BandsinTown False Advertising: Snoop Dogg No-Show Disappoints and Customer Service Fails
So, I was browsing BandsinTown and saw that Snoop Dogg was supposed to be performing. I was so excited that I bought tickets right away. But when I got to the venue, I found out that he was never even scheduled to perform! I was so disappointed. I tried to contact customer service, but they were no help at all. It was a total waste of my time and money. I don't think I'll be using BandsinTown again. It's just not worth the hassle.
Bandsintown Review: Great Concept, Room for Improvement in Featuring Local Talent
This website is pretty neat. The idea behind it is awesome, but there's room for improvement. I'm a big fan of music, especially when it's live. It would be even better if it included more obscure artists. I mean, I can always check out livenation to see when the big names are coming to town. It would be great if Bandsintown also featured local talent.
Beware of BandsinTown: Selling Tickets Before They're Available
So, I was pretty stoked to see a show in my area being promoted on BandsinTown. But then I noticed something fishy going on. They were already selling "tickets" for a show that hadn't even started selling tickets yet! I mean, come on, that's a pretty big red flag, right? And it seems like this isn't an isolated incident. So, I gotta say, be careful if you're thinking about buying tickets through them. I personally wouldn't risk it. I ended up unsubscribing and blocking them. It's just not worth the hassle.
False Advertising and No Refunds: My Terrible Experience with BandsinTown and Ticketmaster
I'm so mad right now! Me and my friends spent a lot of money, like over $261, on tickets that we thought were gonna be super cool. But then we found out that the ads were lying to us! And now we can't even get our money back! BandsinTown is not helping us at all, even though we bought the tickets through them. And Ticketmaster just told us to talk to BandsinTown, so we're stuck in this stupid loop. I don't even know who's in charge of this mess! This whole thing is just the worst.
Bandsintown Review: A Useless Alert System and Lack of Customer Service
Bandsintown is a website that supposedly alerts you to activity from your favorite bands. You know, live shows and in the pandemic era, live streams. For the past two Mondays, Bandsintown has sent me an email about The National doing a live stream on that Monday. That's all - no further info, just get excited, click on our site, look at the ads that provide our revenue, hey, sucks to be you. I think the site is some kind of bot. There's no customer service contact. It's a scam. So, I'm dumping this piece of disappointing garbage.
I mean, seriously, what's the point of getting an alert if it doesn't give you any useful information? It's like, "Hey, your favorite band is doing something today, but we're not going to tell you what it is. Just go to our site and figure it out yourself." That's not helpful at all.
And don't even get me started on the lack of customer service. I tried to contact them about this issue, but there's no way to do so. It's like they don't even care about their users. They just want to make money off of us by showing us ads.
Overall, I would not recommend Bandsintown to anyone. It's a waste of time and energy. If you want to stay up-to-date on your favorite bands, there are plenty of other websites and apps out there that actually provide useful information. Don't waste your time with this garbage.
BandsinTown Review: Disappointing Experience with Incorrect Show Listings
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with BandsinTown. I was all hyped up to see one of my favorite artists perform, but when I got to the venue, it was a completely different artist! And not even one that I was remotely interested in. I mean, come on, BandsinTown, get your act together!
And it's not just me. I've read a bunch of other reviews from people who had the same problem. It's like they're advertising shows for artists with similar names, but not actually checking to make sure it's the right one. And good luck trying to get in touch with a real person to sort it out. It's like they're hiding behind their website and not taking responsibility for their mistakes.
I don't know about you, but I don't have money to waste on some random show that I didn't even want to go to in the first place. It's frustrating and a waste of time. I mean, I get it, mistakes happen, but this seems like a pretty big one to me.
Honestly, it's just another example of why you can't always trust technology. Sometimes you just gotta go old school and do things the manual way. Lesson learned, BandsinTown. I won't be fooled again.
Bandsintown Mishap: Wrong Band, No Refund, Poor Customer Service
So, I had a bit of a mishap with Bandsintown recently. I received an email from them in July advertising a band called "Fold" that I was excited to see in early September. The photo in the email clearly showed the band I thought I was going to see, so I clicked on the turquoise button at the bottom of the email to purchase tickets through the Skiddle app.
It wasn't until a member of the band, who happens to be a friend on Facebook, told me that it wasn't their band playing, but another "Fold" that played House/Techno. I was shocked! How was I supposed to know that this was the wrong "Fold"?! And why would I have thought any differently?! It turns out that "Fold London" is actually the name of a Rave Club, which is not what I was expecting at all.
I tried to get a refund, but it was impossible. Bandsintown's customer service was really poor and none of their FAQs applied to my situation. Plus, the fact that they're located on the other side of the world didn't help matters. They even tried to blame Skiddle for their mistake! I eventually found Skiddle's phone number, but they were equally unhelpful. I sent both companies proof of past emails, but it was all for nothing. I just have to accept that I won't be getting my £23 back.
Needless to say, I won't be trusting Bandsintown again anytime soon. It's a shame because I've used their service before and had no issues, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. So, if you're planning on using Bandsintown to purchase tickets, just be careful and double-check that you're buying tickets for the right band!
