Belle Tire - Scammer
My husband brought our Jeep Patriot in for an alignment and while he was sitting in the waiting room waiting for them to even bring the car in to get that request done a representative called him and told him that there is a bunch of loose parts on the vehicle. Now take note that they were trying to sell parts and work before they even brought our vehicle...

I prescheduled an appointment at 1230 to change 4 tires. I arrived 5 minutes early. The vehicle was checked in keys delivered, keyway for locks. At this point I was told it would take maybe 1 hour and 15 minutes. (1:45). I think that is a reasonable time, while also completing an alignment check.
While waiting I noticed a screen on the TV that changed that time to 2:10 and my vehicle still sitting in the parking spot. I accepted the 2:10 new notice shown on the screen.
At 3:19 they call me up and tell me the alignment is a little off and that would take another hour or so. I told them I just couldn't wait anymore as I would have never thought professionals could take this long to change the tires and would have to have it fixed at the Merryville store next week while out there.
I was told paperwork was in the vehicle, was giving my keyway for the tire locks. Once I got home, I noticed the cover plate for the bumper missing. This is the plate that covers the access port to lower the spare tire. It's obvious from the scratches on the bumper they did not use the funnel protector while winding the tire back in. No paperwork for the warranty.
Recommendation: Try to verify time lines and hold them accountable for your time. Check your vehicle for missing parts before you leave. Verify paperwork in hand and ask them why they don't put back the parts the take off.
Horrible Leadership AND disrespectful Customer Service-John B (Southfield)
I have previously had customer service from Tyler, a rep at the Southfield office. I have purchased over $3000 worth of tires on one vehicle and recently visited Belle Tire to replace three tires on another vehicle after which time the sensor light went on and would not go off. When I left two the store, Tyler told me I needed to drive the car and the light would subsequently go out. After two weeks the sensor never went out.
I contacted John B (surprisingly a manager who answered the phone). He said come right in and we'll take care of you. I can send one of the guys out to reset. After a night shift, I drove in to have the sensor 'taken care of' at which time John B told me it would be one and a half to two hour wait. His demeanor was rude and 'take it or leave' even after me letting him know that I was the person who had just called. So I made an appointment. Next available 8am, three days later. On the day of the scheduled appointment, he approached me to tell me that the rear tires were attached without sensors and the light had always been on. I assured him that WAS NOT the case but he continued to tell me the light had always been on and if I wanted to correct it for $160. After telling Tyler about this recent experience at Belle Tire, John B proceeds to bring over a doc from Dec when I had the other tires replaced and shows me that I had decided not to have sensors added at that time. IT WAS NEVER TOLD TO ME THAT I WOULD HAVE A SENSOR COME ON AND THE SENSOR HAD NOT APPEARED UNTIL THIS LAST TIRE WAS PLACED ON THE VEHICLE. HE PERSISTED IN SAYING PRETTY MUCH THAT I WAS A LIAR AND THAT THE SENSOR HAD BEEN ON THE WHOLE TIME.
Hmmmm... I wonder why I would persist in having the sensor reset to go off, if it were on before I brought the car? John B was obnoxious and rude in his delivery. The information may have been helpful when the other two tires were placed. But why is it that there was no sensor light when the other tires were placed and you reinforced the fact that you could reset the sensor. You have wasted my time and I will certainly take my business elsewhere in the future!
Recommendation: If you would like rude service, see John B

Service
Sept l, took my car in for 4 new tires. The service people, Sam and Adam, were very rude, uncooperative and unprofessional. The service worker kicked my hubcap and cracked it, the car was returned to me with missing parts, mismatched hubcaps (bicycle caps mixed in) and protective parts taken from the tire rods. They stripped parts from our car. When I...

I purchased a full set (4) tires from Belle Tire in Plainwell Mi at the beginning of this year. I purchased the tire extended coverage, that would cover front end alignments and such. Twice now I’ve had a tire with low pressure and have gone to have them repaired. The first repair, the car was taken to a Westmain location in Kalamazoo. We were informed it...

Stole from my vehicle
I took my vehicle in for an oil change and a Tire. I just bought a new SD card for a drone I have and I set it in the center console by the shifter. When I picked the car up, the SD card was taken out of its holder. So one of the techs that drove in my car took my SD card. I've already contacted the local police. And all this could have been avoided if...

