Beyond The Rack Review: Hit or Miss Quality, Buyer Beware!
I gotta say, whenever I've had an issue with Beyond The Rack, their customer service has been pretty decent. But let me tell you, the quality of their products is hit or miss. I've bought a few things here and there, some I've liked, some I've had to return.
But let me tell you about my experience during Christmas. I work out of town, so I decided to do all my shopping online. Big mistake. When I got home, I had to send back 80% of what I bought, not because of sizing, but because of the LACK OF QUALITY. Defective items, clothes from "brand names" that were just plain cheap, shoes with glue still on them from when they were put together. I mean, come on. One pair of shoes that was supposed to be a winter boot had a tread made of foam like you'd find on flip-flops. And don't even get me started on the hair straighteners. One had plates that were stuck, and the other one I gifted didn't even work properly because the lights on it were busted. So disappointing. And all I get is a credit, so now I have to buy my way out of this website, so to speak. I'd rather just go to my local Winners store and buy from there. I've learned that's basically what Beyond The Rack is - an online Winners store.
So if you do decide to buy from Beyond The Rack, be careful. Do your research. You're taking a gamble on brands you've never heard of. Search for the product you're interested in on Google to double-check. Often, the actual price of the product is $30 more expensive on BTR.
I was about to buy a duvet on BTR with my credit when I found out that the exact same duvet I had been eyeing, and even bought from BTR, had failed a quality test regarding the down inside and was partially filled with polyester. (http://www.downmark.ca/consumer_information/fraud.htm) Canadian duvets are known for their quality, so I looked up Highland Feather, which was also on sale on BTR. They were advertising it as a Queen with 23oz. Down, but a quick search showed that their Queen duvets are actually 26 oz, and their Double duvets are 23 oz. They were trying to sell me a Double as a Queen! I would have been so disappointed if I had bought it, had to return it, and lost money on shipping.
This is what I mean about Beyond The Rack. It's a real gamble with this website. When all you have are pictures to go on, it's not like they give you top quality or consistent pictures or measurements to help you out. I've bought some good things, don't get me wrong, which is why I gave them an extra star. But just be careful, do your research, and be prepared to take a risk if you decide to shop on Beyond The Rack.
Beyond the Rack: Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Errors
I gotta say, I'm pretty ticked off at Beyond the Rack. I ordered three things from them not too long ago, and according to the tracking info, they all got shipped together in one package. But when the package arrived, there was only one item in it, and it was just tossed in there with no packing slip or anything. I was gonna let it slide, but I figured I should call and let them know about the mistake. I mean, it was only like 13 bucks worth of stuff, but still. Any other company I've dealt with would have been grateful for the heads up and tried to make things right. But not BTR. They were totally unhelpful and tried to blame me for the whole thing. Like, excuse me? This was their mistake, not mine. And to make matters worse, the other two items never even got shipped. I tried calling and emailing them over and over again, but all I got was a bunch of conflicting information. First they said they'd refund my money, then they said the items had been delivered and it was my fault they were missing. Like, what the heck? The tracking number clearly showed that all three items were supposed to be in the same package, but only one of them was there. Thank goodness too, because if the nail polish had been in that flimsy envelope, it would have broken and ruined everything else in there. And get this - they told me that if I ever had another missing items claim, they wouldn't even consider it. Like, seriously? It's not my fault your shipping department can't get their act together. It's been three weeks now, and I've sent them all kinds of proof that the items were never shipped and that I didn't do anything wrong. But they still haven't done anything to make it right. All I got was some garbled message saying they'd look into it. Yeah, right. I'm never ordering from Beyond the Rack again. They're a total joke.
Beyond the Rack Review: Late Delivery, Wrong Item, and Poor Customer Service
I recently made a purchase on Beyond the Rack for a Prada bag that I planned to give to my fianc? as a Christmas gift. The bag was listed as "guaranteed delivery for Christmas" and the price was too good to pass up, so I went ahead and made the purchase. However, I didn't receive any updates from BTR for almost two weeks, which made me a bit nervous. I thought they would ship my order when the item became available, but I wasn't sure.
With Christmas approaching, I decided to contact BTR to inquire about the status of my order. The agent I spoke with was friendly, but they didn't seem to have a clear answer about the status of my order. After several days of contacting them, BTR finally marked my order as shipped and provided a UPS tracking number with a delivery date of December 23. I was relieved because I knew that I should be able to get the bag in time for Christmas.
However, when I checked the tracking through UPS, it never updated from "awaiting drop-off from shipper". I contacted BTR multiple times, but they kept giving me the same copy/paste responses about waiting 24-48 hours for UPS. I even contacted UPS myself, and they confirmed that they had not received the package. BTR continued to blame UPS for the delay, even though it was clear that they hadn't shipped the package yet.
Finally, on December 22, I contacted BTR again to let them know that UPS had no record of receiving the package. BTR then told me that they couldn't guarantee the package would arrive by Christmas and blamed UPS for giving them the wrong tracking number. I was frustrated and disappointed, but I still held out hope that the bag would arrive in time.
