air Canada about departure information, I would not have known. Gill and AVOYA neither notified me, nor made arrangements for a new flight. That was their job! I spent hours with both airlines in the next two days. I was charged another $163 from Air Canada. I had to purchase new flights to Winnipeg. United told me I was due a refund of $26, and refused to give it to me. I informed both United and Air Canada that only I be allowed to make any further changes. They both agreed that only I would be able to make any changes.

On October 14, Gill with Avoya informed me that Frontier was about to cancel my trip THAT DAY. Although she had this message from Frontier for over a month, she only informs me hours before cancellation. This issue was resolved within 5 minutes in speaking with Frontier. Once again, abandoned by Avoya and Gill.

On October 31, Gill emailed me. She stated my entire, original $805 United/Air Canada charge was disputed by me. It was not. Once again, I had to call the airlines to confirm that her allegations were incorrect. Once again, much more wasted time and stress.

Again, on October 31, less than 13 hours before my departure, Gill cancelled my flights with United and Air Canada. The airlines never informed me. They allowed Gill to cancel the flights that I made on October 11, despite their assurances that Gill would not be allowed to intervene. I spent hours again on the telephone hours before departure hoping that I would be allowed to depart. This new flight resulted in a three hour earlier departure, with an extra stop in Chicago. On November 1, I had to spend more of my vacation time trying to arrange another flight home.

On October 12, I sent a letter to the Scott Kirby, the CEO of United. A copy is enclosed. I also emailed a letter to Michael Rousseau, the CEO of Air Canada. Of course, neither responded.

AVOYA TRAVEL has caused me many, many hours of work, stress and extra expenses. This has been a pitiful experience for me. They nearly sabotaged my entire $8000 trip to Churchill, Manitoba.

I believe that I am eligible for compensation and refunds.

Tony,

I am out of the country and do not have your phone numbers with me. I must talk with you about this dispute. If this is not cleared up they will list you as not paid in full and give up your space on the tour. If that happens you will not get your money back for the Tour and for the Air.

They called me a few weeks about the first dispute and she said it was taken care of then you have disputed the charge again. The invoice and amount you were charged is correct. Please refer to all of the invoices I have sent you.

Below is the email I received today from them.

Please let me know what you are going to do because time is ticking on this.

One of our adventure planners reached out to you recently with regards to your client, Anthony Raymond, who is booked on one of our tours (invoice attached). At that time, your client had disputed charges made to his credit card through his credit card company, in the amount of $525.03 CAD. Moneris returned the money to the client and charged Frontiers North's bank account. We reviewed the file and determined that the client had not been overcharged so Moneris issued a chargeback to the customer (your client).

This week, we received another disputed charge for the identical amount. We have once again reviewed the file and determined that your client was not overcharged, but once again we are short $525.03 CAD from your client.

It appears that there's been some sort of misunderstanding on your client's part. As a result, we have now also incurred fees in the amount of $50 due to the chargebacks issued by Moneris. It is our hope that you are able to work with your client to come to resolve this/

In order for Anthony Raymond to travel with us on this Polar Bears at Tundra Buggy Lodge trip from Nov. 1-7, 2022, we require that the outstanding balance, in the amount of $525.03 CAD, be paid immediately. If we have not received payment in full prior to 3 p.m. CT tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 14), we will be required to release your client's space on this tour on the basis of non-payment.

Should you have any questions or require clarification, please let me know. We do hope you are able to work with Mr. Raymond to find a mutually agreeable solution.

Kind regards,

Jessica Burtnick

Dear Mr. Kirby,

After three of your agents refused to provide me with your address, an agent with United instructed me to contact you directly. I am exasperated with my treatment both by Air Canada, and United Airlines.