Tue April 4 2023 , brought truck in for wheel alignment. after 2 hours wait mech. informed me front end was within tolerance. Drove away and steering was no better then when I went in. (Pulled very hard to the right). NO time to go back as I was going to work. Went back on Thursday April 4 2023 to inform them it was not fixed. They would put it on the rack and check it out. Two other mechs. showed me they could not adj anything because it needed new Tie Rods and a complete front end rebuild. Therefore the other Mech on Tuesday actually performed NO alignment on the truck.
Desired outcome: I would like my $105.00 back as no work was done.
Oil change
On the evening of 12/12/2022 I visited Belle Tire in Elgin, Illinois after work for a 15:30 appointment. I set it up for a new set of tires and since I was there already I figured why not get an oil change too. I was told it would be about 2 hours so I went next door to Meijer department store and did some Christmas shopping. I returned to the store about...

Called manager at Pierson road Belle tire,on 02/27/23 @2:45pm, to bring car in for Rotate tires and check balance on (because was getting a bad vibration all of a sudden), which we payed for a long w/ tire warranties. And was told yes just bring it in, no appointment necessary.
They were going to be open another 5hrs. It's 1st come 1st serve. So i left work to drive 20 miles in a ice storm to get there and be told no sorry I have a guy going home in a hour, (hardly any cars there because of storm) and will only have 2 guys here for next 3 hrs. So we are kind of done for the day taking people. He acted like I was lying about calling.
Big guy behind desk could care less. So unprofessional that we can't rely on good service no more. Is this, the new norm?
They had no problem taking my $1,100 in June.
Honor what you say on the phone before you waste people's time Darrin.
I'll take my business to another tire shop next set on my 6 cars.
Desired outcome: Pay me back for wasting my time and risking driving my car in a ice storm.