Unfortunately, the bag didn't arrive until December 30, which was much later than expected. When I opened the box, I was shocked to find that it was the wrong purse! Not only that, but the purse I received was listed on BTR for $300 less than the one I had ordered. I contacted customer service, but they didn't seem to care and simply told me to return the item.
Feeling bad for my fianc?, who still hadn't received her Christmas gift, I offered to keep the bag if they would refund me the difference between the item I received and the one I had ordered. However, BTR only offered me a $20 refund, which was insulting considering the amount of money I had spent.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Beyond the Rack. They made promises they couldn't keep, blamed others for their mistakes, and didn't seem to care about their customers. I will never buy from them again and would not recommend them to anyone.
Beyond The Rack Review: Poor Quality, Slow Shipping, and Dishonest Customer Service
I do a lot of online shopping, but let me tell you, Beyond The Rack (beyondtherack.com) is the WORST online shopping site I've ever come across!
They claim to have good quality products, but every product I've ordered so far has been flimsy and cheaply made from overseas. At first, I thought it was just my bad luck, but subsequent orders confirmed the worst-case scenario; they're all equally bad!
Another major issue is their slow shipping. The normal waiting time is around a month (think about it; they need their overseas suppliers to ship to them first). And to make matters worse, they keep pushing out the shipment date.
But now, let's talk about the #1 lie of the century. I reached out to customer service to inquire about my order, and they told me it had just been shipped. However, when I checked the Canada Post tracking, it only showed "Electronic information submitted by shipper," which means "the shipper has created a shipping label for this item and has sent us electronic information. However, if no additional updates are showing in Track, it means we have not yet received the item. We will start tracking the item once it is provided to us."
So, in one word, BTR just created a digital label, and NO goods were shipped with the post service! The timestamp showed the customer rep just created the electronic label while he was chatting with me! After I exposed their lie, I received an email saying that all orders shipping from their Montreal warehouse destined to BC, AB, and SK are now being transferred in this method. Once the parcel reaches the Calgary facility, it will be scanned into their system, and the tracking number will then become traceable. They also mentioned that this process can take approximately 7 business days from the date shipped on their website. If this timeframe is ever exceeded, they ask that you contact them so they can investigate on your behalf. Once a parcel has been issued a tracking number, it unfortunately cannot be cancelled or re-routed.
So basically, they argue that tracking is not available until the item has reached my city. Of course, it's not available because NOTHING has been shipped out yet! Also, which post service offers no tracking of REAL shipment, if there was one, until it has reached the destination city?!
Now, let's talk about lie #2. BTR offers order cancellation within 10 days, but their estimated shipment time is around 1 month, which means it would be far too late once you realize you have nothing coming or they have pushed out the shipment date again, after they've taken your money!
I suggest everyone do the following:
1. NEVER shop at BTR;
2. If you happen to have fallen prey to them, ask your credit card issuer to dispute the payment;
3. Complain to regulatory bodies, such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and consumer protection agencies in your government, such as the Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA) in Canada (your province should have something similar too).
4. Complain EVERYWHERE online on every forum you can find to alert other consumers who might become BTR victims otherwise.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Beyond The Rack to anyone. Their products are of poor quality, their shipping is slow, and their customer service is dishonest. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.
Beware of Beyond The Rack: Sold Me a Fake Louis Vuitton Briefcase with No Returns
I had a really bad experience with Beyond The Rack back in 2011. They were having a sale on vintage Louis Vuitton items and I thought I hit the jackpot. I tried to add a briefcase to my cart but their website was having issues that day. I had to use three different computers just to get it in my cart. The site was so slow that I couldn't even go back to the product page to look at the briefcase because it wouldn't load. I had a limited time to purchase the item before it would leave my cart so I checked out, which took several minutes because the site was down.
When my briefcase arrived several weeks later, I was disappointed to find that it was extremely scratched up inside. I had planned on selling it to make some extra money, but when I tried to return it, I found out there were no returns on this particular sale. I tried to sell it on eBay for weeks with no luck, even lowering the price to $400. I then took it to several upscale second-hand stores and even to a Louis Vuitton store, but all of them agreed that it was fake.
I called Beyond The Rack to let them know what had happened, but they were completely unapologetic and didn't even deny that the bag was fake. They just ignored everything I was saying and said it was my fault for not sending it back when I got it. This company does not care if they sell you fake stuff. I still have the briefcase to this day because I will not sell it or even use it if it is fake.
After I wrote this review, Beyond The Rack reached out to me about a week later. They apologized and offered free shipping on my next order, but I was not satisfied. They should be ashamed of themselves for selling fake items and not taking responsibility for their mistake. I have not bought anything from them since and I never will again.
Beyond The Rack: Incompetent and Unprofessional Customer Service
This site is not worth your time or money, trust me!