On July 13 I booked my trip to Winnipeg. On October 11, I called AC to ask what gate I check in at BWI. I was told that my flight was cancelled. I asked when. I was told September 12. I asked why no one had contacted me. He said someone should have, but provided no explanation. He said I had an $805 credit waiting for me. I asked for a new booking. He refused, and said to call United. United refused to book me a new flight, and said to call Air Canada. Someone named Mark answered, and said he was with Air Canada . He booked me a new flight, but charged me an additional $167. He said the price had increased. I called United, and the supervisor said that not only had I been overcharged, but the cost of the flight was now $26 less. United refused my requests for both refunds.

I made a previous complaint that same day. The case number is [protected]. This email response indicated that I had a skype interview. I do not do skype. This email had a "do not respond" indicator. So, once again I called United. I was told someone would call me after 2 pm on October 18. Did I receive a call-course not. Instead, I get another complaint #[protected]. This complaint appears to be just another waste of my time.

I have since learned that you did not have any of my personal contact information. How can you make a reservation for a traveler without having any information, so they can be notified directly? How can you and/or Air Canada cancel a flight, and not provide a refund? How can you overcharge someone to make a new flight?

I really resent the way I have been treated, and I hope that you will take measures to see others are not dealt with in such a manner.

Tony,

They are telling me you must provide proof that you paid the $779.00 directly to United or Air Canada. You can do this by taking a picture of statement where you paid and send it to me at [protected]. Can be done in a text. Then I will send it to them.

Issue is they way it is showing in the system the funds were there and they just rebooked. This needs to get cleared up.

Please do not interfere now.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Constant harassment

How I regret every landing on their webpage.

Some of you can relate. You are looking to cruise and casually check a few travel agency websites to compare prices. And, really, you should be able to do that with a certain amount of privacy.

After landing on and casually checking prices on Avoya Travel's site, I regret it with each passing day.

This site forces you to supply personal information before it shows you prices. In doing so, I found that I would be continually harassed by phone calls from their agents and countless email advertisements that I can't unsubscribe from. I click on the unsubscribe button in my email and it takes me to their webpage with no further instructions. The harassing newsletters then continue.

Go read the complaints on their Better Business Bureau page from both customers and employees before making a decision to deal with this company.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency I was promised $150 on board credit on Celebrity cruise from Rome on June 24, 2022 and did not receive it.

We were advised that we would receive a credit of $150 on our Celebrity cruise and according to the Customer Relations personnel on board, they were not advised of any such credit. I advised our agent Joseph Lilies by email immediately and he said he would sort it a.s.a.p. but nothing arrived. I requested the credit on our return home and have been various reasons as to why it has not been approved and Joseph suggested that he would give me this credit on my next booking. This is not good service and not honest.

Desired outcome: Please provide promised $150.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Failure to provide promised shipboard credit on December 2021 cruise.

We were promised a $300 shipboard credit from Avoya when we booked a cruise in June, 2021. When we boarded the ship in December, no $300 credit! I have had 4 phone calls and over 25 texts and e-mails, trying to recover the promised $300. They refuse to communicate and three months later, no reimbursement, no nothing. Their agent repeatedly promises that they will send the $300, but I think they are deceiving her as well. They simply reneged on their agreement, and now stonewall. It is so unprofessional, so dishonest, it is breathtaking.

Desired outcome: We would like the reimbursement of the agreed upon $300 credit that never appeared on the ship records. Three months later, we would like the reimbursement sent to our home.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency General dealings with Avoya Travel

In 2017 I began a relationship with an Avoya agent located in Montana. She booked two cruises for me and I was very satisfied with her service. In early 2020 a cruise I had booked for May was cancelled due to the pandemic and after repeatedly trying to contact her with no luck I finally reached out to Avoya and asked if they could move my booking to another agent and request FCC so I would not lose all my perks. They did give my booking to another agent but he requested a refund and I lost my discounts, drink package and OBC.

In early 2021 I tried to book another cruise with Carnival but when I told them about the perks I previously had they recommended I return to Avoya and book again through them. What a huge mistake that turned out to be. I was assigned an agent out of New York who has been extremely frustrating to work with. I contacted him and asked him to book a specific aft balcony cabin that was available. He did not respond for 3 days and then told me that he had booked me into a different aft balcony cabin - one that was accessible. I told him that I did not need an accessible cabin and he said that was the only aft balcony left and that he told Carnival I had some problem with walking and when I got to the ship I should just drag my leg a bit when checking in.

