Poshmark - Disgusting unprofessional behavior

It has been awhile since I posted anything for sale on Poshmark so some of the verification process has changed. I was trying to verify my bank information to get paid and was told they didn’t accept credit card balances under $300.00 because it could be a fraudulent account. Since I only have one credit card I asked what else I could do to get paid. The...

Poshmark Knock- off Alexis Bittar - very disappointing!

There is a woman selling knock - off Alexis Bittar jewelry on Poshmark - her username is "luckyinlove." Do not do business with this woman... She even admitted it herself that it was not authentic. She wrote me a comment. Then blocked me. Poshmark will not do anything because she is making tons of money for the website. It's made in China and mass produced... She is able to sell thousands of pieces...

Poshmark A Personal Take on Poshmark.com

As someone who values transparency and fairness in online shopping, my experience with Poshmark.com left much to be desired. The platform's lack of accountability was evident when I purchased a product that turned out to be misrepresented. Despite reaching out to the seller and customer support, I faced hurdles in seeking a resolution. The overall customer service was disappointing, and the platform seemed more focused on profit than customer satisfaction. It's crucial for buyers to exercise caution and manage their expectations when engaging with Poshmark.com.

Poshmark I'm a happy posher I am a seller and a buyer

I'm very sad to see so many bad reviews. I also find some reviews to be false. People stating they bought merchandise they never received. That would almost be impossible period because once you receive your order you have to accept it on pause for us to receive our payment. It has to be marked delivered by the post office so I do believe that those posts or people trying to sway others from not shopping on Poshmark. I have had many many great reviews I've only had one person who disputed a purchase from me and it was because she didn't agree with the color blue I listed as teal or seafoam green and she said it wasn't blue. Poshmark cited with me and gave me my $9.50. I have found that most who sell on Poshmark are very honest and good people. I've also heard horror stories of people who have bought something decided they didn't want it and would damage the merchandise to make a claim and send it back to the person who sold it to them damaged when they sold it to them in good condition. This is a place where you have to really read the reviews before you buy something and you yourself should be an honest person and understand it is a no return policy and if you don't like it yourself resell it on Poshmark period but shame on you people for telling lies that you didn't receive something but you lost your money I just don't see how in the world that could happen. Everyone come and shop at Poshmark you'll have a great experience just be wise ask for more pictures if you need to and always read the person's reviews that they receive

Poshmark Failure to stand by product description/self dealing

"Agresale" (Alexa Moiso) of Oregon advertised a pair of shoes saying:
In good condition. Does have wear in interior from use as shown in pictures. A few creases near front toes. Material is patent leather. Heel height is approx. 3". I personally think these run slightly small and would fit best for a size 9."

$40 plus $6.49 shipping (which they asked - you can make offers which I didn't realize) I paid and upon arrival they fit like a true 9.5! I'm a 9 so I contacted seller and seller said:

I'm sorry they didn't work for you! I'm an 8.5 and thought they ran slightly small for a 9.5. I am unsure of what to do for you as there are no returns unless there is a flaw with the item.~agresale
***@maureensharib maybe you can email poshmark and see what you can do? You can always resell them yourself as well.

I did as suggested and here's poshmark's response:
Have reviewed the case you submitted for order "j. Crew valentina patent d'orsay pumps". Unfortunately, this case does not qualify for a return because:
- unfortunately, this does not qualify for an item not as described return per our guidelines
- sizing can vary by fit and was not misstated by the seller
- moving forward, we highly encourage prospective buyers to ask as many questions as possible before making a purchase, including exact measurements, materials, etc
- Item can be re- listed and sold in closet

When I tried to contact the seller again the seller had blocked me.

I'm NOT a poshmark seller - will not be a poshmark buyer again in the future and encourage you not to be a poshmark buyer in the future based on this case of bait and switch and self-dealing on poshmark's part.

Poshmark Great Experiences & 1 Snafu

I joined Poshmark to help thin out my closet(s) and make a little money in the process. I have good experiences and after reading all the negative comments thought I would share. I've listed about 30 items, and sold about 7 making a little over $100 dollars. Everything I sell I bought through reputable retailers like Macys, Nordstrom Rack, Outlet Malls, Zulliy. I realize I am not going to make my money back even on items new with tags (NWT) and that buyers are paying shipping, so I take that into consideration when pricing. But I also know what I could reasonably expect as a tax deduction if I were to donate the item, and am not willing to go lower than that. I am also not desperate to sell and would rather re gift NWT items to friends rather then basically give them away. As for those that experienced scammers - what I have learned is to provide more info in my descriptions of items I sell, like we are a non-smoking home. If those details are important to you or you are allergic to animals - ASK! One of the beauties of the app is to ask the seller as many questions as you want in the comments section. Comments are not able to be deleted, so you can see what others have asked or if they have negotiated with the buyer for a lower price. You can also see if the seller ignores anything, is rude, or puts off some other red flag that leads you to not deal with them. The one snafu I had was I got an email saying my password had been updated, when I didn't do it. I responded to the email and they quickly locked my account and allowed me to reset my password after proving my identity. Scary to be hacked, but it was taken care of quickly and I didn't lose any money from my account.

Poshmark What you should know

This is a great place to both buy and sell if you as the buyer and the seller take a proactive approach...

For buyers. Review all photos well. If you have a question ask it. Don't be afraid to ask gor more photos... or to ask questions about an item you wish to purchase...

Take a look at the persons stats that you are purchasing from. How fast they ship. If they cancel orders often. Or if they have a low star rating... Make an informed decision about who you buy from... This will save you a lot of stress...

If you sell... read all of the rules. And know that posh charges buyers over $6 for 2 day shipping. Be aware of that and respectful of shipping in a short amount of time. Or risk a low star rating... that $6+ is what the post office charges for fast shipping. Posh is not making money on that end. So respect your buyers and ship in a timely manner.

Also know that as one who sells on Poshmark. You agree to either a $3 + Posh commission on items under $15 or 20% for items over...

Buyers... try not to low ball... if you offer $5 for an item. Know that that person will only be paid less than $2 of that...

There is no reason to remark on an item you feel is to expensive... In fact. A fellow Posher can file a complaint against you for harassment... On the other end. Do not respond to someone who does this. Block them... be professional to be successful...

Poshmark is an amazing place to both buy and sell as long as you are proactive as a posher... I learned this the hardway... I hope that this will assist others in an easier route...

As far as luxury goods go. You can ask that the seller send them to be Authenticated when purchased. The seller pays for this... and you are not charged until the item is proven to be authentic...

Most of the bad reviews you read about can be avoided if you take on the responsibility of being a proactive posher... Happy Poshing! I hope this helps...

Poshmark Great app for selling clothing!

I love Poshmark! I have been selling on it for about a year now. Sales depend on many factors. You need to share your items if you want them to be viewed/purchased. It can be a bit of a hassle if you have a busy life AND want to sell some things, but if you follow and follow people, (and receive many follows & shares in return) you will not have a problem getting views on your items. It can take a bit to get there but its worth it once you get sales. I do wish they would make it easier to share items instead of doing so one by one! As for customer service, I've never had an issue. But I am in lots of FB groups for Posh, and have seen many people with issues (like people trying to scam them) but once they email posh support, it gets fixed fast and they get their funds back. They also just added a Kids & Men section, so you can now sell kids clothing and men's clothing. The only real complaint I have about it is they take 20% off each item you sell. Which is a bit high depending on the items. The shipping rate IS high, however when you make bundle purchases (purchases of 2 or more items) it makes it worth it especially with bundle discounts!