I decided to give Beyond The Rack a chance despite warnings from friends and online reviews. I found what I thought was a great deal and placed my first order in July for a birthday present. However, when I received the package on July 29, I was disappointed to find that it was the wrong product and it was directed to the wrong person. Not only was the wrong item shipped, but someone else's private information was breached. As a business, they should be more careful in ensuring accurate processing of all orders.
I contacted their customer service representative and they promptly picked up the phone and seemed genuine in wanting to resolve the matter. I was instructed to return the wrong parcel and they promised to keep me updated via email. However, after a week of waiting, I heard absolutely nothing. I called again and was informed that an exchange cannot be executed and that a refund will be processed to my credit card within 1-2 weeks. I waited and waited, but after 3 weeks of null response, I called them for the third time and was livid to find out that the Returns Department did not even receive nor BEGIN to process my refund yet.
After this experience, I will NEVER order from this site again and I will make sure to warn others as well. To add insult to injury, the agent said that a shipping and handling fee of $10 will be deducted from my refund. I was furious. However, in the end, the agent said the fee will be waived.
I am disappointed and frustrated with Beyond The Rack's high level of incompetency and low level of professionalism. I now vow to never give my business to them again. They have completely lost my trust as a customer.
Beyond The Rack's Customer Service Needs Improvement: Incomplete Bikini Top and Unhelpful Representative
I'm having a bit of trouble with Beyond The Rack's customer service at the moment. I recently received a bikini bottom and top from them, but unfortunately, the top was missing some beads that hold the straps together. I had already taken off all the labels and was about to pack it for my vacation when I noticed the missing pieces. I don't have time to return or exchange it, and I wasted a lot of time trying to find a matching top and bottom in my size. To make matters worse, BTR is only offering me a $10 credit to my account, which is unacceptable. I paid $90 for this bikini, and now I'm stuck with an incomplete top. Why aren't their items checked for quality and completeness before being shipped out?
I tried to be flexible and asked if they could contact the vendor to send the missing pieces or equivalent pieces, but the customer service representative was not helpful. They minimized the problem and said that a $10 credit was "plenty to cover the cost of the missing ornaments." This is not true, as the ornaments are plated to protect from erosion, and I can't buy missing ornaments using BTR credit. The inconvenience this has caused and how BTR has left me scrambling to find a solution before my vacation is worth far more than $10.
I hope BTR can rectify this mistake and show more respect to their clients. I've asked the customer service representative twice now to pass my case on to a supervisor so we can find a reasonable solution. If they still refuse to deal with this problem appropriately, I will have to escalate. This is false advertising and illegal.
UPDATE (23/07/2014):
Thanks to this site, ***@beyondtherack got in touch with me (as per the comment you see posted). They were quick to try to resolve the issue to the best of their abilities. Unfortunately, the missing ornaments could not be replaced, and the item as well as any equivalent items were out of stock. The woman I corresponded with was extremely professional and understanding. She offered a few solutions, but they didn't work for me. Ultimately, she found a solution that was far beyond what I had expected, and I'm satisfied with the outcome.
I had also forwarded her my correspondence with customer service and told her to make her own judgments about how it was being handled. She agreed with me that it was inadequate and understood my frustration. She spoke to that individual, and hopefully, future encounters with BTR customer service will be smoother.
All in all, thanks to this individual, we were able to find a timely and appropriate resolution! As such, I've changed my rating to a 3-star. I would give the individual from [protected]@BTR 5 stars! But I can't ignore everything that led up to it. So I've amended my rating to 3 stars. Hopefully, with future orders, it will go up to 5!
Mixed Experiences with Beyond The Rack: Shop Around and Compare Prices Before Making a Purchase
I've been shopping at Beyond The Rack (BTR) for a few years now and I've had some good and not-so-good experiences. As a shopper, it's important to do your research and compare prices. I've noticed that BTR sometimes inflates their prices to make it seem like you're getting a better deal. So, it's always a good idea to shop around and compare prices before making a purchase.
I've had mixed experiences with the items I've purchased from BTR. Some items have been great, while others have been disappointing. For example, I once bought a top that was originally priced at $90, but BTR had it for $29. When I received it, I didn't think it was worth $29 and I could have bought a similar top at Urban Planet for $15. I've also received items with uneven stitching, which makes me think they might be seconds.
Recently, I ordered a purse from BTR, but I received the wrong one. When I contacted customer service, they couldn't replace it with the one I wanted. What I found strange was that the exact same purse was being sold again weeks later, but under a different designer name. Hmm, suspicious.
My worst experience with BTR was when I ordered a battery-powered motorcycle for my grandson as a Christmas gift. When it arrived, there were missing parts, and I had to go through BTR to get it resolved. After waiting for a solution and exchanging too many emails, it was already December, and I was fed up. I told BTR that I no longer wanted to wait and asked where to send the bike back. To their credit, they gave me a full refund, and I didn't have to ship the bike back. We put the bike together and found out that the missing parts were just for show and not needed to operate the bike. However, the quality of the bike was poor, and it was made in China. After doing some research, I found many complaints about the supplier and the quality of their products.