I had originally booked two months earlier on another ship and paid it in full. When I changed my mind and ask him to cancel that sailing and move the funds onto this new ship he sent me an invoice that showed I owed more than I did because I was not credited for the full amount I had paid on the first booking. He said it was an issue with Carnival and not to worry about it. In early July I issued a payment on my credit card for the remaining balance and again expressed concern that I had not been credited for all the funds I had paid on the first booking. He had me speak with Carnival twice on a 3-way call and I was assured that my booking was paid in full but it was an internal bookkeeping issue. A week later when the date for my final payment was due because my account did not look like it was paid in full my booking was cancelled. I had to track down my agent since Carnival won't speak with you when you are working thru an agent, and expressed my upset about my cancelled booking. He was very unconcerned but did call me back 3 days later to tell me he had gotten my booking reinstated. Despite repeatedly asking for an invoice showing my payments were all recorded properly, he was never able to provide me with a correct invoice.

When I first booked with him I stressed that I needed a sofa in my cabin because I have Restless Leg Syndrome and an often up during the night and needed an alternative place to try and get some sleep. He kept assuring me the accessible cabin he had booked had a sofa, but after calling Carnival's special needs department directly I found that there was no sofa in the cabin. I contacted him and he argued that he was right and I was wrong, but I insisted that he move us to a forward cabin instead, which he did.

During all this time I had asked about any perks for our booking and he promised me if Carnival did not give us something he would provide something himself. I ended up speaking with Guest Relations at Carnival regarding the problem with documenting my payments correctly and after speaking with a rude woman I finally got her to give me $50 OBC. When I had my Avoya agent move us to a forward cabin I suddenly had $579.50 in OBC and his comment was "don't ask". I appreciated the OBC but when I checked online for pricing on the exact same forward cabin next to mine I found that it was booking at $496 less than what I had paid for the aft cabin so it was actually a pricing issue that provided that OBC, not anything the agent did like he implied.

I have sent 4 emails to Avoya asking to speak with a supervisor in addition to at least 5 phone calls where I left similar messages - to date no one has contacted me. I was told by an Avoya agent that Avoya does not govern over any of their agents, which I find astounding. How could you have an independent agent represent your company and your company name and not want oversight into their performance.

After this experience I will go back to arrange bookings myself and I will never use Avoya again, nor will I ever recommend that anyone else use them.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency insurance

My 80-year-old parents booked a flight and cruise through one of your agents. Their flight was delayed and the next flight out got canceled, causing them to miss their cruise. They purchased trip insurance, thinking they were covered in case of such matters and thinking the agent would steer correctly in their purchase. Under this insurance, the allianz insurance wants to give them $400 back. They lost over $5, 000. The agent was and acts surprised that the cancelations are not considered as trip interruption. The agent is not fully aware of what she sold to my parents and now my parents are out of a lot of money. Not acceptable. I have been in the hospitality industry for years and this is a pretty big issue, selling things that you are not fully aware what's covered and not outlining to your purchasers what is actually covered, what will happen if something does occur etc. My parents are 80 years old and trusted the agent would direct them in the right path. I have also been trying to reach somehow a corporate number to speak with someone other than the agent that may help us in this matter. No responses provided.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency agent

Worst travel-agent experience of my life (Ft. Lauderdale branch). Avoid at all costs. The most egregious errors (there were many others):
1. Booked specific plane route (and first class) to Caribbean island. Route was changed without client notification. Attempts to remedy the situation by agent were non-existent.
2. Booked two deluxe resort rooms. Arrived at resort only to find that only one room was booked, with no available rooms left at the resort. Agent then LIED and said that was what Client booked, despite email evidence to the contrary. Attempts to remedy the situation by agent were non-existent.
3. Return flight route (and first class) booking changed without client notification again. Did not have seat available for flight out, Client could not afford to waste a day on stand-by, had to leave resort early and at personal expense to guarantee timely flight home. Attempts to remedy the situation by agent were non-existent.
4. Absolutely NO apologies or attempts to remedy situation by agent before, during or after experience.