What a lot of reviewers here don't seem to understand, is that Poshmark is one big marketplace with tons of mini shops from different people. Before making a purchase, it's recommended that you look at their "love notes" (reviews). Ask questions about the items to the seller before purchasing. If one seller doesn't provide you with an order that you wanted, it's not Poshmark's fault, it's the seller's fault. If your order is taking long to ship, comment/ask the seller why it's taking so long, not posh! The majority of these reviews are people who bought 1 thing without even thinking about asking details, had an issue, and are here to blame Posh (not the seller) for what happened instead of attempting to fix the problem with the seller, or finding a seller with tons of great love notes and buying from them instead.

Poshmark Great Experience As Seller

Tips at bottom! As a seller, I have had a great experience so far. I put a bunch of stuff that I never wear on there and people purchased it. Pretty quickly too I was shocked. I've never purchased anything so I can't tell you about that. I just requested my first check so we will see how that goes.
Tips I would have-
1: you're really really old stuff isn't going to sell on here. I would say 5 years old max! Also, everything should be in relatively good quality and brands people want. Your kohl's wear isn't going to sell well here. You didn't pay a lot for it to begin with. How much do you really think you can resell it for? Sell seasonally. Summer- your sweaters aren't going to sell. People aren't looking to buy sweaters in June. Sorry.
2: the bad accounts are pretty easy to spot. Look for real pictures, not ads/models. How good are the pictures? If they can't take a good picture of whatever their selling, I personally wouldn't trust them. It's not that hard to take a picture. Let's be honest. Ask them question. Do they respond in a timely fashion, with a clear response? If not, red flag. Is the item actually on sale? If you're paying retail on this app, you're doing it wrong.
3- sellers. Search your item on the app before you list it. Get a realistic idea of what items like yours are listed at. It's an app for selling stuff in your closet, have realistic pricing or your crap won't sell (you don't wear it anymore for a reason).
4- share your listings frequently! Share at parties, there are three a day at the same times. I log on to see if my things match the description and share at those three times. Also, I follow everyone that follows me and do share for a share. This gets your listings out there to more users.
5- drop prices if things aren't selling. Self-explanatory. It's stuff that you're not wearing right? It's only losing money in your closet.
6- take pictures on natural sunlight, wear the item of it still fits you, add a detailed description. Pick the VERY best picture or picture that displays the best detail of your item as your cover shoot.
7- all the people complaining they got a fake whatever or it wasn't exactly as described- you bought something off of a phone app from someone you've never met, are you really super surprised? Poshmark does protect you from these scinarios, but I wouldn't buy something really expensive from here. If you have enough money to drop a couple hundo just go bye the real thing.
Ok that's it! Happy poshing! LMARSH564

Poshmark BELOW REVIEWS ARE BIASED AND UNFAIR, THIS APP IS A GAMECHANGER

First and foremost, Poshmark never promised to be like eBay. Allow me to quote Poshmark directly, as no one can say it better than them;
"Poshmark is the leading fashion destination where women come together to buy and sell clothing and accessories from each other's closets."
That being said, sellers who are on here trying to open boutiques, complaining about "low ballers" and "[censored]s" who try to trade; That's basically the point of the app. It's not to start your boutique and make a bunch of money off of. It's for women and young ladies to sell their items at up to 70% or TRADE (which for a girl like me who is stern about not repeating outfits, this is AWESOME) or PURCHASE ITEMS FOR UP TO 70% OFF. If you're on here trying to sell your $#*! at full or above value (yes, people try to do that), nobody is going to buy it unless it's nowhere else on the internet and they really want it. Poshmark encourages buyers to barter and make offers and bundle items for discounts, the point is for the seller to barter back. Not get pissed at "low ballers." Don't look at it as a shop where prices are firm, look at it as an online flea market where prices are negotiable.

Poshmark has changed the game for people like me, with a caviare taste for fashion on a BK budget. It's also cool because people who get things like Love and Lemons at wholesale pricing will allow you to pre-purchase at lower cost than retail (don't expect wholesale pricing, they need to make money too). Before Posh, I would have never bought Urban Outfitters or LF or American Apparel or anything at those higher price points. The beauty of posh is that people sell Urban and LF and AA at Forever 21 prices, so it's much easier to afford these types of products!

As ever, ask questions before you purchase. Read the seller reviews. Do a little research if you're uncertain. And make sure your product is authentic.

The reviews about Posh not having good buyer/seller protection is absolute BS as well because as long as you follow the guidelines, any problem can be solved. Whether you receive the wrong item, don't receive it at all, don't get accepted. Anything. As long as you use what they provide you, you'll be fine. It's when you try to cut corners that you can screw yourself over.

The one negative I do agree with is how much of a cut they take for your sales. But, if you don't want to take the loss, offer Paypal or Mercari or Venmo options. Just know that you are going against their guidelines when you do that, and you lose the excellent protection they offer for both buyers and sellers.

I check poshmark every single day and purchase every other.

Poshmark Poshmark is amazing!

I saw a denim black Levis skirt in a video and had to have it! So I googled the item which led me to Poshmark! I purchased the item and although used was in great condition at a fair price. The item was shipped in a timely fashion and I'm very happy with it. So I created a profile on poshmark and I'm addicted! You can find vintage stuff that would be hard to find anywhere else. Now I see a lot of complaints on this page because people love to whine and complain without seeking solutions or being smart buyers. Before I purchase anything I make sure to ask buyer to be honest and post pictures of flaws and I do the same. But not all people are nice and honest and that is not the companies fault. Are you taking a risk when buying online? Sure you are so be smart! Be careful with high priced brands such ad Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors.Do your research about how to know if an item is authentic. For instance with Louis Vuitton bags there is a tag inside with a code. When I sold my Louis Vuitton I made sure to show code tag and numerous pictures of the inside and outside of the bag. I also included the flaws. I got an offer sold the item. When I sell I send a thank you note with it wrapped. Its a good chance my customer will buy from me again because I have practiced proper etiquette. And it gives me good ratings in my stats. I make sure to display my product listing in good lighting with an attractive background. Also I displayed a tote bag with items alongside so the person can see how much fits in a bag. Its fun to network and make friends and to sell. I am planning on going to school for merchandising and fashion design and I believe this is a great tool to help me keep up with fashion trends. Though it is fun to find vintage stuff as well. I have created a closet with about 50 items to start including clothes jewelry and handbags. But someone posted on here about being upset when they purchased a 600$ watch which turned out to be fake. Honestly I would NEVER buy an expensive name brand item online like that. I would go directly to retailer. I purchase low price fun vintage items. Someone complained about poshmark wanting too much personal information. Well I think that is needed to protect them and the consumer! If you don't want to give them personal information then don't go on the website duh! If you research authenticity and Poshmark rules and regs you can have a lot of fun! And if someone is messaging you catty texts then just block them! I haven't had any issues yet but life us life. Nothing is perfect. If you got burned by shopping online its probably your fault because you were too trusting or didn't get enough information about the product. I mean once you purchase it it might be difficult to return it. Its just a risk you take. I love poshmark and will continue to list and buy!

Poshmark Poshmark Review: A Dishonest Business That Should Be Avoided

Poshmark is a website that I would not recommend to anyone. I recently had a terrible experience with them and had to report them to the Better Business Bureau. It's strange that they have so many positive reviews on BBB, but almost 750 customer complaints and disputes. With these stats, you would think they would try to improve their reputation, but it seems like they don't care.

As someone who doesn't usually leave negative reviews, I tried to resolve my issue with customer service and the seller, but I had no luck. I even recommended Poshmark to many people before this incident, but I am now retracting that recommendation.

Poshmark worked with the seller to scam me into paying for a damaged dress that was not disclosed in the listing. I believe in supporting businesses, but Poshmark has proven time and time again that they are not an honest business. I highly recommend staying away from them.

I was a seller on Poshmark and had a great reputation, so this review is not taken lightly. I purchased a dress from a shop called @anasboutique, thinking it was in good condition, but it arrived with a big hole under the right arm. I went back to the listing to make sure I didn't miss anything, but the issue was not listed. I informed Poshmark and the seller, but the seller refused to work with me.