It's worth noting that many items on BTR are made in China, which can be an indication of poor quality. However, it's not just BTR; many items in malls are also made in China. It really depends on what you're buying, so be aware of the origin.
In terms of customer service, I've had mostly positive experiences with BTR. I prefer to communicate via email so that I have a paper trail. Returning items has never been an issue, and I've always received a full refund back to my credit card if there was an error on BTR's end.
Delivery times can be frustrating, and it's disappointing when you receive the wrong or damaged item or if BTR oversells a product. Overall, I've been happy with BTR and their products. Some items I love, while others are not so great, but I keep them because returning them isn't worth the cost.
Disappointed with Beyond The Rack: Accused of Multiple Accounts and Parcel Theft
I've been a member of Beyond The Rack for three years now and I have to say, I've spent a lot of money on this site. I order from them almost every day and I've always been happy with their customer service. However, today everything changed and I'm really disappointed with them.
This morning, I found out that my membership had been blocked. When I called to find out what was going on, they told me that I must have requested it. But that wasn't true. Later on, I got an email accusing me of setting up multiple accounts just to get $10 credits. I couldn't believe it! I only have one account and my daughter has her own account too. Sometimes we share the $10 credits, but we're family and we do that with all store vouchers. It's not like it's against the rules or anything.
I emailed them back right away to tell them that they were wrong and that I was really upset about it. But they didn't seem to care. When I called them, the rep just told me that they were sending out those emails to protect customers and that I shouldn't take it personally. But how could I not take it personally? They were accusing me of something I didn't do!
To make matters worse, Canada Post delivered a parcel to me last week and marked it as delivered, but I never received it. When I called Canada Post, they told me to call Beyond The Rack. But when I did, they accused me of stealing the parcel! Can you believe it? I had to spend days trying to track down my parcel myself. It was a nightmare.
All of this has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I used to recommend Beyond The Rack to everyone, but now I'm not so sure. They advertise everywhere to get your business and they try to keep you with $10 credits, but they treat their customers like this? It's not right. Over the years, I've received damaged items, broken items, and the wrong items, but I hardly ever complain. I just go with it and smile. But now I'm really disappointed in them.
Frustrating Experience with Beyond The Rack: Delayed Shipping, False Information, and Poor Customer Service
I have a lot of questions about Beyond The Rack. First of all, why do they give "blanket answers" when they give false information about when an item will be shipped? It's frustrating to be given excuses when you're waiting for something you've already paid for. For example, I ordered something over a month ago and it was supposed to be shipped between September 13th and 30th. When those dates passed, I contacted Beyond The Rack and they just kept saying "we will look into it". It's now October 6th and I still don't know where my order is.
It's also frustrating that Beyond The Rack makes you pay for merchandise before they even have it. They explain that they take orders and then have suppliers send them the merchandise, but that doesn't excuse the delays.
Another issue I have is that they send notices that an item has been shipped when it's actually just in transit. I tried to track one of their shipments and found out that it hadn't even been received by Canada Post yet. Beyond The Rack's response was that it was in transit from their Las Vegas storage, but that's still dishonest.
I have two orders that I'm waiting for and neither of them have been shipped yet. One of them was ordered on August 30th and was supposed to be shipped between September 13th and 20th. The other was ordered on September 30th and was supposed to be shipped between October 14th and 21st. Beyond The Rack has stopped communicating with me and I'm getting frustrated.
It's now November 4th and neither of my orders have been marked as shipped. Beyond The Rack still hasn't responded to my inquiries about what's going on with my orders. I'm starting to regret ordering from them.
It's now November 10th and my orders still haven't been shipped. I received a call from Beyond The Rack, but it was useless. They told me my first order was still in transit and wouldn't answer any specific questions about it. I'm not happy with their customer service.
It's now November 22nd and I finally received my first order from August 30th. The second order from September 30th should arrive soon. I did receive an automated phone call saying I would receive a $10 credit for the delay, but I'm still frustrated with the whole experience.
On November 23rd, I finally received my second order, but it was the wrong tote. I'm keeping it because I don't want to deal with Beyond The Rack anymore. I hope people read reviews before ordering from them.

Disappointing Experience with Beyond The Rack: Questionable Quality and Authenticity
I recently made my first purchase from Beyond The Rack (BTR) during the summer. I was excited to receive my order, which included a pair of sandals and a designer handbag made from "genuine Italian leather". The sandals arrived quickly, but I was disappointed with the quality. I expected better for the original price, but I was grateful that I didn't pay more for them.
However, the handbag took over six weeks to arrive, which was longer than the estimated shipping time provided when I placed my order. When I contacted customer service, they explained that they order the bag from the manufacturer and then ship it to the customer, so the delivery time depends on when they receive it. The package was then shipped to Eastern Canada for delivery to the "Far West" in British Columbia, which would take at least a week. When I asked why it would take so long, the customer service representative sarcastically replied that they were driving it.
