Disappointing Customer Service Experience
I recently had a disappointing experience with Bank Alfalah's customer service. Despite my efforts to resolve issues through email and WhatsApp chat, I found the responses unhelpful and the overall service lacking. The suggestion to visit a branch in person after failed online attempts left me frustrated and questioning the convenience of using the bank's services. If this is indicative of the overall service quality, it raises concerns about the bank's customer-centric approach.
Warning for overseas Pakistanis
Very questionable banking practices. I do not trust this bank. I regret ever opening bank account with them and do remittance. Please go somewhere else.
I need to lodge complaint against your banker Mr. Ali Munawar (premier bank manager at Abbottabad main Manshera road branch) for unethical banking practices and fraud along with conspiracy. Mr. Munawar conspired with Mr. Yasar Khan and took my signatures to open bank account in June 2022. He didn't open the account until months later without my presence or permission. He conspired with Mr. Yasar Khan who is my ex-husband to commit fraud and drain my account of approximately 2.35 crore rupees equivalent to 80 thousand dollars. He prevented me from logging into my account, prevented me from getting my bank statements and conspired with Mr. Yasar Khan to withdraw approximately 2.35 crore without my consent leaving only 388 rupees or $1.32.
Desired outcome: Refund my money and fire the banker Ali Munawar

I came to Pakistan in February 2022 and meet the guy call Rehan Ahmad Bank Alfalah Relationship Manager regarding the amount of money that been stuck in my bank account he took all the required documents from me to process it and said it will done soon after that have came back UK and been calling him messaging them but no answer I went Pakistan again this year in January and speak then got the same answer that it will be done in few day but until now nothing had been done and your staff doesn’t even bother to answer my calls or messages what kind of service are you guys providing it’s small simple issue I don’t understand why your bank can’t solve it when all the others bank have solve it and have returned my money by doin this you guys are showing that we can’t trust you people with our money because you people can do anything

I want to mention that Alfalah bank used to be a good one but now it is the worst bank in Pakistan.
They just keep in closing your accounts, cards, and one advice from one employee was that please do not keep money in the account.
I do not know what services such a bank will provide. I had 3 accounts and all are closed due to their new CDD service and there is no balance in account.

Moreover whatever application is made for the banks, they ask for Pakistani number and if I am overseas, it becomes difficult to operate. Though it is called digital app for international use.
Desired outcome: I am overseas and little money goes into the account but every 4-6 months they send a threat Peter and close the account. I think it is not a bank ; it is a stuck bank suffering from psychological problem .

I am Dr Fariha Altaf and I have an account in Islamabad, sector I-8. I am currently outside Pakistan and I have submitted all the required documents. The letter requesting for the documents was received 2 days before the mentioned closing date.
I receive only one transaction in my account in the third week of the month. Otherwise, I am not using the account as Alfalah bank is not helping the clients. Rather day by day, problems are increasing.
I hereby request that my account should be opened at the earliest or at least incoming transaction allowed.
I had 4 accounts in Alfalah but due to poor services, I am not operating 3 accounts.
My only operational account is in Islamabad, and that also only to receive one transaction. I am not keeping any money in account as there is no admirable service from Alfalah that I can mention. There are only hurdles all the time and any time of the year. I am still alive and the day I will die , I will request you to close the account. I am not a thief or terrorist. Sadly, I am a national of Pakistan. I have travelled many places in the world and I have never seen such an awful service from any bank anywhere.
Please help in opening of my account which is closed due to CDD. All documents have been submitted but there is no response from the Alfalah bank.

I called up the call center yesterday May 24th, @ 18.05 to get guidelines for making payment which I did on my credit card while my stay in Canada. My request is to kindly listen to the call recording where the guy (don't remember his name) did all his best to press all wrong buttons finally making me really angry. I did say some nasty words, guess served him right as he kept taking me in circles, denying that there was no amount reflected against my credit card. His checky behavior was enough for me to finally tell him off that I will put up his complaint and I hung up.
Later on for almost half an hour he kept calling me from some landline number and I finally picked up his call. Again he kept taking me in circles and I told him to not bother me anymore as I have the call data which I can easily show as being harassed. My issue is that I need the statement to be delivered at my residence whereby I can make a cheque and drop it off in the box, as I have received a SMS stating the amount of payment made by me. Kindly deliver the statement at my registered address and look into how these call center guys are misbehaving with the general public.