Up sell
I have been to beller tire five times, every time they up sell to a wheel alignment.
I never bite on this because I don't believe them. The numbers are always off.
My son, a full-time student went to belle tire for a flat tire. He ended up paying close to $400? He was told his alignment was way off, again no proof. He agreed, his car is 12 years old and has 120,000 miles on it. So, he was sold a bag of goods plus a stupid charge of $40 for an alignment guaranty. What the heck is this? I'm not giving your company anymore of my business.
Always an upsell, why? Do you want pissed off customers?
Service
Phoned Belle Tire, Alpine Ave. Grand Rapids MI on Dec. 16 Friday to verify price and availability for car tire also day to bring car in. Talked to Steve. I would wait for the car. Called before leaving home to verify tires are available. Arrived on scheduled day, Monday Dec. 19 2022. Sale person said I was to drop off car and service will take three weeks. I said no and to take me off their list and left. Called around and found another place that will have same cross climate Michelin tires and installed in four hours. I will not use Belle Tire again.
Desired outcome: Fine store
Kind of same POOR SERVICE I received today.
Quote gone wrong
I would like to start by saying I have purchased three sets of tires for my truck prior to the experience I had yesterday at the store in Oregon Ohio.
I contacted the store and ordered six replacement tires and asked about replacing the upper and lower ball joints. The estimate seemed reasonable so I scheduled the appointment. I was told the truck would be ready around two that afternoon. Just after two I was called not to come pick up my truck but instead they had made an error with the quote and would also need to purchase wheel bearing’s also. This would add another 500 to my bill that’s already 3000 dollars. I simply didn’t have the money for this. I went to the store to get my truck and explained that I was going to submit a complaint about this situation and was told I could look it up he would not help me. The person I spoke with is named Justin. My wife was with me and did get annoyed and a little upset. Justin asked to calm down and turned his head and made the comment Jesus you’re f*ing annoying.
I told Justin that now I just want a refund to remove the six tire’s from my truck. I want a refund. Justin tells me that’s fine he would put me on the board. My wife and I go to the waiting area at this point. Around thirty minutes later Justin said he spoke to the manager and now going to install the wheel bearings at no cost so after another six hours of waiting my truck is repaired.
I don’t want anything. I’m simply letting someone know what occurred and I will not be shopping at Belle tire again. I will not support a business that will speak to my wife or anyone else in this manner.
Desired outcome: Nothing
Work performed on my vehicle
Went into your location on hall road in macomb twp to have 6 new tires installed on my work truck which is a box truck like a uhaul truck the guy that was helping me Bob was very nice on the phone and everything like that which got my business he had told me I needed a front end alignment which o just had over 2 thousand dollars worth of front end work everything is new including my alignment he told me I needed a new alignment done said mine was way out specs so I said go ahead they sent me out of the store with a vehicle that was pretty much undriveabke one wheel was straight the other was slightly turned right I called him with my concerns which I spent 2 thousand dollars with you guys on this visit and told me I don’t have time to fix your truck I have Black Friday and I’m to busy what kinda customer care is that I own my own small business I’d never do a customer like that if I need to repair a job it’s my top priority he was very rude about everything I spent big money I called the place that fixed my front end they stopped everything they were doing to get me in last night to make sure I was driving my truck and got me back on the road I’m very disappointed with belle tire I’m young and will never get my business again I’m going to leave a bad review on everything I can about you guys thank you for nothing
Desired outcome: You tell me
Stripped stud(s) and lugnut(s)
*note: I spoke to and sent an email explaining this situation to "Dave" in customer service at Belle Tire. This complaint is for documentation as well.
I spent over 1k on new tires for my Honda Ridgeline. During the process, the mechanic came in to speak to the manager on duty and explained that a lug-nut was stripped! I inspected it and just the first several threads were stripped on the nut. I did not see the stud. I had already waited just under 2 hours and was then quoted a price to (punch stripped stud), replace and be on my way. I would just have to wait another 1.5 hours or so and the cost would be just over $100. I could not wait any longer and decided to be on my way after all tires were complete. During that time, I called my mechanic and told him what was explained to me regarding the stripped items. He asked if just the first several were stripped or if the whole nut was. According to my mechanic, the whole nut would be stripped if it was put on all the way. If it was left partially threaded, the nut would stick out and the plastic cap on my custom rims would not sit. And, that was never the case. Twice I came back to the local store and asked this to be rectified. "Your vehicle has to be inspected, and can't be inspected right now. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait either time and eventually found out that my particular vehicle has to have the whole hub replaced, and can't have individual studs punched out. There was no way I wanted Bell Tire touching my vehicle with this issue. I decided to have my mechanic do the job and found out that several studs and lug-nuts were stripped on the same hub! $700+ to fix. I now have a major concern that ALL my wheels are in this state and won't find out until I start pulling off nuts.
Desired outcome: I want to confirm that all lug-nuts and studs are sound on all my wheels AND, I would like Belle Tire to compensate to some extent for the work that I had done.
Rip Off
I went to get my oil changed at Belle Tire on Sagamore in front of Meijer in West Lafayette. After the oil change was done, the assistant manager had told me that my brake pads were pretty much gone and that I needed to get them done. She then said they could do it that day….for $900! The next paper then had a quote for brake pads and other items for another price of $1,100. That is such a huge rip off, especially for someone who is a college student and they seem vulnerable. Will not be going back.
Desired outcome: Paid for Oil change and left.
They do this to everyone. They did this to me twice. My quote for rear brake was $1171.78. They are only trying to make money. I got the brakes done at the dealership for $576.00. They did this the last time I bought tires and they do this to everyone. They are rip offs! They tried to charge me double what it cost. ONLY GET TIRE AT BELL TIRE NOTHING ELSE. NOT EVEN THE ALLINMENT YOU SEEM TO ALWAYS NEED. The repair cost for the tires also is a rip off. If you can't leave you car there for hours to get a tire fixed do not pay for this.
Wheel alignment
On September 12th I had my parents drop my 2004 ford mustang off at 1345 north wisner in jackson at belle tire for a wheel alignment around 12:00pm, and was told it would be around 2 hrs to complete job. Then at roughly 7:00 pm that night I received a call asking if I wanted an alignment done I said yes and the gentleman said it would most likely get taken care of the following morning.
Tuesday the 13th comes around and I was contacted in regards to my driver side needing a camber bolt due to it being so far out.
At this time I explain to the sales person (scott) that the passenger side tire sat 1 1/2" further back than the drivers side, and if it couldn't be corrected I didn't want the alignment done. He almost spoke over me trying to explain that putting the bolt on was just a starting point for the alignment.
I then said again that if the problem with the passenger side tire could not be corrected I didn't want to be charged for any parts and once again asked if they could start on the passenger side.
I received a call Tuesday morning informing me that the car was done and the alignment was within spec.
At this point I called my parents to go pick up the car, so they did and dropped it off at my house.
Later that night when I arrived home from work and checked out the car only to notice the tire was still pushed back.
The following morning I called and spoke to Gabe who explained to me that the car would need caster camber plates to fix the problem because the factory ones only allowed for so much adjustment.
I became frustrated because I had thoroughly (or so i thought) explained I didn't want the alignment if the tire couldn't be corrected, and that's when Gabe offered to re align the car for free after I purchased the plates.
I then told him that the salesman never gave me a print out of the spec sheet of the alignment, and he said they should have.
(They also added on a 35.00 alignment warranty without speaking to me nor my parents about, but after my mom went back in the store they refunded the 35.00
Once I finally was able to drive the car I first noticed the steering wheel was still crooked but the car seemed to drive fairly straight.
I drove around 10 miles to work, then on my way home (1 mile from entering I-94 i heard a loud pop and the front passenger side dropped.
As I pulled off the road to Inspect I found the ball joint had popped out of the socket.
I immediately called and spoke to Gabe and asked him if the tech had inspected any parts before doing the alignment and he said yes he had 2 people reef on it. I told him I needed a refund, and he said no problem.
So today the 16th I went to the Jackson belle tire where the work had been performed, and asked to see Gabe and he refunded my money and here we are now.
I've tried all day today and once yesterday to reach out to belle tire corporate and haven't received any response that's why I've spent the last hour writing this.
Desired outcome: Some sort of compensation for the damage to my rim and inner fender well
Bell Tire are rip off artists! Do not get anything but Tires there. Nothing else on even the Alignment. They lie and change you double for most things. They will charge you double the price for brakes. They tried this 2 times on me.
I'm complaining about being looked over as a female custome
My complaint is about Melissa Nelson at the South Bend Indiana store at 4337 S. Michigan 46614. I was in the store on 9-7-22 to get new brakes on my Cadillac. And I was in line and she was busy which I understand that but when she looked up she addressed the customer that was behind me. So I let it go! But when I came in there today 9-8-22. I was in line first a customer came through the door a man she addressed him looked over me again so when I finally got to the counter I asked her do you have a problem with females. then she started yelling and I asked her to come down I'm just asking you a question because this is the second time you looked over me as a customer and I was here first. So I didn't want her to take my money so I asked Gene which is the store manager to handle my transaction because I didn't want to deal with her any longer! SMH

