I got this ad that looked like a government paper tryin' to fool me into usin' their stuff
I got this ad that looked like a government paper tryin' to fool me into usin' their stuff. I'm an old-timer, and I reckon this is a scam tryin' to fool folks like me.
I called Beltone and told them to quit sending garbage to my place
I called Beltone and told them to quit sending garbage to my place. I emailed them and even sent paperwork through the mail to make them stop this trash from coming to my house for my hubby who died 8 years ago... Yup, 8 long years I've been trying to end this nonsense. Can someone lend a hand?
On 1/12 I got a postcard letter tellin' me to schedule my free yearly hearin' test
On 1/12 I got a postcard letter tellin' me to schedule my free yearly hearin' test. I ain't never been to this place before and didn't even know they existed. I ain't given 'em any of my info, so I don't know how they got my address to send me this. I don't need their help, so this mail seems fishy to me. They even used the wrong suffix for my address, callin' me "Jr" when that ain't part of my name and I never used it before. Seems like a scam to me.

I wanna talk about the store at ***
I wanna talk about the store at ***. So, I got this boring brown envelope in the mail, right? And it had my name on it, all official-like, with big black letters saying "don't wreck it, official document." I mean, come on! It totally made me think it was some kinda government thing. But guess what? Inside, they had this fake check. Can you believe it? The whole marketing thing is just so misleading, man. I'm definitely gonna send a copy to ComplaintsBoard.com, you know? They gotta know about this.
I told Beltone two times already to stop sending me unwanted mail
I told Beltone two times already to stop sending me unwanted mail. I've been asking for a whole year, but they still sent me another mailer just a few days ago with that "$850 gift card" trick. Some of the mailers are for the old resident who's been dead for like 4 years. I told Beltone about it 6 months ago, but they don't seem to care. I've seen other people complain about this too. I don't want any more mail from them.
I bought hearing aids from the Creve Coeur location 'bout three years ago
I bought hearing aids from the Creve Coeur location 'bout three years ago. Got the ones with rechargeable batteries to save money on buyin' batteries, thought it was the best option out there. Cost me $6,000. Went in recently for my usual adjustment and they told me the rechargeable batteries ain't available no more. Gotta buy regular batteries every week now. Can't use my old battery for anythin'. The new hearing aids cost a whopping $10,000. The batteries for 'em are made by Beltone, but mine were made by some other company. Beltone never even bothered to contact me 'bout this change beforehand.
My mom, ***, died 4 years ago
My mom, ***, died 4 years ago. I don't think she ever used Beltone, but somehow I keep getting stuff from them. I've called the Farmington place and the 800 number many times to tell them to stop, but they don't listen. They keep sending me mail and even calling me. Last time they called, they lied and said my mom called them first. I just want them to remove all my info and stop bothering me.
I got a complaint 'bout Beltone in Mexico, MO
I got a complaint 'bout Beltone in Mexico, MO. They be sendin' fake ads to my crib. I reported 'em to the Attorney General's office in Jefferson City, Mo. to let 'em know 'bout Beltone's shady practices. I called Beltone's office in Columbia, Mo. and asked 'em to stop sendin' me their ads a few months back. They said it'd take a few weeks to remove my name from their list. But guess what? It ain't stopped! Now I'm gettin' ads from Beltone in Illinois and all 'round the area. Today, I got another Beltone mail with an $850 gift card from ***, the big boss at Midwest Beltone. I ain't interested in their products and I ain't lookin' to do business with 'em. This company don't understand the word "no." I'd rather go deaf than ever buy their stuff 'cause they don't respect boundaries and keep harassin' me with ads I don't wanna see.
I think this company has bad business practices
I think this company has bad business practices. I bought hearing aids and they did something sneaky. I have insurance and Beltone is in the network. They didn't tell me what my benefits were. They just said my insurance would cover up to $1000 and I would have to pay the rest. So, I ended up buying their fancy hearing aids that cost $10,000. They gave me a discount and said my insurance would cover $1000. But when I got my explanation of benefits (EOB), it said I only owed $1114.02. I called Beltone to ask what happened. The receptionist said I chose to buy the more expensive pair and signed a contract to pay the difference. But they didn't even explain that they were in the network and that I had a choice. She didn't listen when I told her I just wanted a refund of about $120. She said I can't get a refund because they charge more to insurance companies. I think they're doing something shady with their billing and they don't know how to explain benefits to their clients. I complained to the Attorney General. But the important thing is that their clients are old or disabled. I'm both. We don't always understand our benefits. I trusted them when they checked my benefits with *** and said I was capped at $1000. I didn't know I could choose cheaper hearing aids and pay less or nothing. I think they tricked me into buying the most expensive pair because I qualified for a loan from Wells Fargo. People should know about this when they buy from Beltone. They weren't helpful when I asked for a refund and I felt like they lied to me.