I wanted to open individual account and he informed me after consulting Mr. Yasar that sorry we can’t open individual account for you even though I qualified fully. I gave him my NICOP and emailed him my income source and even despite that he told me he couldn’t open individual bank account. He then went on to tell me it must be joint account with your husband if you want to open bank account. I gave him 10 thousand rupees and he said joint account will be open next day but it didn’t. He didn't open the account until months later without my presence or permission. He didnt call me to verify if I was still married to Yasar Khan if I was dead or alive. He conspired with Mr. Yasar Khan who is my ex-husband to commit fraud and drain my account of approximately 1.5crore rupees equivalent to 80 thousand dollars. He prevented me from logging into my account, prevented me from getting my bank statements and conspired with Mr. Yasar Khan to withdraw 1.5 crore leaving only 388 rupees or $1.43. I will be filing police report FIR against your employee. Your employee made sure that I couldn’t get the OTP to log in. He also removed me from getting bank statements through email after the first bank statement. I was kept in dark about the transactions that he assisted Mr Yasar Khan with and likely received a share. He also failed to make sure for any withdrawals my signature must be required. Mr. Ali Munawar who is equally responsible for financial damages I have suffered and I will also be lodging complaint against your emplovee and your bank for fraud and active participation in this crime to vaziraazam portal. Your employee had my email address because I had emailed him my income. He had my phone number. He could have easily contacted me about this. If opening account required both signatures then how come your employee set up the account so Yasar Khan could withdraw money. How come he removed me from receiving OTP in my email and how come I didn’t receive any bank statements. As a women I suffered greatly financially due to unethical behavior as well as fraudulent behavior of your employee. I wasn’t given check book neither a debit card. Mr. Ali Munawar made sure that only Yasar Khan would receive check book and debit card even through he was very well aware that I was the one depositing into the account from overseas. As overseas Pakistani I am extremely disappointed that people of my own country committed fraud against me. I would like resolution of this matter ASAP or else I will get a judgement from US court against your financial institution. I have already notified US embassy in Islamabad about this fraud.

I applied for IGI insurance policy and then I asked your representative that I don't want to continue. She said OK once file comes I'll let you know. When the file came I received it your representative took my signatures and said now your case is confirmed. I said but I asked you ti cancel she said don't do this or else you'll get 22000 out of your original amount 50000 because Grace days have been over. I came to home and mailed IGI insurance that from which day grace days start they said grace days start from the day you receive your file then I came back to bank and asked your representative she said she didn't know about from which day grace days start so I asked her to cancel my policy. She made me write an application in front of her and attach it with my original file and send to the head office within grace days. After that she said I'll get my money in 1.5 to 2 months. I repeatedly asked her about my money but everytime I received the answer negatively that my money is not being approved. I complained in your head offices, IGI insurance office. I talked to lots and lots of representatives but no one responded in a right way. Everyone lingered me on. Now its been 8 months that I didn't get my money. This is none of my business that your manager or any other authority has resigned or not available. I should have been returned my money. I'm just asking how will I get it back and when. Kindly note this non serious and unprofessional behavior of your employees. I hope you'll look forward to my complain and will not disappoint me as your other staff members did!

I book a phone vivo v25 on 24 January by call they ask me they will charge me 109000 rupees with zero percent or sood free i booked the product and they deduct the amount also tell me if u cancel the SBS u will charge 1000 or 1% which one is higher i have to gift to someone on second day they confirmed my adress so on 26 and 27 i call for product delivery they said we will deliver u after 20 days and u also had to pay the bill

Dear Bank,
I faced an issue of TDR encashment, i booked a TDR (amounting 107000 rupees) in April 2022 for a year and due to some personal need I applied for premature encashment on 3rd January 2023. But till now i did not receive my principal amount back in my RDA account. Though i raised many complaints and many time your people spoke with me but nothing has been done for the solution of my problem. Please do the needful as it is almost a month without any update from your side.