When the handbag finally arrived, I was hesitant to use it because I questioned its authenticity as a designer bag. It didn't look or even smell like the Italian leather handbags I saw when I visited Italy. As someone who owns many leather handbags, I know what leather should smell like, whether it's from Italy or North America. This "leather" had a peculiar smell that made me suspicious.
After doing some research, I discovered that the manufacturer was not an Italian company but one from Eastern Europe. I also found that BTR had marked up the price of the bag much higher than any other site I looked at, including many European sites. I debated returning the bag, but I didn't want to be stuck with a credit to BTR that I could only use to buy more fake products.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with BTR. The quality of the sandals and the authenticity of the handbag were both questionable. While I appreciate the quick delivery of the sandals, the long wait for the handbag and the lack of transparency about its origin were frustrating. I don't think I'll be buying from BTR again.
Beyond The Rack: Scam or Misunderstanding? My Experience with Their Bogus Emails
I recently received an email from Beyond The Rack claiming that I owed them $10.00. At first, I was confused because I had never heard of this company before. I was certain that I did not have an account with them, and I had no idea how they got my name. I was so angry that I decided to forward their email to the Attorney General. I knew that what they were doing was illegal, and I hoped that they would get shut down.
To my surprise, I received another email from them. I was even more irate because I still did not have an account with them. They were trying to give me credit, but I did not want it. I was convinced that they were a scam of a company. I had no idea how they got my name or email, and I was certain that they had no right to set up accounts for people without their consent. I was especially angry because they were telling people that they owed them money when they did not. What kind of business ethics is that?
I still intend to report them for fraud and scamming, and I hope that every other person they sent those bogus emails out to does the same. They need to stop emailing me. I don't know them, and I don't want to know them. For the last time, I do not have an account with them!
However, BeyondTheRack's official representative responded to my review. They apologized for the confusion with the email they sent me. They assured me that I did not owe them any money. In fact, the "balance" was a credit on my account, visible on the top left-hand side of their website when I log in. This credit is ready to use and will automatically apply towards my next purchase. They apologized again for any inconvenience this has caused and wished me happy holidays and all the best in the New Year.
Overall, I am still skeptical about Beyond The Rack. While their response was helpful, I am still not convinced that they are a trustworthy company. I will continue to monitor my account and make sure that they do not charge me for anything that I did not authorize.
Beyond The Rack Review: Nice Prices, Terrible Service
I gotta say, I had some pretty high hopes for Beyond The Rack. I mean, the prices were great and the items looked super nice. But boy, was I wrong. I made the mistake of ordering not once, not twice, but three times from them. And let me tell you, I will never make that mistake again.
So the first time I ordered, it was for a pair of shoes. I got an email saying they were on their way and I could track them through USPS. I was cool with waiting about 4 weeks for them to arrive, but after 3 weeks, I checked on the delivery and found out they were returned to the warehouse for being undeliverable. What a bummer. I called customer service and asked them to send them back to me, giving them my address to confirm it was correct. But nope, same thing happened again. So I cancelled the order.
But for some reason, I decided to give them another chance. I ordered a pair of sandals and a skirt, double checking my shipping address. But guess what? The same thing happened to the skirt! I called customer service again and gave them a different address to ship it to. Meanwhile, I was checking on my sandals and they actually made it to the local post office. But then, they were returned to the warehouse too for the same reason! I talked to at least 4 different customer service reps, each one saying they were checking on the shipping address and making corrections. One even suggested that I must have typed in my address wrong. Like, come on, it's my address. I know where I live!
It's been over a month now and I don't think I'll be getting my merchandise anytime soon. And let me tell you, the prices and items may be nice, but it's not worth the hassle you have to go through to actually get your order. So my advice? Stay away from Beyond The Rack.

Beyond the Rack: Poor Customer Service and Fake Products
I love shopping online, and I usually stick to reputable sites like Saks, Shopbop, SSENSE, and Neiman Marcus. However, I recently decided to try out Beyond the Rack for the first time. I ordered a Celine Trio bag for $800, but when it arrived, I could tell right away that it was not authentic. I own other Celine bags, including other Trios in different colors, and this one just didn't measure up.
I had read on some forums that other people had similar issues and were able to get refunds, so I contacted Beyond the Rack's customer service via live chat. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was not very helpful. They took ten minutes to respond to my initial message, and when they did reply, they were rude and dismissive. They even accused me of spreading "black propaganda" just to damage the company's reputation!
I was shocked and appalled by the poor customer service I received from Beyond the Rack. It's hard to believe that a company could be so poorly run. When I asked for a refund, the representative told me that I could only get BTR credits. Why would I want to spend $800 on a site that I don't trust and will never shop at again? And why should I settle for store credit when I received a product that was not as advertised?
I did some research and found that other people have had similar issues with Beyond the Rack. It's a shame that this website exists to take advantage of consumers who are making large purchases. I would advise anyone considering shopping at Beyond the Rack to think twice and do their research before making a purchase.