Poshmark does not offer partial refunds, even though they allow items to be sold in bundles. They offered me $5 in posh credit for a dress I paid $15 plus $6.95 shipping for. This is offensive and makes no sense. I tried to work with the buyer, but she refused. Poshmark charged my card and released payment to the seller who sold me an undisclosed damaged item. I did not want $5 in posh credits; I wanted my money back.

This is not the first negative experience I've had with Poshmark. I tried to delete my account, but they emailed me asking me to try them again and offered $25 in credits. I should have refused and deleted my account. I was a seller for a while, but the fees were too high, so I stopped selling and only used it to buy things once in a while. However, I couldn't justify paying nearly $7 in shipping three separate times for liking three things from three different closets. So, I stopped using Poshmark altogether.

I will be losing out on this purchase unless the BBB can get my money back. I am also going to dispute this charge with my credit union. I am being screwed over as a buyer who is supposed to be protected. I will be closing my account and never looking back or recommending Poshmark again. I brought a lot of people to the app, but I will be warning them of the issue and telling them to take their business elsewhere.

Poshmark Buyer Beware: My Negative Experience with Poshmark Sellers

Poshmark is a website that sells a variety of items, from used clothing to electronics. However, I have had some bad experiences with the sellers on this site. I have been scammed multiple times by sellers who sell unauthentic products, such as fake Coach bags. Poshmark only gives you three days to see if the product is authentic, which is not enough time for someone who doesn't have access to a Coach store in their town.

I also had an issue with a damaged item that I ordered for my daughter. The seller accused us of damaging the item and threatened to sue us. Poshmark did eventually provide a shipping label for us to return the item, but it was a hassle to print it out and arrange for a pick-up from USPS.

Another issue I had was with a zebra print purse that my daughter wanted. The picture looked like it was in good shape, but when we received it, the white had yellowed with wear and sunlight. Poshmark only offered me $15 of Posh credit to purchase something else, but I wanted my entire money back. They refused to refund me the $4.95 S&H fee and also refused to send me a return shipping label to send back the purse.

The sellers on Poshmark are also rude and unprofessional. They don't respond to messages for weeks, and some even curse at you and block you if you ask for more information about a product. One seller even posted unopened packages of Always Maxi-liners for sale, which was shocking to me.

Overall, I would not recommend Poshmark to anyone. The sellers are rude, unprofessional, and try to scam you. The return process is also a hassle, and Poshmark doesn't always provide a fair resolution to issues. Buyer beware and run!

Poshmark Disappointing Experience with Poshmark: Misleading Product Description and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with Poshmark that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I purchased a pair of pants that were advertised as having a wide elastic banded waistband, which is why I decided to buy them. However, when I received the pants, I noticed that the waistband was not as described. It was a thin, loose piece of elastic only at the very top of the pants, rather than the inch or more thick strong elastic band that was supposed to go down through the middle of the waistband. This made the pants loose and unable to hold anything in, which was not what I was looking for.

I tried to communicate with the seller through the comment section, but I was not allowed to post anything without attaching a picture. This was frustrating because the seller was able to post whatever she wanted without any restrictions. I also noticed that the pants were sewn differently than the ones I had previously purchased from the same brand. The seam of my pants was at the top, hidden, while the seam of the pants I received was right along the tiny stretched elastic at the top of the pants.

I reached out to Poshmark to request a refund and was asked to provide photos of the tags, text, stamps, and logos on the item purchased, as well as the item used to compare in natural outdoor lighting. I complied with this request, but I was still not allowed to comment on my case without a picture. This made it difficult for me to communicate with Poshmark and the seller, and I felt like my concerns were not being taken seriously.

Eventually, the seller agreed to refund me, but the case remained open. I was confused as to why this was the case, and I felt like my experience was not being handled properly. I also noticed that the seller had sold the pants for a much lower price than they were originally worth, which made me suspicious of her motives.

In the end, Poshmark reviewed my case and determined that it did not qualify for a return. I was disappointed with this outcome, as I felt like my concerns were not being heard. Overall, my experience with Poshmark was frustrating and left me feeling like I had wasted my time and money. I hope that in the future, Poshmark will improve its customer service and communication with its users.

Poshmark Poshmark Needs to Hold Sellers Accountable for Inaccurate Listings and Flaws in Items

Poshmark is a website that needs to step up their game. There are too many sellers who don't bother to give basic information about their items. They only upload one poorly lit picture that doesn't show anything about the item. I've been burned a few times because I didn't ask if the item came from a smoking environment or if it had any damage. My first order reeked of Fabreeze and cigarettes, and it had two stains on it. Luckily, the seller agreed to take it back, but it was strange that she didn't even realize there were stains on it. The stains were in plain sight, so I don't understand how she didn't see them.

Another time, I bought a hoodie that had stitching on both sides of the kangaroo pocket that had come undone. I gave the seller a poor rating, but I didn't want to go through the trouble of demanding a refund because I could easily stitch it myself. I was just annoyed that they didn't mention it because I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

After that experience, I started asking more questions about items. Some sellers got annoyed when I asked questions, but I didn't care because I had been burned more than once. I developed a questionnaire that I posted to listings I was interested in. I asked if it was from a smoke-free environment, if there were any flaws like stains, spots, or snags, if the zipper worked, and for measurements of the bust, sleeve, and waist. Depending on the item, I would ask all these questions. Some sellers would admit to flaws after I asked, which was frustrating because they should have included that information in the listing.

Sometimes sellers would give me measurements that showed the item was washed and shrunk or defectively constructed. Even though I know how certain brands fit, I can't say for sure how the owner cared for it, so I had to ask about sleeve length and bust, etc. because those things can change drastically if an item is incorrectly laundered. Some sellers would say they couldn't give me measurements and still expect me to buy the item.

I shouldn't have to ask if the interior of a handbag is stained or damaged. I should not have to ask if the handles are peeling or if the zipper works or if the zipper pull tab is missing. Pre-owned does not necessarily mean that there's anything wrong with it. If there was something wrong with it, it would be ethical to photograph those flaws and not just pretend that the bag is simply pre-owned and not mentioning any obvious wear and tear.

Poshmark does not hold sellers accountable for leaving out major flaws in item listings. Every time a major flaw is left out of an item listing and Poshmark has to generate a return, they should penalize the seller. After they have a certain number of repeat offenses, their account should be suspended until they learn to accurately list their closet items. If that's too much work for a seller, then they shouldn't be selling on Poshmark. Nobody wants to buy an item and have it be less than what the pictures and the listing show, and then blame the buyer for not asking. That's not fair or ethical.

Until sellers realize that they're being rated on how often their listings are inaccurate, they will continue to bamboozle their buyers. Likewise, with scamming buyers, Poshmark needs to initiate a program that keeps track of how often a buyer opens a case and look at each of those cases to see if there's a pattern in those instances and ban or suspend these buyers.

Sellers should be held to a higher standard of integrity so that buyers won't be able to complain that their items were not as described. Buyers would not be able to get away with lying about the condition of an item if Poshmark took more time to rate their buyers and sellers alike.

I've learned to be cautious as a buyer. I've had a few terrible items that I was able to return, and I bought some amazing stuff on Poshmark that I love. But every time I ship, I get nervous that I'm going to come across a scammer, and Poshmark is not going to do anything to protect me. It seems like there are hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints of Poshmark allowing scammers, both buyers and sellers, to get away with murder. And it seems they don't care to improve how they monitor for fraudulent transactions. They're making millions, and they're not willing to invest in their customer service.

Poshmark Poshmark Review: Fees, Fakes, and Unfair Ratings - What You Need to Know

Poshmark is a popular online marketplace where you can buy and sell clothing, accessories, and beauty products. However, there are a few things you should know before using this platform.