Desired outcome: belle tires does not know what there are doing
Getting nail removed and tires rotated.
Everytime I go to get my tires rotated its like a zoo at your Miller rd Flint Mi location. I dont have a ride home and can't and don't want to spend a day in your show room .I have a nail stuck in my rear drivers side tire for 2 weeks that I hear everytime it rotates. I spent a thousand dollars on these tires thinking I was doing business with a tire store. I quit doing business with center rd store because they diversified so much its ridiculous . It is like this everytime I go up there.
When replacing my wheel and tire they ruined my brakes
I went to Belle tire on Illinois Road in Fort Wayne to have a new wheel and tire put on my pick-up Truck. When I went to pick it up they had replaced the wrong wheel and tire. When I went back for the second time my brake warning lights were on and when I put my foot on the break it went all the way to the floor. When I took my truck to Belle Tire my brakes were fine. When I complained about it he said that couldn't be and he brought out the second mechanic who had worked on it. He said that the brake lights were on and the brakes were leaking all over when he worked on it. There wasn't any brake fluid where the truck had been parked before they worked on it. I don't know if the first mechanic or the second mechanic was responsible but what mechanic would not say a word if the lights were on and the brakes were leaking all over. If my lights were on and brakes were that I bad I sure wouldn't have driven all the way to Belle and risked my life and others. Getting a new tire would have been my last concern I would have immediately gone to the local brake shop. Now they are trying to charge me to fix them. Now I have a truck that I can't even drive. It will have to be towed to another shop.
Tire
Was charged for parts that wasn't even put on my vehicle. My vehicle still has the original part with the manufacturing tag attached to it. But this the part I was supposed have had replaced and charged for.
Desired outcome: Clear my charge account to zero for the fraudulently charges