Beyond The Rack Failed to Notify Customers of Ownership Change and Evaporated My Credit
Beyond The Rack is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. I had a credit of around $800 in my account, which was made by my return in 2015. However, I received an email stating that the ownership of the company would be changed in September 2016. I tried to buy something in October 2016, which was after the ownership change, but I was not able to see my credit on the renewed website. So, I called customer service and talked with an agent named Paul. He said that my credit was still valid and would not expire since it was made from actual money. Therefore, I could use it for my next purchase.
However, today, April 12, 2017, I talked with customer service manager Marie, and she said that "unfortunately, as I have mentioned you previously *** Canada Inc. (formerly known as Beyond the Rack) filed for protection with the court last March 24th, 2016, and was purchased by a new owner May 24th, 2016. The company is now under *** Canada Inc." I never received any notification about this change.
I told Marie that the ownership change does not mean that Beyond The Rack can evaporate my money, especially when the customer did not receive any information about it. Also, there was not even one line mentioning it. She said that I did not receive an email because I did not make a recent order, which does not make any sense. Because I did not make a recent order, I am not eligible to get notified regarding such a money-sensitive issue? It is the company's responsibility to notify any major legal/rule change, especially regarding money.
The current website still says, "Promotional and referral credits expire one year after they're issued. Account credits do not expire. You will be notified by email if any of your promotional or referral credits are about to expire." However, I never received any email regarding this at all.
I will have to open a court case since it is more than $500 current value. I took screenshots of the whole conversation (live chat) and Beyond The Rack website so that if they change the website, I can still have the evidence.
If anyone wants to join me, feel free to message me. I can share my information. Or if any Beyond The Rack management personnel saw this who is eligible to resolve, contact me ASAP. Thanks.
Beware of Beyond The Rack: Selling Counterfeit Items as Authentic
I ordered a handbag from Beyond The Rack on November 21, 2015, and it arrived defective. Unfortunately, BTR was unable to replace the item, so they refunded me. However, when the item popped back up on their site, I decided to repurchase it. I received the second package and immediately questioned its authenticity. I referred the item to a reputable authentication service and was advised that the item is a replica. It is unlawful to sell counterfeit items, and these items are being sold as "authentic," misleading customers into buying counterfeit items for thousands of dollars.
I am waiting to hear from BTR, hoping they are quick to resolve this issue. However, I can say that I will never order from them again and will encourage others to do the same. It is unacceptable to sell counterfeit items and then refuse to issue a refund when I have provided a statement of authenticity (or in this case, lack of).
UPDATE 2/9/16: BTR has responded, offering a site credit. However, a credit is of no value to me as I will not make any future purchases after being sold a counterfeit item. While their standard response states they check into all their suppliers and vendors and sell only authentic items, I cannot help but wonder what QA process is in place to validate the authenticity of these items before they are shipped to consumers. The item I received is a blatant fake. Buyers beware.
I would also like to add that the T&C of BTR Policy indicates that faulty goods should be refunded to the original method of payment within ten days of delivery. It is my assumption that a counterfeit product is considered to be faulty and misrepresented and, as listed in the T&C, should be refunded to the original method of payment. It is disappointing that BTR did not follow their own policy in this case.
Beyond the Rack Review: Are They Selling Fakes?
I've shopped at Beyond the Rack a few times and for the most part, I've been pretty happy with my purchases and the customer service. However, my most recent experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I ordered a few Burberry scarves because the price was too good to pass up. When they finally arrived, they were way later than expected, but I was still excited to open the boxes. Unfortunately, what I found inside was not what I was expecting. The scarves were clearly fake - the box and tag were the wrong material and color, and the quality was terrible. There was no edge stitching, so the scarves were already unraveling. I own several real Burberry scarves, so I know what they're supposed to look and feel like. I contacted customer service and they told me I could return the scarves, which I was happy about. I sent them back weeks ago, but I'm still waiting for a refund or any kind of contact from Beyond the Rack. I've emailed customer service, but I haven't heard anything back.
This isn't the first time I've had an issue with a purchase from Beyond the Rack. I bought a Prada bag a while ago and was happy with it at first, but when I tried to sell it at a consignment store, I was told it was fake. I wanted a second opinion, so I sent it to another reputable online consignment store, and they also returned it to me and told me it was fake. To make matters worse, they charged me for authenticating it. I was worried because I've bought a lot from Beyond the Rack, and I started to wonder if everything I've bought from them was fake. I recently bought a Celine Micro luggage and was worried it didn't seem right, so I paid to have it authenticated and was told it was fake. I also just received a Givenchy box bag and it doesn't have the serial/date code stamped on the back. All of the other bags of this style have the stamping on the back of the inside tab. I've emailed customer service about all of these incidents, but I haven't heard anything back.
