I purchased a black La-Z-Boy Big & Tall Trafford Executive Office Chair order #BBB3866507815 on 12/19/2019 from Bed Bath & Beyond. I received the chair just before Christmas. Took approx. 2 hours to put the chair together. I found the chair, which came with required back support to be uncomfortable since the support was not in the right location based on how I sat. However, since I purchased it I was prepared to "live with it". There was a slight tear in the left arm pad. There was a form from True Innovations which stated I should contact them about any problems with the chair, I could not contact them until after Christmas since they were closed for the holiday. The following Monday I contacted them giving the order number and color. I was then instructed, based on the chair color to call BBB.`I called BBB about the tear assuming I would get an arm replacement. Instead, I was informed I had to return the entire chair, either for replacement or refund. Since I wasn't satisfied with the chair, I elected a refund. The woman informed me the chair would be picked up by Fedex ground. I asked about having to dismember the chair and using the box I still had. She said it was not necessary and Fedex would take it "as is". She then emailed me the Fedex tracking form with the number [protected]. She gave me the Fedex phone number to set up the return. On 12/30 the Fedex guy came to pick up the chair, Initially, he was hesitant since it was all together. I told him that was instructions given me. I saw him going back to his truck and using his cell phone, apparently to contact his superiors. He then came back to the house and took the chair. The chair was to be delivered to BBB at Prendergrass, GA. I tracked the chair from my house to Fedex locations North Wales, PA, Hagerstown. MD and Braselton, GA. I called BBB in Prendergrass, GA to find out when I would get credit for the reurn of the chair. I spoke to a "Brian" who said it would have to check out the chair return before he could give me any more info. H e gave me a reference number 220105-[protected]. He never got back to me. I subsequently made additional calls to BBB and was told until they get the chair back, I would not get an adjustment. They suggested I call Fedex which could not give me any additional info. Since I used costco citi card to purchase the chair I contacted them. I sent the same explanation I am sending you, to them. They agreed to investigate and credited the charge. I just received a letter from citi that the merchant would not honor their request and they considered this investigation complete. My account is being rebilled for $541.19. I called them and was advised that they had previously sent 6 notices and were unable to obtain compensation from the merchant. They suggested I contact you