Side note, was told by resort that, quote, "We have had problems with that agent before", despite agent being a direct, endorsed agent by resort.

Worst agent ever, would have a had a smoother trip without involving travel agency at all.

I had to cancel my trip. 200 US $ was lost instantly to the agent (Shannon Jabbour) at Avoya Travel. The next step was that my remaing 700 US $ refundable money came back as a voucher. And it was valid for 12 monts. Then the money goes to Avoya Travel.
No information on this arrangement was ever received. I tried to contact the email address that carried the voucher and it bounced back as unknown. They made it look like RCCL ([protected]@rccl.com) but this is a hoax.
When i place aquestion about the arrangement it was the end of response from Avoya Travel.
Stay away as this is fraud. And it will also be my last cruise with RCCL as they dont mind being asosiated with this form of business operations. They fall in the same category in my world (fraud) as they dont clean up their business relationship

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency travel insurance

Booked a 14 day transatlantic cruise with Tina Bradley. We paid for the travel insurance, on day 8 of the cruise my wife slipped and broke her knee. The insurance was through the RCCL and when they checked they told us we didn't have insurance. I looked on my booking confirmation and it didn't show the insurance. My wife spent the next 5 days at sea in a wheelchair. The cruise line made us get off the ship in Malaya, Spain where we flew back home. My wife had surgery the next day at a hospital in Florida. I called Tina Bradley and told her what took place about the insurance. She told me I did have insurance and she would be talking with RCCL and Avoya Travel about the insurance. I asked her to send me the booking showing the insurance, this one did show I bought travel insurance. A couple weeks went by I called Tina Bradley and her reply was she's still waiting to hear from RCCL and when she knows something she would be getting back in touch. I called her on the 12th of May 2017 and then again 2 weeks later and she has yet gotten back with me. Avoya Travel made contact with me a week ago when I posted on Facebook. I told them what took place and they said they would look into it. They got right back with me and said there's nothing they can do for me. They explained to me if I told RCCL I had insurance then everything would have been taking care of. Well any time your in an accident weather it be in your car or needing medical attention the first thing asked is do you have insurance. I told RCCL we had insurance and asked them to call Avoya Travel. Would anybody pay for insurance not tell, give me a break.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency unethical/unprofessional behavior - failure to honor promotions

Stay away from this company at all costs. Extremely unprofessional, incompetent agents. Booked a cruise based on a promotion offered on their website. Agent was asked if I have to use Amex Card for promotion, agent said no. Used MC, didn't get promotion. Called agent then agent said I was right and refunded MC and charged Amex. One hour before remainder of cruise payment was due at 11pm on a Saturday night get email from agent reminding of cruise payment. By Sunday morning, Royal Caribbean had cancelled our cruise for failure to pay. Able to get cruise reinstated through frantic phone calls taking up 6 hours of our Sunday. Had to re-book all excursions that were booked. 3 weeks until sailing noticed that promotion was not on reservation. Was told that it was due to remainder being charged on MC. Agent never reported that because it was frantic.
Customer service could care less. Worst company ever. Stay far away.
The right thing for them to do would be to honor their promotion and give compensation for the totality of errors their company has caused.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Cruise trip

I have booked mine and my partner's trip for April 2017. Thus far, our Personal Vacation Planner has been readily available for questions, comments, and suggestions concerning our trip. However, we have never been on a cruise before and we were naive about some aspects of the process, and thus were taken advantage of concerning cost.

In my experience, when planning any trip through an agency or agent, once I had identified my address, further costs were given to me in the currency of my nation of residence, Canada (6 previous trips planned through different travel agencies and agents). This seems obvious, considering all flight times, and any return phone calls times for planning were given to me in my local time.