I'm extremely frustrated because I've spent a lot of money at Beyond the Rack. I know I've received real items from them in the past - I've bought real Chanel and Louboutin shoes from them, for example. But now I'm starting to wonder if most of what I've bought from them is fake. They say they only sell authentic items, and I want to believe them, but there's no way they can authenticate every item they sell. I think most of the items they sell are real, but they must have suppliers that sell fakes. I wish they would just admit their mistakes and apologize. I would understand that. But ignoring loyal customers with valid concerns is not acceptable.
Beyond the Rack Review: Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Issues
Hey guys,
I gotta tell ya, I wouldn't recommend Beyond the Rack to anyone. I've been a customer for years and let me tell you, it's been a rollercoaster ride. At first, their customer service was decent and I'd receive my orders within a few weeks. But as time went on and they grew, things went downhill fast. The reps started getting snippy and rude, and sometimes they'd even hang up on me mid-conversation. And don't even get me started on Canada Post, the delivery service they use. They don't give a crap about us customers and they'll just leave your package outside your door without even getting a signature. Who knows if there's any kind of insurance or protection for our orders?
So here's what happened to me. I ordered two watches on April 29th and I still haven't received them. Then on May 26th, I got an email from Beyond the Rack saying my items had been delivered on May 16th. But I never got them! So I called up customer service and spoke to a rep named Lois. She took down my info and asked me to fax over my order details and everything related to it. She gave me a case number and said they'd look into it. The next day, I called back to follow up and spoke to a rep named Daemain. But she didn't know anything about my case! I had to explain everything all over again and she promised to get back to me. But after four days of silence, I called again and spoke to a Vanessa. And guess what? She hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor! When I called back, the rep refused to let me speak to a supervisor and made me explain everything AGAIN. It's so frustrating!
So yeah, I'm done with Beyond the Rack. It's not worth waiting 2-3 months for a product, especially when there's no insurance and the delivery drivers don't care. And to top it off, the customer service reps treat you like it's your fault. I hope this review helps you guys avoid the same headache I went through. Don't even bother with their website.
Thanks for listening.
Deceptive Practices and Misleading Descriptions: My Experience with Beyond The Rack
I had a really bad experience with Beyond The Rack. Their product descriptions are completely misleading and even when the item is defective or fake, they refuse to give a refund except in the form of a "BTR" account. This means that you have to trust that the next item you order will be as described on the site, which is a huge risk. I really wish I had read the reviews before I placed my order. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is, especially when it comes to online shopping. I would recommend going to Amazon instead, as they stand behind their products and prioritize customer satisfaction.
I won't forget to read reviews before I order from a site like Beyond The Rack again. They can keep their "account credits." I consider it money spent on my education. I also plan to tell everyone I know about my experience so that they don't get scammed by this company. The only positive thing I can say is that at least their customer service calls were answered in the U.S. That's the only reason I'm giving them one star.
In response to Beyond The Rack's broken record reply, I have already contacted them numerous times and had several email conversations. I believe their descriptions are carefully "faked" and they misrepresent what they are selling. For example, the item I received was described as "leather," but it was actually made of all "man-made" materials. There were also visible blemishes in the shiny metal decoration that felt like sand grains and were sharp to the touch. This is a clear defect, but it was never addressed or acknowledged by their customer service. They refused to give me a refund and only offered to put the money into a "BTR" account. I don't trust them to send me what is described or to provide quality products without defects.
I have now read reviews about their practices and wish I had done so before I placed my order. If I had not been observant, I would have also been charged for "return shipping" even though I had not used the label enclosed. This issue was only resolved when I proved that I had provided my own return shipping. I will be posting poor reviews of Beyond The Rack everywhere I can to warn others about their deceptive practices. They know exactly what they're doing and it's not right.
Beyond the Rack: Terrible Customer Service and Shipping Issues
I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Beyond the Rack. I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter and they were shipped out via UPS. But then, for some reason, UPS dropped them off at my local post office (according to Beyond the Rack). I don't get why they did that, since UPS is in my neighborhood all the time. Anyway, somewhere between UPS and the post office, the label with my address got removed. So the post office sent the package back to Beyond the Rack. I called them up right away to let them know what was going on. They had the tracking number, so they could see that the package was coming back. I asked them to send another pair of boots via UPS only, but they gave me a hard time about it. They said I had to wait for the boots to come back before they could send out a new pair. I argued with the girl on the phone for a bit, but eventually I gave up.
A week later, I called them back to follow up. I was put on hold for a while, and then the call got disconnected. I called back again and got a guy with a heavy accent. I explained the situation to him, but he didn't seem to care. He told me that once the boots came back, I'd have to wait 5-7 business days for them to process the return. I tried to explain that I didn't return the boots, they were never delivered because of their mistake. But he wouldn't listen to me. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but he wouldn't let me. I'm so frustrated right now. I still don't have the boots, I haven't gotten my money back, and I don't know if I ever will. I sent them an email today as a last-ditch effort to get these boots. I told them they have until the end of business on Monday, November 18th to give me a delivery date, or I'm going to dispute the purchase with my credit card company and demand a refund of the shipping charges.