Firstly, let's talk about fees. As a seller, you will be charged a flat rate fee of $2.95 for anything under $15. For items over $15, Poshmark will take a 20% commission. The buyer pays for shipping, which is always $7.45. This can make your items look overpriced, especially if they are lightweight and small. You can discount the shipping or make it free, but Poshmark will deduct that money from your earnings. Additionally, you need to consider packaging costs. While you can use USPS priority mail boxes for free, if the item you're sending doesn't fit in the available packages, you'll need to buy your own. This can add up, so be sure to factor it into your pricing.

When it comes to the merchandise being sold on Poshmark, there are many "fakes" on the platform. While Poshmark claims to verify the authenticity of items over $500, this doesn't help if you're looking for a deal on a lower-priced item. It's important to be cautious and do your research before making a purchase.

Another issue with Poshmark is the unfair ratings and reviews by buyers. Poshmark will not help you with this, and buyers can rate you based on anything they choose. Even if you clearly describe an item and include photos of any defects, a buyer can still give you a low rating. This can be frustrating and affect your ability to sell on the platform.

Finally, there have been instances of copyright infringement on Poshmark. If someone uses your photos without permission, you can reach out to Poshmark's copyright department, but it may take some time to get a response. It's important to protect your intellectual property and report any violations.

In my personal experience with Poshmark, I had a buyer rate me poorly for an item that I had clearly described as best for narrow feet and recommended sizing up. The buyer did not try to return the item but still gave me a low rating. It was frustrating to feel like I had done everything right but still received a bad rating. Poshmark's policy of freezing listings after a purchase can also be frustrating, especially if a buyer claims you didn't include something in the description or photos.

Overall, Poshmark can be a great platform for buying and selling clothing and accessories, but it's important to be aware of the fees, potential for fake items, and issues with ratings and reviews. Be sure to protect your intellectual property and do your research before making a purchase.

Poshmark Poshmark Review: High Shipping Fees, Greedy Fees, and Terrible Customer Service

I've been using Poshmark for about four years now, but I have mixed feelings about the platform. One thing that bothers me is the high shipping fees. For example, I once wanted to buy a small lip gloss, but the only shipping option available was a whopping $7. It's frustrating when the priority mail takes just as long as the standard first class.

As a seller, I also don't like the fact that Poshmark takes 20% per transaction. It's a lot of work to write listings and sell online, so I think that's a bit greedy. Mercari takes a smaller percentage, so I prefer to use that platform instead.

Overall, I don't use Poshmark very often because of these issues. I don't like to sell or buy on there unless it's absolutely necessary.

Recently, I had a terrible experience with Poshmark that has made me swear off the platform for good. I purchased a ring for almost $200, and it arrived late. When I finally tried it on, the main stone fell out after less than two hours of wear. Unfortunately, it was past the three-day window that Poshmark allows for returns, so I was stuck with a damaged item.

I contacted Poshmark and the seller, but neither would help me. Poshmark claimed that I damaged the ring, even though I had only worn it for a short time. The seller refused to take back the damaged merchandise. I was stuck in a difficult position.

After many frustrating emails with Poshmark, I finally got PayPal involved. Poshmark still tried to dodge the situation, but PayPal eventually helped me get my money back. However, I'm still fighting to get my Poshmark balance back, which they are withholding from me even though they already took their 20% selling fee.

Overall, I would not recommend using Poshmark. They don't protect buyers, and their customer service is terrible. I wouldn't want to sell my creations on there, and I wouldn't want anyone who shops from me to feel unsafe or uncomfortable like I did.

Poshmark Poshmark Review: Tips for Safe and Successful Shopping on the Site

Poshmark is a site that I was hesitant to try at first, since I'm not really into buying clothes online unless it's through Amazon or Ebay. But I decided to give it a shot and share my thoughts with others who might be in the same boat. Overall, I think Poshmark is a great site if you use it wisely and take some precautions.

I don't sell on Poshmark because I find it difficult to do on a phone app. I'm hoping they'll make it available on a computer soon. However, I do a lot of buying on the site and have learned a few things along the way.

Mostly, the people on Poshmark are great. Of course, there are some scammers and idiots, but they're in the minority. I'm careful about the sellers I buy from, and I don't use the site for exclusive high-end items, so I can't speak to the authenticity issue. But out of 25+ purchases, I've only had a case where the seller disappeared on me and a few not-as-described issues.

The downside is that if a seller doesn't send an item, there's no way to make them, just like on Ebay. I once won a no-reserve auction on Ebay, and the seller didn't ship because she didn't like the amount of the winning bid. She became insulting, then non-responsive, and sold the item to someone else. Ebay found in my favor on the report I filed, but they couldn't force the seller to abide by the contract. All I could do was leave negative feedback. The same goes for Poshmark in a way, in that you can't make sellers ship.

On the plus side, when a seller lied about shipping an item and it never showed, I was allowed to cancel the order in 7 days with an automatic refund that showed up in my bank account within a day or so. At 21 days, Poshmark automatically cancels the order and refunds the money if the order never shows as shipped. This has only happened to me once out of 25 purchases over 4 months, and the refund showed up in my bank account in a couple of days.

From my experience, you'll have a good experience with Poshmark if you're careful about who you trust, just like in life. When you're browsing, do your homework. This may all sound like a lot, but it's mostly common sense. Here are some tips:

1) Check a few of the other items showing SOLD by the seller to check comments. If there are any complaints or people trying to track down missing shipments, avoid. If you see happy thankful responses or quick resolutions, or at least no negatives, go for it.

2) Check under a few item listings in their closet to see when it says last updated. If it was relatively recent, then you know they are active in their closet. Check comments to see if they respond quickly and are willing to answer questions.

3) ALWAYS have some kind of contact with the seller before buying. If you click Buy Now on an item, and they aren't checking their account or selling anymore, you will get the money back but it's a pain to wait and be disappointed. Sometimes just asking if an item is still available if there are not recent comments on it will help you know if the seller is around.

4) Don't be afraid to ask questions. Some sellers don't answer or don't like it, in which case, move on. That's their right, but for me, it's a deal breaker. You'll know a dependable seller who is active in their "closet" when they are patient about questions and provide a basic level of polite customer service. And when you see lots of other happy (and recent) comments on their item listings.

5) Use @username format when posting comments/questions. They still get it if you don't but it shows up in their feed if you use [protected]@ so they often see it faster.

6) Know what measurements you want so you can compare them to your own favorite clothes. I ask for shoulder to shoulder across the back, armpit to armpit, waist, hips, length shoulder to hem, etc. depending on the item. Oh, and material content. And stretchiness! And color if it looks different in different pics due to lighting. I'll often ask which color is most true to the item. Be aware that most display forms DON'T have normal proportions, so don't rely on pictures alone for proportions or fit.

7) Do look at quality of pictures. They don't have to be professional, but does the item look well cared for, is it displayed nicely, show all angles, shows label if necessary. And make sure there are at least SOME pics of the actual item, not only stock photos!

8) I don't recommend trading. If that seller I mentioned earlier had traded with me, I would have been out whatever item I shipped her and never received anything back with no recourse. As it was, my money was refunded quickly, since it was covered by their guarantee.

9) Look at basic grammar and communication. Just like you would in a store, does the seller "speak" at least relatively well, communicate clearly, present themselves professionally, treat people politely? There's a basic level I look for in an interaction in which I'm giving up hard-earned cash.

10) Be aware that even when you ask for measurements or opinions or conditions of item, etc., not everyone sees things the same way or measures exactly the same. I've had a few cases where the measurements were a bit off, making the item unwearable, but like always, buyer beware. As long as I negotiate really good deals, I just view the few items that don't work as part of the cost of the items that do!

