I've just about reached my limit re: Blizzard Entertainment's deveopment team. I have reached the conclusion that although they are well-educated and have a weath of ideas, they are incompentent when it comes to writing code for World of Warcraft. By rough estimates, they owe each of my characters that are lvl 60 or above about 300 gold for repairs when being involuntarily dismounted from a flying mount and falling to my death, incuring equipment damage that has to be repaired. It happens randomly when crossing zone boundaries until the Cross-Realm-Zone feature. Blizzard Entertainment has admitted that the code is broken, and Greg Street (aka Ghostcrawler) has all but said they are NOT going to fix it. THAT is incompetence if there ever was a definition for it. There are "features" broken from as far back as Burning Crusade, through Wrath of the Lich King, and into Cataclysm that they have ignored until the player base simply gave up reporting the issues. Mists of Pandaria has raised the level of incompetence and disregard for player experience to it's new, current, high level. Any attempt to discuss this in their forums is met with derision.
Four fraudulent charges made to my account: one for $149.99, one for $149.99, one for $99.95, and a third under Blizzard E-shop for $181.17!
Several more for blizzard eshop documented here http://fatpenguinblog.com/scott-rippee/credit-card-fraud-i-lose/
I am sick and tired of blizzard not addressing complaints about the in game content on world of warcraft. they repeatedly ignore user complaints and users are rude and vulgar and although the tos covers this blizzard does nothing about it.
Slow response to problems, often there is no reply to problems or staff act as if they care but the problems are usually not resolved.
They promoted the annual pass program saying you would get beta-access as soon as it started. they changed that advertisement now but have already fooled many players into buying the annual pass. proof of the false advertising: http://lorehound.com/wow/blizzard-back-in-hot-water-over-mist-of-pandaria-beta-invites/
Totally agree with you, Sarge. Also, since 'Anti-Vision' took over/merged/whatever with Blizz, the game seems to have lost all intelligence, credibility (to me) and - well - vision. It seems the best they can come up with is more dailies. MoP isn't that great, and Isle of Thunder is just Dread Wastes on steroids. Yawn.
Funny how hardcore WoWers feel so threatened by negative comments over their beloved game, that they tend to assume that anyone else who's played the game, doesn't 'get out in the real world'. Insecure, much?
While this has happened to me before there is a logical explanation to this. Yes the code may be broken but every time its happen to me it was my fault. I hit accidentaly the key for a different mount [i have the bar on the mounts and hit 2 while 1 is active] this will dismount you in mid air. All my cases this is why it happen. There are many things they failed to fix that they cant find. they do the best they can.
@ironicalynot - might want to research your activision comment. if you read activision blizzard is a sub devision of their company. while blizzard ent is a separate company not affiliated with activision. If activision was in control of world of warcraft i think we would worry more about our game since they are more corporate than blizzard ent in how they make games.