I've ordered from Beyond the Rack before, and I've only had one item delivered on time. I know they sometimes say it'll take 3 weeks for delivery, but these boots were supposed to ship in 3 days. That's why I ordered them. But now the event my daughter was going to wear them to is long over. I'm never going to order from Beyond the Rack again. I'd rather pay full price somewhere else and actually get my item. Their customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. Sorry, Beyond the Rack, but you just lost another customer.
credit card charged, but no confirmation notification
I have never dealt with a company that does not give the consumer a confirmation notification or a way to track an order. My credit card has been charged. I feel it would be proper to keep the customer informed. Order number: [protected]. Order date:
4-23-2019
ummm...do I really need to write a 350 word report for something that should automatically be part of customer care services? *sigh* This is too hard. Conducting business should not mainly fall as a customer's responsibility.
item not received
Contacted btr several times regarding item not received, either no answer, or they are closed until 9am and the latest - your wait time is at least 1/2 hour, please email us. Emailed 1 week ago, no response. Emailed again this morning, we shall see. Tried logging into the online site, password rejected, even though it is my correct password, tried to reset and nothing! My card has already been charged over $50. I either want my product or a full refund.
customer service email response
If I request a returns slip u never ever receive it they hope that 30 days will pass and u aren't allowed to return after that time frame. And when y email req a returns slip u receive an email back eventually saying u will receive one within 72 hrs and of course this never ever gets sent to you . It's a scam to make u keep unwanted items. They also close at 4pm who does that ! So u can't csll after work . The after sales is disgusting people should stop buying from this company an maybe it will go bankrupt a second time !
Worst customer service ever !
I cannot reach anyone
Hello two weeks ago I made an online purchase at Beyond the Rack, and they charged my credit card last week. I found out the product ordered is not available for delivery until at least three weeks! I have tried to contact them by email many times, tried calling the toll free number, and other local number with heavy queue lines and no answer. I have not been able to get someone to get back to me, .. This is not professional!
Worst online store
It was a horrible experience, to be honest.
They worked very slow and I will never deal with them again. I ordered one single dress that was in stock at the moment of placing the order, but it took them one month to finally ship it. One. Single. Dress. That didn't even cost much (but of course, it's not a reason for anything at all). When I eventually received it, I thought that I would probably send it back. It looked cheap, the material was rough, not made of cotton as it was promised.
Right now I am trying to figure out how to ship it to them...
product and price
Made a search on google and you will see that the articles on this site are more expensive, in addition this company has problems of debt, that is why they do not refund their customers.
They want to make money during the holiday season and black friday, that is why they give you a credit and will not refund you if you have a problem with your purchase.

refuse to return $500 credit
I've been their customer for 2 years. I bought some I returned some, they don't do refund but give credit for returned items. Last year when I checked my account, all my credit disappeared without any explanation. I called them and they said they changed ownership so all credit is gone and nothing I can do. So I lost $500 credit (╥︣﹏᷅╥) . Can someone helping me where should I call or reach to get back my money or at least warning everybody not to be in my case! Thank you so much. please give me advise ... This is my email [protected]@gmail.com
product and service
I ordered a watch on July18, 2017 and received it today. The watch was quite different from the one I ordered. The ad showed an oblong shaped watch in white mother of pearl and I received a watch face with a huge circular front in stainless steel. They did not indicate that it was non-returnable . But they have not included a return form. I have sent 5 e-mails, have called a dozen times...no response. I cannot return the watch without, I cannot believe that Canada allows this company to sell goods and not abide by the law. I have spent 421.47, received a watch for Godzilla's wrist and no one will respond to my enquiries.
What do I do?
I ordered a watch on July 18, 2017 and it arrived today July 27, 2017. Sadly it is NOT the watch I ordered as mine should have an oblong and delicate face in mother of pearl and the one sent has a huge circular face in stainless steel and is suited for Godzilla's wrist. More so, they did not include a return sticker with address nor a shipping sticker. I cannot return watch without. This watch never indicated that it could not be returned. Now I am out $421.47. They have not responded to my e-mails nor do they answer the phone. I've called a dozen times. They must be illegal. Surely, there are laws in Canada that forbid these scams.

complaint
2017-07-18 requested a return label. Horrible customer service. I cant believe how you can treat loyal customers like this. Changing your policy without any notifications. Not return emails and not taking a customer seriously and making them feel bad. I called and they don't want me to talk to a manager, they said they will forward a message but I know they will never call me back.
no return label included with order
I have notified BTR twice, to email a RETURN LABEL so that the merchandise can be returned. PLEASE do not ignore this request. I desperately want the get the items sent away.
Feel that BTR could do better for its customers by paying more attention to the things that go wrong, rather than all the things that go correctly.
Cannot understand why a complaint must be so long in order to garner attention. What else can be said about something that has a simple solution. I have always had a good relationship with your company and would like it to continue.