Most of my purchases have been positive by taking these few precautions. This way you can separate the teenage flakes and the inevitable scammers from the honest, fun people just trying to buy and sell fashion. Some of them are really passionate about fashion and/or trying to run side businesses. Find those sellers! Plus, I've had some really nice interactions with some really great sellers, most of whom shipped within a day or so. I have bought some things that just don't fit even after all this, but that's no one's fault, just the risk we take when we buy without being able to try on. I have had great experiences and some killer deals on Poshmark, and a few negative experiences, but hey, there are idiots everywhere!

I hope this helps someone out there. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to pass on what I've learned. Thanks!

Poshmark Unleashing the Power of Creativity: A Review of 'The War of Art' by Steven Pressfield

If I could give no stars I would. Poshmark has no protection for sellers and terrible customer service relations, for buyers and sellers alike. - One of the ironies is the how they are making tons of money off our hard work, yet... they aren't doing a thing to protect us. Is there not incentive there, or have they myopically missed that? As a buyer, I have received many damaged items, not as described, and they can take weeks to arrive. Also, many items are old, used and smell terrible. It's not a fun way to shop. The amount of times I had good experiences were rare and didn't outweigh the bad.
Therefore, as a seller, I work literally as hard as I can and always give quite the opposite service, even more than a name brand store (truly!), as I want to honestly give the best, most refreshing experience for people as possible. I work hard to always give: 100% brand new items, extensive & accurate measurements in multiple dimensions, sizing charts, clear and accurate, color-adjusted photos, descriptions for every item, shipping always in 1 day, perfectly and lovingly packaged items, according to industry standards, professionally designed flyers, responses to inquiries within minutes to no more than an hour, always polite responses even if folks are very rude (this is just enough), and usually sell the brand new! Items for 40-60% off. I also ask the buyers to ask questions, check their size, and use the size charts before ordering. And, I have a Terms of Use Agreement. Now, guess what! Haha. Still, still, still! Some buyers make orders by mistake or order the wrong size, and then claim we weren't accurate! I do truly understand we all make mistakes and that's ok! Also, I want to make it clear here, I'm not upset about legitimate reviews, or when someone doesn't know which size to choose. That's totally fine! It's part of shopping to try different sizes. - That's why we offer refunds with the return shipping costs included all at our expense: D (We just send cash back to the address, as that's our only viable option now). We gladly tell all of this to customers so they can shop with confidence and peace of mind. It just makes sense! Ahh, ok, - Instead, what I'm taking about here is quite important to know and be warned about! The issues I'm presenting have happened just too many times to too many people with no recourse or proper care from PM.
I'm first warning about when buyers order something by their mistake (either because they didn't read the listing or size chart, or they changed their mind), and the only way they think they can get an official return is to inaccurately claim the item was, 'not as described' (it's the only section on the review form that will most justifiably allow for a negative score). In reality, they really just want to be invective. What's quite terrible, is this scheme unfortunately works EVERY time because PM does nothing, literally nothing about this (See below)! What? Oh my goodness. These reviews really hurt our sales! They change real people's lives, ok! I'm using this money to pay my health insurance. These incorrect and invective grades are truly unfair, damaging and only exist simply because after receiving the item, the buyer was (1) not willing to spend a half minute to check back on the listing to see it did match, before going forth and unnecessarily slandering us with a negative review, (2) don't want to admit they were wrong, and/or MOST IMPORTANTLY, (3) are AFRAID they will loose the item/ not officially get their money back... because PM doesn't officially offer returns if the item matches the description (which for us, it always does), so, of course they try to be inaccurate and/ or lie and say it doesn't match: D. Many buyers are afraid of the return outside PM. I can understand this precaution here, so, I believe, it's really incumbent on PM to allow for approved returns by the seller to avoid some of these potential loophole scams.
Therefore, as I said, unfortunately, PM not offering returns creates huge issues like this and more! Secondly, here's another common example to beware of: Sometimes, upon receiving an item, the customer damages the item, then subsequently claims it arrived that way because PM oftentimes approves the refund for the buyer and punishes the seller by retaining the review. Nice! I'm not giving out new ideas here. These happen all the time and appear in many reviews. It's not fun when it happens to you. Just you wait! And, it's one thing to have these issues, but then it's another to be aware of them and to do nothing at all, even after so many people have repeatedly asked for rational changes, (like asking for fixing illegitimate/ predatory reviews, in spite of contradicting evidence, adding reviews of customers as well, changing the review process/ qualifications, etc.; See below). Like I said, the lack of returns causes many implications. I really can't continue to work this hard to slavishly suffer to give the buyer everything possible and to pay for PM, only to later suffer at the buyer's hand for their own mistakes and/or sabotage they blame on us, and then be slammed even more with no logical recourse whatsoever. This is an absurd system.
So you may be wondering, what exactly happens when contacting PM? Haha. This is where it gets really fun. When reaching out to PM to resolve these types of predatory or clearly inaccurate reviews, or issues (any seemingly resolvable issue that unfairly impacts sales), what does PM do? PM rarely replies! Haha. And, if they do, then it's almost always with an auto-generated response. This is the extent to what they have sent me: 'Reviews make it fair for everyone so buyers know if they can trust sellers! Reviews reflect shopper's experiences, and how well you served them,' and, 'The reviews give a way to fairly compare sellers to other sellers." haha. No, it's not fair at all. If you wanted it to be fair, you'd take out the inaccurate and predatory reviews. Haha. That's my whole point (and many other's after reading the same problems). And, honestly, just to note here, I'm not being hyperbolic, besides the amount of items offered, I'd truly like to see if J. Crew even offers the same service we do. Really! I'm serious. Shipping in just 1 day, 40-60% off beautiful, high-quality, brand new items, measurements in all directions, not just a standard grading chart, and the same quality, beautiful professional photographs, which we do have permission to use!, unlike 90% of people on PM. - Also, do you think it's hard to compete with those stolen photographs? Do you think PM will do anything to stop the plagiarism? Just consider, how much money do you think they are making off them, and are they liable?: D That's a good one to think about; Seriously! - And, yet, we are marked down only because of spiteful, dishonest buyers who want $20 back, or just want to ruin our day and our status? We are a little company on Poshmark for Pete's sake! We don't have 1000's of reviews. These reviews have large consequences on our sales. And Poshmark doesn't do anything. Nothing.
Only once, after writing in multiple times, did an actual human write back on this type of case. They said something to the following effect: 'We know it's frustrating, but PM can't remove these reviews, and alluded to how even if the reviews are inaccurate, it doesn't matter.' Hmm that's interesting. No protection? No recourse when we were wronged? And we suffer sales? Honestly, why? I'm really wondering... why? Truly, how hard would it be to take down wrong reviews when we have the evidence? It's mind boggling?
I'm not just writing here to warm you, I'm also giving ideas for PM to improve; some of the same ideas I've shared with PM, but they didn't listen (to my knowledge they didn't even read them), and I was being absurdly polite. I'm a little tired of it all now. So, here are some ideas for you. It would be great if you shared them with PM and others as well. Maybe if more of us chime in they will move (albeit languidly), to do something for once: Here are some ideas to share: (1) These types of inaccurate and/ or predatory/ spiteful reviews that impact our sales could and should be removed when: we clearly have receipts of sale showing the accurate descriptions and photo documentation. (2) Additionally, these and other outlier reviews (possibly 10%) should be automatically removed in general, every set period (monthly, quarterly?), as there are so many irrational and dishonest people out there! Lands! What is with people? Can you try to read the whole, short, listing next time? Is that too hard for you? Oooh (3) And, here's a final idea for now. For each transaction, we could: (a) Review the customer, which is a very common and logical process (like on eBay or Uber); that would be hilarious to see if they think that's fair, and even (b) review PM on each transaction. Haha! I bet PM would like that: D Oh ya! Haha. I wonder what their auto-generated response would say to that idea? I wonder how much money they would loose. Hmm. Hahaahaa.
I would truly stay clear of PM for these and MANY other reasons. They have had some of the most [censored]ic and unjust customer service bots/ staff (the same thing in my mind) I've ever worked with, and the whole system is a sham that takes 20% of our hard work, for literally doing nothing but hosting (with tons of unresolved bugs, by the way, tons!), and no protection. What a stupid program and what an immoral, impotent bunch of staff. I truly hope it goes out of business to teach the lazy, crooked owners (they could change, ya know) they can't get away with it forever, and to protect more honest people from loosing money, wasting their time and getting hurt. Sounds really fun, huh! Ya, it's been a blast!