I ended up missing online limited time deals for both a cruise and flights because I paid in US currency. By the time I received confirmation of my trip, it was far too late to book the better deals on the cruise, but the flight could be canceled. Once I realized I had paid in US currency, it was obvious I received no deal or discount whatsoever for our flight by booking through Ayoya, and actually paid more than the average flights available to me.

At the time of booking, I also recorded that we were told we would receive the premium drinking package with wine up to $13 a glass, and later found out we only had the classic drinking package; another disappointment and overpayment.

Now that we have paid as much as we have for our trip, our other travel expenses are restricted and we will have very limited funds for exploring ports and excursions.

I do reiterate that our Ayoya Travel Planner was very knowledgable and kind, but overall disappointed with the Ayoya travel agency. I booked through Ayoya because we have never been on cruise and thought it would ease the stress and make coordinating the different cruise aspects (room, drink package, and flights) easier. Instead, I would have had better luck completing the process myself online. I feel ripped off and anxious concerning our misleading, and now, very expensive trip.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Contact

They send me emails with nice rates concerning holland america cruises.

Since I live in the netherlands I was not sure if they would sell these rates to me.

I asked 3 times by email if they would honor those rates to me, ?

No answer—reaction abouth make a booking with a 800 number... And again no answer at all.

Avoya ? Aloha !

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Travel agency

Michael L. Wrote a review for Avoya Travel 2 minutes ago
1.0 star rating 8/1/2016
The issue was simple- I wanted and paid for a room for 4 (suite) rather than 2 separate rooms which would have been less expensive. When I asked for help I was told the agency was an independent contractor and was not in a position to help. To be fair she tried but cruise was full and the room technically with 2 cots could fit 4 but anyone would pay for 2 separate rooms with 2 bathrooms had they been informed. The agent simply said that is what RCL told her and she never saw the ship herself.. When it comes to making good on the poor information financially I was told I was on my own. I think your a lot better off simply booking with the line directly . If there is a problem you can deal directly with them V's an "independent agency" even though they lead you to believe you are dealing with Avoya travel.

Avoya Travel / Rev Agency Crise & booking

■■■■■ avoid avoya travel■■■■

A separated mom of 3. I scheduled a cruise for last year 2015 as a graduation present to my daughter. I made a $750 deposit. I emailed my avoya rep at the time to cancel my cruise or push it back to a later date. She informed me this would bring a penalty of $250 but the remaining $500 would be placed in the carnival guest care account. She confirmed this through email. Rep left avoya travel last year.

I began to get emails from the (New) reps on 5/11/15. I immediatley forwarded my previous emails to the new reps that i received from the previous rep.

They agreed i would lose the $250 and the $500 would be kept by carnival guest care acct for me to use within 24 months.

I spoke to the new reps again on november 29, 2015 at 10:58 am to confirm this again. They assured me the $500 was safe in the carnival guest care. I called carnival at 12:00pm they confirmed what was stated to me.

I called the reps on june 22, 2016; to re-schedule my cruise with carnival i was sent a email stating "i need to take it up with carnival."

Avoya will not honor the first initial information that i was sent with my confirmation from the first rep and only wanted to discuss my contact with the new reps.

They stated my cruise was never cancelled or re scheduled!

Avoya now saids, i am out of $750. As of june 22, 2016; the new reps would not honor what was previously agreed too by the previous rep or during our phone conversations.

I am devastated! $500 really? Now, i am being told by the new reps, it is carnivals fault!

I called avoya and asked for the complaint dept at 6:43 pm 6/23/16; i was transferred to a customer care rep. I then emailed customer care at 1:43am 6/24/16.

I explained to them i don't want a refund. I want it applied to another cruise as a deposit!

Their affiliates are scam artist!

Avoya reps said one thing and never follows through behind the scenes even when a email a confirmations are sent to their customers along with booking info. I will make sure to inform my family and friends to never use avoya!

Disgusted and hurt!