Poshmark Some of the absolute worst customer service

I have used Poshmark on and off for about four years.

I always found it to be really pricey as far as the shipping options are concerned. Buying something as small as a lipgloss, for example, shouldn't have only one option such as a seven dollar shipping fee, especially when the priority mail takes as long to get to you as the standard first class does.

As a seller, I don't like how Poshmark takes 20% per transaction. I think that is quite a piggish amount to snatch up, especially since it's a lot of work to write these listings and to sell online in general. Mercari takes much less. I just find 20% to be quite a lot.

Due to all this, I have made it a point to not use Poshmark that often. I don't like to sell on there, and I just as much don't like to buy on there. It's an exception when I do either.

The most recent transaction I experienced on Poshmark, however, will be making it so I never use Poshmark again once I finally get what's owed.

2 months ago, I treated myself to buying a ring. As an avid jewelry buyer, I haven't bought jewelry on Poshmark before, as I tend to just buy jewelry from a lot from my artist friends. Now I know why I've never bought jewelry on Poshmark before and never will again. A lot of it is resale jewelry, so you really don't know what you're getting.

I order a ring that was almost $200. The seller seemed OK enough, although you can't really tell if a seller has had negative reviews because Poshmark doesn't allow you to see that. Another ridiculous antic of Poshmark. A buyer should know if a seller is trustworthy, especially when investing a certain amount of money.

The ring came to me. Late, as the seller clearly had better things to do than to send my ring on time, but it came nonetheless. It was pretty, it seemed fine. I tried it on, it fit. I was at home after a long day of working, so I wasn't going to wear it around my house that day, so I merely tried it on for a few moments and it seemed OK.

I rated the seller promptly because I, as a seller myself, appreciate quick ratings so that I can get paid. You have three days to rate an item after you get it in the mail as a buyer, otherwise the money gets given to the seller with or without your rating. After this point, the item is not returnable.

A few days later (day five since getting the ring), when I was finally able to wear the ring for the day, I decided to wear it while at home. I work with my hands so I didn't want to wear the ring on the days it was in my possession prior (Days 1-4 of the ring being here), until I knew there would be no damage done to the ring whatsoever.

All I did during my day off while wearing the ring, was literally sit on my couch, have a sandwich and watch television. After the ring was on my finger for literally less than two hours, I noticed the main stone was completely missing from the ring. I looked everywhere, finally I found the stone. I couldn't believe that I had barely worn this ring and there was definitely no wear nor tare done to it, and yet the stone had completely fallen out.

Because it was past the 3 Day window that Poshmark allows you to make returns, I was in a really difficult position. It was day five, which in Poshmark language means your item MUST be acceptable (I guess Poshmark has never envisioned the concept that some items might be faulty and show their true colors after day three; insert an eye roll here).

I contact Poshmark, and there's no option for me to make a return. I write to the seller directly who sold me the ring, and they won't listen to me at all. They claim they don't take damaged merchandise back. Ummmmm, are you like, for real?! THEY SENT damaged merchandise. How nice of them to charge me close to $200, send me damaged merchandise, but not take their damaged merchandise back. I am currently debating if I should put the seller company's name here so others can avoid this complete scammer.

Finally Poshmark gets back to me and says that I cannot have my money back because I damaged the ring. Again, all I did was sit on my couch and eat a sandwich and watch television while wearing the ring. What a wild day it was! Please. Give me a break. They completely took the seller's side, blindly.

After about 10 emails back-and-forth, most of which were different Poshmark agents getting back to me as though it was the first time we ever emailed about this, giving me the run-around, rather than providing a seamless line of communication (yet they each exhibited the very same types of immature behavior, in their refusal to be accountable. Yet the way they defended this "lady who pretends to be an artist" seller, who in reality is a reseller, was truly impressively appalling), I got completely fed up and decided to get PayPal involved.

PayPal told Poshmark to contact me with directions so that I could get my money back. Poshmark did NOT in turn tell me what to do; actually, Poshmark was STILL continuing to try to dodge the situation, even once PayPal was involved. I actually asked PayPal if Poshmark was supposed to contact me, to which they said yes.

The funniest part of all of this is because Poshmark put their foot in their mouth and defended the seller, they decided (because their ego is so big), that the only way they would be able to sleep at night with me getting a refund is if I send the ring back to them.

What is Poshmark going to do with a broken ring?! That's my question. I would understand if they got the seller involved and had me return the ring to them, but to basically allow the seller to go scot-free and send out faulty jewelry and keep their money, is beyond my comprehension.

Well I wanted my money back so I cooperated and sent the ring back to Poshmark? because Poshmark is apparently going to die without the ring in their possession. I'm sure one of their team members will enjoy finding the broken ring so that they can pocket it and take it home.

And now, the latest and greatest problem is, I had partially paid for this item with my Poshmark balance from a prior sale I had made. So while I did get the money back from PayPal (after weeks of continued back-and-forth by the way), here I am still fighting to get my balance back from Poshmark and we are now at 2 months after the initial transaction.

And when I shipped this ring back, I said in bold print I expected my Poshmark balance back. They literally have the ring in their possession and they won't give me my full refund back still. Mind you, this balance came from a transaction where I sold an item on Poshmark, of which they already have their 20% selling fee. So they're basically stealing from me.

I would truly avoid buying and selling on Poshmark. They only take your side if you have had tons and tons of sales, even if you have negative reviews. It's really ridiculous. I've never seen a selling and buying platform where the sellers are more protected than the buyers.

As a maker myself, I understand how important it is to feel protected when you sell your creations, but I wouldn't want to sell my creations on Poshmark. Not after how they treated me as a buyer. I wouldn't want anyone who shops from me on any platform to ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable the way Poshmark has made me feel.

Poshmark Awful, nonexistent outsourced customer service

Poshmark is disgusting. I've just had to cancel a transaction that a seller did not ship after a week - they never even apologized to me and even were totally dishonest about intending to ship a couple days prior (block username: ejjohnsonnn). I am waiting on another one that is about to go into day 5 since purchasing and has not shipped. Both sellers that take this long to ship have 1-2 day shipping averages calculated supposedly (emphasis on supposedly) on their shipping times. This is INACCURATE and inconsistent, as I had to ship 50+ items next-day in order to receive a 1-day shipping average on my seller page. That is very shady of Poshmark to hold different sellers to different standards. There is no accountability for sellers that take this long to ship or have their transactions cancelled - they should certainly receive a flag on their account! Another listing that I paid for was canceled 2 days later because the seller 'changed their mind'. It is insulting that Poshmark even allows this to be a reason for cancelling a transaction. Then they take days to refund you when of course they remove the money from your account instantly when you purchase.

Poshmark will not edit ratings. It's nonsensical. As where eBay will gladly remove any unfair negative feedback immediately, Poshmark refuses to do a darn thing about it. I sent a sweater to a woman with several close-up pictures of the broken belt AND included 'broken belt' in description. She gave me one star stating 'belt was broken'. (Block: Jennifer Gural a. K. ***@littlebittyjeny). Clearly an unfair rating on the part of a careless buyer who must have money to burn if they can purchase a $60 sweater without reading the description.

I've been selling my items there for years and they just have no respect at all for anyone who uses their site. I sent them a long email giving feedback on the number of packages they've had to reimburse me for that the USPS has lost, suggesting that for their own good they offer additional mailing options. I got some abrupt, dismissive reply from a person who was clearly writing from overseas. EBay might do the same thing but at least they have helpful customer service reps ON THE PHONE. This cheap company cant even find the decency within themselves to get an actual phone number. Finally, Poshmark made an extremely stupid marketing move thats driven them even further down the toilet. They introduced a super important selling feature and only gave it to 10% of users, stating they were testing it. 5 days later and it hasnt been made available to me- I emailed them expressing my discontent at their previous handling of my feedback, and that this was even more important to me in that I saw how unfair it was to leave some sellers in the dark with this new feature. They again sent me a bureaucratic 3-sentence reply saying they would forward my feedback and never ONCE actually showed that theyd address it. Even if you wont give me an answer, you personally ADDRESS an unhappy customer. They cant even do that. Poshmark and their outsourced customer service/marketing strategies are pathetic and I am one of many of their users that thinks this way!

*UPDATESince this customer service blunder, they approved a return for a dishonest buyer that falsified measurements because the dress didn't fit the way she wanted. She wanted to return the dress on the basis of my size small listed being inaccurate due to the length of the dress - she claimed it was actually a large because it was 3 inches longer than my measurements listed. The waist and bust measurements were not debated (because of course they were correct and correlated with size small). The only thing she mentioned was the length, and any seller/buyer should know that length has nothing to do with size. I had included in the listing that the size tag was missing, and this was the first thing she mentioned in the return, clearly indicating that she did not read the listing. When I stated that the size listed was an estimation based on measurements, she told me that I should have indicated that measurements are an estimation. Never did I ever say that measurements were an estimation - she did this solely to manipulate my words and further her own fraudulent case. Poshmark picked up on none of this.

Not only did they approve the return, but they sent me an email telling me to include measurements and size in the future, as if I had not already done so. Pathetic attempt on their part to look like they actually reviewed the case (since they automatically side with buyers no matter what). But joke's on them, if they actually had reviewed it properly, they wouldn't have included such an ignorant statement in their email to me. Size and measurements were CLEARLY listed on the page for the dress, and the buyer was a total idiot for not reading it. I had reached out to the buyer before & after shipping the product, and after the return case was opened. She ignored my polite communications every single time and only contacted me through the case thread that Poshmark opened for the return. The way she spoke to me here should have been labeled harassment and, based on this and her questionable reasoning for returning, she should NOT have been approved. It was clear she was being manipulative and dishonest, as the photographic 'evidence' she included was blurry and cut off. Despite this, and my attempts to reach out to Poshmark to defend my end, they have yet to reply nor remedy the situation. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to receive compensation for this transaction, as I deserve. Poshmark does NOT protect sellers, and sides with buyers only to keep the money coming in on their end. Greedy and unethical company - current sellers/buyers please ***@lahenson aka Lisa Henson (Dallas, GA) so she does not have the chance to scam you too. I received the return back, stuffed carelessly into a mailer. Upon re-measuring, I found they were exactly the same measurements as I had stated in the listing. I reached out to Poshmark with photos of my correct measurements - unlike the cropped ones the buyer had sent in her case. Instead of a response, the next day Poshmark sends me an automated email that the earnings have been refunded back to the buyer, and once again asking me to please include measurements in my listing. It is absolutely criminal how they behave. So they make honest sellers wait 3 days to have their item accepted by a buyer - and this sick scammer Lisa Henson gets to take 2 days to file a return case - but they release a refund less than ONE FULL DAY after delivery of a return? And they dont even wait to make sure the buyer sent back the same item? As a buyer, I could literally return every single item I buy for any old reason and not even have to send the correct item back. This is why people like her scam sellers. Because Poshmark makes it so easy. Poshmark knowingly ALLOWS buyers to scam sellers and file fraudulent returns. There are other reviews here that state the exact same thing! In response to my BBB complaint, they replied: "the user listed the total length size to be 47 inches ( as stated within the listing). The buyer provided a photo of the length measurements to be 50 inches. As such, our team was forced to approve the case. For this reason, we consider the case closed." UNBELIEVABLE. They clearly didn't read a word I wrote. The length was exactly as stated in my listing and the buyer provided MANIPULATED photos not showing the entire length. Their abrupt and ignorant response shows that they NEVER take the time to correctly evaluate any situations that arise on their site, and that they DO NOT care about their customers nor do they see any reason to rightfully earn their ridiculous 20% commission. What's even stupider is that Poshmark refunded me for the transaction after I clicked 'Problem with Return' when I received the returned item. I'm not upset about the money here - I'm upset about the principle. They still insisted it was an 'honest oversight'. Cover-their-own-butts bureaucracy at its finest. If this is the case, why the idiotic response on BBB?

Unsurprisingly, they say selling counterfeits is illegal and not allowed on their site, yet they let it happen and do nothing when you report it - because doing something about it would incur a little thing we call effort, something this site is not known for. I bought a fake Kate Spade dress ***@lamaisonjaune aka Sarah Ng of Haddonfield NJ. I had the order canceled, she deleted the listing with my comments asking to cancel the order (it was on her About Me page and she instantly reinstated the SAME page with the same cliche pictures of her so that my comments would be GONE, even though I never accused her of selling a fake). She then changed her username once I filed several online claims citing her old username! Her NEW username ***@lamaisonjaune, DO NOT be fooled by this cliche-on-overload seller with her cutesy About Me page and pictures of her dog. She is a scammer! I reported to Poshmark and received a very rude response from Mina who was likely typing from a country thousands of miles from where Poshmark headquarters is located. They tell you not to send more than one email as it delays a response. Funny, the response would have been delayed or nonexistent no matter how many emails you send them. This sounds a lot like the page they have explaining why they dont have a phone number - it wouldnt make any sense, guys! Your emails go to a real live human being, they promise it does! And that is far more efficient than a phone number! Please avoid sending multiple emails as it puts your email at the bottom of our queue and may result in a delayed response. Excuses excuses excuses. They have an excuse for everything, rather than a solution to anything. Nice that they hide behind email and refuse to provide a phone number where you can speak directly to someone if you want a complaint escalated higher than an entry level cog who will copy and paste you a response.

Sad that Poshmark supports scammers in favor of their own profits. Karma will come around and have her go at them. Poshmark is an amateur, shady company full of holes and so many wasted opportunities to do better. Lack of any customer support by phone, corrupted return policies, and ridiculous commission fees - a competitor who sees these shortcomings as a venue to do much better will eventually knock them to the curb where they belong. Poshmark will one day take a seat next to MySpace in the dead has-beens of the Internet section, mark my words.

Poshmark This is regarding Order # ************************

This is regarding Order # ***. I received a product from this vendor that was in a significantly different condition than described. The listing stated that the item was in "excellent condition, inside & out." The seller also mentioned in the comments that the handbag was only used for about 3 months and had been stored in a closet. However, upon receiving the item, it was clear that the seller did not accurately describe it, as stated in Poshmark's terms and conditions. According to these terms, I have the right to return the item for a full refund if it is not truthfully, accurately, and completely described. The handbag had stains, pilling, and a film on the interior lining, and the handle was stained, scratched, and worn. It is unreasonable to describe this item as being in "excellent condition." I immediately contacted Poshmark through their proper channels and tools to express my dissatisfaction with the condition of the handbag. I selected "Problems/Order Inquiry" and then "Order Not as Described." I provided a reason for the return, included images showing the issues, and gave a detailed description of how the item failed to be accurately described. I submitted the return within the allowed time period. In the luxury resale market, there are industry standards and norms for item descriptions. While Poshmark has not defined "excellent condition," other online resale companies have. For example, The RealReal defines "excellent condition" as having no visible signs of wear, while Thred Up defines "like-new" as being in excellent condition and "gently used" as having minor signs of wear. I relied on the seller's description and the posted photographs when deciding to purchase this handbag. Unfortunately, the seller strategically obscured the true condition of the handbag in the photos. The item I received was in good condition, not the advertised "excellent condition." It had heavy tarnishing and wear, light scratches on the metal hardware, marks, wear, and pilling on the lining, and moderate discoloration and significant scuffs on the handle. I did not agree to buy an item in "good condition" but specifically wanted one in "excellent condition." The terms and conditions do not limit claims to authenticity and allow returns for situations like this. I have followed all procedures to return the handbag, but Poshmark has refused to process the return or provide a return address. The case was closed without any communication from Poshmark, except for an automated response confirming my return request. When I finally spoke to a customer service representative, I was informed that since Poshmark had closed the case without any interaction, nothing could be done. I am ready to ship the return as soon as I receive the address and I expect my refund to be processed promptly.

Poshmark In good faith, I purchased a Christian Dior keychain on January 25, 2020 from the seller sarascollection

In good faith, I purchased a Christian Dior keychain on January 25, 2020 from the seller sarascollection. The seller reached out to me and offered a 10% discount if I made a purchase. After exchanging 14 messages over the course of almost a month, the seller informed me that they had sent me the wrong keychain due to a mistake made by their new employee. They promised to send me the correct keychain along with a Christian Dior makeup bag and some additional items. They assured me that they would cover the extra shipping costs and provided a timeframe of 2 to 3 days for delivery. However, they did not provide me with a tracking number. I responded by providing my shipping address and asking if I would receive the Dior keychain I paid for. I also mentioned that I did not need the makeup bag. On January 29, I asked the seller when I could expect the delivery and wished them a speedy recovery. On January 31, the seller informed me that they would send out the keychain the next day along with the makeup bag and other items. I responded by asking for a clear answer on whether or not I would receive the item I paid for. I expressed my frustration at receiving a box with nothing but junk. On February 1, the seller provided me with a tracking number and apologized for the mix-up, explaining that they had been dealing with a ruptured disc in their back and had hired a new employee who made the mistake. They asked me to inform Poshmark that I did not want to continue the case and requested that I wait until Tuesday to receive the package. They also offered a full refund if I did not want to wait and invited me to choose another item from their closet. On February 2, the seller expressed their sadness about the situation and assured me that they were willing to work with me. I responded by reiterating that I only wanted what I paid for and not any substitute items. I also clarified that my name is Luisa, not Lisa. The seller explained to Poshmark that they were sorry for the mistake and asked them to hold off on the case until I received the correct item. On February 5, I contacted Poshmark representatives and informed them that I only wanted the item I paid for and requested a refund if the seller could not provide it. I also mentioned that I would take legal action if necessary. I asked the community to inform the seller that my name is Luisa, not Lisa. The seller had promised that the keychain would arrive on February 4, but as of February 7, the USPS tracking number showed that it was still in transit. I have not received any further correspondence from the seller or Poshmark as of February 7.

Poshmark Online marketplace, I signed up as a seller

Today, Sat. 3/2/2024, I was asked to make 2 different payments so my account could have enough money so I can sell on their site.

After making 2 payments, 1 for $500 & then another for $500, they asked me to pay another $500 for insurance. I didn't do the last payment because I suspected fraud, asked for my money back & now they won't return it.

Claimed loss: $750

Desired outcome: money back on my card

I've been a seller on Poshmark for 4 years. Last week, I sold a pair of pants on Poshmark. They were delivered to the buyer on the 24th. Poshmark has a 72 hour window for the buyer to rate the purchase. If they don't, Poshmark will release funds so the buyer gets paid. It was well past 72 hours, and I had not been paid and the buyer didn't rate the...

Poshmark Account

I've been a seller on Poshmark for 4 years. Today, they locked my account and want personal information to identify me. Why? I've never had this happen before. I have orders that need to be shipped out, and I cannot print out labels! I'm furious!

At 9:06 a.m. on January 19, 2024, I attempted to print out a shipping label for a sale on Poshmark. There was no label, and a message came up stating that Poshmark needed to verify my identity. I followed the steps to complete this, and a message came back saying they were unable to identify me. I then sent an e-mail to them at 9:10 a.m. and attached all of the information they need.

I am demanding that my account be reinstated and that I get ALL of the money coming to me from recent sales.

Claimed loss: $500.00

Desired outcome: Unlock my account so I can ship out my orders and release the money I have in my account from sales.

Poshmark Misrepresented item sold, refund refused

In December 2023 I was sold a pair of American Eagle Artist Flare Distressed Hem jeans in a size 6 long. When I received them, I found that they had been shortened by almost 8 inches from a standard size 6 long. They reached mid-calf, when a 6 long typically reaches the floor on me. I submitted multiple complaints to Poshmark with several photos showing the altered length of the pants, the advertised length, and a side-by-side photo with another pair of American Eagle 6 long jeans I own, showing a huge difference in length. Poshmark refused to issue a refund.

Claimed loss: $38

Desired outcome: Refund

Poshmark Terrible customer service

My wife bought size 16 clothes and received size 12. We filed a dispute and poshmark rejected it. They stated that I should have contacted the seller and ask them if the size 16 advertised clothes is really size 16. What a stupid way to screw the customer. I had to go thru paypal dispute to get a refund and ended up paying return shipping for for their screw up. It was my first time to use them and probably it was the last time.

Desired outcome: Refund me return shipping cost.

Poshmark Scam

I was scammed by a person named Kim Ryan-Schaarschmidt who told me she put Louis Vuitton earrings on sold status until I paid $300 to her through Apple Cash. As soon as she received the money last Thursday, she shut off her messenger after she instructed me to send her a snapshot of the money. She has a couple of Facebook pages and she sells LV items in a group called LV addicted resale (authentic only) she used vaultdecoutures pictures holding the earrings in order to con me into giving her the $300.

Poshmark Shipping cost

I sold 3 handbags to a customer. Normal shipping is $7.95 I believe. This was over 5 pounds therefore needed a different label. I weighed the package and it was between 9 and 10 pounds. I printed the label. When my funds were released there was a difference of $18. My earnings was supposed to be $212 but I only received $196. I could not get a satisfactory answer from Poshmark. Nowhere did I see that overweight shipping was the responsibility of the seller! This is WRONG! I would like to receive the rest of my money! They had already received over $50 as their fee!

Desired outcome: Being paid the $18 dollars they stole from me!!!

The box arrived all pretty, however the serum bottle was only 1/2 full...This makes me wonder about all the rest of the p product, she tampered with the product and I want my money back. I complained within 72 hours of receiving the product. It did not occur to me that this seller would tamper with the product but she did. I went to Macys and she showed me how the bottle should be full. This is fraud and I want my money back, all of it.

Poshmark Mattress pad.

I purchased a king size mattress pad for $159.

I was sent a cal king.

I have the reciept for what i ordered- a king size mattress pad. I never accepted the order nor did i know of any 72 hour rule which i am just finding out about now.

This seller does not return any communication.

I have sent the pic of what i received to your customer service rep a calif king mattress pad.,.. And a pic of my receipt specifically stating it was a king mattress pad that i ordered.

This is fraud. This is bait and switch which is illegal.

I want my full refund and i want the shipping refunded to me as well. The funds should be deducted from the seller. She is the one in the wrong here not the innocent buyer. I gave it as a gift so i wrapped it as it came. I found out this weekend at the shower that it was not what i had ordered.

Desired outcome: I WANT A FULL REFUND NOT IN CREDIT, I WANT MY $159 BACK ALONG WITH THE SHIPPINGFOR SOME REASON THE TWO PICS WILL NOT UPLOAD CONTACT ME AND I WILL RESEND VIA EMAIL
